Raceblazers

At the far reaches of this obstacle course that was in her front view, she noticed large rusty golden gears laid out throughout the place which spit out hot fire. Alongside that, tires were stacked atop of each other so high that they were as tall as skyscrapers. She could even see stadium lights shining a bright purple color.

Almost as if it was all intentionally designed that way for a more sinister reason.

There was no way to make a straight shot out of this trashy wasteland filled with garbage anyway. She was going to have to improvise to make it to the end.

And that was when she heard a dark droning growl cover the entire arena.

Crowds in the distance chanted the name of a huge bulky figure that had torn apart a Porsche if the shadows floating like a theater show were anything to go by.

Sounds of synthetic drums and electric guitars overpowered her monster truck’s engine as the humanoid stared in Chelbie’s direction. The only other thing visible beside that was the glowing white eyes.

This thing definitely wasn’t human.

The more closer she got to it, the louder the name chants also got…

“Skullspiker! Skullspiker! Skullspiker!” screamed the audience with enthusiastic clapping to match the beat.

As the smokescreen of gases cleared away a bit, Chelbie drove fiercely with her monster truck towards The Skullspiker as it became pretty obvious that she wasn’t going to let whatever this monstrosity was get in her way.

Upon getting nearer and nearer, she was finally able to see that this heavily dressed man was actually a sentient machine considering that each step it took made a whirring noise of sorts.

Its hairstyle consisted of a purple Mohawk that was filled with thick needles of steel. The skull face’s menacing eyes were also outlined with the same purplish color marked around it. This automaton also wore a large dark leather jacket with strips of decorated fire and a pair of three sharp spikes popping out on both of its shoulders. Wrapped around the torso were brown straps that had been held together with golden buckles to keep a strange black circular device intact that had a glowing red X in the middle.

Added along with the dark grey combat boots and pants which had striking white outlines on its pockets, there was a great danger to be had with it just standing there intensely.

But then, it started to run.

And it was no joke to see how quickly this machine was charging at her.

“Flamin’ firetrucks!” shouted Chelbie as she immediately resorted to pulling a flip with her truck.

Although this seemed like a good way to hit the bot unexpectedly, The Skullspiker had different plans in mind as it gripped the backend of the vehicle’s wheels with its white grip gloves and kicked it upside down with relative ease.

With the Flamethrottle Fury in ruins, The Skullspiker walked over to it as the audience went ballistic over its ability to catch even skilled racers off-guard.

Using its robotic hands without any hesitation, it ripped apart the center of the vehicle as The Skullspiker’s shadow loomed over her.

There was no turning back now for Chelbie to escape.
