Chapter 3

“sir, when will we arrive in my station?” Jason said as he was riding a chopper towards his station

“just a bit more. Im just glad that we have more men joining us in this battle.”

“I see. Anyways, did the generals tell you anything about me?”

“only that you are just a temporary recruit for about 3 months.”

“I see. Okay then, thanks.”

After that, they arrived in their destination where Jason was then stationed inside the town of marawi. But then after some time when he was being stationed near the entrance of marawi city, an explosion was heard from the distance where they all became aware.

“what was that?!”

“commander! Shall we also go?”

“no. we stay here until further orders.”

Jason was also just sitting at the side as he polishes his MK-16 rifle. Then after a while, orders came in to launch into battle inside marawi city.

“we now have orders soldiers! Lets all suit up!” the commander said from a call in his terminal

“yes sir!”

With that, they now headed towards the battlefield where Jason suddenly vanishes from the scene

“soldiers! Take position!”

“yes sir!”

For a while, there was intense fire on both sides as marawi was under siege by terrorists, then came the reaper which was just regularly walking at the center of the road with just a military pants and without his own jacket.

“commander, should I stun everyone in the city?” Jason asked to the commander which was ducking beside him

“u-uhh.. please no..”

“alright then, you guys just stay there while I do my work.”

“hey, w-wait—“

Jason then walks towards the rain of bullets as he had an electromagnetic field around him with a full distance of a whole road. And in there, bullets all ricochet towards the floor around as the field also lifted the soldiers around where they all crashed towards any side of the field.

“commander, take them now while they are maybe unconscious.” Jason shouted as he still walked forwards

The commander was in shock when they all saw the reaper take on the whole terrorist army along the way. This continued up until the last site where the terrorists were all cornered in their last line of defense. By then, many other soldiers were now right behind the reaper whom just picked up the terrorist after they fell on the other side. And when they reached an intersection of another barangay, there was then a child who was in pain, covering his ears and as if his head was in pain and in the middle of the battlefield.

Jason noticed this and observed the situation for a while, but then the child released some kind of waves where the ground shook all over the place. It was then that Jason ran towards the child so that he can shield the child from any force that was disturbing him.

“hey kid! Look at me!” Jason said as he took off his mask for a while with his electrical field now going up in voltage, surrounding them in a dim light which others cant see them.

“y-yes.” the child said as Jason got his head when he almost collapsed

“calm down alright.. and breathe..”

“hahh..” the child took a deep breath

“now what is your name?”

“m-my name is tison.”

“okay tison. Tell me, do you like this town?”

“y-yes. I like it, but why is there many bad guys running around?”

“I don’t know. But don’t worry, I took care of them.”

“wow! And I was also searching for my parents, where are they?”

“I don’t know. How about lets search for them together.”

“sure!” the child smiled

“but first, you got to do something for me.”

“what is that?”

“you have to accept your own bad side and good side. Do you know your own personality and do you accept your own past tison?”

“hmm.. I think so, why?”

“because im going to teach you something so that you could handle those head aches of yours.”

“really? You can make those go away?”

“yes. but you need to accept yourself first, your entire self. Do you accept yourself for who you are?”

“I don’t know about that sir, because my parents has only given me little freedom.”

“I see. Me too. But you know what, let me tell you something. A hero’s path is never determined by the amount of trophies he gathers, but by the strength of their heart.” Jason said as he touched his chest

“really?”

“yes. you can just be a good boy and be open minded. Don’t worry tison, I might be able to teach you a thing or two. And so, did the headaches go away?”

“y-yes it did! Thank you!”

“your welcome. Now, lets all get out of here.”

With that, Jason and the child walked while he lifts his sword on top of the childs head so that he could catch something. He also wore his mask immediately.

“commander, you guys finish things up. I got a delivery to make.” Jason said with a glowing eyes

“yes sir! you can leave everything else to us!”

And there, he then walks with the child disengaging his force field in order to search for his parents. After a while inside a refugee camp, they finally met with his parents as Jason also said his goodbyes. And by the sight of the reaper, it was very frightening for all the refugees in the camp though they accepted the situation as he left the building and as the child was safely reunited with his family.

