Chapter 124:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
"You are bold, aren't you?" Miko looked at him, surprised. "While people are not coming close and talking behind my back, you came here and isn't standing next to me like its no big deal."
"They are talking behind your back, so I wondered that I should talk in front of you."
"I see." Her expression didn't change. "By the way, how do you know that Kuze-kun is on the rooftop? Are you a friend of his?"
"Yeah, something like that."
As they were talking, the lady in the stall gave them their orders. Both of them took their wallet out of their pockets in unison and gave her the money. They were like brothers and sisters. Miko left as soon as she had paid the money and took her order, leaving behind the thoughtful crowd without a second thought from her side and headed to the stairs.
Miko suddenly stopped while climbing the stairs midway and looked behind to confront the problem that she was just facing. "Its been bothering me for a while, but may I ask why are you following me?"
"What do you mean following you? This staircase can be used by anyone, including me. If you think that I am following you then prove it."
"That makes sense." Miko couldn't argue. He had a point. She started climbing the stairs again, but things were getting awkward. Especially when they crossed the floor with their classes in it.
"Now you are definitely following me."
"How are you so sure? There is another floor after ours. I might have friends there that I want to visit, so still that doesn't prove anything." Again, Miko couldn't argue. But that person didn't leave her side till she reached the rooftop.
"Now, do you have any excuses?" Miko sighed and looked irritated. "Well anyway-" Miko opened the rooftop door before Hiko could open his mouth, admitting defeat. Miko could feel that he was scheming something.
"You know, I do feel a bit guilty, so I am going to tell you. I am here to talk with Kuze about something, so I came here. I hope that satisfies your curiosity."
"I was never curious in the first place. But if that was the case then you could have told me before."
Miko entered the rooftop and went to the back of the storage room.
"Where are you going?" Hiko asked.
"To where Kuze-kun is, its most probably here."
"Ehh? I see you two have a secret hideout."
"Could you not phrase it like that?" Miko sighed. "People might spread rumours. It would damage Kuze-kun's reputation."
"But people are spreading rumours about you two now, what about that?" Hiko asked, trying to ascertain her mindset.
"These rumours will most probably die out after a few days."
"I see."
Miko lead him to the place where Kuze was sitting and reading the book in his hand under the shade. "There is Kuze-kun. Imma stay here so you can go talk to him."
