Are your Parents Bakers, Because You're Cutie Pie? (Part 1)

For once, Risa and Reika both woke up in time to get ready for school with enough time to get ready and eat breakfast. Risa checked her phone and she had unread messages from Noriko, and from a number that was not in her contacts. She opened the mystery number first and quickly realized it was Mei-senpai. She added it to her contacts. The message read, “I will be coming by your house in the AM to walk with you and Reika to school. Please make sure you are ready a quarter to 7. XOXOXOXOXO kissy emoji, heart eyes emoji.”

All the extra emojis coming from Mei-senpai were surprising to Risa who thought of senpai as a mature lady with very little interest in childish things like emojis. Evidently, she was wrong. Maybe there was a lot more cuteness to Mei-senpai than she let on. Risa was definitely looking forward to figuring that out.

While she waited at the kitchen table for Mei to show up she opened the messages from Nori-chan, “I’m super sorry about the way I acted the other day. I don’t know what came over me. I normally wouldn’t do something as lewd as that. I hope you can forgive me for being a complete horny moron. I’ll still see you in the morning before school right? So we can walk together?”

Risa shot a quick reply, “Yeah all three of us will be there around 7 wait for us outside so we aren’t running too late. Also Noriko-chan, It’s ok I almost let you do that to me because I was super into it. We gotta be more careful.”

She got a response back almost instantly, “Three of you?”

“Yeah Mei has been walking with Reika to school so we will all be there in the mornings from now on.”

“Ok…” replied Nori-chan.

Risa was guessing that Noriko was disappointed that they wouldn’t be alone together, but it was probably for the best anyway so Risa could talk to both girls about what was going on. She really hoped that she wouldn’t make anyone upset and that they would both understand her perspective, but she hadn’t convinced herself that it was going to happen that way. She was sure that Noriko would instead become a nervous wreck, run away crying, and that Mei would become indignant, ready to physically fight for Risa’s hand in some kind of old world duel. Ok, the last part was her personal fantasy inspired by a dating sim that she played in middle school, but the point was she doubted that things would be peaceful. She just hoped that the walk to school would not be terribly awkward, especially after the state her sister was in the night before.

Saya came up to Reika and Risa at the table, “Hello ladies, I see that you two are looking lively this morning.”

Both girls gave the bot death glares.

She laughed nervously, “I was totally kidding. Do you feel well enough to go to school Reika? You look half-dead.”

Reika sighed she didn’t realize a hangover was this bad. “Saya, I just need some coffee and an aspirin and I will be ok.”

“On it!” Saya replied, placing a travel mug under the coffee machine and starting it up before going to the restroom and returning with a couple aspirin. She handed it to Reika who swallowed them dry.

Risa texted her sister so Saya wouldn’t hear their conversation, “You look like utter shit nee-chan. You need to make sure that you drink lots of fluids. You're a dry bitch. I hope this taught you a lesson about messing with stuff you shouldn’t”

Reika replied, “Awe thanks, I know I look like hell, but look who is talking right now. You are the queen of this kind of stupid shit telling me to watch it.”

“Exactly, I am the QUEEN of stupid shit meaning, I know how to handle myself so people do not expect or detect all my misadventures. In other words, I do what I want because I can handle it. You, though, are not looking so hot, Nee-chan. Best to leave the stupid shit to the professionals from now on.”

Reika just sent back a “-_-.”

Saya handed Reika her mug full of coffee, and the two headed outside. As Risa swung open the door, she came face to face with Mei-senpai. Their lips were literally a cm apart. Both girls turned beet red while Risa left out an annoyed moan, “Get a room you two. “

Mei looked Risa dead in the face, “Look we have your sister’s blessing. I will call and book one now.” She pulled out her cellphone, Risa took it and put it into the pocket in Mei’s pleated skirt with a light pat with her eyes Risa said “Not today honey”. Mei-senpai pouted which was surprisingly cute, and Risa found herself smiling in response.

Risa adjusted her backpack, and started heading towards Noriko-chan’s house. Mei-senpai looked confused, “Risa, where are we going? There is a faster way if we don’t cross the street over there.”

Risa looked around at the small homes with tan paint and little balconies and courtyards. They were all packed way too close to each other, and streets were narrow. Mei must have been thinking about crossing through the field that was next to the abandoned bot factory. That was a negative, but Reika informed Mei that they would be going on a little detour to pick up Nori-chan. After just a few blocks, the group spotted Noriko-chan standing outside of her house. She waved shyly at the group as Risa ran up to her and the two exchanged their secret handshake. Which was a series of hand claps, fist bumps, and finishing with a hip check. Mei looked green with envy but Reika was throughly unamused.

All the girls but Noriko were engaged in conversation and banter except for Noriko who appeared to be having buckets of fun just tagging along and listening to snarky comebacks between Risa and Reika. Those two were siblings which usually meant no holding back when you were close. As the group entered school, they began to go their separate ways. Reika giving headpats to the younger girls, and Mei-senpai going in for a brief but intimate hug. She winked at Noriko who got flustered then just to spite Mei, linked arms with Risa and escorted her to their classroom. Before they turned a corner, Noriko glared over her shoulder and gave Mei a cold smile as she gripped Risa's arm harder. Mei's face turned red and a victorious smile spread across Noriko’s face.

All Risa could do was roll her eyes. The competitiveness between the two over her was already starting to ramp up. She wondered how bad it would get when she told them she wanted to date them both.

As they entered the class room. The bot teacher clapped excitedly. “It's good to see you back qt class Amane- chan. I heard you had a pretty nasty head injury. Just let me know if you need anything or need to step out for a bit.”

“Thanks sensei, I will. And btw I emailed you the entire semester worth of homework to my school file so I hope you got it.”

The teacher left the classroom briefly to go and confirm assignment receipt. The classroom was immediately lit up in the conversation surrounding Risa's absence. It was starting to really irritate Risa so she did what any crazy person would do and stood on her desk while delivering a loud and slow clap. When all eyes were on her, Risa spoke up in a sarcastic and annoyed tone , “Ok everyone you all are really starting to annoy me with all your stupid theories and accusations. The real reason why I was off is nothing glamorous. I took a pretty nasty spill on my way here and gave myself a brain injury. I wasn't running drugs for the yakuza, fleeing from the cops, or fist-fighting with anyone. I just had a little accident on my hoverboard. Now, can you all just shut-up already, all this talk is making my head hurt.”

Risa jumped down to her chair then the ground and then sat down like nothing happened. The classroom was silent to say the least. So Risa considered that a win. High school kids were so fucking annoying already so she knew that she was not going to have a fantastic time here. Risa shot a quick smile in Noriko’s direction, and she began to blush before averting her eyes and pretending to write something down on a piece of paper. It was really cute seeing Noriko openly becoming flustered. Risa loved herself a shy, and introverted girl as much as any yuri lover.

Perfect, the teacher was beginning to give a lecture on the history of modern day Japan. With zero concern about being caught, Risa settled in for nap time. She literally did not pay attention for even five minutes, but when the teacher asked her a question about the lecture she lifted her head, answered the question correctly and proceeded to go back to sleep. The teacher couldn’t complain since Risa clearly knew about the subject and could answer all the questions.
