Chapter 60:

Yoshi's date

Crimson Power Black Feather

Weird, he was clearly serious when he said that. But we have known each other only for around a month now, why would he assume? No, I don't think she likes me, that's nonsense. I wonder if she would say if she did... Uh, whatever, I think, Kinu must be the one really interested in me. She has been sending me all those messages all the time now for several days since we've met. I think she is the one who genuinely likes me.

Yoshi was circling in his room, waiting for time to pass. He didn't want to think too much about Sora now. He stopped to look at himself in the mirror once again, he was wearing casual clothes - unusual for him. He hated the cardigan, but what wouldn't you do you look good for a woman. He didn't contemplate too much as to why he wanted that, he just felt it. The clock soon approached ten, which meant he could go.

He appeared behind the tea place they had been meeting at. He entered carefully, and saw that she was already there, waiting. He hurried towards her waving awkwardly. She stood up confidently. Then she brushed though her hair with a hand.

"Yoshio-san, nice to see you again," she bowed slightly, "please, I have already ordered jasmine tea."

"Thank you so much! So nice of you, Kinu-san," he sat down.

"So, Adachi-san, how are you? I mean I know we talked not so long ago, but I wanted to ask you personally."

"I am good, and you?"

"Oh, I am well," she half-closed her eyes shyly, but somehow seductively too. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks, which made Yoshi flustered too, "Yoshio-san, I wondered... if you would like to come visit me next week? I will be free on Friday, off work, and I feel like it could be nice to well, you know, spend a whole day with you."

"I-I am unsure..." Yoshi's ears got red.

"Yoshio-san, " she moved closer, placing her hand on his, and looking deeply into his eyes, "don't worry so much. I feel that we have this connection, you and me, don't you agree? It feels like your soul is somewhat familiar with mine, I can't fully explain it... So I would love to spend time with you."

"I-I..." He moved away a bit, flustered even more. "I will walk with you, I am unsure about coming to your home..."

"We don't have to do anything improper," she lowered her voice, "if you don't want to."

Yoshi blinked. She looked very seductive like this, her innocent, white, and flowy attire didn't fit her attitude, he thought. He mumbled,

"I guess..."

"It's a deal then!" She clapped her hands happily and moved away. "I will pour the tea now that we agreed. Let's drink and share this tea in order to celebrate!" She raised a cup and handed it to Yoshi, then took hers and clunked them. "Kampai," she said quietly, looking deeply into his soul.

Yoshi followed as if in a trance, unable to react fast enough to all of these new developments. It seemed he agreed to come to her place after all. He glanced at her once again, her calm, very confident demeanor mesmerized him. Sora was the opposite - always unsure, unnecessarily apologizing, blabbering, and fluctuating self-esteem. Yet, she was so cool in his eyes. He felt like Sora was way more interesting.

He shook his head, this is not the time to be thinking about it.

"Everything alright?" Two black eyes looking at him.

"Mn, just some random thoughts."

"I understand. Yoshi-san, " She put her hand on his again, "With me, you need not worry. You are safe, I am open to listen if you need me to."

"Oh, no I was just thinking about one friend of mine."

"Really?" Kinu's interest peaked, "who is it? A woman?"

"Well, yes..." He felt embarrassed talking about it.

"Oh, Yoshio-san, don't worry, I am not the jealous type. You can think about all of your female friends. I just know there are no people like me anyway."

"I guess you are right..."

"I am right. Have you ever seen anyone like me? Probably not." She smiled charmingly. "So tell me, Yoshi-san, why did she pop into your head while you were here with me?"

"I am unsure...Just random thoughts I guess."

"I hope so, I want all your attention to myself."

"Y-yes. So maybe you can tell me more about what you do, or what you like? I feel like you were a bit secretive about it..."

"Oh," she took her hand back, suppressing her annoyance, "I guess it's only fair to tell you more about myself. I work in the field of dreams..."

"You mean sleep?"

"No, Yoshio-san, in the field of literal dreams. People dream about love, about money, about revenge, " she glanced at him, "I promise them they will have it all, or maybe not. Depending on the person."

"Are you a palm reader?" Yoshi raised an eyebrow.

"Correct. I do read the fortunes of others. Do you want me to read yours?" She said alluringly putting her hand out. "You can give me yours, and I will tell you what you want to know. Or, "she quickly his her hand behind her, "I won't, and I will do it on Friday! There is another reason for you to come. This is how you will learn more about your future."

"Em, okay. I don't think I've met many palm readers who were accurate, or not scammers. Which one are you?"

"Oh, you will have to wait and see! Let's see each other on Tuesday next time? I am a bit busy this week you see. Customers and all."

"Okay, as you wish."

"I shall go now, Yoshio-san. No need to return money for the tea. You can pay next time if you want to." She stood up, smiling.

Yoshi remained seated, confused. When he jumped up to bow goodbye she was already picking up her bag, ready to leave.

"No need to see me off, finish your tea, I insist, it's precious." She bowed and left in a hurry, leaving Yoshi there.
