Demon Hunters Part 3

"Life...most people believe that they will live forever but not everyone can live for eternity. Life can be cut short in a blink of an eye. Demons lurk in the human world and now pose as humans and I'm the only one who can send the demons back to hell." – Christiana

It was January 17, 1824, and Meadow along with another demon hunter was trying to send Josie the Dream Demon back to hell. The demon hunter is named Marcus who is also a demon who hunts his fellow kind for money unfortunately, he and Meadow believe the mission will succeed but it doesn't.

Meadow: "Are you sure about you doing this?"

Marcus: "It's fine man. I can handle the she-beast."

Meadow: "I think I should do this..."

Marcus: "You got the last three demons and I should at least get this demon."

Meadow: "Fine..."

Marcus: "Thank you...If you keep on with that act you'll never get a woman."

Meadow: "Why would I need a waste of space?"

Marcus: "My point exactly."

Meadow: "How exactly are we, demon-hunting partners?"

Marcus: "Good night."

Meadow: "You're such a handful...I don't understand how Misty can put up with you."

As Marcus went to sleep he found himself alone in the dream realm hoping to find Josie.

Marcus: "Alright you bitch! Come out here and face me!"

Josie: "How dare you boy? Addressing a lady like that! You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Marcus: "I would if I was actually addressing a lady."

Josie: "Okay you want to play games then let's play."

Marcus: "Oh yeah do your worst!"

Josie: "Ungrateful demon abandoning and hunting your own kind for some human girl to live in this pathetic human world."

Marcus: "Being here is way much better than being in hell and you know it."

Josie: "I wonder what your wife really thinks about you."

Josie takes out her hand and uses the mind power of illusion to drive the person in their dream to go mad.

Josie: "My...my look who we have here."

Marcus: "Misty?"

Misty: "How could I love someone like you? A man who is really a demon..."

Marcus: "But...but you said you didn't care that I am a demon."

Misty: "I only said that because it's what you wanted to hear from me."

Marcus: (to himself) "Don't listen to her...she's just an illusion...just to get in my head..."

Misty: "You know I think about you."

Marcus: (to himself) "Don't listen to her...just don't..."

Misty: "I think you're a carnivorous monster and I hate you. Oh and one more thing I wish I never married you, in fact, I wish that I never met you."

Marcus got on his knees and screamed in pain believing that the love of his life hates him.

Josie: "Think you so tough now traitor."

Marcus stops screaming and stands back up looking as if all the light inside him is gone.

Josie: "Well...that was quick usually it takes more than that to break someone's spirit."

Marcus stood there speechless.

Josie: "You what they say if you die in your sleep you die in real life." She gave Marcus his hunting gun. "Go on traitor you know you want to."

Marcus: "I thought Misty loved me but...I guess it's for the best if I die."

Marcus points the gun at himself and shoots himself.

Josie: "Looks like I've done what I needed to do no point in continuing using this human."

Josie left the dream realm and woke up afterward leaving the human woman she possessed.

Then Meadow just went back to where Marcus was and realized he was too late.

Meadow: "Damn it! I told that idiot to let me do it."

Misty walked up to Meadow.

Misty: "Hey Meadow."

Meadow: "Why are you here?"

Misty: "I was supposed to meet up with Marcus when he finished y'all's demon hunting."

Meadow: "About that Misty well..."

Misty: "Well what?"

Meadow: "You should see for yourself."

Misty: "Oh my god!!! No...NNNNOOOO!!!!!!" She saw Marcus' dead body and cried. "How? How could he die I thought normal bullets can't kill him."

Meadow: "Normal bullets can't but the dream demon must've made him use his own gun on himself."

Misty: "That bitch! How did she make him kill himself?"

Meadow: "Because of you."

Misty: "Me?"

Meadow: "She was probably going to kill you in your sleep because you're the only person he loved."

Misty continued to cry then she stopped and picked up Marcus' gun that can harm humans.

Misty: "If that demon wants me dead then so be it."

She points the gun to her head then Meadow stops her.

