Sunshine the tour guide

The capsule they are in morphs slightly so it can go onto a single rail electromagnetic train track. The portal folds into itself til it looks like a steel brief case. Someone picks it up and takes it into a nearby building.

"Now that we have arrived we will do a short tour while in the shuttle then go to the quarantine building. Once there we will spend two weeks but don't worry the place is spacious and there is lots to do in that two weeks." Sunshine says with her best smile.

The shuttle starts moving down the track and the chairs move one by one. The students end up in six wide rows except for the front row of two. Moving up an incline the shuttle is about as high as a second or third story building. The buildings aren't too different from modern day. The city is big enough to have the taller three to four story buildings with the occasional ten plus floor buildings.

"The area we just left is our technology center." Sunshine explains to the group. "Where most robots are designed and where the intelligence factor they have also known as AI is programmed. Along with what you all just experienced is our experiment on time travel."

"You mean we were guinea pigs." A girl with glasses near the front asks. Whispers break out.

"What she is trying to say is this place is where we conduct experiments." Amethyst tries calming the group. "Our travel through time was perfected before going and getting you."

"Then why is this a one way trip if you perfected it?" Asks a guy in the row infront of Lizzy.

"It seems some of you weren't paying the best attention at your assemblies." Amethyst let's out a sigh. "We used up a rare mineral for the jump. We can make more but it's harmful to the environment to make. Maybe one of you could be the one to figure out how to make it not so harmful."

Amethyst's purple face lights up to show a smile. Everyone's whispers are those of hope and not doubt.

"Now let's continue our tour of my home town, Tipatopia." Sunshine smiles.

The train passes building after building. Most are housing complexes with a few stores. There are little hovering robots trimming leaves from the vines on the buildings so no windows are covered. Lizzy recalls from the speech that they found a new and better way to harvest sunlight. Solar is now harvested by special windows. When paired with the greenery any pollutants that are made are canceled out.

"What's that wall for over there?" Stacy asks Sunshine.

"That was originally made to protect the city from lots of things but now it's just used to show the center of the city. What lies outside of it is all the fields needed to support the lives here. We are working on cleaning plots of land from radiation and pollutants as our city grows just like the other cities across the world."

Sunshine looks out the window.

"Oh here is the school both Aspen and I went to. Once you're out of quarantine everyone will go here. There are lots of different programs. The preservation program is huge since we are still trying to restore rainforests and such around the world. The tech program is still the most popular though. Second is the entertainment program. That one has the most subcategories."

"These tall buildings here are the governing buildings. If you pursue this career you will be the one communicating with other cities and keeping the peace amongst our city. That dome like building a little off in the distance is the jail. Not many people go there. It's rare but crime still happens."

"Oh this building here houses many different shops and businesses. This one..." She continues for fifteen more minutes on where things are. Which is shopping centers, businesses and housing complexes.

Then the shuttle goes down an incline and pulls infront of a building with what looks like a garage door. The door opens and the shuttle goes inside.

"Look they're spraying us again. They did this earlier. Must be a sanitation spray when combined with those lights." Someone comments in the middle row.

"You're right. There is a lot of work to prevent disease spread here." Amethyst hovers around. "You are free to get off the shuttle now. Everyone follow Sunshine and Aspen to get your room assignments. Your bags will make it to your rooms."

Everyone's suits go back into the seat where they came from. Doors open on the sides of the shuttle. Everyone files out while Lizzy makes her way to the back.

Amethyst hovers by the animal compartment then the doors start to open. Everyone is sleeping peacefully and the foam is gone. A humanoid robot shows up with crates.

"Don't worry they will be staying in the room with you since they have to quarantine too." Amethyst reassures Lizzy.

Lizzy picks up Bea and sets the sleeping goat in the one crate. Bea is starting to stir. Lizzy quickly grabs Speckles and gets him in his crate. All before he is conscience enough to start pecking. Henrietta and Fluffy are awake and talking to each other.

"Go follow the others. They will show you the building, a Soleil will be assigned to you and then you can check on these little ones." Amethyst tells Lizzy.

"Um. Alright." Lizzy says a little hesitant before getting off the shuttle. Lizzy watches as the crates get hovered into an elevator.

"Let's show you where everything is. This main floor is more for exercising. Mental health starts with a healthy body. You can see a track line on the floor for those that prefer not using one of our full body work out machines. Those are over here past the basketball court. Behind that wall is the pool. That way is an indoor soccer field and tennis courts. This building is more designed for your time era. Throwing you all head first into everything that has changed can really mess with you. Mental health is a biggy here."

Sunshine continues to walk through the building showing the group around.

"Once in the lounge you will be assigned a Soleil and they will show you to your room." Aspen informs them.

Second floor has a library, cafeteria and a lounge where they can eat or work on things. The walls are all glass with a few beams running through for structural support. The library has a "this time era" section that shows the "hard copies" of what books have become. Which is a thin metal band and a thin glass touch screen. They have "computers" in there too. Where the current tech is displaying the programs the students are use to. Then it will pretend to update often to show the progression of the computer. It was explained to us as we are babies learning how to walk.

Third through fifth floor levels are all living quarters. 

While everyone is in the lounge Soleils file in from the stair well. Aspen holds the glass door open for them and they hover around looking for who they have been assigned to.

One stops in front of Lizzy.

"Hello Elizabeth. Let me show you to your room on the fifth floor. Then we can work on my programming. " The white orb says.

Everyone is excited and are all waiting for the elevators. Lizzy can't wait. She pushes through people to get to the stairwell. With her Soleil close behind apologizing to the pushed people. Then Lizzy bounds up the grey walled with green stair case past a few others who are walking up them. She stops at the fifth floor. The halls the same grey with green carpet.

"Your room is 501. This way you can be by the stair well to the roof. On the roof you will find grass growing and other vegetation. We have a spot fenced off just for Bea, Henrietta, Fluffy and Speckles." The Soleil informed Lizzy on the way up.

Lizzy steps in front of door 501. There is no handle so she gives it a push. The door doesn't budge.

"Here." The Soleil's small robotic arm pulls out a gold chained necklace from inside it. On the end was a ruby with a rod inside it. "If you wear this the door will respond."

Lizzy slips the necklace on just as the first group gets off the elevator. Then she hears the door click and it begins to swing open toward them.
