Chapter 4:

Kaito’s Daily Life as a Teacher

I Accidentally Entered My Favorite Anime World

Kaito had spent a few weeks at the Ilenia Elite Academy, growing familiar with the students’ prideful attitudes and noble customs. Although many students looked down on him as a commoner, Kaito remained composed, remembering his purpose to teach and to protect Rena.
One morning in class, Kaito was explaining the basics of magic control to a group of students when his attention drifted. Prince Alex was approaching Rena, completely ignoring the class session. With his charming smile and striking looks, Alex gazed at Rena with unmistakable affection.
“Rena, are you doing well here? Need any help?” Alex asked in a gentle tone, his eyes soft as he looked at her.
Rena seemed a little flustered, but she politely smiled. “Oh, thank you, Prince Alex. I’m doing fine.”
However, for Kaito, watching from afar, the scene was irritating. Seeing Alex approach Rena like some knight in shining armor was just too much. “That smug prince and his perfect looks,” he thought.
Kaito started to walk toward them, but before he could reach them, Livia suddenly appeared. She looked displeased as she glanced at Rena standing beside Alex. With a condescending tone, Livia addressed Rena, “Do you really have no shame, commoner? How dare you get close to Prince Alex?”
Rena looked shocked and stepped back slightly, not daring to answer. Alex, who was caught in the middle, tried to intervene. “Livia, you don’t need to say that. Rena’s done nothing wrong.”
Livia scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Oh, Prince Alex, you’re too kind. A girl like this should know her place, instead of vying for attention.”
Kaito felt somewhat relieved by Livia’s interruption of Alex’s advances toward Rena. But Livia’s constant insults made his blood boil. Quickly, he approached them and decided to step in.
“Livia, there’s no need to challenge Rena here. I’m the one in charge of this class,” Kaito said firmly.
But Livia simply ignored him. “This isn’t your concern, Teacher Kaito. Rena needs to understand that she should stop trying to win Prince Alex’s favor.”
Kaito felt his patience wearing thin. Just as he was about to respond, Livia challenged Rena directly, saying, “If you think you deserve to be here, let’s prove it in the training grounds. Show me you’re worthy, commoner.”
Rena looked at Kaito with a panicked expression, silently asking him for help.
Kaito quickly replied, “There’s no need for Rena to prove herself to you, Livia. And this is not the time or place for duels.”
Livia smirked, determined to humiliate Rena in front of everyone. Kaito, losing his patience, decided to address Alex, who had stood idly by.
“Alex, don’t you see what’s happening here? Stop Livia before this gets out of hand,” Kaito said in a louder voice.
Alex looked flustered, seemingly unsure of what to do. He scratched his head awkwardly, looking helplessly between the two girls.
Kaito sighed in frustration. “Ugh, you’re such a useless prince,” he muttered, loud enough for Alex to hear. Alex’s face reddened slightly, but he knew Kaito was right.
Finally, Alex managed to say, “Livia, this is enough. Stop provoking Rena.”
But Livia, undeterred, stepped closer to Rena and grabbed her wrist. “If you’re not afraid, come and prove yourself,” she sneered.
Kaito quickly intervened, stepping between Livia and Rena. “That’s enough, Livia. If you have an issue, face me instead of Rena.”
Livia glared at him, her expression full of anger. “How dare you, commoner? You think you can stop me?”
Kaito only smiled faintly, meeting her gaze confidently. “Yes, I’m a commoner, but I’m also a teacher here. I won’t allow anyone to treat my students unfairly.”
Livia finally backed down, though her face was clearly displeased. Meanwhile, Rena looked at Kaito with gratitude for standing up for her.
As the tension began to fade, Kaito glanced over at Alex, who was still standing nearby. “Next time, take action before I have to step in,” he said pointedly.
Alex just sighed and gave an awkward smile. “Yeah, yeah, I’ll try,” he replied, looking sheepish as he glanced over at Livia, who still looked frustrated.

(Chapter Ending: Kaito’s New Resolve)

Kaito let out a deep breath. Today had been exhausting. He now realized that his mission at this academy wasn’t just about teaching or training the noble students but also about protecting Rena from those who saw her as inferior.
Although Alex and Livia were challenging in their own ways, Kaito couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. His days as a teacher at this academy would be filled with obstacles, but he was ready to face them one by one.
