Chapter 2

This is jake burns again, now 28 years old, unemployed, and still working for my parents small convenience store. And i am here once again, early in the morning an at the rooftop, practicing my martial arts. Well, i only have a green belt in the past, though doesnt mean i cant incorporate the basics into my own style. And i also have practiced learning from anime, some martial arts concepts and some weapons basics just using arnis sticks. So, here is the rest of my story which i should not tell, and will unfold other than using my own words.

That night, when jake was asleep, he keeps on dreaming of the death gid and some clips of what seems to be a battle.

"Whoa!" Jake said as he suddenly wakes up

He was now in his room where daylight struck his face

Jake said to himself as he rubs his temple, "Again with the dream, i have been having these dreams in about 5 days now. Hahh.."

He then sets aside the thought and goes towards the rooftop again early in the morning, to train in martial arts and in some basic weapons practice, using his own style. Then at the afternoon, he received information of a certain event.

*cellphone ringing*

Emma, jakes mother, answered, "Hello joy"

Emma was at their small convenience store when the call was made.

"Hello mom, i think i need you right now." Joy said with tears

"Whats wrong dear? Is anything the matter?"

"Everything matters mom! I dont know what to do about this!"

"Please tell me what happened."

"I can hear them!"

"Who can you hear joy?"

"Voices inside my head! As if they are speaking to me! I dont know mom, im scared."

"Dont be afraid dear, just where are you now?"

"Im currently at my room mom, i dont know why but i can clearly hear them! Saying that im the virgin mary or something!"

"Dont worry dear, i will be there in cebu by tomorrow. Can you stay strong and sleep there for now?"

"I can try, though i dont know if i can hold on to my sanity if this--"

Emma cuts her off, "just go to your aunts place for now, ok? So that you can have company."

"Ok mom. I will go to our aunts place."

"Yes, please do. I will be there by tomorrow, and real quick. Please hang on before i get there, ok?"

"Ok mom." Joy said before they cut the line

"Mom, whats the matter?" Jake said as he just finished attending to a customer

Emma answered, "Jake, its your sister. Something has happened to her."

"What?! What happened?!" Jake said

"She said she can hear things in her mind, just like you did before."

"Damn it! Its them, and i know it."

"Jake, you really think that its what you really think it is? When the doctor said that you have a slight schizophremia?"

Jake answered, "Well, i cant say that im sure, but i can feel that i am." He said with confidence

"Anyways, i will get your father, please stay here and tend to the store while we get tickets to cebu. Got it?"

Jake answered, "Yes mom, i will."

Emma then goes upstairs to their house, where she wakes her husband, so that she can explain to him what happened and make him buy tickets to cebu.

Jacob, jakes father, said before they went out, "Jake, we are going to buy tickets for your mother alright? You stay here."

Jake answered, "yes dad, i will."

With that, his parents now go to buy tickets, where jake was left alone at the store for a while. As jake tends to the customers, all he could also do is keep all the rage inside. The rage when it happened to him and the rage of when its now happening to his sister, as he could not do anything about it other than stay at home. And even if he knew who might be behind all of this, and could never forgive them, there was absolutely no way for him to prove everything. Then when night fell down that day, emma went to the port where she goes towards cebu to get jakes sister, joy burns. On the next day, emma arrives at cebu to get joy back towards panaon via boat, but something went wrong and she goes a bit berserk at the port due to what the voices were saying. Then on the next few days, it was agreed to let her take examinations just like jake did, and found nothing out of the ordinary aside from the doctor claiming that its another mental illness like her brother. After that, on the weekend, jake and jacob also got into a boat so that they can get all her things from cebu.

One night, after that ordeal with his sister, he dreamt again of the same dream.

"Whoa!" Jake said as he suddenly wakes up early in the morning. "Not again." He also said while doing a facepalm

And again, he does his regular routine every morning, in anticipation for what might happen to him in the near future.

"Jake, you should really think about your future." Emma said after they had breakfast

Jake replied, "What do you mean mom?"

"Like getting a job, or continuing your studies, or something." Emma said

"Yeah bro, you should totally get a job right now." Joy said

Jake replied, "Yeah, i can do that. But can i now?"

"Yes you can." Emma said

"What about me mom?" Joy said

Emma answered, "Unfortunately, not yet. We are still in the process of assessing whether you are fit to work or not."

"I see." Joy said, feeling sad.

Jake said, "No worries joy, you may be able to work soon. You know what you have to do."

“yes, I know bro. Hahh.. I really envy you.” joy said

Emma said, “dont worry joy, just like what jake said, you can still go out and find yourself a job. Or why not, find an online job?”

“i agree with mom.” jake said

“oh, alright then, I will try.” joy said

With that, they end their breakfast with joy searching for an online job, and with jake making resumes at the same time. The next day, jake has gone to find a job.

"Bye mom, dad. Gonna find a job for now." Jake said

He was now by the door to their house, which their house is on top of their small family convenience store and surrounded by other houses.

"Bye jake, do be careful." Emma said

"If you feel like it coming back, please do come back." Jacob said

He then goes out where he just walks towards the city center, just to find a job, as panaon is just a province in mindanao. It was now morning where jake walks towards the city center, where he still felt a bit as if hes being watched, but he just ignored it as hes now used to it. Everywhere he heads, he always passes his resume at every IT company he could find that day. Then a helicopter passes by buildings as jake was walking..

