Chapter 3:

A Rough Start

I Accidentally Entered My Favorite Anime World

Kaito's first day as an instructor at Ilenia’s elite academy was proving to be more challenging than he’d anticipated. As he walked through the academy grounds, he noticed some students whispering and chuckling, throwing amused glances his way. Kaito grinned, understanding well that as a commoner teaching in a noble institution, he’d naturally attract attention.
With a confident stride, Kaito approached the training field where his first class was about to begin. Mentally, he prepared himself to face any sneers or dismissive attitudes. “Ah, this is going to be a long day,” he muttered to himself, reminded of his goals here not just to teach, but also to look after Rena and, if possible, leverage his position to connect with influential figures, particularly Leon.
(Meeting the Students)
Once all the students had gathered on the training field, Kaito stood before them with his hands on his hips, his gaze steady. Most of the students, mainly nobles, looked at him with skeptical eyes, especially since Kaito, dressed simply and exuding a casual demeanor, seemed worlds apart from their usual teachers.
A boy with blonde hair and an ostentatious uniform raised his hand and smirked. “Teacher, is it true that you’re an adventurer? How can a commoner like you even think of teaching us nobles?” he asked with a condescending tone.
Kaito simply gave him a calm smile. “Yes, I’m an adventurer. But I’m not here to discuss social status I’m here to teach you how to fight and harness your elemental powers. If any of you doubt that, feel free to step up and try me.”
The students exchanged glances, some of them intrigued by his boldness. Others laughed quietly, as if amused by the very idea that an adventurer could be a match for them.
(The Training Scene)
Accepting the challenge, a student named Jared, known as the top talent in the fire element class, stepped forward confidently. “I’ll take you on, teacher,” he sneered. “But don’t regret it later.”
Kaito gave him a nod and an easy smile. “Alright then, Jared. Show me what you’ve got.”
The two of them faced each other in the center of the field, with the other students watching intently. Jared launched a fierce fire attack toward Kaito, flames hurtling fast in his direction. With swift, calculated movement, Kaito dodged and used his black magic to form a shield that absorbed the fire. The students were astonished at how effortlessly he blocked the attack.
“Is that how you fight?” Kaito teased with a grin. “If that’s all you’ve got, you might need a lot more practice.”
The students watching began to feel a mix of awe and respect for Kaito’s abilities, though Jared wasn’t about to give up. He charged up a second, stronger fire attack, but Kaito was just as quick. He used his white element magic to create a blinding light, throwing Jared off balance.
In an instant, Kaito moved behind Jared and tapped his shoulder. “Finished,” he said with a confident smile. “Now you know that status isn’t the same as strength.”
The students were left speechless, some of them realizing Kaito’s extraordinary skill. “He’s not an ordinary commoner after all,” one of the students whispered in admiration.
(A Conversation with Rena)
After his first successful training session, Kaito walked through the academy gardens and unexpectedly came across Rena, who was sitting alone, reading a book. When she noticed him, she smiled and waved. “Kaito! How was your first class?” she asked excitedly.
Kaito shrugged with a grin. “Challenging, but fun. A few students seemed doubtful, but… showing off a bit tends to calm things down.”
Rena chuckled softly. “You’re truly amazing, Kaito. I didn’t know you could fight like that.”
Kaito scratched his head, a bit embarrassed. “Ah, it’s nothing compared to… well, you know, the things I’ve seen in anime.”
Rena gazed at him with bright eyes, clearly impressed by his dedication to both protect her and teach in this world. But she didn’t realize that for Kaito, everything felt like part of a dream come true.
(Comedy Moment: Livia’s Annoyance)
Meanwhile, Livia, who had been observing Kaito’s interaction with Rena from a distance, felt annoyed. Watching them talk made her scowl. “Why does that commoner keep approaching Rena?” she muttered irritably.
A moment later, Livia approached them with an air of authority. “Kaito,” she said coldly, “you shouldn’t be wandering around here so freely. Remember your place.”
Kaito simply gave her a relaxed smile. “Ah, Princess Livia. I’m just taking a break after class. Besides, the garden’s big enough for all of us, right?”
Livia huffed in annoyance, but Rena quickly stepped in. “Please, Livia, calm down. Kaito’s just here to check on me.”
Livia frowned, obviously displeased. “I don’t like commoners getting too close to my friends.”
Kaito only shrugged, smiling to himself, finding every encounter with Livia to be a touch of comedy in his life here. Silently, he thought, “The princess really doesn’t understand that I’m only here to protect Rena.”
(Chapter’s End: Kaito’s Resolve)
As the day drew to a close, Kaito stood atop a small hill near the academy, looking out over the grand buildings before him. The cool evening breeze ruffled his hair as he held his adventurer’s medal tightly, a symbol of his strength.
“This is just the beginning,” he murmured to himself, determined to continue protecting Rena and prove that social status meant nothing in this world. “I’ll get stronger and make sure everyone acknowledges me.”
And so, Kaito’s first day as an instructor at Ilenia’s elite academy ended, full of challenges, laughter, and a newfound resolve that would fuel him for the days to come.
