Reborn

I slowly gained consciousness. I thought "what? How did I survive again." As I thought this I saw a face of a woman, she did not look like a nurse or a doctor. As I examined the room, I realized that I was not in a hospital. I was in a old fashioned country home. I tried to move but I felt weak, not like the last time I got hit. When I saw my hands I was shocked. It was like the hand of a baby. I realized that I had been reborn. But why did I have my memories from last life then? I thought maybe my last life was my first life that's why I did not have any memories of before that and as you grow older in the lives after you slowly lose memories. "So this woman is my mother and that guy is my father, 'he's jacked' is what I thought. He had black hair, he was quite tall and had a well built body. My mother had black hair as well, a great figure and a soft voice.

The language they spoke was different than mine so I thought I must be in some other underdeveloped country. After a few months I slowly started to understand the language. My mother read me books every night to sleep. I was considered an odd baby since I did not cry much. I only sometimes cried so they would not get too suspicious, as I was their first child they did not know much about parenting and children hence I got away with it easily.

My  parents had a lot of books at our home. They were very keen to read books. Though I was only read children fairy tales. They were quite different than ones in my country. There was one about a sage who defeated the evil demon king by using magic. I was quite interested in things like this in my old life as well. I had libraries of light novels and manga's in my house along with other books. I slowly started to learn the vocabulary from these books. By the time that I was 1.5 years old, I was able to speak fluently in this language. My name in this life was 'Xymelix'. They called me 'Xym' as a nickname. My mother's name was 'Zukifu', and my father's name was 'valric'. 

Apparently this country did not have the concept of last names. The geography in this country was really weird. I had accidently stumbled on a world map. It had no recognizable name from my previous life. It had names like 'aleoria', 'Zarathyn region'. I had no knowledge where I was. I had started to think that maybe I was in another world like the novels and manga's I read.
