Chapter 4_2

"So this is the site." Josh said before descending down towards the jungle, to cover up his arrival

The site was a big waterfall where it is connected to a large lake and a small river. The waterfall itself was big and a bit powerful, with also a big lake. Josh then appeared to the site and out of the forest, following the small river.

"Whose there?" One of them said raising his gun

"Whoa! dont shoot." Josh said raising his hands

"Wow! Its josh mavric!" One of them identified josh and hurried to him

Soon, there was a gathering around josh were they all have questions about him.

"Wait just one moment guys, im only here to oversee the operations here and not for sight seeing." Josh said as he shake hands with some people

"Alright then, we will take you to our boss." One said as they make way for him

Josh and the leader of the men then got to the tent of the boss.

"Boss, we have a visitor." He said as he accompanied josh towards the boss table

"Oh! If it isnt josh mavric! What a surprise!" The boss said after talking with another visitor

"What a surprise indeed." Sheryl said as she saw josh

"What are you doing here miss sheryl?" Josh

"Im here on his request, to do a story of the century, as whay he said." Sheryl said pointing to the boss

"Hello josh, my name is justin rewind, australian billionair and adventurer. i think that you have already met sheryl gnome." The boss said as he points to sheryl and as he reach out to shake hands

"Yes, we have met." Josh said shaking his hand

"And im diego ferdinand, you can call me diego if you want." The leader of the men said as he also reached out to shake hands

"Hello diego, glad to meet you too." Josh

"Anyways, im here since you have piqued my interest josh." Justin

"How so?" Josh

"Because you said you can talk with ghosts, and now that you have, i have also found the entrance to what the ghosts spoke of!" Justin said being excited

"Yes, a hidden cave right behind the waterfall and beneath the lake." Diego

"We first sent a drone towards the hidden cave but it got crushed by the currents of the waterfall, so we are now heading there using scuba suits. And since your here, care to join us josh?" Justin

"Hmm.. my role is just to oversee the whole operation, so i think i may be able to accompany you guys as well, if thats what you--" josh

"Thats great! We can also bring him along right boss?" Diego

"Yes, thats my intention. First we will send a team, along with josh, towards the hidden cave. Then they will confirm if the city of gold is there, before everything else." Justin

"Whats part 2 of the plan?" Josh

"Part 2? Is get the treasure, thats all." Justin said with a gesture

"Hmm.. fine then, i will just be observing everything alright? I wont do anything at all." Josh

"If thats what you want, thats alright." Justin said with a gesture

"So, how will we distribute the riches?" Diego

"Of course, you guys will still have a cut for the treasure. As for josh, what do you want?" Justin

"For me, observing everything is just fine with me." Josh

"Whew, what a noble way of doing things." Sheryl

"Yes, i would agree. Though since it was also you who basically cheated in finding this treasure, i think im also going to give you a cut as well." Justin

"Really?" Josh said before thinking a bit. "Though if thats what you want, then i will agree to it as well."

"Alright then, the event will start in about 3 more minutes, you can go and loom around the other tents if you like." Justin

"Ok then, mind if i do." Josh said before going out of the tent along with diego

They then go around the tents to see the men, which were all local men as well.

"And this is Lucy lim, the archeologist hired by the boss to see the authenticity of the treasures." Diego said as they reached the last tent

Lucy was investigating the layout of the land as they arrived.

"Oh, hi there! Im lucy lim, in charge of archeology and histology of the items." Lucy said as she reached out for a hand shake

"Yes, im josh mavric--" josh said as he also shook her hand

"The josh mavric! Who pointed everything to here!" Diego enthusiatically said

"Oh.. so your the josh mavric. Im honored to also see you in person." Lucy

"Me too. Though are you also coming with the team, towards inside the cave?" Josh

"Im with the second wave actually. Once the team confirms the existence of the city, we will also catch up with you." Lucy

"I see." Josh

"Diego, its time." One of the men rushed and said to him

"Its time josh! We must go." Diego

"We?" Lucy

"Josh is part of team 1. You should come too miss lucy!" Diego

"Yes, dont mind if i do." Lucy said before they go towards the lake

"Oh, josh, you should also go change to some scuba wear if you like." Diego

Josh agrees and goes to the tent where team 1 is currently changing.

