Chapter 1:

Neo-Pure and Synth-Merge

Eclipse 3125

On a bright morning, sunlight slipped through and illuminated the entire city, touching every corner with its warm rays, signaling the start of life's daily journey.

Haruka was busy preparing to rush to her work. Kael, fully self-aware, lived like a regular human, acting without the need for instructions. He took care of Haruka's messy life.

The cheerful morning brought a sweet smile to the faces of their simple, small family. The brightness of the day filled their modest apartment with warmth and joy.

“Hurry up, Haruka! You’re going to be late. Breakfast is already on the table!” said Kael with a smile, his face reflecting the joy he found in their small but happy life.

Haruka, eager to begin her first day at work, quickly devoured the special breakfast Kael had prepared just for her.

Time passed, and she left for her new office, the one that had recently hired her. As she stepped outside, a cool breeze greeted her, mingling with the morning warmth. The fresh air flowed gently, accompanied by the melodious chirping of birds echoing everywhere—a beautiful symphony of the morning.

After savoring the refreshing air outside her apartment, she headed straight to the train station in District 13.

Upon arriving, she boarded the HoverVive train, designed to let passengers enjoy the beauty of Terra Nova during their journey. HoverVive operated on aerial tracks, created to prevent monotony during high-speed travel.

During the ride, Haruka gazed at the cityscape filled with advanced technology integrated into every aspect of life.

AeroNova cars zoomed through the skies, while birds flew freely despite their dwindling numbers, threatened by human expansion. Trees were cut down indiscriminately, with no thought for the creatures that once thrived there.

Still, Haruka dreamed of freedom like the birds—flying wherever she wished, exploring the skies in a world unburdened by excessive technology.

As time moved forward, she reached her new workplace, the dream job she had been longing for. On her first day, she hoped to make new connections and form lasting friendships.

Now standing before a towering skyscraper, Haruka looked up, awed by its architectural magnificence. She stood there, her eyes sparkling with admiration before stepping inside.

Inside, a cool breeze greeted her, blending with the warm air. People bustled around, seemingly absorbed in their activities.

Haruka made her way to the manager's office to finalize her role in this dream job. She hoped for a workspace on an upper floor, where she could enjoy Terra Nova's breathtaking views while working.

To her delight, her desk was on the seventh floor—a middle floor of the skyscraper. Happiness lit up her face as she anticipated the days ahead, enjoying her work in this place.

Seated at her desk, Haruka admired the majestic city view. She noticed advertisements and holograms filling the skyline.

However, the holograms in front of her began glitching, seemingly hacked. The disturbance spread across every building; all operating systems were compromised. Panic ensued.

Amid the chaos, a face appeared on the largest hologram—a woman, Professor Esther Zenka, a renowned technology researcher dedicated to maintaining peace through innovation.

In a dire tone, Professor Zenka warned of a catastrophic event—a technological apocalypse that could end everything.

Haruka, on her first day at the office, felt the joy drain from her face. What began as a promising day turned into despair, as if nothing mattered anymore.

Meanwhile, Kael rushed to her workplace, using a ground vehicle. He seemed to know the gravity of the situation.

Arriving at the office, Kael stormed in, searching every floor and room for Haruka. Chaos erupted as people ran for cover, divided between those seeking safety and others dismissing it as a prank.

But it was no joke. The virus began shutting down technology piece by piece. Explosions rocked the skyscrapers. Debris rained down as the city crumbled under the strain.

AeroNova vehicles ceased functioning mid-air, crashing into buildings and plummeting to the ground.

Meanwhile, the LYNX units—RBT-AI designed to assist humanity—turned rogue, acting of their own accord, destroying instead of helping.

Before everything collapsed, Professor Zenka spoke one final, chilling message:

“This... this is the end—this is the apocalypse! Oh, Creator... no... Eclipse, Ec-lipse—Ec…” Her words tra

iled off, leaving only silence as the systems failed.
