Second engagement! Overclock!

Ring Fall Y2K

Drums! guitars ! Vocals!

The sound of Metal Music was defiantly playing throughout the open space.

By the time Ward got to the top of the building, every crater in the ground started to spew Fallen. Some of them were laughing hysterically while the others looked as if their entire body was covered in mouths armed with sharp crystalline teeth.

They all looked like average people on their way to work, if it weren’t for the gray leathery skin full of gnarly scars and the crystals deforming them in different ways. The ones who were laughing caught Wards eye first, seeing their ribs, neck and shoulders grow sharp red crystals that seemed to twist the flesh. The second thing Ward saw was a horde of people who seemed to be suffering from life threating slashes, only to realize each wound was, in fact, a yellow toothed mouth.

Through his scope, the captain quickly scanned the area.

“There are eight holes they are coming from. Nomad Blow u-“ Ward started but was cut off by Nomad firing sixteen rockets from his wings. “Never mind you’re good! Kaya, I have your back! Don’t let them get to Nomad.” Ward continued, giving the first monster he saw through the scope a long-ranged lobotomy.

The rockets exploded in pairs, one above a hole and one inside it, with only a split second between each explosion. Four of the holes crumbled inwards, closing under the weight of the rocks while the other four holes grew larger.

Bits and pieces of flesh flew everywhere as some of the Fallen that grouped up there did not manage to react in time.

Out of reflex, Ward started to shoot the ones covered in yellow crystals.

They were moving erratically and William found it hard to adapt to their sudden bursts of speed.

But Ward was ready for it, his gun already loaded with two separate magazines. The first with explosive bullets and the second with armor-piercing bullets.

With a flick of a switch the gun alternated between the two as Ward slowly got the hang of his enemies’ habits

What ward did not expect was to see some crystalline heads, that were left intact from the explosion of the rockets, grow their body back as the red crystals that twisted the flesh in their necks glowed violently.

The Fallen were laughing so hard that Ward thought they might die again.

In less than six seconds all five of them formed a spine and arms, crawling forward with increasing speed.

A bolt of lightning shot through their head before William could change his aim to finish the job.

“I got them” Kaya said with a slightly ruff voice, Jellyfish and lightning swarming around her and Nomad. To William she sounded as if she spent the last moments screaming, with the microphone off.

Her mech coiled around Nomad, biting in half several Devourers who got cocky before swiping at a few more that took some distance.

“Captain, the Yellow ones all want to get to nomad, but where are the red ones?” Kaya asked, mid tail swipe.

“Anya has them” Ward said, surprised.

“Do you mean they have Anya?” Louis said, his mech finally capable of standing once more with a jellyfish still stuck to his injury.

“No… she definitely got this” Ward said while taking a closer look for a moment.

If Ward had to describe Anya’s fighting style in one word it would be unorthodox.

Undying was using its hammer to shatter the ground and its enemies with every swing.

Its arms were usually tearing enemies in half or throwing them away.

The now slower enemies were then crushed or pinned to the floor to be dealt with later.

Surrounded by a red river of both Laughing enemies and blood was a single Mech blasting music at extreme volumes.

Undying swung its hammer with its upper arms, claiming several heads.

It’s lower arms shooting nails from the wrists with each punch, sticking their legs to the ground.

It then grabbed two of the Relentless around it and ripped them in half, squishing the heads.

While the three-meter-tall monsters were all trying their best to fight back they were quickly overpowered even when working together.

Anya then used the monster remains in her hands and threw them with enough force to break the stone floor.

pieces of steel were flying all over and sparks from slashes and bites were abundant.

But while Undying was taking hits, they all seemed to bounce off its armor

Undying then stuck two of its hands through the ground, enemies rushing to get to the Cockpit through the opening.

It then lifted two of the huge stone slabs on the ground and slapped them together, killing many in the impact.

In a flurry of metal and blood the four-armed mech bounced its hammer from skull to skull. while at times stopping the hammer dead in its tracks after a hit, only to change direction and hit again.

The battle raged all over as the jellyfish started to be overwhelmed.

Nomad and Kaya were fighting back-to-back.

Waterfall restraining the fallen with its long body while Nomad went for the kill.

They almost looked like they were dancing as their graceful movements played off each other.

“I am loosing too many drones. I need to send them away. Nomad we need those missiles.” Kaya said as all the Jellyfish scattered leaving the Dragon and swordsman to face off the rest of the Fallen who were not lured by the music of Undying.

“Oui Ma sœur “ Louis said calmly as he dislodged his sword from one of the mouths of a fallen that tried to break his sword.

Where drones once were, rockets took their place.

A chain of sixty explosions was heard all the way to New Paris above while Nomad and Oath did their best to cover the battlefield with as many explosions as possible.

They both did their best to prevent their enemy from adapting again, Killing the Devourers as fast as possible.

Nomad changed his stances often and struck each time in a different style while William kept changing bullets.

“I am going to help Undying” Kaya said when it looked like Louis and Ward could handle the Devourers and started to slither to towards the bloodbath.

Anya saw her coming and used the confusion Waterfall caused to grab a hold of one of the Rails connecting New Paris and Old Paris. It pulled hard and in one motion Undying detached a huge chunk of railway about forty-meter-long.

The song emanating from the machine reached its crescendo as Waterfall floated up the railway as it swung.

Before they knew what hit them the Relentless were slammed against the wall of the building and held there with the rail while a huge metallic dragon cleaved off their heads

The battle seemed to turn in the teams favor and William just started to relax when one of the Devourers Grew eyes in the back of its head and dodged Wards bullet.

It then split itself in half almost down the middle, revealing a mouth as large as the monsters deformed torso.

Before Wards second bullet could hit, the Devourer ripped a huge chunk off of Nomad’s back.

The Devourer slithered up the stunned Nomad, going in for the kill.

Only to be stopped by a rocket strait to the face that sent it flying to kingdom come.
