World Log Entry 1: 1969 - Nova Collapse

Humanity had just recently discovered Ronove on the moon. They had bought back a large 50 KG rock found in one of the craters on the moon. They bought it back because it was glowing white and they wanted to see if the moon was made of anything different from earth. That was humanity first mistake. They had bought the rock afterwards to an underground bunker in Rome where they did experiments on it. They discovered it was made with a strange material, despite its exterior being glowly white. The inside was pure black. The scientist were fascinated by it. Especially the leading chief researcher Roswell Russo, son of the leader of the moon expedition Ronove Russo. During one of their experiments on the rock, Roswell who was curious about the rock had placed his head on the white exterior of the rock. The next thing he knew, everyone in the research lab had disappeared. He was shocked silent, he wasn't the only one. Every country who had sent their finest researcher to the lab were outraged. They quickly convened and held an emergency meeting on what to do next. A vote was held, whether to tell the world what had happened, and on what to do with the rock. Some were saying they should tell the world about the danger and they need to immediately return the rock back to the moon, others were arguing they need to find out what exactly happened to the people and so to do more experiments on the rock. It came down to these 2 sides and they had an equal amount of votes. While the world leaders were arguing about what to do, above ground in the city of rome, a different situation was happening. People had started to mutate into strange beasts. From the time the ronove was bought to the underground lab in Rome, people were turning into hideous beasts. At first, it was just small districts of people who had their hands and legs morphed to strange animalistic features, but over the next few weeks, more and more people were turning to complete beast. And soon 75% of Rome was turned into strange animals. That was when chaos started to happen, these animals would start to eat and fight each other. They would kill the remaining humans who had not turned.The government of course was not aware of this, as they were too busy with the research of the Ronove to truly deal with it. Eventually the government officals did found out about this but it was already too late. They could only evacuate the remaining humans into the underground bunker shelters, which was not a wise idea as experiments on the Ronove was still going on. Yes the government and world at large at decided to continue experimenting on the world at large. It was unknown why and how the decision came to be even now beside the fact Roswell had somehow convinced the nay sayers to continue with the experiments. During this time, it was when the public knowledge of Ronove came to be found. The black interior of the rock could produce limitless elemental energy. It was then decided the rock would be humanity new power source. The people of rome who were led underground had also learnt about this. They were mad that the situation above was ignored and instead the government was wasting their time with this nonsense. A riot soon occured as they held the rock hostage. They demanded the government find a way to fix the problem above ground and they also blamed the rock for their troubles. Held hostage in the room too was Roswell, in the midst of all this commotion, he had managed to touch ths surface of the rock again. Just like the first time he did, soon everyone had vanished unexpectedly. Almost everyone, a few of the children of the remaining citizens were spared from the disappearing, they had vowed revenge and wanted to make roswell paid but couldn't as they didn't know if he could make them disappear if they rebelled. So they pretended to be complacent with fhe Russos who, now led by Roswell also threatened the remaining world government officals to do his bidding.
