Vader Corps Tryouts Part 2

“Let’s go, I’ll show you how strong my new essence can be.”

Apollo, Juzu, and Sola walk into the room. “Sola, so that’s your Seekers power? You are immortal.”

“Yeah, some people would kill to have this power, but after a while, you get lonely and scared, because if Nova can’t take this away, I wouldn't know what I'll do,” says Sola.

“That won’t happen, Nova has no choice but to listen to our command, when we get it.” Mr. Z looks at Pai. You are changing, before my eyes in such little time. “Come on, guys, I got games to play later,” Vanula says, going down the elevator.

“Hey, my arm is fully healed now, it’s feeling better, Dad.” A white portal appears in the room, but Taro is the only one that notices “Hey, guys, do you see this?"

Everyone else froze in place. Taro’s surroundings turn bright white and the portal edges darken, black smoke flows throughout. A skeleton arm reaches out for Taro grabbing him by the neck.

Where is my ghost trigger, what the fuck is going on right now? Is this the spirit? “I only saved you, so I can have a meal myself.”

“Who are you, bastard?”

“I always liked the name Victor, beware of me, mortal!”

Victor drops Taro, looking at his arm it's rotted down to the bone. Zack Zack is the one to shake Taro out of the state. She noticed not even being in the room herself. “How the hell did you know, everyone else was…”

Everyone else’s senses come back. Taro falls back, but Zack Zack catches him. “I sensed someone else’s spirit energy flaring up,” says Mr. Z

“I just talked with an evil spirit. He's a friendly guy, his name is Victor. Asshole came from nowhere,” says Taro.

“Victor, the horseman.”

“You know who that is, Dad?”

“Yeah, I know the spirit managed to run away long ago.”

“Why is it back if you scared it away?”

“It’s because Victor's looking down on you, Taro.”

“Is this what you meant when saying I can become stronger by defeating my enemies, but I’m the one who is bringing them to myself?” laughs Taro.

“It’s one of the many ways you can become stronger. Taro, just because you wield ghost trigger doesn’t mean you’re its master. The weapon is testing you by inviting spirits, to see if you can defeat them,” noted Mr.Z.

My own weapon is testing me, to see if I’m worthy. Taro grabs ghost trigger squeezing down. “Alright bastard, I'll show you who's boss,” says Taro. Zack Zack smells Taro's head. “You smell like bones.”

“How did you even notice what was happening?”

“These eyes of mine will never lie to me. I can kinda see through all realms, even when I don’t want to. Everyone’s just clueless, however not you.”

“Look at this place! You jerks have the best technology in the city. Good thing we’re not going to school anymore.”

“About that, if you’re successful against me, you’ll have daily classes building upon your essence and knowledge of all seven star systems,” informed Vanula.

“Goddammit, I thought we dodged it.”

“Vanula, are there rankings or grades for Vader corps?” asks Kel.

“From lowest to highest ranks you got: Underdog, Rookie, Private Recruit.

Dropping levels for the training room, you can smell smoke from earlier. “Finally High-rank first-class guard. Lastly Vader boss, but only a few selected can be appointed for first rank guard. You all must have the ability to protect a Vader boss in the future.” “So we’re both underdogs already.”

“Don’t get ahead of yourselves. Pai, I’m the one who is gonna test both your strengths. You both are below underdog ranking right now. I don’t care if you’re a Seeker. You don’t get special treatment, you have to work like everyone else. If you think it’ll be easy, think again. I can be a little harder on my own kind, sorry in advance.”

The training room is repaired by maintenance bots. Pai and Kel stand by each other, the Vader boss awaits from across. “I’ll give you guys one minute to try and hit me, I won't move from this spot.”

“Cocky bastard.”

“Pai, don't forget the plan.”

“Yeah, yeah sure…Kel, but first I need to get loose. I wanna test my Seeker against his. I feel like it’s calling me right now.”

“We can’t have you messing up the plan. Can’t you feel that essence peeling off him? This guy could’ve ended Bombast by himself, I’m pretty sure you know that as well. We gotta put up a better fight than that.”

“Alright, you guys ready,” says Vanula, with purple essence running along his scar. Pai disappears in a flash, and Kel throws tornados at the boss.