"What? Why is a chopper flying so low?" Jake said

Jake was walking right besides one of the malls at the center of the city that time, when the helicopter suddenly disembarks about 6 soldiers down towards the busy street, where they then surround jake at gun point.

"Whoa! whats going on?" Jake

The surrounding people all ran away from what might become trouble, as the soldiers surrounds jake.

"Surrender now and we wont hurt you." The leader said

"But why?! I mean, i havent done anything--" jake

The leader cuts him off, "we are on orders to capture you alive, no matter what. Now lay yourself on the ground!"

"I have my rights you know! I wont lay down!" Jake

"This isnt the time to be--" the leader said

Jake cuts him off, "i want a lawyer right now!" He said while a bit shaking

"Whatever! Team, we got our orders. Subdue him!" The leader said

they then pinned him down to the ground.

"Sir, hes really strong!" Said one of the men who are pinning jake down

"Subdue him no matter what! Put all your strength to it!" The leader said

As they also pin his head down to the ground, with jakes folder on the ground as well right beside him, all he could do as he squirms was get really angry at the situation.

An unknown voice then says in his mind, "do you want power?"

"Yes." He replied in his mind as he is being tied by the soldiers

"What is your reason for it?" Said the unknown voice

"To be with my loved ones and to protect them!" Jake suddenly shouts

When his voice vibrated all around, as the skies were also about to rain, lightning struck them when the leader was also pushed away from the force of the lightning.

"What was that?!" The leader said as he stands up

When he saw jake, as he slowly rises up from the ground, his eyes were glowing along with an electric field surrounding him.

"You dare disturb his slumber" a voice, which is not jakes, said towards the leader

"M-my orders were just to capture him and bring him to the pentagon! I didnt know it would become like this! Please spare me!" The leader said as jake slowly walks towards him

The leader was on the road that time due to the lightning blast that struck, which also made him unable to hear for a while.

"Pentagon huh, so it really has begun." Said jake in an unknown voice

"Ha? What did you say?" The leader said as he tries to back away from jake

It was then that the leader grab hold of his M4 carbine lying on the road and pointed at jake.

"Dont ever come closer!" The leader said while pointing the gun

"Dont ever blame me for what happens to you." Jake said in an unknown voice before stricking lightning on the leader with his hand

"Freeze! Hands in the air!" Said the local police

The local police was shaking as they point their guns towards jake, with his glowing eyes.

"Sorry for this." Jake said in an unknown voice before he flew up

Right then, the local police opened fire upon jake, only for the bullets to be redirected thanks to the electromagnetic barrier, all before jake flew towards his house. When jake arrived and descends towards his house, there were also soldiers on standby which aimed their guns at him.

"Jake burns, come with us or else!" The leader of that team said as some of the soldiers aims their guns at jakes father, who was preventing the soldiers from opening the door

As jacob was at the door, emma and joy were at the kitchen and kneeling under the table.

"This is not jake burns your talking to." Jake said as he descends to the road

"Whatever you maybe, your still jake burns and your coming with us!" The leader said as he signals some of his men to get to jake

Then when his men slowly approached jake, where jake was still putting up his barrier, one of them pokes the barrier with their guns but got electricuted instead.

"Are you kidding me?!" Said one of the men

"Retreat now, or else i will spare absolutely no one." Jake said

"Who are you?" The leader said, still pointing their guns towards jake

"I am the bringer of balance in this world, i am death god." Jake said with confidence in an unknown voice

"Pfft! Death god? Are you kidding with me?" The leader said laughing a bit

"I said, retreat now and go back to your country, where you belong." Jake

"What if i say no? What would you do about it?" The leader said

"Sir, this isnt the time to be kidding, hes got some kind of power!" One of the men said

"No, hes just srrounded by an energy field, thats all. I dont know how thats possible though." The leader said

"B-but sir!--"

The leader cuts him off, "this has gone far too long, fire at him!"

With that order, the leader starts to fire at jake, before the others did the same,only to have the bullets redirect in all sides.

"Are you done?" Jake

"Tch! Your coming with us--" the leader said as he was about to walk towards jake

Jake cuts him off, "then its now my turn", as he struck lighting to all the soldiers with a wave of his hand

After that attack, jake fainted on the middle of the road, where jacob noticed this and rushes towards jake.

"Jake! Get a hold of yourself!" Jacob said only to hold no response

Then after a few times of calling him with no response, jacob drags jake by ghe shoulder back to the house where he was safe.

"Jake, now that the time is here, you should be ready for what is to come." Death

"Uhh.. where am i?" Jake

He was now at a place where white, grey, and red were all separated, where jake and death was standing at an entrance to some sort of cave right behind. He was even wearing his shirt and pants.

"You are now currently hanging on to life, again, thanks to what they have done to you." Death

"I see, so this place is heaven?" Jake

"Yes, and no. This place is the division between heaven, underworld, and hell, which all souls come and go." Death

"Uhh.. why am i doing here? Am i dead?" Jake

"Haha.. no, you have already visited here many times in the past." Death

"Uhh.. i didnt--" jake

"Oh, sorry. I forgot i erased your memories pertaining your arrivals in here, and specially the fight in between." Death said as he floats towards jake

"Whoa, now i think about it, you have no face! Which means that you may be death!" Jake said as he backs away slowly

"Yes, true." Death replied before he appeared behind jake. "Now stand still." He said before placing his finger on jakes forehead

With deaths finger at jakes forehead, death released the sealed memories within him, where he was always being placed at the verge of death many times during the times he always hear the voices in his head.