There, Jason returns stealthily to the outpost where he also left his own jacket and immediately ran towards the battlefield where the battle was already over.

“sir! im here reporting for a good days work!” Jason reports to general tuba in his office in manila

“good work. But can you also tell me what really happened out there?” tuba said on his seat

“yes I will, but only after I also meet with the president with this. I have to explain this to him as well.”

“he is currently busy right now so you can just tell me everything.”

“okay then. but promise you wont freak out?”

“yes.”

“alright then.”

Jason then spoke about what happened.

“what?! You were about to teach nirvana to a child?!”

“yes. though what bothers me most is what also happened during the quake. Sir, tell me the truth, just how did you find me?”

“this was supposed to be top class secret info but I can mostly share it with you.”

“thank you sir.”

“don’t thank me yet. Anyways, we found you through a tip from the pentagon.”

“like why is that? They should have been very busy with—“

“they accidentally spotted you in cebu going through every drug bust in town. They said they tried to control you but you were—“

“yes. their mind control wont work on my as im now almost like a lightning rod.”

“I thought so judging from your powers.”

“anyways, you must stop them immediately from doing this!” Jason slams on his desk

“don’t just slam on my desk, you will give me a heart attack!”

“sorry. Exaggeration.”

“anyway, why is it that I must stop them?”

“what im going to say right now is top secret information amongst the gods, though it can be shared, there is a fear when people will come to learn from it.”

“I see. So what is that?”

One time, when zeus and thor was helping practice Jason with his powers.

“hey zeus, how come my brain hasn’t been fried when I use the electron?” Jason said after practice

“ah, that weapon has a will of its own so it knows to protect its partner.”

“I see.”

“anyways, should we also tell him about the mind?” thor

Then athena came. “why not? Its time for him to know as it will serve a good purpose there.”

“though wont that just create some panic?” zeus

“yes. but I think that with him, he can handle it. Can you?” Athena

“I will try.” Jason said as he sat on the floor

“good. Now listen closely Jason.” Athena

“there are about 3 things that you could do with the mind. The mind link, mind transfer, and the body revive. The body revive is a technique where a single jolt on the brain itself would bring back the brain dead back to life, though it would just revert back like a baby while retaining its previous memories. Of course with its knowledge and skills being reset as it will now revert to an empty shell of what it once was. The mind transfer is a bit complicated to explain but to put things straight, it needs about 3 things. Both bodies must have the same age or have a small age gap, both must have the same IQ, and both must have the same mind wave lengths which is the most difficult thing to do. Of course this is transferring from one live body to a brain dead body. And lastly, the mind link which is what anyone would never prefer on doing any day. Also, if there are multiple minds connected to a dead body, the dead body might also absorb some of their mind energies thus reviving the dead body slowly.“

“The mind link can be achieved by either 1 way or 2 way connections both would transfer beta waves or mind energies into the other brain. Though the only thing to this is that with 2 way, its possible to copy from both habits and personality into each brain, and each brain would all share each others mind energies. The one way on the other hand is very dangerous as it not only lets, like lets say, brain 2 be able to copy brain 1 habits and personalities, but also slowly transfer all its mind energies into brain 2 thus letting brain 1 die later on. Of course this can also be done with animals, but both types of connections also has a risk that it might trigger an evolution. Though if those animals are just maybe below 10% brain capacity, it might just be able to copy from the habits and instincts of animals into a human brain. Also, when an animal or brain 1 would die, it is possible to transfer the mind energies of those towards brain 2 thus increasing the brain capacity of brain 2 at some point. And the success rate for this is only about 0.5% I think. And of course mind link wouldn’t work if they thing that they used is the mind of a live person so that they can transmit the signals to the other person. Oh and let me make this clear while I’m at it, there is no such thing as immortality.”

“wow! All this explanation is really something Athena. Though are you sure to teach this to me?” Jason

“yes. you are ready for it, I believe. Anyways, I better go now.” Athena then flies away

“u-umm.. may I ask why Athena was here?” Jason said to zeus

“maybe to check up on you. Anyways, you are her star pupil cause you learn fast.” Thor

“oh..uhmm.. okay. so do you guys also do those things?” Jason

“nope. Its too dangerous. The human mind can only take so much and a great sacrifice must be needed in order to do just that.” Zeus

“alright then. thank you for trusting me on this.” Jason

“no Jason. you are whom we chose, so you must know this for any future threats to come.” Zeus said as he holds jasons shoulder

“so guys, lets get back to practice shall we?” thor said with a smile

General tuba was in chock of this terrible piece of information.

