Prologue

On his cubicle, Rod Mason always hard at work over the phone where his job is with a call center company called TeleSave. Where his training was thorough and which he now knows every simple thing for his product. He has already helped many with successful results and is always present which makes him one of the model agents in the office. Though as good as he is, he was then transferred into the Emails section where he has to answer Emails on a night shift.

“Hey rod. Are you alright with the night shift and working on Emails? “

“I don’t know, since I have never tried Emails only before. But it might be a good experience so why not? Let me try.”

“Great! Let me adjust your schedule then as you will be transferred to another team that needs you.”

“Alright then. “

He then heads to his seat and doing his job. The week after, he was then transferred to the Emails section where he had trouble waking up answering Emails on a 11pm shift. There, he then drank more coffee than usual, as much as 3 times a day, along with some energy drinks along the way except Saturdays and Sundays. Though that ended on one day when he overheard some chatter on the station right behind him, when two leads had nothing to do and go on with their mouths chatting about anything. He can’t pick up everything but he overheard one of the leads say.

“Hey, did you know, that guy is gay.”

“who?”

“you know, him. Rod. Since..”

He had absolutely little sleep before his shift and he snapped, though he was able to control his rage while on his station and not listening anymore to any chatter though the chatter is a bit loud where he had no choice but to pick up. He can’t remember anymore of the chatter as he was in a silent rage. Though he vented his rage a bit with a lead and eventually cleared up the misunderstanding where it was just his delusion. From there, he thought of about what might have caused the break out and made sure it will not happen once more by reducing the amount of coffee he had taken. Since he had taken coffee, 3 times a day for 3 months. And since then, he had been on a healthy lifestyle. Little did he know that there was more to come for him one fateful day where he heard chatters again, this time, by everyone.

“did you hear? He is so dead. He is being hated by the big boss.”

“what? Is it true?”

“yes, I overheard from the leads that the big boss is considering something about him and that he hates him”

There were other chatter but all leads to the point that he was being hated and that his parents are calling the office if he was fine or not. As he also called his parents for comfort as due to the recent chatter of rumors, his parents then called every night to ask for his status.

“hello..oh!.. he is just fine though he is a bit stressed out.. “

Everyday, he hears about this chatter where everyone would chat about him, and would just turn or change the topic once he arrives near them. Everyday, he tries to resist by just ignoring though it was futile as he cannot evade the whispers of the people, like he can lock on to the sounds and hear as wide as the 2 meters. The chatters even also extend outside the office where the people would talk about him wherever he goes. He even always go to church where he asks for courage and help towards the situation at hand, where he cries and relays everything to God as God was the only one who listens to him. It was even said that the CEO had ties with the military which makes the situation even more harder to resolve as they want something out of him where he is to work to the bone for the company SignSign. He was even made an offer where he was to be made as the next CEO on the surface where he is still to meet the same fate.

“you know” while talking with his co-worker beside him “I will just ignore them and whatever comes my way, I will just deal with it personally.”

His co-worker just sat there and just listened to him when he said that. But as he sat there in his cubicle, he was also afraid of what might become to him in there he hears those chatters which later on developed where he is now being made as a wanted man for business obstruction and his parents pleaded to let him go and to do everything to help him. Where there was now a plan to extract him and his family in order to save them since the boss had pity on him. The CEO himself had made him a wanted criminal where they wanted him if it was the last thing they do. The plan was also to take place on the day before his birthday.

It was now the day before his birthday and he took a day off as per company protocol.Before he slept for the day, he still hears those chatters but this time, that the plan now took place.

Outside his boarding house.

“did you hear? His family is preparing for departure and everything is going smoothly”

“oh no! the CEO has noticed the plan and is on his way with his private army!”

“He has invaded the company and taken the boss. They even took his jewels while he was still awake!”

“He was even making his way to the airport! Now the company is in peril!”

“All the agents were being sent home by the vice president of TeleSave! Now she’s the only one there left to face them.“

“his parents were on their way to the airport but was ambushed by his army! Good thing TeleSave has hired mercenaries to counter the army! Now they are on their way to the airport where there is a private jet waiting for them!”

“his sister was even sent to a safehouse! They even almost got her as well!”

“oh no! they are here!”

“surrender him and we will not kill you!”

“he has done nothing wrong! No! we will not move from here!” they then formed a barricade around the boarding house.

“wow! Good thing the vice president sent a letter directly to the president of USA and to the Philippines! Now their armies joining together to fight the enemies!”

“what?!” there was then radio static “eagle forxtrot come in! we are under attack! Fall back!”

“tch! Fall back men!”

“yes! But wait! The private jet is being chased down by jet fighters and the jet suffered some casualties! They are even close to Washington!”

“now the secret service is on the line and defending the white house along those innocent civilians that has crash landed on the white house!”

“Ohama is on the pentagon now! But wait! There is a coup! By the nephew of the CEO which is also a general!”

“The secret service are now on their way as back up for the men guarding the president!“

“the president is being…”

This is where he slept for a bit. Then he woke up.

“yes! Thank god! The president is saved and the private army is being captured!”

“now the president will give a speech! Let us turn on the TV!”

“here on this wonderful day, there has been a devastating occurrence where it was so unpredictable, even I had little time to sort things out! Let us look at the monitors of the pentagon where they were monitoring him. Look at him as he is awake now! His brain is emitting such intense brainwaves! He is now standing up and going about his room. His brainwaves are a bit unstable though as passing from high and low.”

After getting some business done, he then headed straight for bed once more where he tries to control his brainwaves. He was able to control his brainwaves where it got very low and very high. After showing the people of his control, he then had slept. Even for a bit, he slept thoroughly then after a while..

“oh no! there had been a tsunami happening on the whole east coast! And only those sinners were being washed away by the waves! Even the earth shook as his brainwaves went straight very sky high!”

He then prayed to all of the Gods past and present to help him with the situation.

As chatter still continued outside.

“Gods of past and present, please help me with this situation! Even if you have to give away my gifts, I don’t want this to happen. “

He then felt something throughout his body where he was being stripped of something, but also felt that those gifts are very important to him. “No, I actually take it back. I will accept the gifts but please spare the people from any natural disaster!”

He then felt those gifts coming back to him. As he still hears the chatter outside, he then slowly goes to sleep once more.

Then on the next day, as he is to meet with his parents, he is still being haunted by the chatter which now leads to him also having headaches. The headaches were a bit painful as the chatter then said about a surgery to replace the brain (except the memories). The chatter then goes that the UN is watching and is monitoring the situation themselves, that they are to get him and his sister so to save them from the pain. The chatter of the people did not stop just there but still intrudes them in their private dinner in celebration of his birthday as the UN is now monitoring him.