Meadow: "Don't do it Marcus wouldn't want you to do this."

Misty: "It doesn't matter anymore he's dead and I'm going to join him."

Meadow: "If you shoot yourself you won't go to heaven or hell."

Misty: "What?"

Meadow: "When one takes their own life that person will serve the God of Death and be a Grim Reaper forever."

Misty: "R-Really?"

Meadow: "Yes...once you become a Grim Reaper then you will never see Marcus ever again and taking your own life because he's dead makes you really selfish to do something like that."

Misty: (puts down the gun) "You're right Meadow...I am being selfish and Marcus would want me to continue on with my life but I will never love anyone but him."

Meadow: "Oh brother I think I'm going to be sick."

Misty "You'll understand once you find the one woman to love."

Now back to August 26, 1844, and it's late in the afternoon and Meadow is thinking about the past when he got some new bounty posters.

Christiana: "Meadow...Meadow!"

Meadow: "Hm?"

Christiana: "I wanted to see the new bounties for the demons."

Meadow: "Oh...here..."

He gives her the bounty posters.

Christiana: "Not many prices for some of these but here is one with a lot of currencies. This poster said for capturing Josie the Dream Demon and sending her back to hell the reward will be ten thousand currencies but the reward can be negotiable if necessary."

Meadow: "Like hell, if I'm going to let you take that offer."

Christiana: "Why the hell not? After all, we need money."

Meadow: "I'm not the one who spent most of the money on cakes."

Christiana: "So? It doesn't matter I'm going after that demon."

Meadow: (Grabs her arm) "You are not going after that bounty."

Christiana: "What's gotten you so scared all of a sudden?"

Meadow: "I'm not scared and I rather not say..." Christiana opens the door to leave. "Where are you going?"

Christiana: "Out for a walk."

She leaves and slams the door closed.

Meadow: "That's great she's mad." He looks for the lotion that lets him walk in the daylight and realizes that it's gone. "Damn it! Where could it be? Unless...Christiana, of course, you would take it out of the suite so I can't go out with you..."

Christiana went to the police department and was trying to see if anyone was missing.

Police Officer Zack: "Well...well...hello, pretty girl what can I help you with?"

Christiana: "Oh I just wanted to speak with Nancy."

Police Officer Zack: "The detective? Oh, you don't need her I can help you."

Christiana: "No thanks I just want to speak with Nancy."

Police Detective Nancy: "Okay just one more hour and I can go hom-"

Nancy was so surprised to see Christiana and wanted to know why she was here.

Police Detective Nancy: "Okay huntress what are you doing here?"

Christiana: "Don't be so formal Nancy just call me Christiana."

Police Detective Nancy: "Haven't your mother taught you manners? You call me Miss. Sterns."

Christiana: "She did I just choose not to use them."

Police Detective Nancy: (Thinking: "What is with this girl?") "Okay 1. What is it do you need? and 2. Why are you on my chair?"

Christiana: "A. I just wanted to know if there are any missing people around here and B. I want to sit where I feel comfortable."

Police Detective Nancy: (Thinking: "Are all teenage girls like this? No way I think it's just her, she must be acting like this no girl would be like that unless it's an act.") "Let me guess you're hunting."

Christiana: "Of course, an innocent girl like me has to make a living otherwise I won't be able to eat and have a home to live in."

Police Detective Nancy: "There hasn't been anyone missing only the selected people that have been missing for many years but we gave up on the search 4 years ago."

Christiana: "That's all I needed to hear goodbye. Oh, and by the way, if you're going to be so worried and stressed all the time you'll never get a man after all you're not getting any younger." She leaves the office.

Police Detective Nancy: "Okay she is definitely not a normal girl and how dare she say I'll never get a man!! I can get a man if I want to I just don't want one right now because of my line of work!! I'm not even that old I'm only twenty-six!!"

Christiana left the police department to go back to the hotel suite just as she got back Meadow was waiting and was very upset.

Meadow: "Why did you take my lotion?"

Christiana: "I figured it would upset you."

Meadow: "Give me the real answer."

