Chapter 12:
Crancrse: The Heaven's Vengeance
"Akatara, a race endowed with powers beyond reason, so superior that no other being could rival them. Yet, why did they fall? Why were they defeated by humans, who were only superior in number, and Ajina Dala, who had only just begun to know advanced civilization?"
"The most logical answer is division. Before the year 1000, among the Akatara clans themselves, there were those who were ostracized: the Indigo and Violet Clans. Meanwhile, the Orange Clan kept its distance from their own kin. Their absence created a significant gap in the Akatara Dynasty. Had these three clans remained united, with their powers of matter, soul, and mind, they could have created a giant golem, enough to cripple the humans who at the time were only armed with stones and metal."
"But what about the other clans? Those who controlled Energy, Elements, Biology, Style, Space, and Time. Is it believable that they couldn't do anything when the invasion happened in just one night? This was the result of negligence. Humans were considered lower than wild snakes, unworthy of being a threat. No one accounted for the emergence of a new enemy like Ajina Dala."
"In the end, Akatara reaped misfortune. In their most vulnerable moment, during the ruler's inheritance ritual, taking place second by second, they were trapped in a powerless situation. And all of this was the result of their own division."
"Had the nine Akatara Clans lived in harmony, their fall would have been impossible. One need not imagine what kind of scenario they could have presented to the world. However, the superiority that had become tradition and their misunderstanding of their own powers were the main reasons why this mightiest of races was humiliatingly defeated. Akatara had to suffer for hundreds of years in dungeons. However harmonious a relationship may be, it is impossible for it to not be struck by the storm of discord."
"That division happened again when the newly reborn Akatara Dynasty emerged, with the Orange Akatara at the forefront. It all began on the Island of Valchar, the hiding place of the Ajina. And at the end of this tale, the name Crancrse will be etched in history. The continuation of this story will also lead us to the laws that bind our special powers."
"Secretly, the Green and Yellow Akatara knew how the Orange Akatara had escaped centuries of torment by humans. If anyone thought they didn’t harbor hatred, that was a lie. But what could they do? Their numbers still pale in comparison to the Orange Akatara, who had now become the dominant residents of the New Akatara Dynasty. In the end, they could only remain silent, following every command of the Orange Akatara, as it was the best choice while their race was still at odds with other races."
"As mentioned before, a group of humans kidnapped the Ruler of the Magenta Akatara and took them to the Island of Valchar. A special force from the New Akatara Dynasty immediately gave chase, consisting of dozens of Orange Akatara along with several Yellow and Green Akatara. However, it was there that the oddities began. Their special abilities seemed to vanish. There was no unique sight they could normally see. The Yellow Akatara could still open space portals to shorten distances, but they couldn’t insert humans into them. The Orange Akatara, with all their power, found their attacks unable to cause even the slightest injury to the enemy. In the end, they were forced to pursue the humans by ship."
"However, that doesn’t mean the Akatara were completely incapable of disturbing humans. The power of the elements was in the hands of the humans, which is why the Akatara couldn’t simply create waves to sink their ships. But they found another way. Two portals were opened, connecting the surface of the water near the human ships with huge waves coming from another direction. In an instant, the ships were violently shaken, tossed and turned, and the panicked humans were forced to swim to the nearest island. Of course, that was the Island of Valchar."
"They boarded ships from the northern land of Valchar Island, and because the distance was short, they eventually stranded there. Humans rushed into the island, leaving the ships drifting along the shore. The northern coast of Valchar greeted them with golden sand and waves crashing, breaking the silence. The sea breeze carried the sharp scent of salt, mixed with the smell of wet wood from the wrecked ships."
"In the distance, the chalk cliffs rose high, like a natural fortress protecting the island from the outside world. Seabirds flew across the twilight sky, occasionally diving to catch fish from the water’s surface. The beach vegetation began to appear between the rock crevices, with bushes and wild olive trees growing here and there, offering some shade for those who had just arrived."
