BECAUSE IT WILL BECOMING WORSE IT SEEMS
At Gerald's Van
"Say, Gerald. I'm surprised that you can keep your robot arm rusted like that more than once a day. How does that even happen?" asked Taki.
"Stop teasing him, girl. He hasn't done any exercise since having that arm and leg. Of course, it's going to get rusted", said Monie.
Taki Hversky and Monie Hanabi are female soldiers at the top of their ranks. Both of them came to Gerald's van at that moment because Makori and Fillian had brought a lot of machines and artillery from where they had been found.
"Shut up", said Gerald while also sighing.
"Okay, guys, that's all of the things that we found in that abandoned room!" Makori exclaimed, then continued, "You all can decide how you guys divide it equally for both parties to take."
Leonard and Gerald took some of them. Taki and Monie did it too.
"I'm surprised you haven't seen that place, Macky. Considering you and your family were the ones who made this handmade island," Leonard said.
With a serious tone, Makori answered, "That's what's been bothering me. I also thought I had patrolled every single room, at least, in District 7. Something was not adding up."
Everyone in the van was concerned, Fillian then said, "Should... we... like investigate it again? We might find an answer in that place. Technically we only scheme through the things that are there and not the room itself."
"Can I come too?" asked Linda who sat down in the corner just hearing all of the conversation going on inside the van.
"Wait, Linda! We can't let you go far from here", Makori patted Linda's right shoulder, "I'm not risking one of my best doctors in the district to essentially a battlefield. I still doubt that place and feel uneasy with all of this."
Then Fillian patted Linda's left shoulder, and added, "Yeah, I don't want my best friend to go there either. It's still dangerous without protection."
Linda looked sad but she stood firm and said, "No! I want to come! Besides I can defend myself, I have a built-in disable-ator inside me, see!", after she clicked her built-in disable-ator to be activated, everyone was shocked when all of the machine and artillery had a seizure.
"What the...?!" Taki and Gerald, let go of their hand off the box full of said machine and artillery.
"My belt did it too", Fillian exclaimed while pointing at her belt.
Makori saw, widened his eyes, and said, "No way! These were my parents'... design. That's why it's all getting seizure. It's an old design, that was not registered in the system."
Everyone was confused, so Makori had to explain, "Ah, my bad. Basically, you know that every gadget and machine that we use daily is registered as a normal machine right? Meanwhile, robots are registered as living beings. So, I programmed this disable-ator to disable everything but the normal machine. So, in other words, it will affect my parents' design too because all of these also had different registrations."
Everyone then mumbled and some of them sighed in relief, but Fillian got weirded out, "Wait, hold on! Then how come the disable-ator that I made with that scrap could still stand the shockwave?"
Makori gave Fillian the look, "Of course, it going to stand, Fillian. You took out the core component that made it unique."
Fillian answered, "Ooooh. Now I get it."
Makori then walked to the van's door and said, "Now, I'm more intrigued to visit that room again. Come on Filly, we're going."
Linda cut Fillian and asked again, "May I?", and gave Makori a sad face.
Makori, couldn't resist so he said, "Ughh, fine. Let's go!"
Meanwhile at the Center Hall
"Let's review it again if all of this hypothesis is on the right track", said Hailey.
"Okay Mom", said Helen nodding her head.
"White!"
"No energy or no battery."
"Green!"
"A working machine or robot but work on its own."
"Red!"
"A working machine or robot that has some sort of life or it's sentient."
"Purple!"
"A mountable robot that is not active."
"Blue"
"A mountable robot that is active."
"Well, that's everything that we have discovered. It's still baffling to me but this makes sense to us two for now", Hailey said while holding her notebook, "Now, honey, how about we test your, ehm... power?"
"Okay."
Both Hailey and Helen walked to one of the utility rooms. They encounter some people on the way there who politely greet them and Hailey still feels awkward greeting them back.
They arrived at the utility room to use the vacuum cleaner. Hailey grabbed it and asked Helen, "Okay, honey. Make this turn on."
With a strong will the vacuum cleaner turned on.
"Now, turn it back off."
Same as before, Helen turned the vacuum off pretty easily.
"Do you feel nausea?"
"No, Mom. I feel quite alright."
Hailey sighed and continued, "I'm glad. Now try to control the vacuum. But slowly this time."
Helen tried to do so but quickly fainted but as she fell, Hailey was there to catch her.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I can't do it."
"No, you don't need to be sorry. You did your best."
After that, Hailey carried Helen back to the center of Center Hall where people usually gather.
"Oh, it's snack time already?" asked one of the people near Hailey.
Hailey whispered to Helen, "You hear that, honey? We're going to eat a snack. Let's gather more energy before we do more of this, okay?"
"Okay."
All of the survivors gather in the center to eat snacks. This snack usually consists of cookies, a small portion of cake, and tea.
After a snack gathering, Helen looked at something that she had never seen before.
"Mom, I see some red light above us. The light is really small right now, but I think it getting bigger, by the second."
Hailey was shocked and asked, "How... How many lights are there?"
Helen answered, "Five. There are five lights."
Hailey stood up and screamed, "Everyone prepared yourselves. Robots are coming down the elevator at the back of this building. There is going to be a war down here."
Hailey searched around to see Collen, "Collen!"
Collen prepared himself, and said, "I'm ready as I ever be."
