Chapter 94:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
Her eyes felt as heavy as a rock, but every time she closed them, she didn't fall asleep. She opened her phone. It was 2 am.
"Eh? Why is he online at such an hour?", she wondered as she saw the green online indicator under Kanako's profile. She hurriedly to type. "It's now good to be on your phone at such an hour. You have school tomorrow.", she laughed at the advice she didn't follow.
In instant reply! "The moon is beautiful tonight, isn't it? I was just staring at it. Reminds me of that night."
She looked at the moon herself. It was pretty. Getting out of her futon, she opened the window. A huge gust of dust free cold wind hit her face, freezing her skin. She looked up, gazing at the moon. "Yeah. The moon is beautiful tonight.", she typed.
She received a message. "To your left.", was all it said.
Too her surprise, Kanako's window was very close. He was peeking his head out, smiling and waving at her. "Can't sleep?", he asked her via text.
"Yep. Maybe its because Im in a new environment."
"Maybe."
"Hmmm... let's play a game! I am bored.", she replied enthusiastically.
"Sure. What kind of game though?"
"Let me think.... oh! What about this? We say a fun fact about ourselves in turn, sounds fun, right?"
"It sure does. But I don't think I have any fun facts about me."
"All facts are fun! I'm sure you have fun facts about yourself."
"You will see what I am talking about. You go first."
"Okay.", she giggled. "Hmmm... my height is 5 feet 3."
"Wow. You are small."
"Hey thats rude!"
"Tiny."
"Hey!!"
"Okay my turn. I am 6 feet 1."
"You are not even a feet taller then me. Heh.", she grinned.
"But I still am taller than you."
"That's because you are older!!"
"Oh yeah? Let's bring this topic a year later and see how well it ages."
"Thats unfair!"
"Call me senpai."
She put out a pouting sticker. That was the highest level of annoyance she could express in chats. But she felt it wasn't enough. She knew he was enjoying it the whole time.
"Look outside to the left!!", she texted with an angry cat sticker, as she slammed open the window carefully so that Sayaka doesn't wake up. Kanako was staring at her with curious eyes, awaiting her next move.
She stuck her tongue out and closed her left eye mockingly at him-

She was caught off guard. Kanako was prepared. He was holding his camera professionally as he was awaiting to take the perfect picture. Her face went red, flushed out as she blushed heavily at the embarrassment. She pouted.

If her face couldn't get any redder, it was already as red as a tomato. Losing the fight that somehow started, she slammed the window shut.