Christiana: "Fine it's because I need information from Nancy and I knew you would follow me so I took it."

Meadow: "Nancy?"

Christiana: "The police detective."

Meadow: "Is that so?"

Christiana: "Yes and all she knows is that the missing people are the same ones who went missing years ago."

Meadow: "That might be the Black Market at fault."

Christiana: "Black Market?"

Meadow: "I only heard rumors but the Black Market sells only one thing...human beings."

Christiana: "Really?"

Meadow: "They sell people doesn't matter of their sex or race as long as they get a good profit out of them. From what Marcus told me a year before his death the market started selling demons, vampires, and witches/warlocks."

Christiana: "Whose Marcus?"

Meadow: "I guess you can call him my friend..."

Christiana: "My Meadow actually had a friend."

Meadow: "Anyways the market sells people in three categories which are science experiments, work slaves, and sex slaves that's all I know about the Black Market. I just hope you don't end up in there to be sold..."

Christiana: "Aww Meadow you really do care."

Meadow: "Bite me."

Christiana: "How hard do you want me to bite you?"

Meadow: "Do you remember Misty?"

Christiana: "Yes why do you ask?"

Meadow: "Because Marcus was Misty's husband."

Christiana: "She was married?"

Meadow: "Yes to a demon..."

Christiana: "If Marcus was a demon how did he die? Did you send him back to hell?"

Meadow: "No...he killed himself with his own demon-killing gun."

While Christiana and Meadow were talking there was a woman going home from work.

Lindsey: "Oh I'm so glad to be home I'll take a quick nap then I'll cook myself some spaghetti." Just as she drifted to sleep she noticed someone was waiting for her a woman she never met before. "Who are you? And what's going on here?"

Josie: "What's going on here is that you're going to die."

Lindsey: "WHAT?! WHY?!"

Josie: "You tormented a girl with a heart problem in high school that's why."

Lindsey: "What are you talking about? Wait...Claire?"

Josie: "It took you long enough to figure it out and now I'm just gonna do what she couldn't do."

Lindsey: "I didn't do anything to her!"

Josie: "You know what they say when you die in your sleep you die in real life so I'll kill you with your greatest fear."

Lindsey screams in terror as Josie drowns Lindsey in water. Lindsey is scared of drowning ever since middle school and Josie used that to finish Lindsey off. Then it was over afterward she was gasping for air and died in her sleep.

Christiana: "Shit! We're too late she got away."

Meadow: "Good."

Christiana: "What is with you, Meadow?"

Meadow: "Nothing..."

Christiana: "By the way, you never finished your story."

Meadow: "You see Marcus and I were chasing the Dream Demon long ago."

Christiana: "From what I can tell you two didn't do a good job on that."

Meadow: "Anyways he wanted to capture her and I told him it wasn't a good idea but he didn't listen to me so apparently he encountered her but afterward he was dead when I went back to meet up with him."

Christiana: "I take it she didn't take it well."

Meadow: "She was heartbroken and devastated after all she lost the man she loves and only at the age of sixteen."

Christiana: "So is that why you didn't want me to get that bounty."

Meadow: "Yes...I don't want to see you dead after dealing with that demon."

Christiana: "Aww Meadow..." She hugs him from behind. "You really care about me."

Meadow: "I just don't want to lose another hunting partner."

Christiana: "We have no choice but to take this bounty."

Meadow: "Why?"

Christiana: "Because the other two bounties have been nullified."

Meadow: "We just got them Monday."

Christiana: "Oh did I forget to tell you?"

Meadow: "Tell me what?"

Christiana: "I told that exorcist to deal with those two bounties that were only worth ninety currencies each."

Meadow: "I think you need a punishment."

Christiana: "You'll have to chase me first."

Christiana and Meadow leave before a man walks to Lindsey's house.

Lane: "Hey Lindsey you left your mobile at the office again." He knocks on the door and hears nothing. "Alright, I'm breaking in." He finds the spare key and unlocks the door. "Listen, Lindsey, if you keep leaving your phone in the office I'm gonna keep it..." He sees Lindsey's dead body and panics while calling the police.