"Josh, are you there?" Sheryl said as she peeked at the tent. "Oh, your still changing."

Josh was now half in wearing his scuba suit, where his biceps and muscles was showing.

"No worries sheryl, whats up?" Josh

"Here is your body cam. Its built that its also waterproof." Sheryl said walking towards josh

"Thanks." Josh said as he checks his gear

Sheryl just gulped at the sight of josh as she hands over his bodycam.

"I-i should go now." Sheryl said walking away

One of the men who was also checking josh scuba gear just smiled, as he gets what is happening. Then after josh was finished changing, the team then went towards the lake.

"Good luck to you men!" Justin said as the team was now ready

As the team gave the ok sign, they then walked before they swam at the lake. And at the lake, the team swam towards the hidden cave right behind the waterfall. But as the waterfall was quite powerful, it also had washed away some of the team, thus killing about 2 of them when they went underwater before rising up behind the waterfall where the hidden cave is located. When they arrived inside the cave, it was inclining a bit towards the inside of the cave, so water wasnt present as they go in further. As they also left some scuba gear behind as it may be in the way of walking, they then walked further inside where it was also cold, and found an entrance where one of them accidentally slipped and feel on a cliff. As josh noticed that the air inside was ancient, he then surround his head with fresh air before breathing. Also, as they noticed the cliff, they then shone their flashlights ahead to find something sparkling at the distance. Josh signalled for them to go back and they agreed, so they then go back outside and towards the camp site, where it was now late afternoon. But as they surfaced from the lake, they saw that all the rest of the men was killed, all except lucy, sheryl, and justin which were all held hostage.

"Who are you and what have you done?" Josh shouted towards the thugs waiting at the camp

"What a surprise, its josh mavric! im simon domingo, one of the cartel in these parts, its so nice to see you in these parts of the jungle. By the way, why are you here?" Simon said after being surprised of his existence in that camp and with all their guns pointing at them

"You should leave, right now." Josh said as the team raises their hands except for him

"What are you doing? They have guns!" One of the team said

"Yes, you all should worry about me! I have my guns and you guys have nothing! Though im curious, just how did little old josh here capture all those people back in the philippines?" Simon said as he walks towards josh

"Oh, so you also watched that video." Josh

"Yes, you should say im a little fan of yours, you certainly have a large price of your head. Now hands up in the air." Simon said as he points his gun at josh at point blank range

"Ok then." Josh said before he used telekinisis on them all, making them float in the air

"S-so its true! You do have powers!" Simon said as he was trying to point his gun towards josh but to no avail

As the hostages were all accidentally let go by the thugs, josh then crushed all the guns in the area, where they were also surprised.

"Josh mavric, i will remember that name. What do you want? If its money, we have tons of it!" Simon said nervously

"No amount of money shall ever cost the amount of bloodshed that you have made." Josh said as he lets them go from the telekinisis.

As they all crashed to the ground, simon readies himself to punch josh, but was prevented by body control and almost hit josh.

"What did you just do?!" Simon said as he couldnt move

"Its a trade secret. Anyways, guys, please help me tie up all these men." Josh said towards the team which wasnt under his control

"Oh, yes! Gladly!" The team said as they tied up all the goons and simon up in a corner

"Whew! Thank you josh, for rescuing us." Justin said as they all agree

It was also after a while that they also finished tying simon and his men.

