"I am going to bed!!! Hope you don't get a wink of sleep!!!", she texted as she jumped into her futon, furious.

Kanako sat down on his bed, proud of his work. He leaned to his wall as he scrolled through the two pictures he took of her. It was finely detailed, he thought it would come out as blurry. The first picture of her silly mocking face, her pale face reflecting the moonlight to one side, and her eyes shining brightly in the dim light. The second one was even more silly of her, losing her composure and pouting, with her not so pale face.

"Seriously,", he was trying to hold is laughter as he talked to himself, "Was this supposed to be a punishment or a reward?"

He scrolled between the two pictures again and again, looking at the fine details. The camera did a good job blurring out the background and focusing only on her dazzling face. "I will take it as a reward", he giggled as he prepared to transfer the pictures to his phone gallery.

Instincts told him to share the two pictures to Ayane too. As it was late at night and he still didn't sleep, he shut off his brain to save some energy.

"You look cute in these pictures.", he texted after he sent those pictures, without thinking, and went to bed, closing his eyes.

But something odd happened he felt. His shut down brain sent an emergency signal to him, and he didn't know why. His brain forced itself to reboot for a split second allowing him to thing what he had done. "OH SHOOT!"

He jumped out of his bed and felt his heart jump out his body too. He rushed to his phone to search for Ayane's contacts, as he desperately wished she hadn't seen the message, though he knew it was just a slight probability. But his luck seemed to be on his favour.

"Phew!", he calmed down, falling to his bed after he deleted the text message. Ayane didn't see the message. Maybe she fell asleep. Maybe she was too angry to look at his messages. "I have to apologise to her tomorrow.", he giggled as he closed his eyes again, with a greater relief than before, which helped him fall asleep faster.