Pai falls above, the holy ring glows bright red, waves circle around his body going back inside the ring. His feather-style sword extends out; beaming bright red, shining to ablaze. The whole training room turns bright red. Pai’s sought marking shows his raging pink eyes.

“Solar flare!” Red flares mirror along the bosses electrical eyes. “Straight to it I see?” Purple lightning clashing together, the two powers push each other back and forward. “Damn, Seekers going all out,” says Zack Zack.

The room shakes, as their essence mixes, and explosions break out. Teleporting behind Vanula swinging the feather blade from below, however, Vanula strikes Pai with lightning point-blank. Kel launches Pai over Vanula's head.

Tornados fall for Vanula, but he doesn’t move at all. “How come this guy isn’t moving at all?” says Kel. Pai teleports in front of Vanula, throwing a kick. Vanula blocks with his forearm, flipping Pai with the same arm. Pai teleports on top of Vanula's head striking down on him.

Vanula looks up, purple lightning shoots out, hitting Pai through the air. “AAAHHHH,” Pai yells. Bouncing on the ground, teleporting he catches himself. That hurt!

Current picks up inside, powerful winds blitz circling around. Vanula looks up. Kel floats above with her eyes closed. Even Pai is lifted up. Vanula still stands on his feet. Kel forces all the wind in the room into her palms. She commands a gray orb, and later the beam shoots gusts of wind upon Vanula.

The beam sucks everything into it, and Pai goes flying also; Kel catches him before. “Kel you didn’t say that was gonna happen, are you tryna kill me,” says Pai. Kel's blasts push Vanula back some, and he smirks.

“Good I was wondering when you'll be able to do it. Don’t slow down on me yet.” Lightning fires for them, yet Kel’s winds counter and it barely misses her and Pai. Interesting, her wind has a strong shield; it's like the wind is her invisible exoskeleton.

Wind clashes with Vanula. Consuming him, afterward calming down. A burly green outline of a purple sword is revealed in front of Vanula, blocking the impact. “Good job, Kel. When are you gonna show me something, Pai!”

Purple lightning connects underneath Kel. “AAAGHHH!” Kel yells.

Before hitting the ground wind barely catches her. Teleporting near Vanula, Pai swings his feather blade three times, while making craters under them. Every hit shrinks Vanula’s sword.

What the hell? It’s getting smaller? From behind the sword, Vanula’s revealed wearing a mecha-like Gundam mask, with purple outline chromed in purple. The helmet points out front and back, as the ears point down sparking lightning. Vanula catches his sword, turning the tip for Pai.

Spawning by Vanula, swinging against it; essence parries both blades. Vanula swipes Pai away, thrusting his sword up. Lightning magnets for Pai, teleporting throughout the training room.

Shit, even without touching me I feel the volts go throughout my body. Damn, that’s a cool mask. Vanula slashes the beautiful sword for Pai from a distance. Purple lightning flies straight at the sought. He manages to teleport mid-air. On the other hand, Vanula is already above him. “How fast?"

Pai blocks the shot from Vanula, yet he’s shot into the ground. Kel fires wind from every direction, yet it's canceled out. Pushing amethyst essence off the blade, meeting before Kel. She spins herself around with both hands, storms of wind crack pushing Vanula down.

From below Pai teleports under, he and Vanula clash with each other. Sparks fly off their swords. Pai teleports all around Vanula, slashing the feather-style blade. Lightning blocks off the shots.

Pai teleports away, stronger winds erupt upon Vanula. His sword takes the impact, although he’s still being pushed to the ground. Pai’s eyes burn pink fading with the fiery sought marking. Pai swings his sword from behind with one hand.

“Solar flare!”

Flare and the winds clash together. Explosions cover Vanula, with swirls of red flares, also purple lightning, shock waves out the explosion. An essence of purple pushes energy away, aiming right at Kel, but Pai teleports in front, sucking the blast into his sword. Pai returns to the ground holding Kel’s hand.

“You alright, Kel?”

“Yeah… I’m fine, thanks.”

“Agh, lightning is annoying as hell,” says Pai.

“It’s protecting him like armor.”

“Armor, that’s it. Thanks, Kel. Try keeping him off for a second.”

“Try, don't you see this guy? What are you plotting, Pai?”

“Just watch…Come, Danika.” Closing his eyes, a heat mirage fades out the mouth. Danika comes out of Pai’s chest.

“Hello, King.”