"I was also told that there has been some trouble in these parts lately, so i find these lug heads." Josh said pointing at simon and the others

"You wont get away with this josh mavric! I will notify the others about this! I swear i will!" Simon

"Thats what im counting on. Now sleep." Josh said as he used body control again to make them sleep

"Glad your on our side josh." Justin

"So, what do we do now?" Sheryl

"Its now getting late, so we should just report everything by tomorrow." Lucy

"But berore that, we must also bury the dead." Josh pointed to the others who carried the men

"Yes, we should do that." Justin said and everyone agrees

Later that night, when the others and justin were now sleeping, josh decided to take a bath when he saw both sheryl and lucy by the lake.

"Uhh.. excuse me, can i also join?" Josh said with a smile

"Kyaa! Pervert! Dont look at us!" The girls said as they hid in the water

"No need to panic girls, its only me and you here, so it wont hurt anyone else right?" Josh said as he undressed

"Dont you dare come here!" Sheryl

"Or else." Lucy

"Or else what? What can you really do? Anyways, i wont hurt any of you, i promise." Josh said as he dipped into the water

With him naked, the girls couldnt resist for them to not look

"You promise right?" Lucy

"Say, just how did you come here to the camp? Im thinking that your the one who led those men here!" Sheryl said as they got back slowly

"Take it easy girls, i wont harm you. And as for how i got here, its a trade secret." Josh said as he nears them

"Hmm.. is that really so?" Sheryl

"This isnt the time to ask random questions sheryl, hes now coming near us!" Lucy said as they both still walk backwards towards deeper waters

"Whoa, are you really that nervous? You girls are already beautiful as you are." Josh said as he stopped

"Thank you, but flattery wont get you anywhere." Lucy

"Anyways, why are you taking a bath at this hour josh?" Sheryl

"I just chose to take one at this hour, thats all. Nothing more, nothing less." Josh said as he scrubs himself

"You could have just waited for us to finish you know!" Lucy

"I know, but waiting for you guys would take forever, so its better for me to just bathe with you." Josh

"Hahh.. whatever. You just stay there alright!" Sheryl said as they are now getting tired of being in deep water

"Hahh.. its excrutiating to see you girls there, why dont you just come here and join me." Josh said as he used telekinisis to bring both of them towards him

"Now you have done it! You said you werent going to do anything to us!" Sheryl

"I only said i wont hurt any of you girls. Though its really saddening that you guys dont trust me that much." Josh

"We trust you, but this is just totally embarassing!" Lucy

"Embarrassing or not, we are already here arent we?" Josh said before he gave a hug to both of them. "So why dont we just wash each other."

"A-alright then." Lucy said as she was getting hot and responding to his hug

"Wh-what are you doing?" Sheryl said as she tries to resist the temptation

"Cant you see, im just hugging you girls?" Josh said before he lets go of them. "Your both beautiful."

"Thank you, no one has ever said that to me, specially when naked." Lucy

"Thank you, but your missing the point here. Hahh.." sheryl said before she hugs him. "Alright then, you mean no harm to us anyways."

In that instance, sheryl kissed josh, before lucy also kisses josh.

"Hey, im not--" josh

"Shut up and take our love and gratitude." Sheryl said as she shuts him up with her finger

With that, both girls made love with him during that night. In the morning, one of the men reported the whole event to the local authorities and made their arrest with the local cartel which was targetting passing adventurers.

3 days after that incident, sheryl goes back to work back in the US, while lucy stayed as she is the archeologist of the whole team.

"Hahh.. home sweet home." Josh

Josh was back at his home in tanghub where he just arrived.

"Hi ya! Glad you made it back." Jade

"Yes he did, hes the chosen one right?" Eva said with a smile

"Hahh.." josh said as they were joking a bit

"Anyways, glad your home son." James said with a smile

"So, how was your adventure ya?" Jade

"Just fine, though it wasnt all that of an adventure. I will just tell you guys about it later, right now, im starving." Josh

It was also lunch time when he arrived back at his home. Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, there was something going on at a military facility.

"General alex, glad to meet you sir." The head scientist said at area 57

They were now at a military research facility where it researches the unusual.