"Where am i?" Jake said as he scans the place

Jake was now revisiting his memories to a time when he firat came to visit the astral plane.

"Hmm.. i think i would need to search on where i am, or should i just go to the cave?" Jake said, with a very hard decision on his plate

Then an angel came descending towards him.

"Hi there jake, its really nice to see you at this time." Said the angel in armor

"Uhh, are you an angel? Or am i just dreaming?" Jake

"Yes, i am an angel, and my name is michael."

"Oh.. i see.. wait, michael as in saint michael?! This really means i died and am in heaven?!" Jake suddenly panicked

"No you arent, your just on the verge of death, which is why you are here." Michael

"What?!" Jake said being surprised

"Well, since you are here, might as well give you a tour, how about it?" Michael

"B-but am i really dead? I mean, im here. And only dead people can come here!" Jake

"True, though only a very few and selected people can visit this place. Anyways, you can call me mike if you want." Michael said as he gives a friendly shoulder to jake

"Uhh.. i think thats not the main problem here." Jake

"Dont worry about it, what could possibly go wrong? Your a pure untainted soul, which is why you could go here." Mike

"Hahh.. fine. Just a question though, saint michael." Jake

"Mike would do, what is it?" Mike

"If i decide to visit here, can i visit anytime i want?" Jake

"Its very difficult to decide and do that, specially when you have only one life." Mike

"Why is that?" Jake

"Because the next time you visit here, you might actually die in real life." Mike

"I see. Alright then, i will take up on your offer to tour heaven." Jake

"Its actually not just heaven that we will go." Mike said before he holds both his shoulders. "Please hang on."

"Whoa!" Jake said as they flew

When they flew, the caves behind them were like in a floating cliff, where mike takes him first to hell.

"Uhh.. mike, why are we here?" Jake

"Just letting you see what will happen to those souls which has sinned all too many." Mike

The scene in hell was like people suffering from many forms of torture.

"Whoa, will i be like this in the future?" Jake

"No, if you wont sin all too many that is." Mike said as jake understood

"Hey! This isnt a show anyone can just see you know!" A devil protested

"Oh, very sorry for that." Mike

"If you understand, then begone! Or else i will strike your wings out!" The devil said

They then got out of the way and towards further into the depths of hell

"Where are we going now?" Jake

"We are going to the demon throne room." Mike

"What?! Cant we just go somewhere else?" Jake

"I know your scared as hell, but trust me. This is just a one time gig only though." Mike

"Hahh.. alright then, i will trust you on this." Jake said gulping

After a few seconds, they both got to the demon throne room where the higher class devils reside.

“welcome oh great michael, what brings you here?” a devil said sarcasticly as he was drinking wine

“im just giving him a tour of the place, thats all.” mike

“so this is the new recruit, welcome boy.” another devil said

As they landed on the ground, the place was increadibly hot that jake sweated a lot.

“oh, sorry. Will just cool the place down a bit for the little guy.” another devil said as he lowers down the temperature a bit

“uhh.. is it really ok for me to be here?” jake

“a bit, as long as you don’t do anything rash or something.” mike

“hey, that hurts. We devils are very trust worthy you know.” a devil said smirking

“hahh.. anyways, we should be going now, we still have other things to do.” mike

“wait, you still havent let me see the boy yet.” the devil in the throne said

“oh, its you lucifer. What would you do with the boy once you meet with him?” mike said as he holds jake tightly

“nothing, there is nothing I can gain with just one boy. But let me introduce myself properly, I am lucifer, king of devils.” lucifer said holding out his hand for a handshake

“normally, one mustnt make deals with the devil.” mike said as he reaches his sword

“whoa.. you know what your doing is clearly rude towards devils.” lucifer said as other devils agrees

“hahh.. alright then, just one handshake from any of you, and thats it.” mike

“uhh.. can I also have a sword just in case?” jake said to mike

“haha! Thats also a rude thing to say boy, but I will forgive you this time. So come and lets shake hands.” lucifer

“can I really?” jake said to mike

“sure, just one handshake for each devil who wants to shake hands with you.” mike

“alright then, I will trust you.” jake said before he shook hands with lucifer

“hmm..” lucifer said as he uses both hands for the handshake, which concerned mike for a bit. “looks like you have been under quite the trouble boy, humans will always do what they always wanted to do.”

“yes, they truly are selfish creatures.” jake said while he cried

“enough lucifer, your turn is up.” mike interrupted while holding jake. “but humans also hold the most powerful power that they could ever wield, and you also know that.” he said to jake

“yes mike, I remember.” jake said smiling and wiping his tears

“oh, and don’t ever forget your promise to have him shake hands with all the devils here.” lucifer
”its now time for his other appointments im afraid.” mike

“so what? You want to start a fight? And im satan by the way.” said the devil with the wine as he also reaches out his hand towards jake

“so what?! I can take you--” mike

Jake cuts him off, “wait mike, I can do this, as long as I have my memories and my knowledge.”