“so that’s all about it that I know about this. So you guys should really stop them from using the mind link.” Jason

“b-but you haven’t said anything on what does this have to do with the child.”

“like I said, its because of the mind link that the child was being triggered with something in his mind. This almost caused a forced evolution of the child which will release a quantum burst, thus making some kind of natural disaster.”

“you serious about this?”

“yes, I am. This is why I would need to talk with the president about this.”

“I see. Anyways, good work out there and thank you for your service. And though your sentence was for 3 more months, its now decreased to none as you have just saved many lives out there.”

“so does this mean..” Jason said with wide eyes

“yes, your now free. But please do inform the police next time if you would like to fight crime.”

“okay then. but wont I have something like an ID or something?”

“yes, you will have. But for now, please stay in manila.”

“alright then. I will stay for a while but where would I live?”

“leave that to us.”

One night when Jason was still in manila, a drum barrel was afloat on the bay when it reached some shore, a bystandardpicked up the barrel and took a look at the contents.

“hoy totoy! Take a look at this!” the man said when he dragged the barrel to one of their homes

“kiko, what have you picked up now. and isn’t our garbage picking until tomorrow?”

“yes but I just saw this floating. Lets take a look.”

“hahh.. fine. I will go get a hard stick.”

When they were struggling to open the barrel, it suddenly opened to a man inside the barrel.

“whoa!! Whats this!” totoy said as he let go of the barrel

“he might still be alive.” Kiko said as he tries to get the man out

The 2 men now tried to get the man out and splashes water into him for a while. Then the man suddenly woke up but spouting some unclean water inside the building while his eyes was glowing black. The man then properly woke up from his sleep and was surprised to see mud all over the house along with 2 men at the sides all dead. The man then escaped and ran out of the house towards the road all covered in mud from the barrel.

“we have here a house in the bay of manila where its all covered in mud and with 2 dead persons. Here we have general tuba on the scene.”

“thank you. This case is what we call unnatural as the whole house was covered in mud without any sign of any machine going berserk or something. There are also about 2 dead bodies inside the house where they are also covered in mud. We don’t know why but we are currently investigating the matter at hand.”

“did you get all that Jason?” tuba said after he muted the TV

“yes sir. and my mission right now is to investigate the source of this?”

“yes. im glad you catch up quick. This event might be related to what your saying earlier.”

“hmm.. maybe. And did you already inform the president about this?”

“yes I have. Though it would be highly unbelievable about all that you have said.”

“it would be unbelievable, but you can believe it. That there is now a sign.”

“a sign of what?”

“a sign of an incoming crisis.”

“I see. Anyways, your mission now is to find and destroy this threat if necessary.”

“don’t you think destroy is a little bit overboard?”

“no. he has already killed 2 people disregarding rank and all. Who knows what other threats this thing might do upon others.”

“hahh.. and if I can bring him to our side? Would that do?”

“hmm.. only if you can actually. Anyways, go do your mission. I hope your successful in his subjugation.”

“im currently not a law enforcer.”

“I know. Which is why the police will be backing up your actions.”

“can I still hide my own identity?”

“maybe. Hiding your identity might be a hard idea there.”

“maybe, but as much as possible, I would like to conceal my own identity for the safety of my own family and all.”

“alright then. if you could then you can. If things get worse, we will handle it on our end.”

“thank you. I will now be going to my mission sir.”

“good luck.” Tuba said with a salute

There in the suburbs of manila where the man was now walking on the streets where everyone was watching him as he walked with mud in his wake. There, people would just ignore him as he walked by when he reached an eatery and tries to ask for food. Everytime he asks for food, he was ignored and being shooed away. But after a while, the man suddenly spat mud all over the store where everyone wasn’t able to get out in time.

