Lilith, Angel of Evolution

The rotation of the Sarcophagus ribs reached its limit at the moment of Ami's speech. A majestic lightning struck, right at the pointed top of "Fujiyama", redirecting the energy deep inside.

"I, the Sun Guardians and the Self-Defense Forces will definitely fulfill our duty — we’ll protect you from the Darkness penetrating our world! But we need your support! Fight the darkness in your hearts, do not despair and help each other. Together we’ll overcome the Darkness and return the bright Sun over Japan!"

The inhabitants of Japan at first didn’t believe the "alien" voice in their heads and some fantasies about the goddess. But observing what was happening around them, as well as the already manifested mutations of their bodies under the influence of the Abyss, it already seemed natural. The goddess from ancient Japanese legends appeared to save them and asks them for help what they were waiting for in the depths of their souls, and what raised their samurai spirit, long forgotten by many. Ami trusted her own people, believing in them and herself, turning her attention to the roof of the Sarcophagus. It seemed that Yomi was doing well, until the petals of the pyramidal roof suddenly cracked.

"Yomi" Ami quickly descended.

Huge spikes burst out of the cracks, making a passage for themselves. Between the frozen ribs of the umbrella, the glowing eyes of a monstrous creature looked out from the darkness.

"I-izanami?" Ami assumed the worst.

The monster grabbed the bars with its paws and stuck its head out, waving its short white hair and sparkling silver eyes.

"!?"

"Here comes Lilith!" She screamed menacingly, only partly preserving her previous gentle voice.

Lilith destroyed the bars with an effort and began to climb to the surface.

"I won't allow it! Nikkou no nagare! Solar Stream!" Ami raised her hands.

But the Sun didn’t answer. It was either the heavy cloud cover left behind by the tornado, or Ami lacked the power of the magatama, she couldn’t determine.

"The Earth's magnetic field has changed catastrophically!" She finally found the answer.

"I'll have to deal with you myself, hellish spawn!" Ami rolled up her sleeves and gripped the hilt of the Kusanagi tighter.

"Hellish?" Lilith said melodiously, as if her sound vibrations were also enveloped in a special aura. "No, I am a pure creation of nature. The Angel of Evolution. it’s time to end the era of humans and begin a new one! Don't worry, I’ll take care of the Paradise Earth!"

"That will not happen!"

Approaching Lilith's palm reaching towards her, Ami cut it with a swing of her sword, and then ran up her arm towards her head.

"What did you do with Sanno, Takeshi and that foreigner!?" Ami interrogated menacingly, simultaneously cutting her hand.

But Lilith didn’t feel pain and immediately healed the wounds. She clenched her fist and stakes appeared all over her hand at once, Ami had to jump back to dodge.

"My failed husband is here." Lilith pointed to the heart. "Right inside me with the others. They’re very happy here in the womb of the mother of evolution… do you want to join?"

"I think I’ll refuse!" Ami approached the head, raising Kusanagi.

Lilith took a breath and with a wild roar with an air shock wave pushed Ami away. She mechanically reached for the umbrella to repel the attack, forgetting that it was no longer with her. The girl was thrown hundreds of meters away, smashed into a multi-story building.

"That's it, demigoddess, know your place."

Lilith climbed to the surface, but continued to crawl on all fours, adapting to the gravity field of the Earth, and also feeling weak here.

The absorbed consciousnesses of Mikhail, Keshita, Miku and Biku with the others traveled through their memories of the past, smoothly, albeit unnaturally, flowing into their imagined happy future. Like in a dream.

In it, Keshita married Miku, and she in turn made a great discovery in biology, earning her parents' pride. Democracy came to Russia, and Mikhail finally proposed to Lilia, and they settled on the embankment in Moscow, living with their children. Biku was able to save Miku and returned victorious to Itsuki and Jan. Everything was wonderful for them to the point of nausea.

Lilith couldn’t cope with controlling such many minds in herself, as well as the newly penetrated thoughts of other people from Tokyo and almost all corners of the planet. Their pain, experiences and fears drove her crazy, and Lilith vomited an incomprehensible substance. But she still overcame it and rose to her feet.

Meanwhile, in the Abyss, one living being managed to hide from Lilith's gaze, who had swallowed, as it seemed to her, absolutely everyone. The head of the monk, together with the consciousness of the bandit, fought for control over the head, lying near the torii of the destroyed temple on a small island of land.

"This is my head, infidel!" The monk shouted.
"No, mine! It was attached to my body!" The bandit objected.
"The main thing is the soul, and it’s stored in the mind!"
"Shut up, otherwise we’ll both die here."
"At least we agree on something… A truce?"
"Has Buddha finally descended upon you?"
"I only believe in Shinto gods?"
"That thing is your goddess too?"
"N-no… It burst forth from the bottom of this abyss, is it possible…"
"Then we must go there too!" The bandit concluded, extending his tongue and slowly dragging the head to the edge.
"S-stop! We don't know what's there——"

The titanic Angel Lilith approached the building where Ami had fallen, in order to finish her off once and for all. She stuck her hand into the hole in the building, but it was suddenly pierced by the Kusanagi sword. Lilith pulled her hand back, Ami ran out of the crack and attacked again, aiming for the eyes, but Lilith used her hand to defend again. Ami extended Kusanagi and went down, pulling the sword back, and then wrapped it around Lilith's legs.

"What are you going to do? I don't care about anything! Stop jumping like a flea!" Lilith said menacingly and at the same time melodically, bending and attacking with her hand.

"Even small bugs can be dangerous, you didn't know?" Ami grinned, setting the Kusanagi chain in motion.

The scaly blades lengthened and quickly moved like cicada wings, cutting the legs and the ground around them. Before Lilith could reach Ami, she fell chest-deep into the underground subway. At the last moment, Ami pulled out the chain and wrapped it around Lilith's neck.

"Who are you!? What happened in the Abyss!?" Ami questioned.

"As I said, I am Lilith, the Angel of Evolution! I’ll create Paradise on Earth!"

"These are your last words!" Ami launched the chain.

Blood splattered in all directions, splashing the cracked streets, buildings, and cars red. Ami dodged the streams of blood to avoid accidentally becoming infected, although she was confident in her "immunity."

When she returned Kusanagi to its sword form, the blood flowed backwards, gathering with the scattered shreds in her neck.

"It's useless… you can't kill a child of God." Lilith smiled madly as her neck connected to her body.

She quickly extended her arm, grabbing Ami in a deadly embrace with her giant fingers. The sound of bones cracking was heard, Ami cried out in pain throughout her body.

Climbing out of the hollow, Lilith lifted Ami's lifeless body into the sky and solemnly declared.

"The Great Sacred Goddess Amaterasu Oomikami has fallen!"
