Fable 1 - lambs awakening

A young boy opens his eyes to another day of his normal life in his sub-par home. His name is Quint Possi and he is a 15 year old boy with black hair and white eyes, he has a small scar on his neck from a incident in his past and looks as lazy as ever as he prepares his breakfast for the day ahead.

After he ate his normal everyday breakfast consisting of bread and some tomato soup he walks down the same alleyway as always to a run down bar where old adventurers hang out and reminisce on their journeys. But to Quint they’re all just a bunch of hooligans living off of the work of others and claiming their glory as their own so they can feel good about them selves.

Before Quint could begin his mundane work as a bar tender for the people he considered old foolish men he was tackled as he went to go into the back room by a young girl with blonde long hair and cerulean eyes with an obnoxious grin on her face.

“Quint you took forever you lazy idiot I almost missed our traditional morning tackle” the young girl said with a playful tone and mischievous grin. While quint could only look on at his ‘friend’ in annoyance as he hated this tradition of hers.

This young girl full of hopeless optimism is Alpha, she is a cat girl and somehow an A-rank Soul Bonder, what is a soul bonder you ask well it’s someone blessed by their heart and granted a power their heart aligns with. Their job is to explore and protect but Alpha prefers just to mess with Quint then do her important job as the village of niap’s adventurer group’s leader and strongest soul-bonder…

“Get off and go do your job Alpha, better yet let me do mine” Quint said with his clear distaste for her presence while he lifted a stamp with a crescent carved symbol on its bottom and pushing it against Alpha forehead marking her with the red ink on the stamps bottom.

“My beautiful face! Wait no your trying to mark me as yours so I guess it’s fine~” Alpha remarked with initial shock but a following teasing tone like she had done hundreds of times in the past

“No I’m not you miserable pervert” Quint said with pure annoyance while rolling his eyes, he had never seen the purpose of loving another person in this world especially what others would see in him as he was just… ordinary and mundane

“How about you join us today then we need someone with your level of intelligence” Alpha said with a useful smile with her determination unwavering at Quint’s constant refusal

“No I won’t go on a pointle-“ Quint said with a blunt tone before being cut off by his boss saying calmly for him with a grin “he’ll join you lot as I don’t need a helping hand today and I don’t want this boy wasting his talents in a run down swamp like my tavern”

With a wide grin and eyes full of glee Alpha dragged Quint off at high speeds due to her species natural talent for running and her strength granted by her Soul Bond

The only thing Quint could think off as he was dragged across the towns lanes and the vibrant planes of the nearby fields was ‘this is going to be a pain in my ass…’

The story shall continue to unfold but do not fret I shall give hints to the next part of this fable