"They continued to run, crossing the long, sandy shoreline, searching for shelter behind trees or hidden caves behind the hills. Some fell onto the sand, exhausted, with panic taking over them. They didn’t know who controlled the land or what awaited them in the interior. However, one thing was certain, this island would witness the inevitable historic reunion."
"Before many of them could venture deeper into the island, they were suddenly met with hostility. Dozens of strange creatures, part beast, dressed like humans, guarded the entrance to the forest near the shore. Terrified humans turned around, running back toward the beach, unaware that the Akatara were already waiting for them there."
"The humans panicked, trapped between two threats. But why had they been running without fighting? The answer was clear. They weren’t superhumans, just ordinary people from the human kingdom. Even more bizarre was how these powerless people managed to capture the Magenta Akatara, not the superhumans?"
"In reality, they did it in a reckless way. While the superhumans were still fighting against the Akatara Alliance, this group of ordinary humans sneaked through the shadows. They took Magenta away at the cost of many lives. But luck didn’t always favor them. Not long after they moved away from the superhuman territory, the Akatara Alliance found them."
"Humanity experienced a fate similar to the Akatara. Some were born with special powers, while others had nothing and became victims of discrimination. Now, the ordinary humans trapped on Valchar Island faced the bitter reality. Surrounded on two sides, they were forced to negotiate for survival."
"However, their intention to make peace was met with brutality. The Orange Akatara attacked without hesitation. This time, their powers worked against the ordinary humans, unlike before. There were laws that limited the Akatara's powers, but no one realized this at the time. What they knew was that the blood of these weak humans stained the sand."
"In the midst of the chaos, they found a teenage girl with long, disheveled hair. Her physical features strongly resembled that of an Akatara. An Orange Akatara approached her, but suddenly the stone the girl was hiding behind began to tremble. In an instant, the stone transformed into a large black creature with two lobster-like claws."
"The creature lifted the Magenta girl, shielding her with its giant body. From within the island, the sound of growling filled the air. A pack of wild beasts emerged from behind the trees, forming a battle formation. They stood firm in front of the Akatara and the humans, ready to turn this hunt into a merciless fight."
"The humans could only sit in fear, while the Akatara also formed an attack formation. However, once again, the special vision they usually had did not appear as it did when they slaughtered humans before. The Akatara were not only startled by this phenomenon, but also by the sight of the wild beasts beginning to transform into half-human forms. The markings on different parts of their bodies revealed their true identities. With pride, these wild creatures called themselves the Ajina!"
"Unlike the humans, who were shocked by the sudden appearance of the Ajina, the Akatara felt a slight panic and unease, as their abilities refused to activate in the presence of the Ajina. Even so, they tried to maintain an air of control. They demanded that the Ajina hand over Magenta Akatara immediately, or they would burn the island to the ground. However, unexpectedly, the Ajina were far more amicable than they had anticipated. They explained to the Akatara that their past conflict had only happened because they had been dragged into the humans’ affairs. Now, they realized that hatred only led to destruction. They desired peace. The expressions on the faces of the Green and Yellow Akatara clearly showed their disbelief at the Ajina’s words, yet they began to show interest in the idea."
"The Ajina then asked both the humans and the Akatara about their goals for the future."
"The Akatara answered that their goal was to reunite with their kin who had suffered for centuries, while also stripping away the elemental inheritance that had unlawfully flowed into human bodies."
"The humans finally responded with an unexpected revelation—the Ruler of Magenta Akatara, whom the Ajina had captured, actually did not possess the ability to strip away the inheritance. More precisely, it was not that she lacked the power—rather, she simply did not know how. It was the result of living for centuries without ever understanding her own identity. A truth that could not be denied."
"It was like someone born with normal legs, but if their legs had been bound since birth, they would not immediately know how to walk once released. The same was true for the Ruler of Magenta Akatara—born with power, yet shackled by ignorance."
"The Akatara were stunned, shocked by this revelation, though some still doubted its truth, suspecting the humans of twisting the facts. However, the Ruler of Magenta Akatara herself confirmed it, even though she still did not fully understand who she truly was."
