Chapter 10:

Twisted History

Crancrse: The Heaven's Vengeance

"In human history, the story is very different. Their fear and jealousy of us were never recorded in their history. What exists instead is the doctrine they spread, placing the Akatara Clan as the 'main villains.' They never mentioned the real rebellion. The rebellion recorded in their history was not the act of pure humans, but a resistance led by members of the Akatara Clan who were born without inheriting any powers."

"Yes, they were the ones who were humiliated and considered no longer part of the clan. In human historical records, their existence can't be denied. Since the first generation of the Akatara Clan, at least five to ten children were born as ordinary humans, and that number continued to grow each year."

"Initially, they were still accepted as part of the royal family. However, over time, the palace became filled with family branches that didn't inherit the powers or traits of the Akatara. Eventually, they were expelled from the kingdom and regarded as ordinary humans. A small number remained in the palace, but only as laborers."

"Humans were positioned as the party free from sin. The conflict was narrated as the arrogance of the Banished Akatara who refused to become human. However, among them, there were still some who didn't mind their status. Even so, it didn't mean they were completely free from resentment against the pure Akatara. The Banished Akatara who appeared good in the eyes of humans actually harbored hidden intentions."

"At that time, Akatara were revered as gods by humans. However, the deceitful actions of some Banished Akatara marked the beginning of a shift in human perception, as they started to view the Akatara as devils. One of the tragic events occurred during a banquet at the Red Akatara Palace. The royal family became the target of the Banished Akatara. They poisoned the food served by human workers in the palace. The victims of this incident were a toddler and his mother, who were the beloved child and wife of the king."

"The Red Akatara Clan didn't have the ability to neutralize the poison, as their powers were focused solely on physical matters. As the oldest family among the other Akatara, they had great tolerance toward humans and the Banished Akatara, which ultimately made them complacent. It’s true, not all the Banished Akatara in the Red Akatara Palace were expelled. However, there is one story about a Banished Akatara who still harbored resentment because his fiancée was demoted to a commoner."

"On that day, the King of the Red Akatara lost his sanity. In a blind rage, he destroyed everything in front of him. He felt no need to search for the culprit—everyone who served in the palace, both humans and Banished Akatara, were slaughtered mercilessly. This event changed history forever. News of the murder of the King of the Red Akatara's family spread throughout the other Akatara kingdoms."

"The King of the Red Akatara became a symbol of oppression against humanity. From there, the human rebellion began, leading the Akatara Dynasty toward destruction. It is said that the King of the Red Akatara's bad temper at that time often made him lose patience, even over trivial matters. He once accidentally insulted the king of another Akatara clan, and sure enough, this misunderstanding sparked a war between the Akatara clans. At least, that’s how humans recorded their history."

"As you have heard, Sakti, in human historical records, it is said that the period we consider the golden age of the Akatara Dynasty was actually a time of great chaos. The Akatara clans fought each other to become the most dominant, creating a conflict they referred to as a highly destructive civil war."

"The war destroyed the earth, ruining the beauty that had been built by the first ancestors of the Akatara. What had been repaired became meaningless in the hands of their descendants. The Akatara clans, with powers equal to that of gods, fought each other with balanced intensity, causing the war to last for a very long time."

"Humans, weak and helpless creatures, became nothing more than small pebbles in the midst of the great storm of the Akatara clans conflict. They were used as living shields by the Akatara. With the extraordinary power possessed by each clan, the war brought the earth to the brink of destruction."

"However, amidst this chaos, there was one Akatara clan that was different. This clan was deeply connected to nature and honored the achievements of their first ancestors. When destruction struck, this clan chose to take heroic action, attempting to restore what had been shattered."

"The ancestors of the Akatara had shown genuine affection for humans for centuries. However, seeing humans now becoming victims of the superiority of the Akatara, the Magenta Akatara clan finally decided to stand tall in defense of the oppressed, before the other Akatara clans destroyed the earth even further."

"Not all of the Akatara clans are depicted as tyrants. The Magenta Akatara clan, which was actually the most tragic victim of humanity's barbarism, is ironically portrayed as heroes by them. However, the true story is far from the narrative they have spun."

"As I have told you before, for centuries, the Magenta Akatara clan was forced to bear hundreds, even thousands, of children with humans. But to cover up this shameful historical disgrace, humans have twisted the facts."

"The love and care of the Magenta Akatara clan had truly saved humanity from destruction caused by the wars between the Akatara clans fighting for dominance."