“alright then jake, if you can take all the pain on, then I trust you can do this.” mike said as he lets go of him.

Jake then shakes hands with satan before shaking hands with other devils, as there were 5 higher demons in total.

“im beelzebub, pleased to meet you.” he said as he shook hands with jake

“im astaroth, pleased to meet you.” she said as she shook hands with jake

“and im lilith, pleased to meet you.” she said as she shook hands with jake

“alright, you all done now?” mike said as the devils agreed

“wait boy, I have one more thing to say.” lucifer

“what is it now?” mike

“would you agree for us devils to take care of all those humans who dare threaten you boy?” lucifer

Jake was in the middle where he was also far from mike that time.

“what nonsense are you talking about now lucifer?!” mike said before he was being held by all 4 devils

“would you make a deal with us jake? Wouldnt it be fair if we take care of your problems for you?” lucifer

“y-yes, that would be great. But..” jake said as he looks at mike

“dont just look at michael boy! Think for yourself! If you let them be, there is no telling what kind of damage they might do to your family!” lucifer shouted at jake

“s-sorry. But what exactly can you do if I agree to your deal?” jake

“oh, I can do many things if I try. Now, lets make a deal shall we?” lucifer said before reaching out a hand for a handshake. “whats it going to be?”
in that instant, as temptation rises in and mike was being shut up by all 4 higher demons, jake couldn’t resist slowly walking towards the hand.

“yes, thats it. You know what you must do.” lucifer said as jake was still slowly walking

But as jake was about to reach lucifers hand, deaths scythe came crashing towards in the middle, where jake snapped out of it and fell back. Where death himself broke the roof of the room.

“death, what is the matter with you?! im still about to make a deal with someone here!” lucifer

“whatever the deal may be, once it shall disturb the balance, I shall always prevent it.” death said as he pulled his scythe out of the ground

“tch! You got out of that one boy, but what will you be doing now that you didn’t take the deal?” lucifer said as he laid back to his throne once more

“i don’t really know.” jake

“i know you jake burns, the deal might be tempting, but you always find ways to deal with it yourself. Is that right jake?” death said as he reaches out his hand

“y-yes, I do.” jake said as he accepts the hand offering to help him stand up.

“not because of pride, but because I know the solution and the right thing to do.” death and jake said together

“now you 4, would you like a taste of my scythe or let michael go?” death said as he looks poses to fight against all 4 devils

“whoa, we arent that desperate enough to fight you.” satan said as the devils agree and lets mike go

“are you alright mike?” jake said as he went towards mike

“just alright my boy, and thanks for the save death god.” mike said to death

“now go, before I change my mind.” death said as he walks towards the exit

“we should also go jake.” mike said as he walks with jake towards the exit.

"The offer still stands boy, in the near future, you will need it." Lucifer said before the doors closed

And on the outside of the demon throne room, mike and jake flies towards the underworld.

"Do make sure to guide him well this time mike." Death said as he accompanies them

“yes, im very sorry about that.” mike

“this is the problem with leaving you in charge with the tour.” death

“there is no problem right? Since you came and all.” mike said with a smile

“hahh..” death said with a face palm. “you know, im still busy with my responsibilities.”

“yeah, I know. But I really couldn’t do this alone.” mike

“uhh.. guys, can I ask on why was I even given a tour in the first place?” jake

“its not yet time for you to know boy, its still too early.” death said as mike agrees
”I see. But if im chosen to do something, please do inform me. So that I can better prepare myself.” jake

“yes, we will. Though for now, we will let you tour all the parts of what you call the astral plane, so that you can decide for yourself.” mike

“decide on what?” jake

“decide on what your future is going to be.” death said as mike agrees

“we are here.” mike said as they arrived at the underworld. “this is the underworld, where all souls with light sins are being purified.”

“or being worked to the bone just to atone for their sins that is.” death

“whoa, you didn’t have to say it like that death.” mike

“was just telling the truth though, rather than anything else.” death

“wait, last time was the demons throne room, where are you going to head next?” jake

“haha, you’re a sharp one arent you.” mike

“we are going to the underworld palace, where you are to meet with hades and osiris.” death

“uhh.. is that also a good idea by the way?” jake

“yes it is. Unlike the devils.. well--” mike

Death cuts him off, “they are the same to me, though the only difference is that they have more respect than devils.”

“like I said, you didn’t have to say all that.” mike

“i cant help it, if im only saying the truth. But as the keeper of secrets as well, I know how to keep secrets and tell white lies if needed.” death

“i see.” jake said as they just arrived at the palace

The palace was like what you regularly see in a dracula movie, dark, has blue flames all over, and the only difference is that the only room present in the palace is just the throne room. When they flew towards the throne room, jake notices all the dead souls coming and going from the throne room.

“did you know, the throne room is always open for all souls and it never closes unless if they say so.” mike said to jake

“i see. So those are the souls of the dead coming to be judged, am I right?” jake

“yes, they certainly are.” death said to jake. “anyways, were now here at the throne room. Please present yourself properly.”