"Humans, in the despair that had consumed their lives, expressed a single, simple request: peace. These were ordinary humans, exhausted by a life constantly overshadowed by unending wars—all caused by the superhumans. They did not mind being ruled by either the Ajina or the Akatara, as long as they were not treated as slaves. They only wished to live in peace, far from division and war."
"However, the Akatara remained steadfast in their belief that the power coursing through human blood was an unlawful inheritance that had to be stripped away. Even with the bitter truth revealed—that the Ruler of the Magenta Clan did not know how the inheritance worked—they still felt safer if she was on their side, under their watchful eye."
"The Ajina, who had been involved in the debate from the beginning, finally distilled the essence of both sides’ desires. Humans only wanted peace, a normal life, free from war. Meanwhile, the Akatara were still shackled by their ambition to dominate other races. Thus, the Ajina proposed a solution that seemed the most fair for all parties."
"The Ajina suggested that the Akatara Ruler live with them, separated from the rest of his clan to prevent further conflict. They believed that with the Ruler at their side, they could negotiate with the Akatara to curb their radical use of power, while also ensuring that the humans maintained their peaceful stance. A seemingly wise and balanced resolution."
"Some of the Akatara, particularly those from the Green and Yellow factions, immediately accepted this proposal. The perplexing events and ongoing tension had made them realize it was time to put an end to the endless war. They were weary, and this offer of peace gave them hope for a more tranquil future."
"However, not everyone accepted it easily. Some Akatara, especially those from the Orange faction, strongly opposed the idea. The memories of the past, the wounds inflicted by humanity, were still fresh in their minds. They recalled every betrayal, every transgression that humans had committed against them. Yet, for those who chose peace, the answer was clear: ‘The Akatara race has done the same. It is time to stop blaming each other.’"
"The opposition eventually agreed to the peace proposal on one condition: all superhumans had to be exterminated, leaving only ordinary humans as the sole trustworthy group. Some common humans hesitated, while others immediately supported the idea. However, the Ajina, who had sharper instincts, sensed the stench of vengeance in those who wished to eradicate their own kind. Firmly, the Ajina rejected this condition, stating that they would not accept any terms that involved violence against another group."
"Behind their rejection lay a cunning tactic from the Ajina, designed to provoke the emotions of the opposition, which was dominated by the Orange Akatara. They knew that the Orange Akatara remained stubborn, unwilling to make peace with other races. This was a crucial moment, where their actions would determine the future of everyone involved."
"With an agreement finally reached, representatives from both sides stepped forward to shake hands, a symbol of the peace that now lingered in the air. But that was when tragedy struck. The representative of the Orange Akatara, who had seemingly agreed to the treaty, suddenly drew a hidden blade from his sleeve and plunged it into the chest of the Magenta Akatara Ruler, piercing through and striking an Ajina man standing behind him."
"A loud cry burst from the attacker's lips, spoken in a language only the Orange Akatara could understand: ‘The answer is the Mask!’ In an instant, the Ajina lunged forward, tearing the perpetrator apart without mercy. The incident ignited chaos, with the attacker's subordinates swiftly retreating toward their ships. Before their departure, they manipulated the sand on the shore, transforming it into quicksand that swallowed anyone who dared to pursue them."
"Although the Akatara had split into two factions—opposition and affirmation—most still followed the will of the Orange Akatara, rendering the affirmation faction unable to act effectively. Amid the turmoil, one of the Yellow Akatara, who supported the affirmation side, opened a spatial portal beneath the ships, transporting most of their vessels and war equipment onto solid ground. The battle erupted instantly."
"The Ajina were far more numerous than anticipated, and they managed to decimate nearly the entire enemy force aboard the ships. Only a handful escaped, hastily fleeing through a spatial portal that led directly to the new headquarters of the Akatara Dynasty. Meanwhile, those stationed in the waters also made a swift retreat, using spatial portals to evade the near-certain annihilation that awaited them."
