Grant Geminus

After shouting at Jason, Grant stands atop the hideout roof while glancing at the streets of Londinium and is surprised to see how it was becoming somewhat peaceful compared to what it was like a couple of days earlier. He notices Yuri looking for him and calls his name out, saying "Hey..." Yuri looks up and Grant continues "Come on up." Yuri complies and makes his way to the roof with help from Grant due to the injuries that he is sustaining.

Reaching the top, Yuri sits beside Grant. Together, the two admire the view of the city's baby blue sky in how it felt like it was a piece of a missing puzzle to a peaceful paradise. Yuri takes out a pack of electric cigarettes and is about to take one out but he closes it and puts it back in his pocket.

Grant noticed this and asked "Never knew you smoked."

To which Yuri answered "I don't... Not anymore... I'm somewhat of a recovering addict..." Yuri pauses for a second before continuing "And besides, you never asked." Grant stares at Yuri was intimidating eyes before he begins chuckling with Yuri also chuckling.

Grant notices something in the distance that was on the road and then asked "Do you mind if I borrow one?"

Yuri answers "Uhhh, yeah sure..." he takes out his electric cigarette box and hands one electric cigarette to Grant, before commenting "I never knew you smoke."

Grant took the electric cigarette and then took his lighter out and lit the electric cigarette which let out a violent spark, Grant says "Here's the thing, I don't." Grant throws the lit electric cigarette at a vehicle driving at high speed that ignites, causing the car to skid into a nearby lake, frightening some pedestrians and shocking a few others. Yuri was shocked at what Grant had done.

The driver exited the car, appearing undamaged. He walked in the lake of water until he reached dry land. He looked up and saw Grant and Yuri and shouted "Hey man, what's your problem?!"

Grant answered "Nothing... it's just that I'm not the one robbing a jewellery store with a stack FAKE diamonds!"

The driver, puzzled, asks "What do you mean, they're fake?" but it was too late for him to realise as pedestrians along with a wandering police drone apprehended the robber to the ground. The rest of the pedestrians talked among others as they were shocked while others were applauding Grant for what he had done. Yuri's expression from shock changed to amazement as to how Grant knew that the driver was a robber.

Yuri accidentally blurted out "I see why Liam looks up to you."

But Grant overheard what Yuri had just said and answered "Well, not exactly."

Puzzled, Yuri asked "Why?"

Grant answered "You see, before I learned about Liam's existence, I was nobody with no friends." Grant reminisces about the time that he and Liam first met "And then, this kid walks up to me and he says with a smile 'hello' and there was me who answered 'what?' to him..." Yuri partially laughs followed by Grant "See? That was me! Such a dumbass... Anyway, he said that he wanted to play with me but I tell him there are other kids to play with but he responded that those friends aren't real friends and I was puzzled by that... and what's where he showed me how those kids in the playground were receiving candy from that one kid."

Young Grant and Liam stand on top of the monkey bars, despite Grant having issues, Liam helped him up, showing their early bond. The pair look as the kids were taking candy from the kid was smirking but seconds later, the other kids parents were calling them, causing the smirking kid to be alone and his expression changes from happy to sad. Grant continues "Never have I ever felt sorry for the poor kid but then..." Young Liam gets off the monkey bars walks up to the lonely kid with a ball of candy but upon seeing this, the kid just slaps it off Liam's hand and runs off. Young Grant runs to Liam who stares at the ball of candy and is about to pick it up.

Grant continues on with the story "After that kid left, Liam wanted to pick it up but I stopped him and instead gave him one of mine, although he was worried it would go to waste..." Grant partially sighs and continues again "So I decided to eat the candy, just to make him happy and it worked..."

The flashback ends. Grant ends the story "So in a way, it's not him that looks up to me. It's more of me looking up to him. He was always happy and whenever there was an obstacle in his way, he would work hard to accomplish that impossible dream... And in my eyes, that something beautiful..." Grant looks at Yuri who begins sobbing, causing Grant to tell him "Hey, pull yourself together!"

Unknown to Grant, Liam overheard the story and he began shedding tears. He never expected Grant to be someone to look up to him as he was always envious of him because of his determination but he became glad when learning that Grant got it from him.
