Chapter 11:
Assassins Who Cleanse Sins Away
I realized that I never explained hunters, and I'm sorry about that! Anyway, here's what you guys need to know about hunters!
Slayers: Slayers are similar to exorcist hunters. The difference is that slayers only use archery weapons. They don't believe in the use of weapons like guns, swords, scythes, and daggers. Slayers also have spiritual powers mainly using them to break spirits from being earthbound. They can exorcist spirits away from what has tied them to be earthbound mostly spirits who refuse to move on. Slayers can see the dead (Spiritual awareness) which is part of their spiritual powers. Unfortunately, vampires have wiped out all of the slayers but those who are related to them either have normal lives or become exorcist hunters instead even some become demon hunters. Some inherited slayers' spiritual powers or spiritual awareness there are even some that have both spiritual powers. The only way possible for one to have the gift is if that person is a descendant of a slayer.
Exorcist Hunters: Exorcist hunters are like slayers they only hunt supernatural beings such as vampires and demons (Werewolves are not on this list due to them being extinct this has been mentioned on Once a Night of The Full Moon). Exorcist hunters only use daggers and guns to defeat vampires and demons. They also only go after actual demons instead of people who are possessed by demons. Exorcist hunters believe that lives are precious and similar to slayers they believe that a human life must be saved no matter what. Most exorcist hunters are priests but they don't have to train as a priest. They are given the option to train as a priest or not it's only up to that person. Exorcist hunters only start training as hunters once they are coming of age. As for now, there have not been any exorcist hunters who are descendants of slayers. You may never know they could be one in the near future.
Demon Hunters: Demon hunters pretty much do what they want they only hunt supernatural and cover their tracks. They use any sort of hunting weapons but they keep an ordinary dagger in case of demon possession they believe people who are possessed shouldn't suffer the consequences of any demon that made them kill or worse. Mainly this is why Slayers and Demon hunters don't get along. Some demon hunters are descendants of slayers but many descendants of slayers aren't hunters at all. Demon hunters can train at an early age but they must go through a process trail once that person is at the age of 13. Underage demon hunters must have an advisor until that person is coming of age. Demon hunters who are adult age don't need an advisor but can have advice from other hunters. They don't have to be human demon hunters can be vampires, witches, or even demons who are half-human. Supernatural beings that are hunters have their humanity and therefore can be accepted as hunters. Vampires and half-demons half-human must wear certain gloves so their weapons can't harm them due to weapons being made of silver.
Demon Hunters and Exorcist Hunters are created by an organization called The Trails. The Trails inform advisors for Hunters and Huntress in training about hunting jobs (Only for demon hunters). The organization can also offer transport keys to demon and exorcist hunters once they are the age of 20. Though advisors can give hunters in training a temporary transport key if needed most in training don't need the key at all. Most demon-hunting advisors are witches and warlocks there hasn't been a human advisor in quite a long time. Demon and exorcist hunters have a pentagon hex tattoo on a part of their body to keep demons from possessing them if a hunter doesn't have the tattoo that hunter can have the hex bracelet, ring, earring, or necklace as an alternative. The Trails are the only ones who can appoint hunters and advisors if a person is hunting without an official title of hunter will be punished by having their memory ease about the supernatural. However, they will let it slide if a hunter or huntress has recommended a person to the organization.
That's all the information about hunting and again I'm so sorry about not giving this information out sooner!
