Chapter 3:
What color is the azure sky?
as mihak picked the mask and was about to go in the cave but was approached by a woman with fierce eyes and personality ‘you better go home wimpy you might get eaten by the cave like this” she said while hitting his back which shook him completely. ‘ Bal-dy bring my lunch’ said this mysterious lady to one of his lackey. ‘here’ the bal-dy group came from the back of crew which might be largest group on this site bringing the lunch which was so heavy that it take 2 men to carry it and she opened it and gave him some fried patato and chilli and said ‘hardship make man and I like those who face them head-on’ while smiling and start devouring the lunch quickly ‘ captain that's everyone’s lunch’ said the vice-captain Momo(man) ‘Oh, sorry, my bad. Just a little more,’ she replied as everyone in the crew engaged to stop her and close the box. Mihak stared at them while they were at it. But The sound of the bell marked the start of the shift, and while the Gya Crew was still sorting themselves out, Mihak was the first to head inside for digging.
He picked a random site and began hitting the ground, his face devoid of expression. The sound of his strikes was so loud it felt like an explosion. He kept striking no matter what he found, shattering every ore, fossil, and valuable to dust, and continued relentlessly. After the eight-hour shift ended, everyone else was leaving.
"Was there a hole here before we started?" a worker pointed out in surprise, but he ignored it and collected his pay. Mihak, however, did not pause for a moment. Without decreasing his power, he kept going for 48 hours straight until his hands could no longer lift or feel anything. "How weak and pathetic I am," Mihak thought, looking at his hands as tears began to flow. He wiped them away with his dirty clothes. He somehow picked up the pickaxe again, thinking, "When is it going to collapse? When am I going to die? When will I meet my family?"
As his next strike hit the ground, a crack in the stone slowly extended and spread across the entire tunnel. It began to collapse. The cable net supports held for a few seconds but then broke. "That woman was right," Mihak thought. Everyone started to run out to survive, but some chose to stay, seeking release from this cruel world. After the chaos settled, Mihak was on his knees in a corner. "I am really weak," he said, his weeping face illuminated by the light of the illumini, similar to the moon in a bluish night.Cursing himself for falling aside as the rocks fell on him, he kept crying and asking for forgiveness from his family, whom he let die for his selfish desire to live. While weeping, he desperately tried to remove rocks from the entrance, but there seemed to be no end to it.
After a few minutes of removing sand and rocks, his hands were covered in blood, but it made no difference in the sea of stones. There were many sections inside the 31st tunnel, and no one knew where he might be, so he had already given up on outside help. He kept at it as long as his energy lasted. After a few hours, he was on his last breaths, but his eyes burned with tenacity, staring at the rocks.
Suddenly, the rocks began to fall back, as if someone was pulling them out. He stepped back, and the whole wall of rocks fell. A shadow appeared on his face with light shining from behind. The shadow said, "Sorry, there were quite a number of rocks to clear," and slowly descended to avoid damaging his back. Guta arrived and said to the shocked Mihak, "I think I've paid for the noodles."
"This is so stupid, and this much is obvious for one bowl," Mihak replied, stretching his hand towards Guta for help. Guta came down from the pulling machine.
"Help me carry this," Mihak said, showing a big bag filled with ores, fossils, and other items. Everyone who had been afraid now ran inside the hole to grab the leftovers, snatching, beating, and digging, creating full chaos in the background. "How did you even know I was here?" Mihak asked. "You must have that royal medallion with you right now. It's actually an SOS receptor and have microphone inside it. I have the receiver end at my house," Guta replied. "What about my muttering? Were you listening to them?" Mihak interrupted while feeling shit."Nope, I didn't want to hear them, but you were too loud. They weren't that bad," Guta said. In his heart, he respects for Mihak's determination to live.
“It must be those union of sector rules (USR) prohibit the use of heavy vibrational tools” guta asked mihak ‘yeah’ mihak replied. As they were exiting guta notices cracking sound and said ‘ look like this is it’ and raises his hand as soon as he pushes mihak aside guta was also not sure why he done that but he did not regret this a huge rock at least 200 kilos fall on his hands breaking hand and falls upon him breaking his hope which was left fully crushing his spines into pieces his vision is blurred and don't know what is happening anymore and everything blackens out as he groans.