"Corpses lay scattered across the shore, turning the golden beach into a blood-soaked battlefield. The Orange Akatara believed they had succeeded in eliminating the Magenta Clan’s Ruler—the last remaining leader. The Green Akatara, gifted with the ability to heal damaged tissue, fought desperately to save her. Yet, the Orange Akatara had corrupted the victim’s heart using matter manipulation channeled through their blade. A deep sorrow washed over the Green Akatara; their extraordinary power was useless this time."
"However, reality proved to be far different from what they expected. The humans had lied. Amidst the bloodstained sand, a ritual to appoint a new Ruler was performed in secrecy. A toddler, glowing with the distinct light of the ceremony, appeared within seconds. In less than fifteen seconds, the child collapsed, unconscious. The deception of humanity had saved the Magenta Akatara Clan from extinction."
"Now, the name of the Orange Akatara was forever tarnished. Once revered as a noble clan, they were now seen as nothing more than radical extremists. The New Akatara Dynasty was no longer perceived as a nation of honor but as a fascist regime. The Orange Akatara had gone too far, rejecting peace in favor of brutality against other races. They had strayed far from the principles laid down by Hizashi Genshō, who had once fought for the freedom of the Akatara while still seeking peace with others."
"The Green Akatara, holding firm to their beliefs, dared to swear that Hizashi was never the monster his descendants had become. He was a leader who thought critically, who sought not only to secure the rights of his people but also to respect the rights of others. Hizashi was the one who had led the New Akatara Dynasty to its golden age, elevating them from mere guerrilla warriors into a respected nation. His ultimate goal had been to forge closer ties with the races they had once conquered. But just as this golden era was within reach, Hizashi was murdered, and his death was concealed by conspirators within his own ranks."
"From that moment on, the New Akatara Dynasty became a shadow of its former self. What was once a people fighting for freedom had become a regime drowning in tyranny. Now, they justified every cruelty in the name of honoring their first ancestor, whom they had elevated to the status of a god. Everything was done for Gold, Glory, and God—a twisted ideology that obscured the truth in the endless pursuit of power."
"The Ajina were consumed by fury, enraged by the cruelty of the Akatara, and sought to exterminate them all—without distinguishing between the opposition and the affirmation. But amidst this impending bloodshed, a high-ranking figure among them managed to suppress the storm of wrath. With an astonishing calmness, he reminded them of the fallen leader’s final decree and ensured that their purpose was now crystal clear. Alongside ordinary humans and the Green, Yellow, and Magenta Akatara, they had to unite to purge the island of radical Akatara. Only then could the title of Ruler—currently held by the opposition—shift to the affirmation, establishing a peace that could be maintained. And so, a new force emerged in the annals of history, later known as the Northern Alliance."
"Yet, behind the rise of this newfound power, only the radical Akatara held the knowledge of how to counteract the activation of their abilities—through the use of masks. At first, their enemies believed these masks were nothing more than mere ornaments. But years later, the truth surfaced. These masks were heirlooms capable of disrupting the Akatara’s senses, preventing them from identifying their opponents—a crucial factor in activating their powers."
"Meanwhile, the Yellow Akatara who had now joined the Northern Alliance were forced to relinquish their abilities. Their powers had been stripped away by their own Ruler, who had aligned with the radical Akatara. This left the Northern Alliance’s primary strength in the hands of the Ajina and the Green Akatara."
"But what of the South? Had the Dala not secured the Turquoise Akatara? Much like the Magenta Akatara, the Turquoise Akatara remained ignorant of their own identity. The Dala had obtained Turquoise in 1350, while the Ajina’s emergence occurred three years later, in 1353. A mere three-year gap was insufficient to fully develop the time-manipulation abilities of the Turquoise Akatara. No one truly understood the Dala’s intentions at the time."
"However, an even greater revelation lay hidden. Though it seemed as if nothing significant had transpired, the Dala had, in reality, recklessly exploited the abilities of the Turquoise Akatara. The consequences of this reckless misuse only came to light after the downfall of the radical Akatara—shocking all who were involved."