“what happened here?” Jason said after arriving from the scene

“sir, I was able to witness a man who begged for money earlier when the man just spat mud!”

“I see. So what was this man like?”

“he was like an ordinary person but only covered in mud. He even always leaves tracks of mud on the floor when he walks and is very smelly too.”

“thank you very much maam. Now let us do our job from here on out.”

Jason then turned to the detectives for their analysis and it came out that there were about 6 people dead from suffocation.

“damn it. We really have to hurry and find this guy.”

Jason then followed the tracks where it lead to an alley way where the man was just sitting there, afraid.

“hey..umm..whats your name?” Jason said with covering his nose with his handkerchief

“u-umm.. can I have some food?”

“s-sure. Good thing I brought some with me. Here.”

Jason gives him some food and he ate but after a few seconds, he coughed mud again and was about to hit Jason when the electron showed up to shield him.

“this is really bad if electron had shown up.”

The man then stopped coughing.

“s-sorry.”

“whats your name?”

“n-name?”

“so you don’t know your name huh. How about Charlie?”

“c-charlie..” he said with a smile with his black teeth

Then some of the police got to the other side and was about to pull the trigger when the bullet changed course to the electron, thus attracting the bullet. Charlie was startled and suddenly spat mud towards them both. After the mud was cleared, Charlie has already gotten away, knocking the police officer down.

“damn it.”

Jason examined the place and also found that there were some mud in his shoes as well which he also found not only amounts of mud but also some crushed bits of plastics and many trash.

“whoa.. this almost looks like..”

For a while, Jason has been on the chase tracking charlies tracks all around the suburbs but couldn’t see him. then he found some end on the trail tracks of mud which follows some tire tracks.

“damn it. This has just become more complicated by the minute.”

There at a private mansion, a van stopped where the men inside the van threw Charlie outside while they inhaled fresh air.

“boss, we got him.”

“good.”

“what now boss?”

“its time for payback for what the reaper did to my brothers in arms. They all went down like twigs when he was in manila, so he has to pay.”

“where was he first been seen boss?”

“in a remote town. But finding his family would be troublesome. Since hes already here, why not we make the moves right?”

“yes boss, I believe your right.”

“hmm..im always right. So.. when does this smelly guy wake up?” the boss said as he kicked Charlie in the stomach

“I think hes awake now boss.”

There, Charlie slowly opened his eyes.

“w-where..” Charlie said exhausted

“your now in good hands. Though I cant stop the feeling I remember him from somewhere.”

“boss, what should we do with him?”

“throw him to the side until its time.”

“yes boss.”

With that, poor Charlie was thrown to the side of the garage where he just sat there, afraid and without any food to eat.

“sir, we might have some problem.” Jason said to tuba in his office

“yes, what is it?”

“I have both good news and bad news. which would you like—“

“lets go with the good news for now.”

“alright then. the good news, I figured out his powers.”

“he has powers like you? If so, what is it?”

“yes sir, and his powers I presume is pollution.”

“pollution? But isn’t that a bit of a dangerous power?”

“yes, its very dangerous. If he also gets a hold of a waste product from a nuclear power plant, I believe that I can only shield myself while battling against him.”

“is that the bad news?”

“nope. Worse. He has been kidnapped.”

“ayayay..” tuba said rubbing his eyebrows.

“so, what now sir? until another accident, I cant make any sudden moves.”

“yes. you stay on standby for now. until then, stay low and out of sight from the public, understand?”

“yes sir. and when will I be able to go home sir?”

“nope. I may still need you over here since were dealing now with an S class monster.”

“sir, I believe that this can still be re—“

“nope, this cant. By the time he will reek havoc to the city will be the time we put him down.”

“but sir—“

“no buts. This is a matter now of security. Unlike you, he has no control over his own powers am I right?”

“probably. I don’t know.”

“you don’t know?! Hahh..” tuba rubs his eyebrows again

“anyways sir, when will my ID be finished?”

“maybe just a little bit more time. You know the drill.”

“ah, yes. alright then. for now, I would just stroll around and—“

“no. you patrol the streets for any crimes and help the police capture criminals.”

“o-okay then. if that’s what you ask. Well then sir, I shall go take my patrols on the city.”

