Chapter 6:

Undead

Demon's Path | Akuma No Michi

Akuma was urging to destroy the whole mountains, but he knew that more strong enemies were waiting for him, so he entered the gateway yet again. This time the floor was filled with dead bodies everywhere, and they weren’t even concealed, blatantly shown to Akuma. “I don’t like so many corpses around me, I can’t even move. Show yourself so we can end this quickly.”- Steps approached, slow but loud. A cloaked man, around the age of 70 could be seen, he was holding a large stick. Akuma used his evil eyes to sense the magical attributes of the stick, it was insanely strong and he knew this wasn’t going to be easy. The old man also held around his neck, a gem, dark red and vibrant. When Akuma analyzed this gem, he noticed that it contained an infinite amount of energy, and the scary part was that this could be easily released without drawbacks. “Hello my child, are you ready to face me, The Apostle of Death?”- “I have a feeling you’re one of those pedos.”- This seemed to anger the man, and the fingers of the corpses started moving as he tapped the staff on the ground. In a shocking fashion all the corpses were starting to rise, equipped with armor, swords, bows. All sorts of weapons. “I am not dealing with this.”- The undead started swarming Akuma as he blew those he could away, but due to the infinite energy the man possessed, they kept coming back. Soon there was a pile of zombies on top of Akuma, scratching, hitting, biting away at him. Akuma however, didn’t find this very respectful, so he let out a roar. “GET OFF ME YOU FUCKING BITCHES!”- His roar sent all the undead flying, incinerating them with ease, not only that, Akuma started growing into a beast like appearance, fangs that could reach the other end of his jaw, hair growing on the sides of his head and claws sharper than the mightiest swords. His eyes became primal, savage. As soon as the corpses got reanimated, they got instantly incinerated. This was due to his passive ability to manipulate the life force of things, on an absolute and undeniable level. It’s range was about 10 to 20 metres, so the Necromancer was safe, but he was very worried and scared. Akuma frantically rushed towards the Necromancer while at the same time more corpses kept getting brought back and obliterated at the same time. Akuma was drooling at the thought of devouring this annoying man, his roars were now similar to that of a lion, but mightier. He tore apart the ground with his claws and once even tore away the fabric the man’s cloak was made out of. “I don’t fear death, child, but you, you’re something far worse and blood-curdling than death, I fear you.”- Tears started rushing out of the old man’s eyes as the titan of a man was getting closer, and when he was close enough, his ability left the man to drop dead at such speeds that couldn't even be measured. Then using his ability to devour beings he ate the man, gaining his necromancer-like abilities, and his infinite energy. Now reverting back to his normal self. This time a gate like none of the others appeared, it was divine, but the concept of absolute death was behind it, and Akuma knew that. He was finally getting to see and fight with his fated enemy, Lady Death. He rushed towards the gate in anticipation of what awaits him...