911 Hotline: "911 what is your emergency?"

Lane: "Ah yes I found my friend dead at her house."

911 Hotline: "Okay what is your location?"

Lane: "Um...97233 Wiregrass Road..."

911 Hotline: "Okay the police are on their way."

Moments later the police arrived at the house and started to question Lane.

Police Officer Zack: "So what happened here?"

Lane: "I don't know I found her dead..."

Nancy and Charlotte looked around the house to find evidence while Zack questioned Lane.

Police Officer Zack: "Why did you come here?"

Lane: "I came here to give Lindsey her phone."

Police Officer Zack: "Her phone? Why do you have her phone?"

Lane: "She left it at work...She always leaves her phone at work when it's time for her to finish her work hours."

Police Officer Zack: "Is that so?"

Lane: "Yes..."

Police Officer Zack: "Okay that's all I need to know." Lane leaves and Zack is waiting for the girls to come back. "Well...Did you two find anything?"

Police Officer Charlotte: "Nope. From what I can tell she drowned herself."

Police Officer Zack: "How can she drown herself? Her clothes are dry as a bone there's no way that could happen."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Why don't you explain her cause of death then?"

Police Officer Zack: "Well..."

Police Officer Charlotte: "I thought so."

While the two officers were bickering Nancy noticed exactly how Lindsey died.

Police Detective Nancy: "I may know how she died but you two will most likely laugh at me."

Police Officer Charlotte: "We won't laugh."

Police Officer Zack: "Honest Nancy we won't laugh."

Police Detective Nancy: "I think a demon might have killed that woman in her sleep."

Police Officer Zack: "Is that all?"

Police Detective Nancy: "Yes but I don't understand why you two aren't laughing."

Police Officer Zack: "Why would we laugh?"

Police Detective Nancy: "I just assumed..."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Assumed that we wouldn't believe you."

Police Detective Nancy: "Well..."

Police Officer Charlotte: "I have known you since our days at college and I know you would never lie or make up crazy stories."

Police Detective Nancy: "Oh..."

Police Officer Zack: "Since you believe that there is a demon what do we do next."

Police Detective Nancy: "I don't know much but I'll have to ask someone I know who's more experienced with the demon." She pulled out her mobile and dialed Johnathan's number then it rang and he picked up.

Johnathan: "Hello?"

Police Detective Nancy: "Johnathan! There was a demon attack!"

Johnathan: "Damn it! I knew I shouldn't have left Lake City."

Police Detective Nancy: "I'm already at the scene and it looks like she was drowned in her sleep."

Johnathan: "How? Never mind I'm taking the next train back there maybe I'll be able to find out what kind of demon it is."

Police Detective Nancy: "Good to know." She hangs up the phone. "Well, it looks like we can't move the body until morning."

While they were waiting Charlotte's mobile went off and she answered her phone.

Police Officer Charlotte: "Hello this is Officer Charlotte."

Rick: "Hello I want to report a missing person."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Okay will you give me a name?"

Rick: "Yes! Her name is Claire Hyatt and she's been missing for about a week."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Okay give me your location so you can give me more information."

Rick: "Yes it's 5647 Thames Avenue."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Okay I'll be there in a few minutes." She hung up her phone. "That's just great."

Police Detective Nancy: "What's wrong?"

Police Officer Charlotte: "Another missing person honestly there have been more missing people everywhere than there are stars in the sky."

Police Detective Nancy: "I know it's difficult in this day and age I hope that missing person isn't going be like those others who've been missing for years."

Police Officer Charlotte: "I hope so..." She left the house and went to the meeting spot trying to find the man. "Damn it...I should have asked for his name before I hung up the phone."

Rick: "Over here!"

Police Officer Charlotte: "Me?"

Rick: "Yes I can tell that you're a police officer by the gun you have by the way my name is Rick Hyatt."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Oh yeah so can you tell me more about..."

Rick: "Claire Hyatt she's 5'2 ½, blonde hair, green eyes."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Okay what is your relationship with her?"