“yes sir.” jake said as they now descend slowly towards the throne

“welcome pitiful and yet brave soul, jake burns.” hades

“yes, welcome to our palace. We are the ones who manage this place, he is hades, and I am osiris.” osiris said introducing themselves

“thanks?” jake said with a question mark

“what was that for? We welcome you to our palace properly right? So you should be happy to see us.” hades

“yes, yes hades. We are really happy to see you.” death

“im not talking to you death, im talking to jake here.” hades

“enough with the fighting guys, thats what you always do when you meet each other.” mike

“haha.. yes, they always do that.” osiris

“anyways, how are you kid? Just fine I think?” hades said as he shrank and walks towards jake to reach out his hand for a handshake

“whoa, we always know that your handshakes are always with a deal hades.” mike said as he held onto jake
”no worries there, im not saying anything yet right? Unlike the devils, me and osiris cant resolve his problems.” hades said as he stops in front of jake

“alright then, but if you will pull anything out of the ordinary, I wont hesitate--” mike

Hades cuts him off, “yes, yes, I know.” he said as he brushes the statement off

“hello?” jake said with a question again as he shook hades hand, gulping and surprising mike

“haha! At least he has more guts than you michael!” osiris

“its warm, and kind of calm.” jake said feeling the sensation

“thats enough, I know you might also be draining his life force in the process, so you should stop it at there hades.” death said as he puts the edge of his scythe at hades hand

“right, right. I wont go any further.” hades said as he withdrew back to his throne

“but indeed, what a sorrowful fate you have to endure. And also being caught up in this war.” osiris

“what war?” jake
”thats enough visiting for now I guess, its time for him to visit heaven now.” mike said as he about face with jake

“i think the boy has many questions that he would also like answers michael.” osiris

“yes, we know. But I don’t think this would be the right time to be answering them.” death said as he waved them goodbye before they flew and left the palace.

“oh well, we might still get to see him soon.” hades said as osiris agrees

Just outside the underworld palace, all 3 of them flew now towards heaven.

“just why wont you let jake ask his questions with them?” mike said to death

“like what I said earlier, its still too early for him to know everything.” death

“and nothing has happened to him as well right?” mike said as death agrees

“the problem now is, how will the other gods take his arrival.” death

“now thats not a problem, since they are mostly good guys.” mike

“thats the problem actually..” death said as he rubs his temple

“since ignorance is bliss, is that right?” jake

“yes, though there are still things that most people are better left not knowing, for their own safety.” death said as mike agrees

“if thats the case, then why are you guys showing me around?” jake

“like what mike said, it will be up to you to decide what you should choose for your future. Our job right now will be to guide you around.” death

“well, heaven is our last stop anyways, where you will meet many gods along with their personalities.” mike said with a smile

“thats actually what im afraid of, they might convince our young fellow here to side with them.” death

“whats wrong with that? At least he will be siding with the gods.” mike

“hahh.. lets all just get there.” death said, ending their conversation when they still havent reached heaven

With the awkward silence hanging between them, and jake feeling that awkward silence, they finally arrived at heaven.

“and last stop of our tour, is heaven, where you will stay for the rest of the time.” mike

As they flew through heaven, there were quite a lot of angels around the ground and flying around. Where heaven is like all white, and even the buildings are also white.

“how about lets all just walk the rest of the way?” mike

“thats ok with me.” jake
”alright then, lets all walk.” death

They then descended towards the ground, where jake felt a little bit cold and windy around, before they walked around the place.

“first off, is the nearest place, which is the party room.” mike

“its heaven and yet there is a party room?” jake

“yes, its where baccus and aphrodite resides.” mike

“in short, its also sort of an entertainment for the gods and angels.” death said with a gesture

“i see.” jake said as they now enter the party room

As they enter the party room, it was a rainbow colored room where rainbow lights swing all over the walls, and a DJ was also present at the stage to make the music.

“welcome to the party room, its also not your first time being in a disco right jake? And you are also now of that age.” mike

“yes, true.” jake

“now, stay close to us if you don’t want to get washed away from the wave of angels dancing.” mike said offering his hand

“ok.” jake said holding his hand. “what about you death?”

Death was also clearly being avoided by the angels.

“i think we don’t need to ask jake.” mike

“anyways, where are we now headed to?” jake

“To both baccus and aphrodite.” death said as he leads the way

They then go towards baccus and aphrodite, where both of them were busy with their duties inside their own private rooms at the back of the stage.

“which room would you pick first jake?” mike

“hmm.. I think I would go for aphrodite first.” jake

“that would be fine as well.” death said as mike opens the door to aphrodites room

“oh my, welcome.” aphrodite said as she was sitting and looking at the mirror

The room was all pink where an angel was preparing some wine to serve.

“so this is the lonely boy that I have been hearing about from an angel.” aphrodite

“and what is death doing here? You will only scare off my angels.” aphrodite said with a gesture

“Well, sorry for being the death god, but im here only on business.” death

“now, now. Lets not go off fighting in here.” mike

“anyways, come here for a moment boy, let me see your face.” aphrodite said to jake

Jake then goes towards her, and she hugs him as if shes also feeling his loneliness.

