Chapter 1

200 years later, the solar system was now being colonized mostly by humans where there are also extra-terrestrials called lavalads, jellydols, and coolers living among them. And in the past, during the past chaos, rod mason and his family all went in hiding as they all changed their names so for history to remember them as well. And until the present day, his name is still being remembered throughout history as the pioneer and the innovator which had led everyone towards space and towards a new dawn of technology as well as a hero of old.

“hey jason, what would you guys want for the future?”

2 high school best friends were chatting in a classroom

“me? I want to be a hero like rod mason!” he said feeling confident

“for me, I want to be an astronaut. Its more realistic that way.”

“really? Like your father?”

“yes. and you? Why a hero?”

“I really admire heroes and all and hes the number one hero that stands out among all the rest.”

“I see. i hope you wont get hurt just because of this.”

“don’t worry chris, I will be alright. Though depending on the situation, I might need your help. Can I count on you then?”

“yes. you got it pal.”

With a touch of high five, their high school life was this a good one. But after a year later, jason was strapped in a stretcher, struggling, being conducted in an experiment where there was a small device emitting some kind of low frequency device. On the other stretcher was also a man who was meditating and he was in his 50s as they were inside a room being separated by a glass where scientists were also studying the outcome of the experiment.

“experiment 206 underway and subject A is struggling while subject B is asleep. Just what will happen to these guys in this experiment huh doctor?”

“I don’t know. But as this is a top secret government project, we aren’t allowed any privilege to talk back about this.”

“I see. sorry about this guys, since this is just our job.”

“you know, when you say that, im feeling awful. Even though its our job, this would only make us as monsters here.”

“doctor! There are signs of change in the brain!”

“let me see..” the doctor then saw changes in the brain. “stop the project right now!”

“no. lets continue with the project.” A general then came into the room

“what?! Are you crazy?!”

“no. but as the same as you, I have the job of supervising this project as well. This is the request of all the top dogs down there on earth.”

“sir! brain capacity is now entering threshold!”

“damn it! Aban—“

A gunshot was then heard and when they looked at the doctor, he was already dead and shot in the head

“continue with the project. I mean it. With this project, many lives will be saved as well as we might now discover the trick to immortality.”

Everyone else in the room just gulped at the situation as the situation is now getting even worse as the brain capacity of Jason was now getting even bigger as he struggled even more in his restraints. After a few minutes of observing in quietness, a quantum shockwave happened where it literally destroyed a space research center at space just right above earth. And some hours later, an Excalibur was sent to monitor and check on the situation.

“this is Charlie 1 to base, we have just arrived at the ruins of the space station.”

“good. Continue to monitor the situation in there and check if there are any survivors. If there is room, also pick up their bodies.”

“roger.”

Then after some time of monitoring the ruins, he then found one man being strapped in a stretcher floating around the ruins. After picking up the person and hauling into the Excalibur.

“Jason?!” chris as one of the cadets was able to recognize Jason

“you know this guy cadet?”

“yes. hes my best friend! I wonder why hes here.”

“whatever the case, we must get this guy to a hospital fast! Its really a miracle that he survived here in outer space!” the captain said as they all go wide eyed.

There was a white background all over the place as he was flying around when he saw a gate just right below him where a man with wings was calling on to him.

“hello there Jason, I have been asked to take care of you for now.” Said the man

The man was taller than him which was over maybe 7 feet tall and was carrying a spear. his face and his whole body was also covered in pure white while having a muscular body of a warrior.

“where am I? and my name is really Jason?” he asks with a blank face

“yes, you are Jason. And your now at the gates of heaven though that doesn’t matter right now. For now, come with me.”

They then walked towards the right.

“by the way, you can call me Michael.”

Jason was just hovering right beside Michael when they walked.

“okay. Where are we going?”

“just follow me and I will explain everything along the way.”

“okay.”

Jason was feeling at ease and that he could trust the man as they walked. Then an image appeared on the background where they were now flying just above the water in the middle of a group of islands.

“lady Athena and lord ares has entrusted me with training you for now.”

“training?”

“you will undergo a series of trainings. You still have your own knowledge right?”

“knowledge?”

“you still know stuff right?”

“maybe?”

“then let me ask you on what is this thing below us.” Michael pointed below to the water

“its water.”

“good. And this?” he now points upward

“the sky”

“good. Now what are those?” he points towards an island

“that is an island.”

“very good. It seems that your knowledge is still intact. Now do you remember your past?”

“im Jason. Im 26 by now and my parents are Jericho and Jaime.”

“do you remember your last name? how about more of your past?”

“my last name is wild and I cant remember anything else about my past. Aside from the time I read my own first science book and some other images that could be my childhood.”

“hmm.. it seems that you still have them.. though you might still be far but that’s fine as it is.”

