Prologue

“God, if you can hear me, please let my suffering end right now.”

He was currently in a hospital, also had an IV installed in his arm, where he was rushed to the ICU for surgery.

“kevin yu, after examining your life, im sure you might have regrets.” he suddenly hears a voice in his head

“yeah, I have plenty alright. Though what does that have to do with me right now?” kevin said in his thoughts

“you are now old, but you had lived a sages life all this time. Do you have any regrets?” the voice said

“yes, I have plenty alright. And because of my life being like this, I don’t have any partners to share my stories with, which also led me to just adopt a child in the end to take care of me during old age. But still, my life had a bit of meaning.” kevin said

“do you hate your life?” the voice said

“there may be ups and downs, but im sure that I find it all meaningful. But if I had to pick something, I would say that I hate my life a bit.” kevin said

“why is that?” the voice said

“even if I may have a safe life, my life was all meaningless when it comes to love and everything else. I may have learned a lot about life and its secrets, but its all meaningless if im alone.” kevin said

“why do you not want to be alone? You had the perfect life one could ever dream of.” the voice said

“true, but imperfection is already perfection. Thus, I don’t seek a perfect life, I only wished for a good one.” kevin said

“if you had one more chance at life, would you take it?" The voice said

"Yes." Kevin said

"Alright then. You may have another chance in life, but this time, you have to live it with all you have got." The voice said

"Got it." Kevin said in his thoughts before he finally closed his eyes and loosened up. "Though my love for science and anime stays yet the same, I also regret not being able to witness their evolution." He said as well

He then thought about all the things that happened in his life, up until that very moment. All before he opened his eyes once more, to find that hes currently lying in a hospital bed. He checked his hands to see not old wrinkly hands, but young and fresh hands with light skin! As well as a smaller body build!

“what the hell just happened?!” kevin said

He also checked to see if he could move his legs, before he actually tries to stand up from his bed, and gone towards the bathroom to check if he isnt really dreaming. Once he checked his new face, he now have a young handsome face, though his head had a thick bandage around it.

“so this is my new face, and my new body.” kevin said as he examines his body. “feels weird to be in a new body, but its ok.”

After a few minutes of checking, he then returned to his bed, all before a nurse came in which she just made her rounds.

“oh, so its true that you are now awake!” the nurse said before she closed the door again to call on the doctor

Then after a few hours of waiting, a doctor finally came to his room.

“so leo, how are you feeling now?” the doctor said

“just fine, thanks. Can I know on why im currently in this situation right now?” leo said

“you really don’t remember?” the doctor said

“yes, I don’t.” leo said as he thought its probably best to have amnesia in times like this

“alright then, but are you sure you want to hear about it?” the doctor said

“yes, im sure.” leo said

“I might need to contact your parents first, do you mind?” the doctor said

“just tell me now, please.” leo said acting nervously

“alright.” the doctor said before he told him the story

The summary of the story goes that leonardo rah rivera, a 12 year old which was about to start high school, was heavily bullied at school, according to his other classmates. And his parents not knowing about it cause they are always busy at work, it now turns to a point where his depression peaked and jumped off the top of his own house, which is a 4 story building right outside the city of Davao. And ever since then, doctors did their best towards his cracked skull, and which he slept for about 3 days now.

“and thats how you got here.” the doctor said

“I see. Thank you for the information.” leo said

“for someone who just had a past like that, you seem calm about all this.” the doctor said

“yeah, just what can I even do? Based on what you have told me, there was nothing I could have done at that time.” leo said

“true. Anyways, during the operation, we had placed a kind of medical glue to your skull. But with your age, your skull should be healing right now.” the doctor said

“thank you doctor. Can I ask to stroll around, while I wait for my parents?” leo said

“sure! I will accompany you for now.” the doctor said

“are you sure doctor? You might be really busy right now.” leo said

“a little break is totally fine. Whats more is that I could speak with you a little bit more, since you piqued my interest a bit.” the doctor said as leo agrees

With that, they were finally able to go outside the room, where leo saw some people wearing transparent glasses while gazing at the distance and fidgeting like something is there. Then at the lobby, there are more people like that, as well as very flat screens which displays some variety shows. And lastly, they were now able to go to the park right behind the hospital, where he then saw flying cars for the first time.

“I have a few questions if you don’t mind.” leo said

They were now sitting at a bench, where they continue their conversation.

“sure! Ask anything!” the doctor said

“what is the date today?” leo said

“today is august 18, 3072.” the doctor said as leo was wide eyed