“poor boy, you have been so lonely all your life.” aphrodite said as she sheds a tear

“yes, I have.” jake said also shedding tears

“But you also understand the love of your parents right? And you understand what it is for.” aphrodite said as she pats his hair

“yes, I understand. Which is why I must become strong, just for them.” jake

“good answer. Now, go to the other gods and say hi. Once you do that--” aphrodite

Death cuts her off, “ahem, you werent supposed to tell him everything yet.”
”don’t worry, im not. Besides, he has the right to know this much.” aphrodite

“hahh.. fine.” death said slouching

“anyways, after you say hi to the other gods, your job will now be to decide what your future may be. You already know the predicament that your facing right now right?” aphrodite

“yes, I have slight knowledge or knowing of my situation right now. That im being controlled by some evil men.” jake
”you certainly are. And on what you should do about it will now be up to you.” aphrodite

“and all of us will be behind you in your fight, depending on what you will decide after the tour.” death

“you got ahead of me there.” mike

“haha.. well, you better go now and meet the rest of the gods, so that you can reach your decision faster.” aphrodite said as she lets go of jake

“alright then. Though I have to ask, what is that mirror?” jake

“ah, this is a magic mirror which lets me see all of the outside world as I please. The other gods also have these in other parts of heaven.” aphrodite

“i see.” jake

“come on, lets go now jake.” mike said before jake walks towards them and aphrodite waves goodbye

Then outside the room, they then walked and headed towards baccus room, and entered it.

“welcome to my room ya all!” baccus said as he was also looking at the mirror at the wall

The room was filled with plant life, much like a greenery inside a room, where angels also tend to the plants.

“whoa, this is totally off the image I have about baccus.” jake

“well, yeah. He maybe the god of wine but hes also the god of agriculture and fertility.” mike

“anyways, do you have some words to say to jake baccus?” mike

“nope, not particularly. Though humankind should really treasure what they have, rather than pursue for things they cant even reach.” baccus

“i would agree to that, but thats the nature of curiousity of mankind.” death

“i know, but their curiousity just comes with a great cost.” baccus

“nevertheless, we all need them to be alive. I know your duties might influence you baccus, but they are a part of life as much as we are.” death
”if you yourself say so death, then so be it. Anyways, you all may go now, the boy has already heard a lot right? All that he needs.” baccus

“yes, I think so. But don’t you want to--” mike

Baccus cuts him off, “nope, as im easily influenced with my duties over the earth, I have nothing to say to any human. Even if that human is of pure heart.”

“alright baccus, we will be going now.” mike said before they go out of the room. “what might his problem be, right death?”

They were now walking towards the exit of the party room, where death could only respond to him when they were outside.

“as the foreseer of all plant life on earth, hes also deeply saddened by the state of the plants on how they have been taken care of. Though in any case, he also acts with pride as there is absolutely nothing that any human can offer him his trust.” death

“even if that may be a pure hearted boy.” mike

“well, my home doesnt quite have plants, so its maybe easily understandable.” jake said with a gesture

“it just means that your destiny is not with him.” mike

“anyways, where are we off to now?” death

“oh, so is this the one that you guys have been busy with?” loki said as he approaches them from the distance

“yes loki, and werent you suppose to be in the war room?” mike

“im just taking a break, thats all. Since its very tiring to just train day in and day out, even if we are immortal.” loki

“you mean its boring to just do everything day in and day out.” jake

“hi, im loki, the norse god of mischief. Its a pleasure to meet you jake burns.” lokie said as they shake hands

“well, I can completely relate to that. Which is why humans made many forms entertainment to evade boredom.” jake

“oh, you mean by me, being an otaku or something, isnt gonna happen. And by the way, your situation right now literally calls for some payback, don’t you agree?” loki

“yes, I do agree. Which is why I need to be strong when the time comes.” jake

“but when the time comes, you bet that you wont be of much use. Right mike?” loki

“im afraid, yes. With the age of guns, there is nothing a normal human could ever do.” mike said sadly

“so, what you say--?” loki

Death cuts him off, “whoa, no deals for now. He must decide everything by himself before he can make any.” he said as he points his scythe towards loki

“yes, yes. I get it. No need to be so kranky about it. So if you will excuse me now, I got something to do on the party room.” loki said as he exits himself

“i think that you would become good friends in the near future jake.” mike

“why?” jake

“because its in your nature, you just havent really got it out yet.” mike said with a smile

“anyways, should we head now to the war room?” death

“sure.” mike said as they now walk towards the war room.

The war room was further ahead, where they can see a room with a wooden door. When they opened the door, it was all bright red where the room is like a portal to a pocket dimension, to somewhere with a vast land and a colloseum like building.

“whoa..” jake could only see in awe with what has unfolded

“this is the war room jake, where angels train themselves day and and day out, so that they can protect heaven from the devils if they should ever invade heaven.” mike

“and mike here is one of the ones in charge of this area, aside from ares and thor.” death

“i see. And they are all inside the building right?” jake
”thats called a colloseum jake, and yes, they are there.” death

And when they were about to explain to jake about the colloseum, they all saw thor and ares come down from the skies.

“speaking of them, here they are.” mike said as thor and ares descends to the ground

“whew! That was a good work out. We should do a bout again sometime!” thor

“yes, we always do this whenever we feel bored.” ares

“hey ares! Thor! Jake burns is here to see you!” mike

“oh! Hes here now huh!” thor said as they flew towards jake

“glad to meet you jake, im thor.” thor said as they shake hands with jake

Jake interrupted, “yeah, I kinda know. Your thor, with the hammer and all. And your ares, with the sword.” he said as he shakes the hands of each

“he really knows us.” ares

“yeah, your both kind of very known to us humans.” jake

“anyways, can you show us your spar then?” mike

“whoa, I know that your one of the caretakers of this place, but--” ares

Mike cuts him off, “please, just one round.”