“whats fine?”

“nothing. You will really become someone one day but until then, you will be in my care.”

“I see. So why am I here?”

“for training of course, but you will also eventually find out the reason one day. For now, lets focus on your training.”

“yes Michael.”

They then flew towards the sea where they stopped by as mike don’t know where to go in the vast oceans.

“by the way, you can also call me mike if you want.”

“okay, that sounds more better than michael. Where are we going now?”

“to gather everyone.”

There, he suddenly inhales air.

“hermes!!!” mike said as he shouts where Jason covers his ears

After a few minutes, the clouds gathered as intense winds came gushing from their backs while Jason holds on tight as the wind almost blew him out

“im here.” Hermes said as he appeared out of nowhere with a windy entrance

Hermes was a man with a gray colored body and slim like a healthy man in his teens.

“hello hermes. Can you guide us to where everyone is? I want to send a message.”

“I can send it for you if you want, im more faster and its my job.”

“I also want Jason here to also see how we do our jobs.”

Jason bowed to hermes

“oh yeah, he was due to come today and you were asked to be in charge of him for a while.”

“yes. Since I had nothing to do today as well. Humans are almost always going straight to hell.”

“which made their job even difficult. I really don’t want to say anything about their job but humanity is seriously getting worse as time passes.”

“nope. Lets not judge them for their nature, but judge them only for their wrong doings.”

“now that’s the gatekeeper for you.”

“hey mike, whats your job?” Jason

“it is to judge whether they are right for heaven or they would still need more cleansing.”

“in short Jason, his work is being a judge.” Hermes pointed out

“I see.”

“and that’s not all. Hes also the leader of all angels in heaven.” Hermes

“and your job?” Jason

“doesn’t this guy know me?” hermes

“his brain is still a little bit messed up. Anyways, let me introduce you to hermes, he is the god of the winds and merchants. He is also the messenger of the gods.” Mike

“oh.. wow. It’s a pleasure to be in the presence of a god.” Jason bows again in a gentleman way

“anyways, shall we get moving?” hermes

“sure. Please lead the way.” Mike

Hermes then led them deep into the ocean where they swam. And after a few minutes of swimming, they could see many lights floating in the distance when they saw a man dancing with the fishes. His image was like a man with a large beard with his whole body glowing with the blue colors.

“greetings Poseidon, you have a message from zeus saying that you guys should hang out again sometime.” Hermes said as he stopped near Poseidon as he was still dancing

“oh! Its time huh. I will just meet with him later and discuss what to do.” Poseidon

“great! Though I might not have to send that to zeus anymore. Mikes got a message.” Hermes

“what is it mike?” Poseidon

Mike then bows at Poseidon and Jason follows. “I was intending for all of us to gather up.”

“I see. So its also time for that huh. So who is the lucky soul?” Poseidon

“this is Jason wild, an innocent above all else.” Mike

“hmm.. he does seem like one. Did he pass through hell?” Poseidon

“no. he just came straight towards here.” Mike

“meaning he is one of those most innocent huh.” Hermes

“yes. Jason here is also as innocent as a baby. The first time in a while since we also had someone like him. the only thing though is that he is one of those whom was gifted with extreme imagination and many other things in life”

“he is that pure huh. It is definitely rare for someone like that in this century. Alright then, let us all hold the ceremonies right now!” Poseidon said smiling

“whoa.. hold on there, were all still not complete yet. Lets call on the others first.” Hermes said stopping Poseidon

“okay then. I will meet with you all later at the gates then. I still have other things to do.” Poseidon

All 3 of them agreed before they went off their separate ways. And after a few minutes of flying, they then arrived at a beach where there was many people all around in their bikinis and having fun all around with winds blowing towards the beach as they arrived.

"hey apollo! Aphrodite! Baccus! Where are you?!" hermes shouted towards the crowd from while hovering at the water

"i dont think we can ever find them in this crowd." mike with a questionable look

"dont worry mike, the wind will also tell me where they might be right now." hermes assured

Then after a while, they noticed a big wave from behind them where they saw Apollo and Aphrodite surfing on the waters together. After the big wave had past, they floated and walked on water towards them as hermes and mike descended on the surface of the water.

“hey hermes! What brings you to these parts?” Apollo

Apollo was a man glowing in yellow which had a body of a muscular man

“is it a message for me? Cause I just finished in these here parts where I saw Apollo.” Aphrodite

Aphrodite was an image of a sexy woman in her twenties which was as tall as Jason and has the color pink

“no. mike here has a message for you.” Hermes

“yes. Im here to announce of the ceremonies.” Mike said while looking at jason

“wow! It has been a while since we had someone pure.” Aphrodite

“because all we recently sent off are just infants right? Poor things.” Apollo said with sadness

“yes, I feel you Apollo. And now there is another pure soul who lays a victim to the evils of humans.” Aphrodite said with sadness as well while holding his hand

All 3 gods were now being saddened with this truth.

