“hello?” jake answers his phone

“hello jake, this is dutuer speaking.”

“yes sir, what is it?”
”I know that this is a long distance call while you and your family might be spending time together there, but something major came up.”

“what kind of monster are we talking about now?”

“president mata called it an impundulu or the lightning bird. It was seen while some jet fighters went their rounds at air patrol, and shots them at the back with lightning, thus crashing their systems and forcing them to eject.”

“lightning bird huh.. Im on it. Though where was that lightning bird last seen?”

“according to american intelligence satellites, the lightning bird is probably headed straight for johannesburg, straight to your location.”

“i see. I just refueled myself with food, so im about ready to go.”

“good to know.” dutuer said before he cuts the line

“mom, dad, joy, I suddenly have a job.” jake

“where? And when?” jacob

“now, and at the skies of this city.” jake

“what? The monster is here?” joy

“nope, the monster is on its way here, So I have to fight again.” jake

“hahh.. there goes another one of your clothes. Good thing we have gone shopping for more.” emma

“yes, and I will be back.” jake said as he stood

With that, they stood up and went along with jake towards the rooftop, taking the elevator towards the roof. Where the skies of johannesburg is now lit with lightning all over.

“careful alright jake.” emma said as they agree

“you guys also be careful here, its really windy in this roof.” jake

“dont worry about us!” joy

“we will all wait for your return here.” jacob

“thanks guys. I will be back in maybe a few hours or so.” jake said before he flew up towards the lightning storm

“will he be alright mom? He said that the monster now would be a lightning bird.” joy

“probably. Lets all just believe in him.” emma sad as jacob agrees

There at the night sky, where a lightning storm just brewed, all they could see were traces of the fight between lightning based entities. There at the sky, jake dodged every attack being made by the lightning bird while his lightning attacks are also useless against it, which makes the fight on equal standing.

“hahh.. this is going nowhere fast.” jake said before he did another lightning punch towards the lightning bird with no effect. “I guess its time to go manual.”

With that said, jake got to close encounter with the bird and siphoned all its energy towards him, while jake dislocates the birds right wing with his kick. But as all this caused them to crash towards the ground, jake quickly grabs its dislocated right wing and made it crash towards the water. But right before the crash, jake flew jumped towards the birds forehead to get the power stone and flew away, before it crashed into the sea and drowning.

“whew! That was close.” jake said as he descends towards the rooftop of that hotel

“i knew you would make it!” joy

“aww.. your shirt..” emma said as she saw his shirt
”no worries dear, we always got spares for that, but nothing has a spare for our sons life.” jacob said with a smile

With that said, they then got back to their room.
