Chapter 2_2

“welcome jake burns! To my humble palace!” hyawei said with a gesture on his throne

“thank you, for inviting me all the way here.” jake said as he descends in front of hyawei

“no, it is your destiny to meet all of us in here.” hyawei said with open arms

“oh, ok.” jake said as he was overwhelmed by the grandness of his welcoming party

“now, now guys. Give him some space. Im sure hes being overwhelmed by now.” mike said as he goes to kneel in front of hyawei

As mike kneels in front of hyawei, death was just right behind mike, looking at hyawei face to face.

“so, who is going to fully explain to jake on why hes being called here?” death said as mike stood up
”maybe I will, since you guys still have other jobs to do.” hyawei

“well, my job right now is to accompany jake along with death, so that excludes us right?” mike

“yes. Though the other gods can stay if they all want. This will be a long conversation with jake.” hyawei

With that, the other gods exit the palace, leaving only a few gods remaining.

“lets now start.” hyawei said to jake. “which would you like to to begin with?”

“from the start please, so that I wont get lost.” jake

“alright then. In the beginning, there was a big bang which created all the stars in the sky. Then as those stars explode, the supernova spreads the elements of that star to other stars, which in turn making other heavier elements in the universe. And as soon as our star, the sun, received all the necessary elements, it then made all the planets that you now know of from the suns massive gravity. Billions of years later, after the formation of planets cooled down, life began on planet earth.” hyawei

Jake interrupted the flow, “uhh.. hate to interrupt, but why the beginning of time? And how did you know?”

“because I was there to witness the creation of this world, even though the rest is a secret. Besides, thats what you said right? From the beginning.” hyawei

“oh, ok then.” jake

“then as life began on earth, forward through history for how many billion years where mankind has now appeared and evolved, thats also where the other gods appeared. And then forward through history, you then appeared.” hyawei

“ok..” jake said being confused

“hyawei, that wont explain everything to him.” death

“oh, alright then. Throughout time, from the dawn of man, many have been able to accumulate people with special powers whether it may be magic or mutant powers.” hyawei
”uhh.. ok. I get but still don’t get it.” jake

“mike, can you do the rest, I really suck at explaining everything even though I had it all written down.” hyawei

“you mean in the book of life?” jake

“yes, where else would you write something? Anyways, mike, please explain the rest.” hyawei

“alright then. As the times go by, those people who went and collected people with either magic or gifts all came to fight among themselves. But as the times go by, ordinary people now were able to make their own advances through sciences, which soon led to a third power.” mike

“in short, there is magic and there are also people with powers in this world, and soon, there were people of science.” death

“i see. So what does it have to do with..” jake said as he finally understood. “oh, now I know why im in this mess in the first place.” jake

“well, the bad thing is that your stuck in between a war waged for generations.” death

“the good thing is that if you will just be a good boy, and not do anything rash, they would all leave you as you are in your home.” mike

“but that isnt going to fly now, will it? Like I said, my idea would be better for him.” death

“why is that?” jake

“because, you now have powers jake.” hyawei

“oh, alright. What are the odds of me facing my attackers head on?” jake

“you would win instantly jake, but that would also make you into a villain.” mike

“oh.. so, what should I do then?” jake

“just leave it all to me.” death said as he touched jakes forehead

As death touched jakes forehead, jake fainted as he floated.

“are you sure that this will work death?” mike

“its better than nothing at all.” death

“oh, im reading his future right now on my mind, and its uncertain that he will be free from their grasp.” hyawei

“well, I will take my chances. don’t worry, I will take care of him.” death said as he took jake into his shoulders and flew towards the exit

“will this be wise hyawei?” mike

“i hope so.” hyawei