"Glad to meet you too dr gil, how is the project going?" Alex said as they enter the facility

"All patients are ready sir, but are you sure about this? This might make them go mad." Gil said while walking

"Yes, they are soldiers which were recruited directly for this purpose." Alex

“i mean, are you really sure about this? Since we tested the theory on mice and other animals and they exhibited enhanced brain activity, we have never tested it on humans before!” gil

“yes, your report was mostly geeky. but one thing struck us, and that is that most of the animals being tested has an increase in brain activity, so which is why we have approved the project for phase 2.” alex

“sure that josh mavric is an interesting person to observe with his many kinds of powers, but do we really need to make more people with such abilities?” gil

“yes, people like him is the new nuke of this era.” alex

“alright then.” gil said as they arrived at the monitor room

They were now at the monitor room where they saw about 7 patients being strapped into an operating table, about 5 men and 2 women.

“sir, we are ready to go.” one of the scientists said as gil agrees

“we are ready sir, are we to proceed then?” gil

“yes, you have my authorization. The responsibility will be on me.” alex

“chinese shamans ready.” one of the scientists said

“alright, have a go at it.” gil said, starting the operation on the patients

With the go signal issued, the patients was put to deep sleep by anesthesia, before the shaman starts with the ceremonies. The ceremony started with a chinese prayer before inserting some acqupuncture needles into the patients whole body, plus letting them inhale marijuana before inputting some low frequency hypnosis directly into the ear of the patient.

“we have been here for hours now dr gil, are there any changes yet?” alex

“no, not yet. It takes hours before the actual desired effect, though we just placed safe dosages for the patients.” gil

“hmm.. at this rate, it might be going nowhere fast. Increase the dosages.” alex

“what?! that might cause complications to the patients sir!” dr gil said as the scientists around the monitor room all surprised as well

“complications? What kind?” alex

“i don’t know sir. Like I said, this is our first test.” gil

“alright then, have a go at it. The responsibility will be on me.” alex

“a-alright then. Team, level 6 procedures now!” gil

“sir! This is inhumane! We cant--” one of them said

“shut up and just do your job.” gil said as he silenced that scientist

With that, the scientists increased the dosage of marijuana and increased the frequency of the soundwaves, which in turn also made the patients experience different experiences. Thus the patients all exhibited sweating and and glowing of of the eyes, before an explosion happened which rocked and destroyed the whole facility. And back at tanghub, it was now 6pm where the store is now peaceful and have less customers.

“dad, can I will just turn on the TV?” josh

Josh and his father was in the store while eva and jade were making dinner at the kitchen

“sure, your already bored arent you?” james said as he was sitting

“haha, yeah. With missions just all about military and nothing to take note on for now, and social media just all about everything else, there is nothing else that I can enjoy doing other than watching anime.” josh

“but we are in the store right now.” james

“yes, I know. Its no time to be watching anime when you don’t know when the next customer will appear. Anyways, lets watch the news now.” josh said as he turns the TV on

“oh yeah, is it time yet for the news?” james

“yes its already 6pm.” josh

After a while of watching local news, there was nothing that interests josh, until he heads to CNN channel

“we bring you a live report report from 6 different places where its affected heavily by some bad weather, live from those 6 places are some reporters. We bring you towards the mexican border for now.”

“hi, this is-- oh forget the names! Im now near the border and im now seeing some crazy growth of plants here! I even don’t know if I can pass from all these plants! They are seriously growing at a freaky rate!”

“now outside of los vegas, we are now reporting via satellite feed right now to bring you the image of las vegas without any electricity at all, aside from the regular electrical malfunctions going on!”

“here at oklahoma city where there is a very huge fire breaking down more or less, everywhere you see on the city! There is literally no end to the fires going down in here!”

“here at los angeles reporting from inside a very tall building where the city is literally flooded and drowned! A tsunami just hit the city minutes before this report and there are literally over many casualties already!”