"On the same day the Northern Alliance was formed, on the shores of Valchar Island, the survivors witnessed a fleet of ships racing toward them from the horizon. The ships drew closer, and the figures standing on their decks manipulated the seawater, directing it toward the survivors. They were superhuman warriors who had long been watching the Ajina and those hiding on the island.”
“It was said that a Green Akatara from the opposition had used their enhanced vision to detect the approaching fleet and had informed the Orange Akatara. This explained why the Orange Akatara made a swift and shocking decision at that moment.”
“The superhumans had been tracking two groups that had been chasing each other for some time, and now, they had finally discovered the Ajina’s hideout. They arrived with a level of agility far beyond what had been seen before. In the past, superhumans could only manipulate elements crudely—pulling and pushing without precise control over their power. But now, their abilities had advanced significantly. They had learned to infuse their weapons with elemental forces: swords wreathed in fire, maces wrapped in wind, and various other weapons imbued with the power of nature.”
“This astonishing mastery left ordinary humans, Ajina, and Affirmation Akatara alike in awe. They saw that the superhumans had truly earned their name—not merely wielding elements but also possessing extraordinary martial skills. However, despite their overwhelming strength, it was not enough for them to dominate the island, for they still had to face the cunning guerrilla forces of the Orange Akatara.”
“The Ajina immediately mobilized to protect the ordinary humans and the Akatara. Every warrior was deployed against the superhumans, yet the enemy proved far stronger than expected. These superhumans were indeed a formidable threat, though even their power was not enough to decisively turn the tide of battle. The Ajina had prepared for this confrontation long before the ships reached the island.”
“Suddenly, a large portion of the enemy forces on the ships was thrown into chaos by a surprise attack. Hidden beneath the waters, the Ajina Fish burst forth with savage fury. Some took the form of sharks, their razor-sharp teeth tearing through flesh. Others resembled sawfish, skewering their enemies like kebabs. Barracuda-like warriors streaked through the water, turning the superhumans into clouds of blood in an instant. The sheer brutality of the assault crushed the superhumans aboard the ships in the blink of an eye.”
“Those who had already disembarked had no choice but to keep fighting. The Green Akatara swiftly joined the fray, reinforcing their bodies—hardening their muscles and joints to the strength of concrete, rendering their skin impervious to heat and cold, and swiftly healing injured Ajina before sending them back into battle. In the end, the superhumans were no match for the combined might of the Ajina, the Akatara, and the relentless forces of Valchar’s wilderness."
"Though the battle had been won, tension among the Ajina remained unavoidable. They had grown utterly sick of both the Akatara and the superhumans. These two factions had caused far too many problems. Some Ajina had even begun to believe that the world should be ruled by their kind alone, and that other races ought to be erased. The new leader of the Ajina could no longer evade the word ‘peace.’ Now, an ultimatum had to be delivered to both humans and the Akatara. With the Magenta and Green rulers in their hands, if the two factions failed to uphold the proposed peace, there would be only one path left—to annihilate them all. Their mission now was to eliminate the Radicalist Akatara so that the rulers of every Akatara clan would align with them. Fighting the superhumans was also inevitable. This war had to continue until the infant Magenta Akatara ruler could be taught how to strip away the inheritance of power.”
“Amidst the Ajina’s fury, the superhumans, on the other hand, were delighted. To them, this was the only way to establish a single victor in the world. They despised the idealistic dream of peace between races, viewing it as nothing more than a delusion. In fact, they held a twisted sense of respect for the Radicalist Akatara, seeing them as true realists rather than hypocrites. Meanwhile, the ordinary humans urged the superhumans to reconsider the ancient agreement humanity had once forged with the Violet Akatara. That faction had remained unseen and uninvolved with humankind for so long that they had nearly faded from history—much like the ancestors of Cora.”