She wrote in a notebook the description of the girl.

Rick: "She's my little sister."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Anything else?"

Rick: "She has a heart problem."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Oh no I'm sorry."

Ren: "It's fine she had a heart problem since she was a little kid and she takes medication for it though.

Police Officer Charlotte: "I see is that it?"

Rick: "Yeah..."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Okay we'll do what we can to find her."

Rick: "Thank you just please find her I'm really worried."

Charlotte left the area and was puzzled.

Police Officer Charlotte: "Oh god I hope she's not like the other missing people who haven't been heard from again."

Just while she was walking home Meadow was watching from afar.

Meadow: "Well...now I know who the she-beast possessed."

Meadow left to go back home but he didn't want to tell Christiana about the information he got. Afterward, it was the next day and Johnathan was on his way to the crime scene.

Johnathan: "May you rest in peace in heaven you poor soul but this is strange for her to die this way though I have heard of something like this."

Police Detective Nancy: "What do you mean?"

Johnathan: "Have you heard of the saying if you die in your sleep you wake up the next morning?"

Police Detective Nancy: "I have but I thought it was if you die in your sleep you die in real life."

Johnathan: "In this case yes my exorcist master told me that she dealt with a demon who killed people in their sleep but she almost got herself killed."

Police Detective Nancy: "Really?"

Johnathan: "Yes... She managed to weaken the demon but wasn't able to banish the demon and it escaped; in fact, she even told me to never face the dream demon because the demon will use your main weakness to kill you."

Police Detective Nancy: "Weakness?"

Johnathan: "You know worst fear or the death of the one person you truly love."

Police Detective Nancy: "Losing the one you love...." She thought about a policeman she had fallen for and looked paled.

Johnathan: "What's wrong with you?"

Police Detective Nancy (flustered): "N-N-Nothing's wrong with me."

Johnathan: "You're acting strange all of a sudden."

Police Detective Nancy: "I'm not!"

Johnathan: "Anyways we should stay at the police department tonight so we can see whoever calls there will be the next target."

Police Detective Nancy: "Okay I'll see if I can get some of the police officers to stay here too."

Johnathan: "That's fine if they actually believe in who really committed the crime."

Police Detective Nancy: "Don't worry about it."

Later on, at night, a young couple was going to sleep after a long day.

Jerry: "The sooner I go to sleep the better." As he drifted to sleep he was dreaming of the day his child would be born. "One more push Lola I want to see my son."

Josie: "Well...Well... it looks like he is looking forward to being a father so let's change that." She takes out her hand and uses the mind power of illusion. "This will definitely work *chuckles*."

Jerry: "I'm so happy to see my son alive and...huh? Why do I have blood on my hands? Where's my..." He realizes the blood on his hands is his son's blood and looks down on the floor and finds a dead baby; therefore, believing he killed his child then he screams in horror.

Lola: "Honey how is Peter doing?" She walks in and sees her dead son and her husband covered in the baby's body. "OH MY GOD!! You bastard! You killed my son!"

Jerry: "Look Lola I didn't do I-"

Lola ran out of the room and Jerry followed trying the tell her he didn't kill their son. Josie stops him by pulling him into a room.

Josie: "Looks like your life is crumbling apart."

Jerry: "Who are you?"

Josie: "Just a girl who wants revenge after the horrifying prank you did years ago."

Jerry: "What are you talking about? I only pranked my old friend but some girl got in the way."

Josie: "Yet you didn't do anything to stop it or apologize to her."

Jerry: "What do you mean?"

Josie: "You haven't figured it out well there's no point in telling you since you're going to die."

Jerry: "Huh?"

Suddenly Jerry was in the living room and his wife was standing there with a knife."

Lola: "Bastard! You murdered my child!"

Jerry: "Lola put the knife down please!"

Lola: "You didn't want the child you said you weren't ready to be a father and you killed him!!"

Jerry: "No I didn't kill him I was happy to be a dad somebody framed me."

Lola: "LIAR!!! LIAR!!! LIAR!!!"