“here at denver, we are literally seeing people fight against themselves! And some literally killing themselves! Police headed towards the whole crowd at the center of the city but ended up also fighting against others and themselves! We don’t know what is really happening here man!”

“here at austin texas, we are seeing not only one but many hurricanes happening all over austin right now! There are even reports from storm chasers in the area that they have seen a human figure in the sky while this is happening! Here is the video right now.” the reporter said before playing the video of a naked woman floating in the air

“what the hell?! the reports right now are saying that there are over 6 major storms right now! And we don’t even know the cause--”

“dad, I think I might need to go to the US now.” josh said as he face palms

“really? Now?” james

“yes. You saw the video right? Everything is not natural!” josh

“and so? America might be deserving of it somehow.” james

“dad, I know. They might deserve such things happening to them, but aside from the fact that its now my job to correct the balance, what if it gets to other countries? It might become a disaster!” josh

“ok, alright then. I really hate it when I send you off to some unknown land on your own, but are you sure your the only one who can fix this?” james

“yes, positive. Also, aside from the fact of the video in the last report, im positive that those are the elements at work!” josh said as he points at the TV

“what?! elements?” james

“yes, I don’t know why and what made them berserk in the first place, but I have to stop them!” josh said before he heads to the kitchen, which is beside the store

“we heard ya, hope you can do this by yourself.” jade

“no one else can do this aside from me, yet. Even the 3 of you arent a match for the elements!” josh said with a serious face as james stood up and walks towards the kitchen

“alright josh, you go get them! But please, whatever you do, make it back.” eva

“yes, you go get them hard!” james

“sure, will do mom, dad.” josh

“are you sure even I cant help ya?” jade

“you just healed jade, and aside from our parents needing the extra protection, you arent also a match for the elements.” josh

“but what if--” jade

“depending on what kind of command, you will inflict casualties as well!” josh said as he goes up to his room to change clothes

After a few minutes of changing, josh then said his goodbyes to his parents and sister, before flying towards the US. And before he flew, he also received calls but didn’t respond to it anyways. After flying towards the nearest mcdonalds to order some food and eat dinner, he brought up his compass, and he then flew a bit north east so that he can reach america in time. After a few hours of travel at below the speed of sound, he arrived at his first destination, los angeles. By the time he reached there, the whole city was drowning and always continually being hit by tsunamis. Josh then searched the area using his scan ability and found the water elemental by the biggest bridge around, which its host was a naked man. As josh tried to talk to it, he only gets responses by the elemental with hydro geysers all under him. As talks proved to be futile, he then flies towards the elemental for a hand to hand combat, but always rises up whenever he knocks the host down everytime. Facing his decisions, josh pinned down the elemental to try and separate the host from the soul but proved to be futile, and he just blasted away towards the water. At his last choice now, he used “electric control” to stun the host so that he can kill him. Without any words spouted from the host, all josh can do was pray to the gods for his safe passage, before going towards someone in any tall building to point him towards the next location. Next up, he flew towards las vegas where the whole city was all dark and without any electricity, and with dead people all around the city. So using his scan ability, he locates and flies towards the source of the disturbance which is now around the center of the city, aimlessly walking. Like before, he tried to reason with the host and separate the host from the elemental, but failed, so he just used close quarters combat in order to kill it. Next up was the closest, at the mexican border, where he spotted the host just walking straight and mindlessly, all while plants grow at a paranormal rate around the border itself. So he did the same pattern all over again with this elemental, only to just kill it still. Next was that he just goes straight, following the border towards a group of military personnel by the border, and asked him about the next stop which is in Austin, texas. By the time he got there, the devastation was incredible high as he flies towards the center of the city which was now devastated by hurricanes. As he nears the group of hurricanes, he then saw the host right at the middle, and did areal combat only to kill the female host. As the host seems like he couldn’t get through again, which is why josh just killed the host, as it was deemed that the host was already dead. Next up is oklahoma city where there were fires all over the city, and mostly along the highway which was easily predictable. Again, unlike all other hosts for elementals, he just killed the female host which was walking aimlessly and clad in flames. Next is denver, where he flew and found the source of the soul control, which was also just aimlessly walking down the highway and making everyone in a very wide radius fight and kill each other. Like the host of fire, he just killed the host directly, as he is almost out of energy.