“Peace was not something given but something sought. And to attain it, one had to walk a difficult path, no matter the cost. But to the superhumans, such words were meaningless. They mocked the alliance for their failure to deal with the Radicalist Akatara. The alliance, blinded by its ideals, refused to acknowledge the harsh truth of the world—a truth that had been laid bare before them since the very first day of its formation. To the superhumans, there was only one solution: to fight until only a single faction remained in the world.”
“The radical words spoken by the superhumans could not be forgiven. Without any orders, one of the Ajina lunged forward and seized a superhuman by the throat, crushing the life out of them. Yet the other superhumans only laughed in satisfaction, convinced that their words reflected the grim reality of the world. They believed there were simply too many powerful races roaming the land, making peace an impossibility."
“The leaders of the Ajina left only two superhumans behind, who then informed all the inhabitants of the island to evacuate immediately. They warned of potential reinforcements from both the superhumans and the Radicalist Akatara, who might be on their way. However, the real issue was transportation across the sea. Ships and boats could not be produced in large numbers within a short time, and there was no guarantee that the enemy would not arrive within a day.”
“Only three ships belonging to the superhumans remained seaworthy, each with a capacity of only a few dozen people. Meanwhile, the total number of Ajina, ordinary humans, and Akatara reached around 300. Once again, the Green Akatara used their special abilities to solve this problem. The bird family among the Ajina was the only available mode of transportation, but the Green Akatara proposed enlisting the help of the great fish families. They manipulated the shape of the passengers' hands and feet into that of large geckos to prevent them from slipping off the slick backs of the giant fish. With this effort, they successfully transported the entire group and landed on the southern shores of the Slyvalis continent, which was still a mountainous forest.”
“In this new land, the Northern Alliance began preparing everything needed, from strategy to ammunition, for the impending war against the Radicalist Akatara. The two remaining superhumans were left behind on the island, with the intention that their comrades, when they arrived, would witness their defeat, which would hopefully demoralize them.”
“After months of preparation, the three factions finally clashed. The Northern Alliance now occupied most of the Slyvalis continent, while the Radicalist Akatara held control over the Montavera and Planis continents. Meanwhile, the Superhuman Faction had made the Arcanis continent their natural stronghold. There was a reason they chose Arcanis as their refuge—it was the place where they had successfully conquered Ajina Dala, due to its dry and inhospitable biomes, which were difficult for races dependent on flora and fauna to survive in. Their headquarters was not in Thalapetra but deep within the desert, making it difficult for the enemy to infiltrate. The superhumans had indirectly made the barren lands of Arcanis the new settlement for humanity, a place once dismissed but now at the center of their history.”
"To the south, no signs of resistance were yet visible, prompting the Superhuman Faction to concentrate all their forces on the north. The Radicalist Akatara, now led by the Orange Akatara, were no longer as strong as before. They had become increasingly fragile, for their identity had always been rooted in stealth and guerrilla tactics. Moreover, their enemies now were far from ordinary."
"The Superhumans, now fully able to control their elemental abilities, surprised the Radicalist Akatara. Once again, the greatest obstacle they faced was their lack of numbers. The Superhumans attacked from the south, the territory of the Radicalist Akatara, while the Northern Alliance attacked from the north. This dual assault proved highly effective, overwhelming the Radicalist Akatara. History recorded that the large-scale resistance of the Radicalist Akatara lasted only five years, from 1353 to 1358. After that, only small-scale resistance continued until 1451, with their territory shrinking to just the western and eastern shores of the 'Shirawata Sea.'"
"However, it wasn't just the Orange Akatara who were bombarded. The Northern Alliance and the Superhumans also clashed during that period (1353-1451), with both sides still strong in the first three decades. Yet, by the final decade, a new force from the south began to push the Superhumans back. These were the Dala, along with the Ordinary Humans and the Turquoise Akatara. Despite this, the Dala never appeared to do anything with the help of the Turquoise Clan. They never left the depths of the tropical rainforests of the Canovia continent. They only waited for the Superhumans to strike and wipe them out there!"