"Ironically, humans used this narrative to create the most disgusting lie ever told."

"In the history they wrote, it is said that the Magenta Akatara clan collaborated with the Violet Akatara clan to repeat the achievements of their ancestors. Together, these two clans are portrayed as heroes who marked the turning point in humanity's resistance against the tyranny of the Akatara Dynasty."

"The Magenta Akatara clan made tremendous sacrifices in human history. In order to fight against the god-like power of the other Akatara clans, they decided to pass on their special powers to humans."

"At that time, the Magenta & Violet Akatara clan was the smallest in population. This was due to persecution based on racism carried out by the other Akatara clans simply because of their physical appearance, which was considered impure."

"Due to their insufficient numbers to face the other clans, the Magenta Akatara clan, with the help of the Violet Akatara clan, who possessed the ability to manipulate spirits, eventually decided to separate their spirits from their physical bodies. The spirits would then merge with the spirits of humans, allowing their power to be passed down through that bond."

"In this world, it is believed that there exists an entity in the form of a spirit that resides in the vital organs of every living being. The heart is considered the place where the spirit dwells, due to the vast number of blood vessels within it. This belief leads to the notion that blood originates from there. The function of blood, which circulates life throughout the body, is believed not only to carry essential substances but also to carry the trace of the spirit itself. Every heartbeat and every flow of blood throughout the body serves as a reminder that life is not only about the physical body, but also about a deeper entity—the spirit that resides within the heart."

"The Magenta clan ultimately merged with humans, marking the end of the Magenta Akatara clan as a physical entity. This is the story of the inheritance of elemental power from the Magenta Akatara clan to humanity."

"Humans deceitfully manipulated history, creating a false tale of heroism written on paper stained with the blood of our kin."

"Humans have now gained elemental powers, and although they can engage in large-scale resistance, despite the Akatara clans being divided, they are still very difficult to defeat. In truth, the Magenta and Violet Akatara clans never intended to directly call upon humans to fight."

"The elemental power inherited by humans can't be mastered in a short period of time, especially since only a handful of people received this blessing. At that time, the Magenta Akatara clan had fewer than 100 members—actually, their number was not much different from that of the other clans. However, as I’ve mentioned before, a Master can defeat more than three people in a single attack. Thus, the number of humans needed to face the Akatara Dynasty would have to be in the hundreds of thousands."

"Of course, the intent and purpose of the Magenta and Violet Akatara clans was to allow the human super-population to develop first."

"This part of the story in human history is quite disturbing and hard to believe. It is said that in order to accelerate the development of the human super-population, the Violet Akatara clan helped humans by manipulating the process of childbirth. Simply put, every marriage would result in many seeds, but not all of the seeds would successfully develop into babies. Typically, only one seed would succeed in becoming a baby. However, with the power of the Violet Akatara clan, they could control the spirit residing within the seed and enhance the potential of the birth. It is said that within just one year, humans could produce about 200 babies, as each woman could give birth to up to five sets of twins."

"Look at how humans try their best to evade the shame of their sins."

"In our history, it is said that humans once fought for one hundred days. But according to the humans, this never happened. Humans never had the chance to resist. This occurred because, a few days after the Magenta Akatara clan sacrificed themselves to merge with humans, the other Akatara clans discovered the alliance. Thanks to the spirits of the Violet clan members who were constantly spying, they had time to give humans a chance to find a safer place, to protect their super-human offspring."

"From there, the super-humans continued to flee from the Akatara’s pursuit, until they finally reached the Outer World, where they met Ajina Dala, increasing their population there while forming a resistance force for the future."

"Humans tell the story that the Violet, Indigo, and Red clans were wiped out due to the Akatara Civil War. But in the end, members from these clans reappeared one by one before the world, making their descendants question the history that had been written."

"They take great pride in having it, yet feel immense shame about how they came by it."

"Such is the history from the human perspective. All the stories I’ve told you take place between the years 0 and 1300. History after that is another story, one that includes new main figures like Ajina Dala, the Orange Akatara clan, and a great figure who has almost been forgotten by the world, Cora."

"This is the history that will eventually lead to the birth of the Blood Curse creatures, a great terror for life on Earth to this day. These immortal creatures exist in every second we live, the eternal curse beings. They can't be eradicated, can't be understood, can't be avoided, and can't be not feared. No matter how hard we try, we will always live in their fear—creatures that live in every breath we take, waiting, lurking, and threatening our existence."

"The world knows them as:
