Chapter 14

The first skill you get may seem random, because it is. 

However, depending on ones lifestyle and how one uses their first skill they, may unlock more skills or upgrade the skills they already have. 

The reason why the first skill is so important is because certain skills are almost impossible to attain. For instance, hollow heart,heart of the devourer, Flame blooded, thunder blooded, frost blooded and lastly false hearted. 

Getting a skill of such rarity will basically pave someones future. 

Simply using carrier will upgrade it to courier. But I want to attain a specific one , savage heart. It basically just makes me a better punching bag. However it can be upgraded to beast heart which will give me access to the beastial arts. 

Why am I planning this? Every white mage has to take an oath to never use their magic to harm any living being. Hold up, I think I can pull up that oath. 

"I hereby swear by my blood, heart, flesh and bone that from this day on I [insert name here] shall never use my gifts from the great beyond to lay harm to any child of any realm. My hands are tools of mending and shall never be used to deliver any form of malice, lust, wrath or greed with my arcane prowess. I will treat my patients to the out most of my abilities to ensure their well being and I will fulfill my duty to my better judgement even when threatened by outside forces. I hereby vow, by the name of my family, that as long my heart beats in my chest, my blood flows through my flesh, my flesh clings to my bone and my bone does not wither to dust, all patients under my protection are as safe as in a mothers care."

Pretty cool right? I probably had a copy of the original oath of hospiz from ancient  greece laying around somewhere in my room but I couldn't be bothered to find it. Besides, that oath restricts you from all harm, the one I came up with restricts harm through magic. 

Back to the point. I will have to rely on skills to deal damage and while the beastial arts count as a branch of magic, I can use those arts for body cultivation. White mages are allowed to strengthen their own bodies using magic and beat someones ass, and body strengthening techniques are the foundation of the beastial arts. 

However, getting savage heart might be a bit complicated. Since I will have to be indomitable. 

In simple terms: I will have to become a lot more violent. 

Anyhow, I found my target.

Should these books really be available to all students?

Introduction into necromancy, necromancy 101, advanced necromancy. Eldritch monoliths for beginners, how to harness the great beyond, Deep speech for dummies, how to feed the darkness, that last one has the dark lord as the author! 

Is it really okay to let any student read these? And why wasn't this brought up in the novel! Wait, wasn't there a running gag that all the antagonists learnt the forbidden arts through books from libraries?

"It's been a while."

I turned around and saw a guy, no idea who he is. 

Brown hair that isn't exactly short but not long either. He is kinda tall I guess, five eleven or something. He is wearing a brown great coat, which he didn't bother to button which leads to me seeing his green shirt underneath. He also has brown pants on and- oh hey we're wearing the same kind of boots.

"... you are?"

"Don't tell me you don't remember?"

Shit shit shit shit! She had a friend? Malebria you bitch why have you never mentioned your friend? 

Pretending to know while not knowing is the best way to dig your own grave, so I'm gonna be honest.

"I'm sorry but a lot has happened so I hope you can forgive me for not remembering?"

"Yeah whatever, check this out."

He took his backpack and threw it at my face. Before I knew it I was floating in a white empty void. I looked around, yep, nothing here. It is just me, and my thoughts. 

Would Malebrias skill activate while being in a pocket dimension? Probably. 

But would it leak outside of the space? Maybe, maybe not. 

What if I just stayed here? would that save the world? Perhaps.

What just happened? 

"Yo."

There he is, here I am, but where?

"Here."

He gave me three books, dark cultivation, superior mana control and to live. 

To live? Seriously?

"What am I supposed to do with written depression?"

"Malebria doesn't know what to live is."