“why don’t you, ares and thor. Its just an exhibition to the boy, to show your prowess.” athena said as she and apedemek walks towards them

“we are done training the soldiers anyways, and its kinda boring if it was just us watching your match.” apedemek

“so your also here to visit apedemek?” thor

“who is apedemek mike?” jake

“he is the african lion warrior god of courage.” mike said to jake

“pleased to meet you jake burns, I can literally feel the burn within you.” apedemek said as they shook hands

“and I don’t have to introduce myself right? Athena, goddess of wisdom. I can literally see some wisdom within you jake, but not yet enough.” athena said as she also shook hands

“so, what you say thor and ares? Can you give the boy a show then?” mike

“hahh.. I don’t know.” ares

“its fine by me, though we just had a bout earlier.” thor

“gods don’t get tired right brother?” athena

“oh, alright then.” ares said reluctantly

“hmm.. this fight should also be interesting to watch.” apedemek said as they now walk towards the colloseum

Then in the arena inside the colloseum, where ares and thor were now ready, they had athena as referee and explaining the rules again to them. The warrior angels also sat on the audience seat.

“oh, your also here demeter.” mike said as they were now at the audience seats

“yes, was just relaxing here. Anyways, is this the boy?” demeter

“yes, he may be small and lonely boy for now, but don’t let looks deceive you.” apedemek said as they now took as seat

“it looks like athena is having trouble explaining the rules to a bunch of lug heads.” demeter

“haha, they are gods with strength, so they only know how to communicate with their fists and not with words.” mike

“true, which is why you were made head of the angel army, even though you are just a saint yourself michael.” apedemek

“its because of your valiance, justice, brains, and strength in battle that made you who you are michael. even though athena can be one, she intentionally steps down and agrees to just become one of the generals.” demeter

“i see. She is indeed wise.” jake
”why do you say that?” apedemek said as they looked at him

“since even I wouldnt agree yet to lead an army, as I am inexperienced with the new ways of leadership.” jake

“yes, cause your all lonely in your house, being ordinary like the rest of the humans.” demeter

“hahh! I give up explaining the rules to them!” athena said as she flies to the audience seats

“thats alright athena, they can both just start whenever they want.” demeter said as athena takes a seat

“come now jake, lets show some spirit and say the words!” mike said as they all watched him

“like, what should I say? And shouldnt athena do it?” jake

“do the honors boy, its all yours.” athena

“alright.” jake said as he stood and got down standing towards the last row of the audience seats. “ready!”

With that command, both thor and ares ready themselves in battle positions.

“set, and fight!” jake shouted

With the signal of the start of the fight announced, both thor and ares fought. First, they both did hand to hand combat before proceeding to weapons combat. With each swing of their weapon, they all could feel the rumble of the arena, and all the crowd goes wild. Meanwhile, jake watches intensely on each move being made, which makes his brain further analyze their moves and incorporate any move worthy of adding to his own.

“it looks like things are about heated up here.” thor said as they clashed

“yes, mind if I heat things up a notch?!” ares said as he blazes fire upon thor

With ares bringing out his flames, thor was able to dodge and back away momentarily

“hah! Lets do this then!” thor said as he launches a lightning strike upon ares using his hammer

With both of them bringing out their powers, and smiling upon the fight, the arena rumbles even more. At the same time, as jake was intensely watching the fight, the other warrior gods cant help but wonder upon jakes behavior.

“hes really intently watching the fight.” athena

“yes, as he is also a warrior at heart and soul, he can not really ignore the fight.” apedemek

“even we arent that hot in battle.” demeter

“you are too you know.” apedemek said as everyone else agrees

“no comment. But I wonder what jake is thinking right now while watching the fight.” demeter

“warriors don’t think when they fight, they mostly feel.” hachiman said as he just arrived

“hachiman! Glad to have you with us.” apedemek said with a fist bump

“who do you think is going to win this time?” mike

“it will still be the same as last time, a draw, thats always how it is.” hachiman

“what careful analysis from a warrior god like me.” apedemek

“anyways, shouldnt you get jake burns out of the front rows?” hachiman said to mike

“no, if he is going to survive on his own in the outside world, he needs to also remember all this.” death

“i see. And how come you, not a warrior god, is here death?” apedemek

“to watch over jake.” death
”whoa, do you mean that--” demeter

Death cuts her off, “im not yet certain, but I need someone at least.”

“oh, alright then.” demeter

“lets all just watch over him for now.” mike said with a smile

In that time, thor and ares both were out of breath from attacking, when thor made a long range attack by throwing his hammer and letting it fly sideways, all while thor also charges in at the front. But as thor launched the attack and almost landed a hit at ares, both of them were surprised that ares won for the first time with an incomplete strike at the stomach.

“whoa.. what happened?” thor said as they and the crowd surveyed what could have happened

When they looked at jake, thors hammer stopped at jake and for the first time, he wielded the hammer with eyes of fascination. As jake has now wielded the hammer, he then calls upon the lightning to cloak him with electricity all over his body.

