Chapter 15

"how is leo doing?!" yuki said, as she is now at his side

Leo is now being rushed to the infirmary, where he will be looked at by the doctors.

"his vital signs are stable, for now." the doctor said, as they arrived

"other people must wait at the side! Move now!" the nurse said, as the medical staff all surround leo

"tell me, how is he?" yuki said

"he might be fine, he just injected project advanced into his system after all. I think.." ken said

"so what is this project advanced that you guys are always talking about?" yuki said

"project advanced is a top secret military project, which involves genetically engineering any person, to forcibly let them evolve, into the next or higher form of specie." ken said

"what?! Is that even possible?!" yuki said

"with the right factors and circumstances, yes, its possible." lica said, as the girls just arrived

"so, what did he say before everything else?" nikki said

"he said that he loves you girls, and that its all for your future together." ken said

"thats so him." nikki said, before she broke into tears

"nikki, we all know him. He will live." sheryl said, assuring her

"wait! Doctor! Hes now going to cardiac arrest!" one of the nurses said, as this also surprised the girls

With that, they then tried to revive leo, with everything that they can.

Then inside leos subconscious..

"where am i?" leo said

There was only white all around, on where he was standing, where he wasnt also wearing anything there.

"looks like we meet again." an entity said

"oh, its you again. So does this mean that im dead?" leo said

"You are now in our presence, which means you are to be judged." another entity said

"yes. so, what do i have to do now?" leo said

"we will ask you 3 questions, please do answer them honestly." an entity said, as leo was surrounded by many glowing lights

"why do you seek power? When you already have all the power any human can dream of?" another entity said

"i seek power, so to protect the ones closest to me. That is my hearts desire." leo said

"so, how would you even use that power? For good? Or evil? Or something else?" an entity said

"i would use it for only 1 thing, and thats to protect my family, and my incoming family." leo said

"now, as you have just reincarnated. Why arent you living the peaceful life you desire? Of all the things you could have done in life, you could have just lived quietly at the side, and forever at the side." another entity said

"if living in peace, with the desired family, is the best life i could live, but only to be tragically destroyed by the krood or anything else, then i would like my current life better." leo said

"even if at any cost?" an entity said

"yes. Even still, as we are a selfish specie ourselves, i would have liked both a peaceful life, even though a bit chaotic it may be." leo said

"so you have made your decision." an entity said

"yes. I shall live as a hero, once more." leo said, seriously

"it seems that you may have your fears, but at least you always see yourself forwards in time." an entity said

"even if carrying the weight of knowledge and wisdom with you, you still choose this path." an entity said

"yes. Im fully aware of my own path, and its pressures." leo said

"but not on how the future will be foretold.. But its no worries right?" an entity said

"i will always find a way out of the problem, even if by force." they all said, before leo smiles on them

"you may now awake, child of man, and know that with great power comes with great responsibility and sacrifice." all the entities said, before everything went white again

Back to reality..

"leo! Please wake up! I cant live a life without you!" lica said, beside his bed, gripping on his hand

The girls were now besides him on his bed, in the infirmary, where he was declared as dead by the doctor.

"leo! Dont leave us!" nikki said, now crying, while touching him

"without you in this world, its all meaningless!" rena said, as she cries while also touching him

"me too! I cant imagine anything without you in it!" sheryl said, as she cries while also touching him

"come back to us leo.. I will be without a family, without you!" miku said, as she cries while holding his hand

"if these girls all see you in high regard, then it might have been worth it." yuki said, before she touches his foot

The general and the medical staff people all were now in sorrow, by the loss of their great leader and hero. But then, something unexpected happened, as his eyes immediately opened and shone, a bright white. All before an electric bursted outwards from him, and affecting only those around him at the time, making all his girls collapse from shock.

"ugh.. Am i back?" leo said, as he sat upright on his bed, seeing all the other people in shock

"yes leo. So, how do you feel now?" ken said, a bit afraid, just like with the medical staff

"yes, and surging with some kind of power within me." leo said

"well, thats good and all, but dont you still have something to do?" ken said

"yes, dont worry. I know." leo said, before he got out of his bed while not disturbing the girls

"arent you going to ask what happened to them?" the nurse said, worried

"they are alright. They will soon wake up, fresh and new. In the meantime, im going." leo said, before he walks towards the window

"where to?" ken said

"to hunt some kroods." leo said, before he jumped out of the window

"wait leo! This is a 10 story stronghold!" ken said, as he ran towards the window, only to see him floating from the ground

"i will be back!" leo said, before he dashes towards the outside

Once outside the stronghold, leo then flew towards the kroods, and manipulated the laser barrier to make it a double whip.

"soldiers! Protect my back!" leo shouted at the soldiers both below and flying above

There were also the elite soldiers in armor, which they were attacking the krood, before they noticed leo in the battlefield.

"is that sir leo?!" one of them said

"enough with the chatter! This is a battlefield!" the team leader said

"y-yes sir!" they all confirmed and began attacking whats behind leo

As leo can manipulate energy, the krood was also surprised that the energy beams from their weapons didnt work on him, and instead made the whip a bit longer with each shot.

"now then, how should i fry you guys?" leo said, before he starts attacking them as well

As all their energy weapons were useless against leo, all that they could do in the end against leo was run back, or run to the side.

"oh no you dont!" leo said, before facing towards the elite soldiers. "soldiers! Go back now! Im gonna use an EMP attack!"

This alarmed the team leader, which then sprung into action.

"all teams! Retreat! Now!" the team leader said, before they all immediately agreed and turn back

"its time." leo said, before he unleashed an EMP attack

As some kroods were also still attacking leo while running, the accumulated energy from all their attacks were used in the EMP attack. The attack was at the speed of sound, where everyone, except those in the stronghold, were then electricuted and paralyzed. Then after unleashing a 7km wide attack, he flew back towards the stronghold, tired.

"ugh.. That was more tiring than i expected." leo said, as he slowly flew back down diagonally

"sir leo! Are you alright?!" the team leader said over the comms

"yes, thanks to your support." leo said, before he lands back to the stronghold

But as leo landed, he almost fell over, and was helped by one of the elite team, back to the base.

"leo! Thank goodness!" ken said, as he was running to them

"how are the girls? And how is everyone?" leo said, as he was now slowly walking back

"the girls are just fine, they are all resting in the infirmary." ken said

"what about everyone?" leo said

"we have some casualties, and some injured ones, but everyone is fine. But leo, i have to ask. What really happened?" ken said

"soon, they will come in hordes over here.." leo said, before he fainted

"leo! Get over yourself! We..." ken was saying something, but he still fainted, after relaxing a bit