“s-so, where is baccus anyways?” mike said breaking off the ice

“maybe hes here somewhere.” Aphrodite said while wiping her tears

“you always know him right? When there is a party, hes always there.” Apollo pointed out

“okay, lets all search for him right now.” Hermes

“hold on. You might still want to search others so you can leave that task to us.” Apollo said with a thumbs up

“are you sure?” mike

“yes. We would be glad to help.” Aphrodite

“okay then.” Mike and hermes bowed for thanks

“were off now.” Hermes said along with mike and Jason waving

“yes. See you guys at the gates!” Apollo and Aphrodite waves as well

With that, they are off again as Apollo and Aphrodite searches for baccus. Then they go towards a volcano where they would notice hephestus.

“hello hephestus, we have come to deliver you a message.” Hermes said as they float on the molten surface inside the crater

Hephestus was busy with playing with the lava when they came, a figure of a slightly fat and muscular man with a beard and a hammer with a glowing red color. And in the corner, they also saw ares and Athena where they were watching him play with the fire. Ares was also with a muscular body covered in red color which was made ready for battle and Athena was with a body of a woman with a glowing sky blue color.

“were here too hermes.” Athena said after she got up with ares and walked towards them

“what seems to be the message then hermes?” hephestus said stopping his playing

“I have come for the ceremonies.” Mike said while gesturing towards Jason

“ah, I see.” Athena

“can I just skip this? Im always used to seeing people perish.” Ares said with a sad face looking away

“no. we must all attend this in hopes of a bright future for man.” Athena said as she grabbed ares shoulder

“alright. We will all go there later.” Hephestus

“alright then, we will go now so to send the rest of the invitations to the other gods.” Hermes

“hermes, your always in a hurry. But don’t worry, we will also send those invitations for you.” Athena

“really? Hermes

“yes. I was just finished playing here too.” Hephestus

“in short, we bored so let us help.” Ares said with a gesture

“hahh.. anyways, I see that he does possess a good soul while carrying the general knowledge of many things in his life.” Athena said while looking at Jason

“yes. He could also even help you with your work here Athena.” Mike

“if he so chooses it. Anyways, let us make haste as time is precious.” Athena

“yes, your right. Thanks for the help.” Hermes

They all bowed in thanks and went off their separate ways flying towards separate destinations. And after a few minutes, hermes, mike, and Jason has reached a small hill with a big tree in its center with leaves falling on the background as other trees also surrounds the small hill where 6 people were all having a small picnic.

“greetings there, how are you all?” hermes said as he nears them.

“we are doing great here. Would you like to join us?” zeus said as they were now beside them

Zeus was with a figure of a very muscular old man with a beard which had the color sky blue.

“please do join us dears, we all are having a great time watching the falling leaves in serenity with nature.” Hera

Hera was with a figure of a mature woman which had the color of light pink

“thank you, but we are here to deliver a message.” Hermes said facing mike

“I am inviting you for a gathering for the ceremonies.” Mike said gesturing to jason

“ah, thank you. Finally a way out of all this.” Loki said with a gesture

When they arrived, loki was feeling a bit bored at the moment as the rest of them was in mellow with nature. Loki was with a figure of a slightly muscular man in gray color which was still in his twenties holding a hermit staff

“don’t say that loki, you even agreed to come with us as you had nothing more to do for the day.” Odin

Odin was with a figure of a muscular old man, almost the same as zeus, which was glowing pale gray. Loki was then pouting at the side again.

“the ceremonies huh.. it has been a while.” Thor said thinking back

Thor was with a warrior figure just like mike but in a sky blue color with his hammer by his side

“yes, my sentiments as well. We all must go now.” Hercules

Hercules was also with a warrior figure but with a glowing brown color

“so, are we going now or what?” loki

“we shouldn’t delay the ceremonies even further.” Thor said feeling excited

“I agree. He might what we hope for.” Hercules said also feeling excited

“shush dears. It is not yet time for the ceremonies and you all are.. hahh..” hera said while massaging her eyebrows

“so how about it odin? Lets go now?” zeus

“I agree with loki and the others. We must not prolong the ceremonies.” Odin

“o-okay then. Now that’s decided, we will see you all at the gates.” Mike

“we will be on our way then, we still got many places to go and gods to invite.” Hermes

“why always the hurry hermes? Let us see this soul first.” Zeus said before he switched attention to Jason. “come, let us see you.”

Jason then slowly walks forward to meet with zeus. Hera stood up as well to touch his cheeks to feel his soul.

