Chapter 0:
The Realm That Called Me
I was a 42 year old man who lost his job, family, and friends. I was a nice guy but also a criminal. I worked as a civil engineer, had a loving family which included my wife and two children. One boy and one girl. My parents had passed away and I was an only child. I had quite the bit of money working as a civil engineer for 17 years. I had 2 houses, 3 cars and a bike. But it all ended one night.
One night, I was coming back from work, I saw a woman being raped by 3 men. I quickly took my gun and got out of the car. I shot the three men, called police and picked up the woman and took her to the hospital. After describing the scene I left the hospital only to woke up the next day from the sound of police knocking on my door. They took me as a suspect of the rape. That girl had filed a report stating that it was me who raped her. After an unfair trial I was sentenced to 25 years in prison for rape and murder. My family whom I had told the story beforehand refused to believe in me. i was completely broken on the inside. My wife divorced me, taking most of my net worth and my house.
After my sentence was over and I was free, I went to the bridge I used to play at with my father. On the way I saw two girls arguing with each other. A truck was coming at them which they did not see. I thought about leaving them as the last time I helped someone went really well but I knew if I left them I would regret it later. I started running towards them while shouting "look behind you, move" but it was no use. I sprinted at them pushing them out of the way, they were safe.... but I was not. I got hit by the truck. That was the last thing I remember before waking up in a hospital. I had actually wished that I had died their, but luck was not on my side. After a few months I left the hospital with one arm less. While leaving the hospital, I was deep in thoughts, so deep that I did not see the truck next to me..... DUHPP.... I had died. I died instantly. Probably because my body could not handle another truck straight to the face.