“can I order 1 burger mac please and some fries with coke for take out?” josh was now at the counter of a mcdonalds store

“sure, would that be all?”

“hey sir, can I ask something? Have the disasters just ended?” josh said to a young couple behind who was also watching the news on social media

“no, it seems that there is a new one right now.”

“can I also see it?” josh said as the couple gladly let him see the news

The news now was that there is an attack on seattle, washington, wherea man who is floating naked is attacking the city and now going towards the white house.

“whoa, thats bad news bruh.”

“yes, bad news indeed.” josh said before looking back at the counter

“here you are sir, your burger mac set for take out, that will be $30 please.”

“hey, you look like a nice couple, im in a hurry so can you please pay for the food for me. Thanks!” josh said before a gust of wind came into the store

“what? Hes gone! We have a runaway!”

“can I pay for his meal? I think I saw that guy from somewhere.” the guy from young couple said

While on the way to seattle, josh ate his fill while slowly moving, and boosted himself after properly throwing his trash in a trashcan along the way. Now at seattle, he immediately found the host for the elemental which has destroyed the white house and the bunker along with it, bringing president tramp.

“hold it! why are you doing this?!” josh said towards the host as he figured that he might be sane

“why should I?” he said as he stopped

“who are you and why are you doing this?!” josh said as he floats in front of the host

“please, help me josh mavric!” tramp said as he holds on to dear life

“answer the question elemental! Why are you doing this?!” josh

“i cant sense or contact the others, did you kill them?”

“yes, I had no choice but to.”

“well then, you must also die!” the host said before he threw tramp towards the pond in the white house

Josh evaded the first fire attack to catch tramp and to bring him towards safe and dry ground before facing the elemental again. As the fight has no words to speak, the fight was all out and ongoing. Josh gave it his all in the fight, and he still couldn’t match as he was lacking some power.

“are you for real?!” josh said as he was able to push the host down for once and while breathing heavily

They were now at the center of the city where a lot of people are present.

“damn it!” josh cursed

“you look like you needed help there partner.” a voice said inside of him

“yes, im certainly in a pinch right now.” josh said as the host just twitched

“then use me partner, your now at your own limit, and you cant win this without using me.”

“alright then, I will use you partner, are you ready?” josh said as the host was slowly getting up

“yes, ready when you are partner!”

“king gilgamesh, I use thee! Bring victory and grandeur to me! Imperial control!” josh shouted

“as you command my lord!” all the souls inside him said

In that instance, josh eyes glowed as electricity, fire, and wind envelope him and his surroundings.

“bring it!” josh said as the host now stood and immediately attacks

Now releasing his limiter, josh was able to fight on equal terms with the elemental host, but with more than using the elements itself like using the invisible whip. The fight can not be said in just words for it was a fight that must only be seen first hand, as the battle of the elementals continue throughout the whole city. The battle lasted some 30 minutes before josh decided to just finish it up, by killing the host.

“why are you siding with them? Why do you do this o chosen one?” the host said after his lungs was stabbed by lightning

“nah, I don’t quite care what happens to others, but what im doing is just doing my job to the best of my abilities.” josh said with a gesture

“with what your doing, you can only bring more disaster. We were also doing our job as well.”

“well, you suck at it. Bringing balance to the world is a delicate process which involves so many stupid processes you know, there are never shortcuts to life.” josh said with a serious face

With that, the host for the elemental dies. After knowing this, josh immediately rushes out of the way to avoid the media.