“a bit mature yet so pure, we haven’t seen this kind of soul in a while.” Hera said while looking at Jason

“yes. Even though his body was tainted, his soul remains pure.” Zeus

“hmm.. I do also sense something from him that could make us friends.” Loki said as he observes closely at Jason

“well then, we must all be on our way to the gates.” Odin said as he stood up

“b-but how about the others?” mike

“we will make do for now with just us. They are all still probably busy with their tasks after all.” Odin said gesturing for them to go

“o-okay then.” Mike said while scratching his head and with hermes gesturing “what the heck”

They then flew back towards the gates where everyone else was now waiting for them at the gates.

“we have come back.” Odin said before they all landed

“well then, let the ceremonies begin. It has been a while since out last one.” loki

“now jason, where would you pick to go now?” zeus said as he spread his arms

As zeus said those words, 2 paths then presented itself and before Jason where the gods stand in between the 2 paths. One path leads to the gates of heaven where it opened to a show a colorful whirlpool and the other leads to a road. As Jason had no words to comment for his situation, he was now deciding to go either one of the paths ahead.

“Jason, let me just give you a word of advice. Why choose the hard way when there is always the easy way right?” loki said pointing out

“hey!” hera said pinching at lokis ear. “lets not disturb them during this phase.”

“ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! O-okay I got it..” lokie said before she let go of him

“if you were to choose Jason, where would you go?” Hercules said as thor also stands before Jason

Jason really had a very hard time deciding where to go as in the first time of his life, based on his own memory, he was to choose something that would determine his fate. Then in a flash, he remembers everything that has happened to him in the past, regrets, good times, bad times, his like for science and technology, all the people that he has met so far, and though he had trouble remembering recent memories and now had a headache because of it, the gods all looked at him with worry.

“just like you said before Jason.. everyone always has a choice.” Thor said while touching jasons shoulder

Jason then looked at thor and the rest of the gods as he instinctively knew that there was he still have more to come in his life due to all his regrets, his knowledge, and a feeling of something that he must still do.

“i-is there a third option to this?” Jason then asks with a smile

The gods all looked at each other and laughed

“of course there is!” odin

“you have been walking all your life and gained all the knowledge and wisdom that you could. Now its time to decide how you want to go in your life.” Athena

Jason thought of every alternative that he could think of based on his knowledge, memories, and wisdom.

“please take your time Jason, we are all here for you when you will decide what you really want to do in life.” Mike

“t-then, how about I stay here?” Jason said with a question look

All the gods had different reactions where some nodded and some gestured otherwise.

“staying with us is good and all but you still have to decide which direction you want to take in life. You can work with us, play with us, and help us if you want.” Hercules

“really?” Jason

“yes. Take as long as you like in here but you must remember to choose your own path aside from this. This is primarily our job.” Zeus

“though you could help us, it would only be a little bit. Our jobs are the hardest ever, because we are gods. Which is why that you would need to decide.” Hera said while clinging to zeus arm

With that, Jason accepted with a nod

“let me be the first then.” Hephestus

“if no one here would like to volunteer to take him in, then you are free to let him help you.” Zeus

No one from all the gods wanted to take him in yet and just stayed silent

“really? No one?” odin

“to tell you the truth, I would have also liked to take him in, but you can go first.” Mike

“that’s really surprising. Why is that?” ares

“I also sense a warriors spirit in him, though it lacks conviction.” Mike

“I also sensed his enormous amount curiosity inside him but im sensing that its not yet time. Besides, he already has all the general knowledge that he needs.” Athena

“for me, I sense that we can be friends in a way. But I will lend him to you for now.” Loki

“hmm.. I guess that’s unanimous then.” Zeus said as he gestures hephestus to take Jason

“I will let him help me in my workshop as a blacksmith. Im also sensing his spirit for making stuff.” Hephestus

“alright then. Since he is the only soul working with us for now, we will all take turns in either training him or letting him work with us.” Zeus said as all the other gods agreed

After that, they all then went their separate ways. Hephestus and Jason both flew towards the workshop inside another volcano where it was very high above and very big. There, hephestus makes all kinds of stuff from weapons to innovations and each time he made something, Jason is always in wonder as he also worked hard on the workshop.

“hey Jason, as you have already worked hard with me, I will show you all my personal collection of all that I have made in life. Though majority of them are already what you knew.”

Jason then agrees with a smile and walks behind hephestus to a stairs just right on the other side of the lava pit. And while they walk down the stairs, hephestus introduced every of his inventions just lined up as the go down.

“and here are all my custom made weapons. You are free to look and touch it as you want.” Hephestus said as he gestures towards the weapons all lined up.