"The Northern and Southern Alliances never met during this period. The obvious reason for this was that the Arcanis continent had become a barrier between them. The coast, which seemed like an easy route to traverse, turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated. The western and eastern shores of the Arcanis continent bordered both the Outer World and the Inner World. Crossing this boundary was a far greater challenge than anything they had faced before."
"Yet, as had been predicted, the Superhumans eventually reached their limits. Not only because the new generation of resistance was more lethargic than their predecessors, but also because of another factor that was bound to catch up with them: the stripping of legacies. The young girl, now a teenager, had learned how to strip abilities. The Northern Alliance felt victory was within their reach. But despite her repeated attempts, she failed every time. The Superhumans who were captured, whose powers were meant to be stripped, remained completely unaffected. The Northern Alliance continued to wait for the new generation of the Magenta Ruler to complete this task, but mysteriously, it never succeeded. Thus, for the next five decades, the Northern Alliance was forced to continue the war against Superhumans who still retained their elemental powers."
"This war must be sustained because Green Akatara had sworn to retaliate against the Ajina if they dared to kill the Magenta Akatara as a means to eliminate the Superhumans."
"In 1399, the Northern Alliance finally succeeded in securing a route on the Arcanis continent, an area controlled by the Superhumans. This route was the al-Misrād Bay on the northern coast of the Arcanis continent, stretching to the Duurare Savannah north of the Canovia Tropical Rainforest, known as the Vinci Route. The opening of this route was the result of various carefully planned diversion tactics by the Northern Alliance. Periodically, they managed to build temporary fortifications that split the Superhuman forces into two parts. And here, after so long, the Ajina and Dala met again!"
"Although the Superhuman resistance was not yet over, the meeting of these two legendary races changed the course of the war. Now, the world was on the brink of a prolonged war. From 1399 to 1451, the world witnessed extraordinary barbarism from each side, fighting for their own existence. It was known that the Dala still hid the presence of the Turquoise Akatara, which infuriated Green Akatara, who had previously offered peace. The Southern Alliance, though having the same ideals as the Northern Alliance, differed in one key aspect: the Dala refused to include the Ajina in their circle. The Dala's hatred for the Ajina was greater than their hatred for the Humans and Akatara. Eventually, the Southern Alliance was viewed the same way as the Superhumans and the fascist Radicalist Akatara. There was no retreat—one side had to disappear!"
"The Vinci Route, though at times controlled by the Superhumans, remained a fierce battleground. Both the Superhumans and the Northern Alliance never succeeded in claiming a single inch of the Southern Alliance's territory. The Dala, hidden deep in the tropical rainforests, created a tremendous fear among their enemies. Attempts to burn the rainforest were nearly always made but never succeeded. The forest that burned would restore itself in mere seconds! This phenomenon seemed to be related to the contribution of the Turquoise Akatara, though at that time, people were not paranoid enough to suspect it. They were more likely to view it as a natural ability of the Dala to restore forest damage, while in reality, it was the contribution of the Turquoise Akatara."
"For the Ajina, damaging nature was forbidden, and therefore, they never considered destroying the forest or ecosystem. However, this was not the case with the Superhumans. The Canovia Tropical Rainforest at that time was much further north than it is now. The damage caused by this war was clearly visible—the environment became the primary victim."
"This war lasted for an incredibly long time and dragged on endlessly. Initially, the Northern Alliance was hesitant to invade the Southern Alliance's territory because they were still uncertain about the whereabouts of the Turquoise Akatara and the Blue Akatara, whose affiliation was unknown to the human groups that might possess them. The Southern Alliance, relying more on defensive strategies, made this war prolong. However, if no one dared to take the risk, this war would continue indefinitely."
"In 1445, the Radicalist Akatara finally surrendered unconditionally after the Yellow Akatara Ruler was captured, a few months after killing a Yellow Akatara member affiliated with the Northern Alliance. This victory greatly weakened the Radicalist Akatara's power. In the future, what we witness today, the remnants of the Radicalist Akatara are unwelcome anywhere and face persecution, particularly the Orange Akatara, who became the symbol of their failure and destruction."