“and how do you suppose on doing that?”

“for starters, I will just patrol the mall that was being terrorized before.”

“alright then. go now and patrol the streets.”

“yes sir!” Jason said with a salute and has gone his way

In the mall, Jason walked throughout the morning and then gone to the city center where he just leaned outside a building.

*ring*

“hello mom.”

“hello dear.. I just heard all about you. Are you sure your alright in there?”

“yes mom, im just alright. Though the work is a bit stressful, I believe im helping people and doing my mission at the same time.”

“oh god, why have you chosen my own son.”

“mom, trust me, im just alright here.”

“I see. Should I also tell the rest of my family about your secret?”

“probably not. They would just freak out. Anyways, bye for now mom. I may have a job to do right now.”

“wai—“

Jason dropped the call from a bad feeling in the air. And in the direction to his right, there were people running away from something. Jason then walked towards the other direction and took a peek at the situation. He then saw Charlie running amok on the center of the street where there was also an overpass, spitting out mud and pollution all over the place while there were 2 body guards with their MK-16s pointing at poor Charlie as they also pointed out some instructions. There, at some dark corner, Jason then transforms into the reaper once more before going to Charlie.

“Charlie! Its me!” Jason said as he was now near him

“there you are reaper! I have been waiting for you!” the boss said right after he got out from the car that was parked right behind Charlie.

“who are you?”

“I should say who are you. Anyways, after all this, you will cease to exist.” The boss said with an evil smile

“lets get him you monster!” one of the men points the gun towards Jason while the other towards Charlie

Charlie saw this and was afraid for his own life, so he just spit mud at Jason. but Jason was able to shield himself with an electric force field.

“Charlie! Listen to me! Do you still remember me?! Im the one who gave you your name!”

“don’t listen to him monster! We welcomed you with open arms! And men, shoot him now!”

With that, the men then shoots at Jason but wasn’t able to make a dent as the bullets were all attracted to the sword. And as the boss and his men cant quite see the reaper due to the enormous spit that Charlie had done, Jason then shouts and calls on the thunder as he touched the sword to the ground thus stunning all of them to the ground.

“good work there Jason.” tuba said as he now sees the boss and his 2 men in prison

“where is Charlie right now?”

“hes just fine. Though we would need to fully restrain him so that no one would get hurt.”

“so Im guessing that you guys are about to do some experiments on him right?”

“not quite right but maybe yes. we need something so to reverse this kind of infection.”

“its not an infection sir, its an evolution.”

“whatever the case, he is now a monster!”

“so how about me then sir? would that make me also a monster?”

“well..umm..”

“hahh.. anyways, did you find anything of interest that might lead to why he has evolved?”

“we don’t know. All we could find out of the ordinary is just a barrel.”

“ah! Maybe.. just maybe.. he has been drugged before he was inserted in a barrel and thrown in the pier?”

“maybe. But why does this also lead to drugs?”

“according to an explanation with Athena, drugs would lead to a very small percentage of evolution to a regular human body. Though very small it is, and if the human can take the high concentrations of drugs and the psychological after effects, it might lead to an evolution.”

“what the hell are you saying?”

“meaning, he might be drugged before he was thrown into the ocean.”

“so.. what does this Athena say about any cures?”

“there is no cure. The only thing now is to maintain some control over him and his power. If only you would let me teach him about nirvana.”

“enough about nirvana, there must be a way for this to be cured!”

“you might think this would be like an epidemic but its not. Anyways, any attempt to even try to cure him might lead to his further evolution. Just be glad that he isn’t yet at the level where I need to kill him instead.”

“you should have just killed him instead of this if there was no cure at all.”

“because its still possible to change his powers given the right opportunity and learning and environment.”

“what? Why didn’t you say that earlier?”

“yes. but you first would need me to teach him about nirvana.”

“just enough about this nirvana thing. I need you here and that is final. Anyways, I will also inform the guys at the research center about what you also said and try to think of any other ways possible.”

“alright then, if you say so, but please heed my words to really be careful and never to genetically alter his DNA. He might evolve—“

“yes yes, I heard you. Hahh. Alright then, I will heed your words and relay it to them. Also, you are being called by the president so im going to escort you to the malacanang for now.”