“o-okay.” Jason said with a smile

Rod then goes downwards while observing and slightly using every bit of weapons there was made when he stumbled upon a thin sword with just a simple handle. As there were still other weapons and many other things just down the stairs, he just couldn’t let his sights go from the sword as he feels that there was something that attracts him to the sword. Then as he held the sword that was just hanging on the wall, he then felt a tingle within his body as the sword imprints his own name on the blade.

“oh! Looks like it likes you Jason. i will let you keep this guy for now for your future missions, how about it?”

“I don’t know. But if you will let me keep it, then I will use it wisely.”

Hephestus then nodded. “that’s good. You will need it for your future missions with the other gods. Anyways, how about giving it a name?”

“a name?”

“yes. Since every of the weapons here doesn’t have any names as I made them. There was no need to name any of them since no one uses them for now. They all have their own weapons anyways.” Hephestus said with a gesture

“o-okay then. How about..” jason was then thinking very hard as he thinks of a name for the blade. After a few seconds of thinking, he suddenly thought of a name. “how about..” he then slowly unsheathe the sword from its scabbard. “electron.”

With that, the electron imprints its own name on the other edge of the blade as it emits electricity in its blade.

“I think it also likes the name.” hephestus said with a smile

“does it also have a soul?”

“some would believe that every weapon has a soul and some would not. But as the sword is now a part of you, you can say that its soul has fused with yours.”

“so I can call upon it as I want right?”

“yes, you can.”

“cool.”

“for now, I will let you keep it. Anyways, sheathe that sword now as we resume our tour.”

Jason sheathed the sword and carried it along with him along the whole tour. And while they also work, the electron is always at the side.

One day, there was an announcement from zeus and odin as they both suddenly had a bad feeling.

“hey mike, it has been a while since Jason has been with hephestus. When are you going to take him?” ares and mike was flying towards hephestus to call him in

“u-umm.. maybe sometime later. I was also busy keeping the peace between the devils and other souls.”

“I see. Once you take him in, let me know right away so that I can watch as you train him.”

“sure. Your welcome anytime.”

With that, they then arrived at the volcano where they saw Jason still helping hephestus

“hey hephestus! All of us have been called in for a meeting.” Ares said as they landed at the side of the volcano crater

“oh! Just a minute! Were almost finished with this one!” hephestus said as he noticed them

“okay.” Ares said as they both sat at the side of the crater

Ares then noticed a sword at the side and drew out its blade to see its owner.

“oh? What have we got here.” Ares

“what is it lord ares?” mike said as he flew towards ares

They were both surprised as Jason was able to earn a weapon from hephestus. Then after a while, hephestus was finished with his new weapon and walked towards ares.

“so you guys have noticed.” Hephestus smiled as he nears them

“yes. Its really surprising for a soul as pure as him to also earn himself a weapon of power. I hope that he can wield it wisely.” Mike

“I hope so too.” Hephestus

“anyways, we are all called over. So lets all get over to the gates where some of the gods are already waiting.” Ares said while mike handed over the electron back to Jason

“okay. Lets all go now.”

As the 3 of them was about to fly out, hephestus noticed Jason going back to the workshop.

“what are you doing Jason? you come as well.” Hespestus said gesturing for him to come

Jason then nodded and flies along with the 3 gods. After sometime of flying, they then arrived at the gates where all the gods are gathered. Zeus and odin was flying in front of the crowd so that everyone can see them as all the other gods murmured.

“silence everyone! Me and odin have a bad feeling for the future of mankind.” Zeus

The crowd then silenced

“we recently sensed an incoming danger to mankind and there is an incoming crisis to befall them as we checked with the flow of time.” Odin

“what kind of crisis are we talking about?” Apollo

“the kind where mankind will be wiped out one way or another.” Odin

“you all know how we all got our powers and how some came to be. So in light of this crisis, we have to do something.” Zeus

“so.. should we send another hero then?” loki said sarcasticly

“with mankind currently are, sending another hero would be kind of difficult by now.” Athena

“then, what should we do?” hephestus

“should we all interfere with them again just like the last time?” ares

“maybe not. Just like lady Athena said, with mankind as it is, interfering would be very difficult to determine the outcome.” Mike

“should we just wipe out a small portion of humans just like last time?” death god

Death god was with a figure of a cloaked man glowing in dark gray wielding a scythe

“probably not. They have already advanced far enough that some might be able to get away. We need a sure way to save those humans which must be saved.” Aphordite

“yes. As sinful as they may be now, we all need them and some of them are still worth saving.” Death god

“hmm.. during this day and age, the purity of mankind is still not worth for us to interfere.” Hades

Hades was with a figure of a muscular man glowing in dark blue.

“then our only option is to send out a hero.” Jason said to hephestus with a gesture

“ah! Hey guys! I have an idea!” hephestus calls upon all the gods. “how about sending our own Jason here?”