Jerry: "NO!!! DON'T!!"

Lola stabs Jerry and he bleeds then Lola wakes up and sees the blood on the bed sheets.

Lola: "Oh My God!! Jerry speak to me!"

Jerry: "I'm…I'm sorry Lola."

He used his last breath to talk to his wife and she screamed as she called the police department on her mobile phone.

Police Officer Zack: "Lake City Police Department Police Officer Zack Bowen speaking."

Lola: "Oh God my husband he's dead!!!"

Police Officer Zack: "Okay calm down and tell me your location miss."

Lola: "Yes it's 9102 Cherry Wood Lane."

Police Officer Zack: "Alright some officers are on their way."

Lola: "O-O-Okay.."

Zack hangs up the phone.

Police Officer Zack: "You think this demon has caused the attack on Cherry Wood."

Johnathan: "Most likely we better get going."

Police Detective Nancy: "Alright let's hurry."

Nancy along with the officers went to the location and entered the house and questioned Lola.

Police Officer Charlotte: "Tell me what happened."

Lola: "I don't know I woke and I smelled something when I turned around towards my husband he had a stab wound and he spits out blood."

Police Detective Nancy: "Anything else?"

Lola: "Well...he said I'm sorry before he died."

Johnathan: "Did your husband happen to know Lindsey West?"

Lola: "Yeah those two and Matt went to high school together."

Johnathan: "As I thought there is a connection to this."

Police Detective Nancy: "What do you mean?"

Johnathan: "Then you know what isn't killing at random but must be targeting a certain group of people."

Police Detective Nancy: "I see there must be someone who wanted the two victims dead and it's after the next one."

Johnathan: "Lola isn't it? Tell me if anyone had a grudge against your husband."

Lola: "No one that I know of I met Jerry when he was in college so I don't know much about his past except that he and Matt used to prank each other when they were in middle school and high school but they stopped after they started high school."

Police Officer Zack: "What happened?"

Lola: "Well…he tried to use a rope trap to make honey then feathers fall on Matt but instead he accidentally got the honey fall on some girl and she screamed and tripped on the stairs and broke her leg."

Johnathan: "A girl? Who?"

Lola: "I don't know her name was Claire I think."

Police Officer Charlotte (thinking): "Claire?"

Johnathan: "Do you know where Matt lives?"

Lola: "Yes the last I heard he lives in Witmen Street that's three blocks away."

Police Detective Nancy: "Then we'll have to go there tomorrow."

Police Officer Zack: "Why tomorrow?"

Johnathan: "Because the culprit only attacks once a night."

Police Officer Zack: "I see."

Johnathan and the police officers left the house and it's now the next day Christiana was out for a walk.

Christiana: "Damn him! Why won't he tell me what happened last night and the night before."

A flashback to last night after Meadow came back to the hotel suite.

Meadow: "Damn…she must have known I was after her. She's a lot quicker than before after she's possessing a girl with a heart problem."

Christiana: "You sure took your time getting back here."

Meadow: "Christy…"

Christiana: "What the hell Meadow?! Why are you investigating by yourself?"

Meadow: "Just because…"

Christiana: "Just because my foot!"

Meadow: "Listen Christiana I-"

Christiana: "Not talking huh? Looks like I got my answer."

Now back to the afternoon and she is going to a dress store.

Store Clerk: "Welcome may I help you, young lady."

Christiana: "No I'm just looking around."

Store Clerk: "Okay take your time."

Christiana looks around and then spots a beautiful short black dress.

Christiana: "Does this dress come in a large?"

Store Clerk: "Yes it does but you try on this light pink dress here."

Christiana: "I rather stab myself than wear that."

Store Clerk: "Um okay here's the dress the dressing room is right over there."

Christiana goes into the dress and tries on the dress then Meadow appears out of nowhere.

Meadow: "You look so beautiful in that dress."

Christiana: "It doesn't surprise me that you stalked me." Meadow hugs her from behind. "Why won't let me be involved in the bounty?"