“okay then.”

“im glad you came in early Jason.” richard said in his office while in a conference call.

It was now almost night time when they arrived and his office is still open

“sir, I have brought Jason here for you.” Tuba said with a salute

“good. Now bring in the others. They might also want to hear this.”

“yes sir.”

With that, tuba grabs his phone and got outside

“are you ready for an interview Jason?”

“interview for what?”

“for your first interview with the pentagon. They are asking on why they should really shut down the overwatch program.”

“o-oh.. I see.. okay then, though im also just a little bit nervous.”

“this isn’t like an interview on a TV show Jason.”

“I know. But just the thought of being questioned by a foreigner really makes me a bit shy. Im just glad its only with a small crowd.”

“what are you talking about? This will also be broadcasted throughout the world leaders.”

“really?”

“yes.”

“now im really nervous.”

“hahh..fine.. just take a deep breath and relax and you can just talk to them like your superiors or something. But just don’t mess things up alright. Im trusting you on this.”

“yes sir. for the sake of the future, this is necessary.”

“im glad your up for this.”

“sir, they will be here in about an hour.” Tuba said after his call

“good. Though the meeting will begin in about 30 minutes so if only they could just hurry up.”

“sorry sir. let me just call them again.” Tuba again has gone outside to call the generals again

“okay..lets all wait for the rest so Jason, kindly sit down in one of these chairs.” Richard said pointing to one of the chairs in his office

“yes sir.”

After 30 minutes, they began their meeting with or without the other generals and along with all the other world leaders where Jason explained to them again about the mind link and the rest of the mind somethings.

“so meaning that the overwatch program must be stopped? That’s absurd! Who do you think you are to—“

“with all due respect, I am the reaper. But you can also call me sage if you want.” Jason said while showing them a spark from his hand

There was now a camera which was pointed at the president where a big screen was also at the back of the camera. And there, the crowd also went silent and wide eyed as they saw Jasons hand spark.

“j-just what are you?”

“are you a cyborg or something?”

“nope. Im an evolved human or what you all say in the comics, a mutant.” Jason

Jason was about to form the mask when richard warned him

“you sit down now or just stay, whatever materials are in this office must stay as it is, understood.” Richard

“yes sir. I just want to show them but oh well.” Jason said with a gesture

“and what of this mind link, are there any side effects that we must be aware about?”

“yes. aside from the mind energies taken from the receiver to the recipient and vice versa, both will also experience blindness after a while of usage.” Jason

“really? And aside from that, on why should we stop the overwatch program.”

“you can continue it if you want, but not with the mind link thing. Anyways, there are 3 ways a human will evolve which is through drugs, through the mind link, and through the natural way.”

“there are 3 ways to be you?”

“wow! We could now make our own super soldiers!”

“nope, that is really not advisable. Because you might also have the opportunity of making a quantum burst which will literally make some kind of natural disaster.”

“what?! Why cant we just make someone like you?!”

“like I said, I have been chosen by the gods to represent them and to manage the situation at hand. Though it is also like what I just said, to minus the mind link.”

“then how would we help our people on the ground if we cant—“

“nevermind that! Tell us then on how to make super soldiers like you!”

“no. making someone like me would seriously endanger the whole planet.” Jason

“why? We are only little compared to the whole world.”

“yes. but do you want a black hole to form at your won back yard?”

No one answered the question.

“yes, its that dangerous. Depending on the person, the whole planet would be in danger.” Jason

“I-I see. Anyways, just who the hell did this to you?”

“I don’t know, but im sure that I was being kidnapped back then and being done with experiments. Im just glad I survived.”

“hmm.. this might look like the work of a secret organization, though any organization should have to pass through the government for any experiments conducted in outer space.”

“your story was even on the news right?”

“I don’t know.” Jason

“yes, it was. But we decided to take it out due to its classified content. As we dont have enough information on how and why it happened, we cant make any careless actions."richard

"i see. Anyways, as quantum bursts would occur whenever you do a mind link overtime with a person, specially if the person linking suddenly dies or accidentally sleeps and dies, i would hope you guys would prevent this from ever happening."jason

"yes, that would be best. Though we just cant abandon the program, so what do you say that we do?"