“what?!” loki

“yes, that could work. But the current him would still need a lot of work.” Mike

“and you all know about his situation right?” loki

“no matter. We can always assist him just this once while he is still this pure.” Zeus said as he flies towards Jason

“so Jason, what would be the answer to our question now?” zeus

“whats that?” Jason
“which path would you choose in your life?” hera said as after she got beside zeus

“hmm.. let me also think first.” Jason

“remember.. your family will also be greatly affected with this.” Odin said after flying beside zeus

“while they worry about you, here you are. They all worry greatly for you.” Hera

“hmm..” Jason had trouble remembering again as he was also feeling a bad feeling

“well then, how about this..” zeus then grabbed jasons sword. “odin, let us test his will.”

“yes, that would be best.” Odin

As all the other gods also agreed, Zeus then held the sword towards the skies.

“he who shall wield this sword be worthy of it, shall wield its power by their side.” All the gods chanted towards the sword

Thunder and lightning then struck the sword before zeus plunged it into the ground. And with this, Jason was afraid on what it could do

“now Jason, we have enchanted your sword where only you will wield it, but if only you are worthy of it.” Zeus then stepped aside and gestured to Jason to wield it

“are you guys really going with this? We could have just prevented any of this from happening.” Loki

“the incoming crisis will be bigger than they could ever handle loki, its time for them to take a step forward.” Odin

“besides, if they would be worthy of it, then you can always do what you do best right?” ares said giving him a shoulder

“tch. It only makes more work for me. It would have just been a bit easier without it.” Loki said pouting

“but we should also take some steps ourselves in choosing everything from now on.” Apollo

“yes, your right.” Hera

“so for now Jason, try to wield this power if you can.” Zeus said as he gestured Jason to pull the sword from the ground

“w-will I be okay from this?” Jason said trembling

“do not fear jason. It is now a part of you right?” hephestus said giving him a push

“just take it easy my child.” Hera

“it would also be that hes afraid of the future ahead.” Death god

As they examine Jason, he was certainly looking at the sword with fear

“o-okay then. If you say that I can do it, then I will. But don’t expect too much from me okay?” Jason said as he nears the sword which was emitting electricity

“yes, we wont. But you must always remember to be wise in your decisions. We wont always be there to help you you know.” Loki said after sighing

“with drawing that sword, you will, from now on, face many challenges in your life. Some will be very hard, some will be normal.” Zeus

“and with great power comes with a price, remember that. Your life from now on will be a bit unfair for any man to go through due to the difficulties that lie with either human or non human.” Odin

“yes. i will believe in you gods as you believe in me.” Jason then grabs the hilt but wasn’t able to pull it out yet

“your still hesitating my child.” Hera

“you must choose now on which path to go.” Death god

“you can also take your time with this, but due to your situation, you wont have an eternity to choose.” Aphrodite

“hahh.. okay then.” With that, the sword was able to move a bit. “I choose.. to be like those heroes in anime.”

The sword was then pulled up from the ground where thunder and lightning struck the sword.

“good! That’s the spirit boy!” hephestus

“he would now need some training for now so ares and mike, would you do the honors?” zeus

“yes, we will.” Mike said as he bows

“woohoo!! Its been a while since I trained someone. When do we start?” ares feeling excited

“with this, we will have another one who will play with us thor!” Hercules

“this is really great! I cant wait to spar with him as well.” Thor said as they made a high five

“that settles it then. Until he will be ready to leave, all of us shall train him.” odin

“what about work?” Apollo

“then we will just take him with us as well. He wont be a bother right?” Aphrodite said smiling

“as long as he works hard, that’s all that matters.” Hephestus said like a proud teacher and giving him a shoulder

“do remember alright? To never slow me down.” Loki pointed out

“oh? Your giving him the spartan treatment eh loki?” thor

“of course. Im the only one who does my job after all.” Loki

“well then, with that settled, lets all do our jobs.” Hera

All the other gods then dispersed and disappeared.

“hey mike, I will let him train with you guys for now. Its already been a while since he came with me so he might have learned a thing or two.” Hephestus

“okay then. Off to the training grounds with us mike! We got work to do!” ares

Jason just looked with an awkward laugh

“just don’t mind him. its been a while since he had work after all rather than riling other people up to get angry at others.” Athena said whispering to Jason

“its okay really. If you guys will believe in me, that’s all I need. Though I would also have preferred it not to be life threatening.” Jason looked at Athena with worried eyes

“do not worry my dear, we will all train you so that you might surpass those trials ahead. After all, life is all about trails is it not?” Athena

“o-okay then.” Jason

“you also don’t mind me watching him train right ares?” Athena said to ares

“suit yourself. Come one guys! lets go!” ares said before he went ahead

“hahh.. wait for us dummy.” Athena said as the rest follows after him

Jason was then trained with martial arts and weapons fighting as he also goes with them to battlefields where other people were also fighting. And also through those people fighting, he was able to analyze fighting patterns and picked up many kinds of weapons.