Meadow: "I don't want to lose you…"

Christiana: "Are you just saying that as my hunting partner or as my lover?"

Meadow: "I'm buying you that dress."

Meadow leaves the dressing room and goes to pay for the dress.

Store Clerk: "May I help you, sir?"

Meadow: "I want to pay for that dress that Christiana is trying on."

Store Clerk: "Oh the girl in the dressing room, of course, the dress is thirty currencies."

Meadow: "Here."

Store Clerk: "Thank you I wonder is that young girl your girlfriend?"

Meadow: "In a way…"

Store Clerk: "I think it's so sweet for you to buy her a gift when it's not a special occasion if only there were more guys like you anyways have a nice day."

Meadow left the store and was in thought of Christiana's question.

Christiana: "Are you just saying that as my hunting partner or as my lover?"

Meadow: "Obviously the answer was because you're my lover." Then he spots Johnathan and went to him to talk to him. "Hey…"

Johnathan: "It's you! Wait what the?!"

Meadow: "Why are you looking so surprised?"

Johnathan: "B-B-B-Because you are walking in daylight how is that possible for a vampire to be standing here with the sun out!!!"

Meadow: "I use a special lotion that lets me walk in the daylight."

Johnathan: "So you walk here during the day and everyone thinks you're a regular person."

Meadow: "Pretty much…"

Johnathan: "What do you want from me?"

Meadow: "To stay out of my way."

Johnathan: "What do you mean?"

Meadow: "The demon you're after is out of your league."

Johnathan: "What?! I can handle it myself!"

Meadow: "You're Jade's apprentice aren't you…"

Johnathan: "How did you know?"

Meadow: "She faced the dream demon while she was in training and well… she nearly lost her life because that demon uses manipulation and illusions to kill people in their sleep."

Johnathan: "I already know that! But you didn't answer my question how did you know who my master is?"

Meadow: "You're using her hunting bag and I met her years ago."

Johnathan: "You and the huntress are gonna take care of the demon and kill the innocent victim you can forget it!!"

Meadow: "Christiana isn't gonna be involved."

Johnathan: "What?!"

Meadow: "It's my mistake and I'm gonna end it tonight."

Johnathan: "Why isn't Christiana involved?"

Meadow: "Because I don't want her involved…"

Johnathan: "You must care for her dearly."

Meadow: "She's my hunting partner…"

Johnathan: "I see you two must be good friends."

Meadow stood in silence and left while Johnathan wondered about the plan.

Johnathan: "I wonder what he meant by his mistake? Oh well, I better work out the plan before tonight."

Just as he carefully plotted out the plan Meadow went back to the hotel while he was walking a woman carrying a bag bumped into him.

Claire: "Oh! Sorry…"

Meadow notices the bag has medicine for heart conditions.

Meadow: "If you're trying to steal from me it won't work…"

Claire: "I wasn't trying to steal I was just in a train of thought."

When she left Meadow noticed a medicine bottle on the ground.

Meadow: "So that's her address…"

Meadow walked back to the hotel suite after some time it was nightfall and Johnathan along with the police officers went to the next soon-to-be victim.

Matt: "Whoa! Whoa! Why are all of you doing here at my house?"

Police Detective Nancy: (Shows her badge) "I'm Police Detective Nancy and we believe that you may be attacked tonight."

Matt: "Wait! What!? What do you mean attack!?"

Police Officer Zack: "It seems that the last two attacks this week were from two people by the name of Lindsey Lay-knight and Jerry August."

Matt: "N-N-No way… they're dead!?"

Police Officer Zack: "Yes the last victim's fiancée told us you went to school with him."

Matt: "That's true but what do the attacks have to do with me?"

Police Detective Nancy: "We believe that these attacks are connected which means you may be the last one that will get killed."

Matt: "I see it's a shame that Lindsey and Jerry are dead I haven't seen them in a long time I thought we were gonna meet up at Jerry's wedding I guess we'll never meet again..."

Johnathan: "I'm sorry for the loss of your friends they will move on to the afterlife in heaven."

