Chapter 11:
Veil of the Shadow Hunter
-The sun had begun its descent, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple as Leegna wrapped up his work for the day. The familiarity of the village, coupled with the warmth of his reunion with Stina, had provided a temporary solace. However, the tranquility was abruptly disrupted as he made his way home.
-A man, cloaked in an air of disheveled urgency, approached him with a furtive glance. His clothes were worn and his eyes darted about nervously, as if he were constantly on the lookout for something—or someone.
"Leegna, wait!" the man called out, his voice laced with an edge of desperation.
-Leegna paused, his curiosity piqued. "Can I help you?"
The man's gaze flitted nervously around before he leaned in closer. "I need to talk to you. It's about Enzok"
Leegna's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Kenzo's name. "What about him?"
-The man's voice dropped to a whisper. "I know this might sound strange, but there's something you need to know. The person who was really there for you... it wasn't who you thought."
Leegna's brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"The truth is," the man continued, glancing around to ensure no one was eavesdropping, "Enzok had his own hidden agenda. He wasn't just a mentor—he was part of something much bigger. And whatever you think you know about him... it's only a fraction of the truth."
Leegna felt a chill run down his spine. "What are you talking about? Kenzo was always there for me."
The man's expression grew somber. "Enzok's departure, his sudden absence—it was part of a larger plan. There are forces at play that you're only beginning to understand. His leaving wasn't just a matter of fate or circumstance. It was orchestrated, and it has deeper implications."
Before Leegna could respond, the man's gaze shifted nervously once more, and he took a step back. "I'm not the only one who knows. Be cautious—there are eyes watching, and the truth is more complex than you realize. Enzok's secret... it's something you need to uncover on your own."
With that cryptic message, the man turned and hurried off into the twilight, leaving Leegna standing in stunned silence. The day's earlier comfort seemed to dissolve, replaced by an unsettling sense of dread.
Leegna's mind raced as he replayed the man's words. Enzok's sudden departure, his role as a mentor—what if there was more to it than he had ever suspected? The pieces of the puzzle that had once seemed so clear were now shrouded in ambiguity and suspicion.
As he walked home, the shadows of the evening seemed to deepen, mirroring the growing uncertainty within him. The revelation of Enzok's hidden agenda hinted at a web of deception that extended far beyond what he had imagined. The secrets that Enzok had kept, the true nature of his departure—these were questions Leegna could no longer ignore.
In the solitude of his room, Leegna stared at the ring on his finger, its presence now a constant reminder of the mysteries he was entangled in. The world around him, once familiar and safe, had become a landscape of hidden truths and uncharted territory.
The chapter of his life that had seemed so straightforward now felt like a complex narrative with hidden layers. The truth about Enzok was out there, and finding it would require unraveling secrets that had been carefully concealed.
-This was the first time that Leegna wanted to take action and move forward , so waited for midnight ,so he could call Yuj, even though that was the last resort he had to do so.
Too much questions , no answers , he felt like a little toy, a fool in the adult world full of lies
