She giggled and looked around in caution. She then murmured into her ear in a low voice something.

Sayaka blushed. "Is that really true?"

"You think your mom is lying? I was super surprised when Kanako brought 'her' the previous day."

"You should be."

"But you know, I wasn't concerned, seeing how you said good things about her while your work together with her."

"Such a scary coincidence...", Sayaka got up to get up. She headed towards the fridge at the corner of the kitchen, hoping for something to drink. She was getting thirsty.

"Oh, barley tea!", despite the cold weather, her eyes locked on the drink that people normally drink during the summer. Her hands reached out to the jug kept at the door pockets as she closed the door and looked around for a glass.

Her mom's gaze locked on the wall clock. "Look at the time! I have to make breakfast." She hurried to the kitchen.

"Do you always make breakfast this early?"

"You have been out for work so much you are forgetting our house's natural routine.", Midori tightened the apron strings.