"how about we can just watch over and report like before?"

"eh? But thats a load of pain."

"as zeus said one time, there are no shortcuts in life. Please do consider your own actions with this. And if there are any shortcuts, there would be a price to pay."jason

"seriously? Your trusting this boys words? The way he sounds, he sounds like a lunatic."

"you know, we investigated him and his own background and found no evidence that hes insane." tuba

"though you may not trust my words, try understanding my warnings. You have already experienced it once right? Quantum bursts."jason

"boy, thats classified, but it might be true."

Majority of them agreed where some of them wasnt quite sure what to say with the situation.

"oh yeah, there might be something that rod mason left with the late president in his time about this."richard

"really?" all of them said wide eyed

"yes."richard

"sir, are you sure that this is a wise decision?" tuba

Butwhen they got a smoke out, they suddenly heard gunshots over the corner of the hall.

"what was that?!" one of them said as they ready their guns

After a few seconds, a smoke grenade was thrown into them where they were blinded. Then gunshots were heard and it was already too late for the men guarding pollution man.

"walvoro. What a waste of a good cigar."the team leader said after their team gathered just outside the cell

They then placed energy bombs into each combination lock to each cell door until they then arrived to an isolated door where pollution man was placed, sleeping on his bed.

They then woke him up and moved out of the compound.

In the presidents limo, there was jason and tuba riding with him to his house.

"are we there yet?" richard said to the driver

"no sir, not yet. Traffic is very bad."

"hahh.. Fine. I might also sleep like jason here." richard said while watching jason sleeping in the corner

With that, he slept along with jason throughout the whole ride.

"sir, wake up. Were here." tuba said waking up the president and jason

There, they stopped at a big gate where there was only at least one guard who went to them and got the gates open as well.

"where are the others?" asked the driver to the guard

"its a mess in there. Im sorry if im the only one who stayed behind."

"tell us what happened." richard said on the back seat

"all i know is that the others went inside the house to check up whats happening, other than that, just gunshot sounds."

"we must now make sure my wife is alright! Lets go now!" richard

They then go towards the house where they saw the doors blown up and that there was remains of a gunfight and granade blasts. There richard then ran towards their home wherehe saw his wife at the bottom of a man who guarded her.

"sophia! Are you alright?!" richard said after tossing aside the man

"who is a medic in here?!" tuba said after they arrived on the scene where richard was crying for his wife

It was also a good thing that the driver knew first aid and was also a nursing graduate

"sir, i think she migh be long gone."

"no way.. " richard was in total grief

The area was than filled with dread then after a few seconds, jason came in

"if you will excuse me sirs, whats happening here?" jason

"its his wife, shes...." tuba said with grief

"sir, if you can excuse me, i might be able to bring her back. Tell me her pulse." jason

"really?! You can do that?!" tuba said as richard was still crying

"sir, she still has a pulse, but its very weak right now. At this rate, if we dont get her to a hospital."

"i wont say dont worry, but let me help you." jason said excusing himself towards sophia

"i will try to rececitate her. Can you lie her down for now?" jason

"its just like giving electricity to a small bulb. So how many volts do i need?" jason said clenching his fists with small electricity flowing

"maybe around 60 volts? I forgot."

They all agreed while jason stands ready as he placed his fists on her upper and lower chest.

There, she was saved as she lets out a deep gasp.

Everyone in the room was rejoicing as jason saved the first lady.

"yes." richard said as he comforts his wife

"sir, your wife should also lie down for a while"

"yes, your right." richard said looking at his wife still gasping at the situation

They then go towards the bed room where richard lies her down on the bed and the others clean the place while tube searches for the files

"sir, all i can find is a couple more USBs." tuba

"thats it. All of it are copies of his actual research." richard

"really?" tuba

"yup." richard

"sir, what should we do now?"

"we go back to the malacanang to report everything. But until mybwife regains consciousness and calms down." richard

"okay then. Jason has even slept at the foot of the bed." tuba

"as we figured. Using powers can also use up mental strength." richard

After a while of rest, they came back to the malacanang to report everything that happened.
