The first order

“Ahhh… I don’t wanna wake up yeeet, just a little longer…”

Etsumi mumbles as the sun’s rays sneak through her window poking into her eyes. All of a sudden she wakes up again by a loud squeaking noise that makes her fall right out of bed.

She feels something warm on her face as she opens her eyes but doesn’t see anything.

“Ahhhh, I’m bliiiiiind!!!“

Etsumi screams as she feels the warmth moving on her face a little bit.

There is a tingly feeling in her nose that she can’t get rid of and she lets out a big sneeze.

“Atchooooo!!!“

She sneezes and all of a sudden she can see again, its been her cat who sat on her face unbothered and looking for attention. The cat flies into the air and her fur is all fluffed up.

“Haha, Cookie what are you doing you silly cat!“

She pets her cat as Cookie lets out a big meow and waves its tail around.

Etsumi stands up and looks into the mirror as she scratches her blonde hair.

“Ugh, I look like a mess“

She proceeds to go into the kitchen where she opens a window and takes a look out of her apartment upon the city. It’s modern look with green everywhere, plants on the rooftops and sprinkled all over the city. Palm trees that make the roads look exotic and rivers that are flowing through the city, the beach not far away with the beautiful sound of the ocean and the noises of seagulls who are dashing through the sky. It’s like the feeling of waking up in nature everyday. A couple of birds fly by her window as she closes her eyes takes a deep breathe of the fresh air and wind is blowing through her hair. The quality of air is really good in the city because of all the plants. Cookie comes and snuggles herself against Etsumi while meowing.

“Cookie, isn’t that a wonderful view? I already love this city“

Cookie meows again in agreement.

“But I have to get ready now“

Shes taking a shower, eating her favorite cereal while playing with the toy that came with it, brushing her teeth in her heart shaped mirror while butterflies surround her. Dressing up but falling while trying to get her pants on. Etsumi’s smartphone blinks and a message appears on it. She picks it up and looks at the phone.

“Buongiorno, hope you have a good start in the day, will see you in the pizzeria, Eduardo :)”.

“Okay Cookie, gotta go now, wish me luck on my first day of work, cya later!”

“Meeeow”

Is the last thing Etsumi hears as she closes the door.

Work is voluntary in this city, the concept of the city is to just live life to the fullest doing what you love doing. Apartments, food, drinks, education are free so basically everything needed for a basic life. The city is based on an idea as being a paradise where you want to stay, a place worth living and seeing what life has to offer and it’s potential of giving you so much joy.

She runs out of the apartment and down the buildings stairs.

Unlocks her bike with her phone that she received for applying for the job.

Three different options appear on the screen, 1. Chill 2. Delivery 3.Sprint

“Hmm, I don’t know what to take, let’s use Sprint because I’m in a hurry anyways”

Etsumi touches the option and a beep sound comes out of the bike.

“I guess I’m all set, let’s goo, make some people happy!”

She shouts with a smile on her face and tries to press down the pedal.

Instantly the pedals disappear into the bike transforming into a scooter. Then all of a sudden the bike starts to move with extreme speed.

The city has a lot of roads specifically for bicycles, riding through parks being able to see the beauty of the city wherever you go. The feeling of passing through this city is unique, the freedom and look of it, waterfalls cascading down from above falling into the river. Palm trees and other exotic plants decorating the city wherever you look. Bridges that connect the city districts with each other and help to separate the bicycles from the busy traffic roads. A peaceful place with a beautiful view, just a girl interrupting it with a loud noise.

“Ahhhhhh, I can’t stop this damn thing why is it going sooo fast and why did it transform?!”

Etsumi cries out with tears in her eyes and wind blowing in her face.

Dodging pedestrians and public transportation that go by, almost accidentally crashing into some of them a couple of times because of going so fast.

“How do I stop this stupid thing, almost ended up as pizza topping!”

Suddenly the bikes display shows a message “Reached destination” in green font and the bike stops in front of a building with a big bright logo saying “Eduardo’s Pizza”.

“Is that it?”

Etsumi asks calmly but still exhausted from the ride.

She locks her bike and slowly goes into the shop, a good looking guy with longer brown hair is throwing dough trough the air.

“Buongiornooo, how can I help you?! “

The guy shouts with a friendly grin as he sees her walking in.

“Good morning, I’m Etsumi I’m here for the delivery job”

Etsumi answers while watching him putting ingredients on a circular laid out dough.

“Ohh, you’re the new one, welcome to the team you found your way here well?”

Eduardo asks while pulling a fresh pizza out of big stone oven from behind.

“Uhhh, I almost died a couple times but it’s alright I guess, but why does the bike even transform?”

She answers while giving him a nervous look.

“The Sprint mode in your bike? It’s basically an autopilot that will navigate you to the desired destination that you set on your map. It’s commonly used when in a hurry or using the Highway, because of the increased speed”

Eduardo answers feeling sorry for her.

“Ohhh, that’s good to know haha”

Etsumi answers with an face red of embarrassment.

But she forgets about it in a second as the smell of the pizza in the oven is mouth watering.

Etsumi’s eyes start to shine as she sees the fresh baked pizza.

“Mhmm, it looks so delicious!”

She says while staring at the pizzas brown crust and mozzarella.

“Thank you, old family recipe, it has to be hehe, here you go let me know when you delivered it, oh I can also send the food to nearby stations if your too busy to come all the way back to the pizzeria for example but you can always let me know, don’t worry the location of the station will appear on your phone where and how to get the food”

Eduardo says while handing her a couple of pizzas ready to be delivered.

Stations are places where food and other goods are send to by restaurants, pharmacies, etc. it can either be picked up by a delivery guy or a private person.

“Ohhh, that’s a lot, I probably prefer coming to the pizzeria for now, is there anything else I need to know?”

Etsumi asks calmly.

“No, that’s it for now and try using the Delivery Mode this time, good luck!”

Eduardo says while winking at her and starting to work on the next pizza.

“I will, thank you!”

Etsumi mumbles while turning red again.

She takes the pizzas and stores them on the back of her bike after unlocking it.

“Let’s deliver some warm pizzas for some hungry people!”

As she opens her phone with a curious look on her face a map pops up on the screen with a location of customers and a detailed route to get to them the fastest.

“Ohhh, the nearest person seems to be in one of the parks in the center of the city, it says 8 minutes from here, okay let’s see, Delivery Mode he said”

Etsumi starts to hit the pedals and the bike begins to accelerate quickly but not too fast, a bright smile appears on her face.

“Yippieeeee, here I coomeee!!!”

On her way to the park she sees a lot of animals, bunnies, monkeys, parrots and toucans. They gather in treetops or run on the ground. Fishes that swim through the rivers you can see while riding on the bridges. The point on the map gets closer and she is able to see the park by now.

“That should be the park, let’s see who the lucky one is”

Etsumi thinks to herself.

She sees an open gate that looks like an entry and decides to go through it, as she passes another bridge that leads into the park with water underneath and koi carps in it. Palm trees everywhere and beautiful plants in all colors, a lot of them Etsumi had never seen before, she stops in front of a big lake with a waterfall.

“Wow, how beautiful!”

Etsumi says out loud.

“Yes, isn’t it?”

Coming from an unknown voice next to her.

She flinches and looks to the side where the voice came from.