“hey hephestus! The kid has got something on his mind for you.” Ares said after they arrived back to hephestus workshop in the volcano

“really? What is it.” Hephestus said dropping his work for now

Hephestus was also experimenting with Athena with a particle accelerator.

“wow. You also do this kind of experiments here as well.” Jason said as they floated towards them

“yes. but only sometimes though.” Hephestus

“I also always keep my research materials in here.” Athena

“I see.” Jason

“so anyways, whats your request?” ares gave him a push

“t-this was when I was still training with ares and mike from many battles using many weapons. I hope that you could help or teach me with making them as well.” Jason said shyly

“great! I like it when a person is motivated to make something!” hephestus rejoiced

“that’s the spirit Jason! though im also worried about where this might be going so I will be next. There are no claims about that right?” Athena

“nope.” All of them agreed

“well then, I better get going for now.” Ares then waves them goodbye as he goes elsewhere

“shall we start then Jason?” Athena

Jason was then excited with learning new tricks and making weapons with hephestus.

“but first, we have to keep all this before we start.” Hephestus pointing at the particle accelerator

With that, Jason starts his lessons with hephestus and also being supervised by Athena herself.

After what seemed a long time of seeing the gods at work, playing and learning from them, Jason was then taken towards the 2 paths again.

“so Jason, since your decision is to continue with life, it means your taking the other path right?” Hercules said pointing towards the long path

“probably. I don’t know if that would be the right decision.” Jason said while carrying a big sword at his back

“don’t worry about that anymore. You do remember all our good times right?” loki

Jason nods

“then you have no worries at all. So if you ever find yourself in a tight spot always think of the ways on how to resolve the situation to the best of your abilities.” Loki

“remember Jason. that power is now your responsibility.” Odin

“yes, I will do you all good.” Jason said assuring

“you can now continue with your journey then.” Zeus said gesturing towards the other path

“always remember your time in here Jason, as it will serve you in the future.” Hera

“and god speed.” Mike

“and before you go Jason, we shall bestow upon you a mission and that is to try and protect as you can with those whom are good.” Odin

“and remember, the sword will always be with you.” hephestus

“yes, I will always in my heart.” Jason said before he walks towards the other path

“will he be alright zeus? I worry about that child. Since hes going to face many challenges that might be more than he could handle” hera said as she holds zeus arm

“don’t worry about it. Though we cant help him directly, we have provided him with enough knowledge and experience to last for a lifetime of his battles.” Zeus

“by the way, why aren’t the other gods here?” Hercules said as he could only count a few of them

“that’s because they all got other jobs to do which is why they are busy right now. They said only to send their regards to Jason as he will go in life.” Hermes

“Will he be alright then?” mike

“yes. let us all believe in him, our chosen one.” Odin said as they view Jason walking towards the distance

As Jason walks on the path, he then passed by a colorful path where it displayed his memories from the first time he first read his science book, his first love, his regrets, and every important memory in his life before reaching towards the light. There he just woke up in a hospital bed where his bed was dripping wet from his sweat.

“whoa.. w-was that a dream? Anyways, that was one long dream.” Jason said as he faces the ceiling feeling a bit dizzy

After a while, Jason then stood up to check the time when he remembered about everything that happened. By that time, he also did a nurse call where the doctors and nurses all rushed towards him just to look at him.He then recalls everything from his dream before it vanishes and immediately wrote it on a memo. And after writing all about his dream, he faces the mirror to also see his body change into a body with a warriors build.

“as I recall, my body wasn’t like this before.” He said to himself before he went back to his bed to sleep again where as instructed by the doctors.

Then after 3 days of more than a regular check up, there was nothing wrong with him at all and thus they were able to release him. also in that time, he found out that he ended up back in the Philippines, his home country where his parents also came to him. and in that time, he also now knew that he was being kidnapped by an unknown persons where he was also taken to a rocket and being flown towards outer space.There, he also relayed to them the entire story of his adventure where they were just glad that he was safe and all as well as with a memory from his time all about hypnotism.

“hey Jason, im going to show you some of my own tricks. And I think you might have already known about this.” Loki said as he let Jason accompany him in one of his travels

They were flying towards the Philippines in the past where they ended up in one tribe.

“where are we now?” Jason asks while they were flying

“just wait and see. I think you will also find this educational.” Loki said before they floated towards a hut

They then saw someone doing some witchcraft where there were one old man and a woman, the woman lying unconscious and the old man who was preparing a potion from crushing leaves. Jason saw that the person gave the other one lying down the potion and drawing all over her body as he enchants towards the womans ears while there were incense all around. The procedure lasted for hours that also included some massages and some poking all over her naked body until she was able to speak while lying unconscious.