“i think we have accidentally found a once in a lifetime--” ares

Thor cuts him off, “I know. Im even surprised as you are.”

“jake burns! Why don’t you come down here!” thor shouted at jake

“wait, what?! can I really?!” jake said as he eventually turns to mike for any confirmation

“go, we all will be here for you.” mike

“go and have fun boy.” death

“ok then.” jake said as he flies down towards the center of the arena

“so you now wield the power of thor huh, lets see when you are up against me.” ares

“slow down ares, I know your still a bit hot from our battle, but I just called him over to receive his first training.” thor

“wait, what?” ares said, with a let down expression. “hahh..”

“anyways, why don’t you try him up for size, maybe hes got a few moves up his sleeve?” thor

“sure, im not called the god of war for nothing. He wont beat me that easily.” ares said in his fighting stance

“do I really need to do this?” jake

“there might still be plenty of time, so just do it boy! I believe in you.” thor said as he flies towards the audience seats

“alright then. Here goes nothing.” jake said as he also goes to his regular karate fighting stance

“hahh.. I knew that you wouldnt take me on seriously. Boy, be serious for once.” ares

“promise you wont laugh?” jake

“promise. Now get your butt in gear!” ares said as he launches the first attack

Surprised, jake then took ares seriously in an instant, as his instincts tells him that he must do it. As ares had his swords tuck sheathed away at his back, jake then dodges the first attack to counter it. But as jake counters, ares was able to counter back, where jake dodges again. The process then goes on and on, where jake makes his body as nimble as possible against all of ares attacks and counter attacks.

“your good, but I think its time to take this one step further.” ares said as he steps away to unsheathe his swords

“i don’t know about this.” jake said as he was huffing

“man up dude! He comes my attack!” ares said as he launches the attack first again

And again, with the same process, jake launches a counter using his fist only to have it countered back and he has to dodge. Then after a while of attacking like this, ares finally landed a point strike on jakes neck.

“whoa.. I thought I was going to die.” jake said as they both withdrew from each other

“in the battlefield jake, there are no winners and losers. At the same time, you cant treat it as a game. So always strike like your life depended on it! Got it?!” ares

“yes sir!” jake

“good. And you still havent mastered your new found powers yet. Let your imagination guide you to using your powers.” ares

“yes sir.” jake

“now, lets take 2. this time, lets go all out.” ares said as he unleashes his fire on his swords. “learn to accept everything jake, and make it your own!”

“ok then..” jake said as he summons the lightning once more

“good. Now lets start!” ares said as he still launches the first attack

With ares launching the first attack, he plunges forward towards jake with his 2 burning swords. Meanwhile, jake flies to meet with ares head on. And as they were about to clash, jake disappeared, leaving the hammer to meet with ares up front while jake reappears at ares back launching a counter attack of lightning at both sides. then as the attack was about to land, ares made a wall of fire, confusing jake a bit and throws his sword towards jake. Jake dodges, and makes the hammer go back to him, only to have both jake and ares clash again with their weapons. But as the attack was bout to hit, deaths scythe landed in between them where they both had to stop.

“thats enough.” death said as he flies to get his scythe

“tch! It was only getting good.” ares

“whew.. thanks death.” jake

“its already time.” death said as he descends towards jake

“time for what?” jake

“time to go to the heavens palace where you will meet the other gods.” death

After that fight at the war room, now being accompanied with apedemek, thor, mike, and death, jake and company now heads towards the heavens palace.

“wow..” jakes only word upon seeing the heavens palace

They were now standing on a cliff or edge, where the heavens palace was like a castle being surrounded by water and nature, just like what you see in any fantasy movie.

“you havent seen the best of heaven yet.” mike said smiling

“though that is if he will turn out to become an angel in the future.” death

“enough talking and lets all go.” thor said as he flew in front of them

“can I ask on why thor and apedemek are here with us?” jake

“well, I have to report to my father on what happened with you jake! Im so proud of you!” thor

“as for me, I have seen much of a warrior in you. So on behalf of the other african gods, I may have to present you with a gift.” apedemek

“whoa there, slow down guys. Hes only here for other reasons.” mike

“but you let him wield mjolnir in front of me, and it was a success!” thor

“yes, I know. And now he is gifted with the powers of lightning.” mike said rubbing his temple. “this only complicates things even more.”

“there is no use in blaming yourself now mike, lets go to the palace now and let hyawei explain everything.” death

“uhh.. seriously? Hyawei as in the god of gods?!” jake

“yes. Come on, lets all now fly towards the heavens palace.” mike said as they all flew in front of him

“hahh.. can I really fly?” jake

“yes, you can fly now.” death

“what do you think you just did with my mjolnir anyways back at the war room? Lets go!” thor said with a gesture

“alright then.” jake said as he focuses on the flow of his powers

“now imagine yourself as the lightning, and fly!” thor

As thor said that, jake was now able to imagine himself flying as he feels the power inside of him, and was able to fly.

“now you just have to keep up with your concentration on your powers, so that you wont fall down.” thor

“ok.” jake said as he now flies towards the palace, along with the others.

They all then flew towards the heavens palace, where they were presented by many other gods and goddesses, and where muses all play their music.