“this is really one of my favorites actually. Aside from that hes operating on a woman of course.” Loki said with a smile as they peek on a window

“ah, I see. So what is going on now?” Jason

“the witch doctor is currently hypnotizing her to tell everything about her.” Loki

“why is that?”

“it’s the request of some sultan so that he can marry her and have some assurance about her.”

“oh. So its getting some dirt about her right?”

“you catch on quite fast. Yes, so that if she cheats on him, he can just blackmail her to either stay or do something else. But mainly, its to trick her into staying with him.”

“why is that? Shes just a woman right?”

“yes. the daughter of one of the sultans in his neighboring villages.”

“why would he go to such lengths just to get one girl? Is it what I think it is?”

“yes. its so that he could have more power. Anyways, you will also get what I said by the time you get back.”

“can I ask a question then loki?”

“what is it?”

“how to disable it.”

“its just simple.. there are about 3 ways to disable it…”

And there in his station, he just worked along the way as he listens to the rumors always spreading across the whole room. when he got back everytime from work, he would meditate and speak any codeword that would disable the hypnotism being casted upon him. it seriously took all of his concentration and mind energy just to disable his hypnotism overtime right before he sleeps for the day.

But as the rumors got worse by everyday, he then decides to quit the company and was now beginning to search for a new job. The companys rule state that he must submit a resignation 30 days before the date he will resign so he also had no choice but to wait. Everyday was the same hell that he always hears around him so he also distanced himself from the so called friends he made at work.

One day, the rumors got even much worse as he is now hearing it even outside the city, which was why that he just went absent all together so that he could concentrate with finding another job. And during his new free time, he would always be in his room either meditating, surfing the internet for new jobs, watching more anime, or sleeping. And among what he surfs in the internet are all the other knowledge that he could learn and on any news around the world.

Meanwhile inside the company, they have already posted everywhere to never let Jason wild in any company within the country for the reason of company disturbance.

“hi mom, how are you?”

Jason then contacts his mom one night, as he always have ever since getting his first job and living independently, and tells her about his situation.

“just fine. How about you?”

“fine too mom. You also already know I just quit work right? So im bored right now always being in my room.”

“how about searching for work? Have you tried that?”

“nope. But how can I even search for good work in this very large city when what I can depend on is only in the internet?”

“have you tried the newspapers?”

“yes I have and there are no openings for my line of work apparently.”

“so, how have you been feeling today? Still hear those rumors all around you?”

“yes, and I just ignored them while going to places.”

“right, that’s the spirit. But don’t ever forget that you will always have a place here alright. Whether you can get a job or not, this store will always be passed down to you by the time we retire.”

“yes, I know that mom. I have heard that many times now.”

“as a half, we have always been victims of other peoples stupid belief saying that we are rich and stuff. but anyways, you shouldn’t have excused yourself from work like that. You should have just waited until 30 days.”

“yeah, I could have. But after listening to my story, you still wouldn’t believe me right?”

“just how can we believe such a far fetch story when you don’t even have any evidence.”

“if your still not believing me, even for dad, I will still say that my decision was right.”

“but that is really not enough of a reason for you to be absent right? You got work to—“

“I know. And as long as you wont believe me, I will say that my decision is right.”

“we believe you but the story itself doesn’t all add up. So why would they want to target you of all people and--”

“I know. But from the sound of your own voice, it seems that you still wont believe me. Anyways, I got to hang up. I still have work to do.”

“work? What kind of—“

Jason then hangs up and shuts down his phone so that he could meditate. He then also remembered that the other 2 ways to disable hypnotism is either to cast a counter hypnotism to counter or overlap with some of the past commands or to ask the one who casted the hypnotism to dispel it for you. He smiled at the thought as there is no other way to disable hypnotism and that his own parents wouldn’t believe his own story.

After a few more days, he was seriously bored in his room and from no any responses from any companies that he applied on that he decided to go home. And while at home, he just always watch the news as he helps his parents in their medium sized convenience store at a local city in the province. At night, he just watches anime everytime and enjoys it very much.

“we bring you live from Mindanao news channel for a live report of a drug buy bust at the squatters area where there has been yet another one selling drugs. Here we are at the scene where police are now sorting through their stuff with a hundred thousand peso worth of drugs. P01 kevin malapang, what can you say about that?"

By the time that the show started, they were at the scene where they entered the house inside the squatters area to find the police listing all the objects and evidence of the crime scene.

"for now, we are currently listing the items that they have during the buy bust along with the drugs which is worth P100000 pesos. Were now also investigating where all the drugs came from as well."

"looks like another buy bust in the area. This country is getting worse." jaime wild, his mom said while watching tv as there was no customers yet.