Matt: "Thanks…"

After some time Matt went to sleep meanwhile Meadow is ready to face the dream demon.

Christiana: "Are you sure about me not going with you?"

Meadow: "I'm sure I have to face this demon on my own."

Christiana: "Fine…"

Meadow lays his head down on Christiana's lap and goes to sleep to face Josie once and for all in the dream realm.

Meadow: "Alright you she-beast bitch come out here and face me!"

Josie: "Well… Well… Well… how long has it been since I last saw you Meadow?"

Meadow: "Basically 20 years ago…"

Josie: "They weren't kidding about one of the great demon hunters being a vampire. You know in a way vampires and demons are like demonic brethren another way to put it, are demonic relatives. Do you enjoy killing your own brethren?"

Meadow: "Like I give a crap about that."

Josie: "Oh I see well did you forget that I can use what you fear the most to end you."

Meadow: "Well good luck with that because I don't have a fear!"

Josie: "You're bluffing!"

She makes an illusion of Christiana which surprises Meadow.

Meadow: (Thinking) "How? Christiana isn't my fear…"

Josie: "This is interesting… You care for this girl very much huh? I wonder how I should kill this girl. Maybe I'll kill her in her sleep just like I did to that friend of yours. Then I'll be well known for killing this huntress!!"

Meadow stood in silence then grabbed Josie by the neck staring at her with a cold death stare.

Meadow: "If you try to kill her I'll kill you… If you enter her dreams I'll kill you… If you threaten me by using her I'll f**king kill you understand."

His grip on her neck was getting tighter as he was choking her and she was gasping for air.

Josie: "Why do you care so much about this mere human?"

Meadow: "Because she's not just my hunting partner… She's my lover." He lets go of her neck and grabs his sword. "I'm gonna finish what Marcus and I had started. Now go back to hell and you won't be able to come back to this world."

He used his sword and sent the demon back to hell.

Josie: "NNNNOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"

Claire: "AAAHHHH!!! My heart! Ah! My medicine!"

Claire tried to grab her medicine as she screamed in pain but her heart gave up and she died. Back in the dream realm Meadow was alone until he heard his name.

Christiana: "Meadow."

He turns around and sees Christiana in a black wedding dress wearing her hair down carrying a bouquet of red roses and walks up to her.

Meadow: "I will always love you even in death for eternity. As I take you to be my eternal love, my wife."

Christiana: "I will always love you even in death for eternity. As I take you to be my eternal love, my husband." After exchanging vows they shared a very special and passionate kiss. Afterward, Meadow wakes up then gets up from her lap, and stands up. "Well, it's about time you woke up."

Meadow: "What time is it?"

Christiana: "It's almost 9 o'clock."

Meadow: "Oh…"

Christiana: "You were sleeping for a while I wonder what were you dreaming about after you sent that demon back to hell."

Meadow: "N-Nothing…"

Christiana: "Liar. Let me guess it was a dirty dream wasn't it?"

Meadow: "No and what I dream about is none of your business anyways."

He walks to the door and is going to leave.

Christiana: "Where are you going?"

Meadow: "Just for a walk…"

Christiana: "Meadow… We'll be leaving soon."

Meadow: "How come?"

Christiana: "Well school will be starting back."

Meadow: "When are we going?"

Christiana: "Tonight, after all, it will take a few hours to get back to Rhinestone City."

Meadow: "Fine…"

Meadows leaves the hotel as he is going to visit an old friend he is sending an email to Johnathan.

Police Detective Nancy: "I don't understand shouldn't something have happened in his sleep by now."

Johnathan: "That's strange I am certain that he is the next target but why hasn't anything happened." His mobile phone rang. "Huh? An unknown number that's strange. An email?"

He read the email to see who it was and was surprised to see that it was Meadow.

Meadow: "The demon has been sent back to hell and the host of the demon was a woman named Claire Hyatt after the demon left her body it is most likely that she died from heart failure her address is 730 Wall Street. ~ Meadow"

Johnathan: "Nancy!"

Police Detective Nancy: "What's wrong?"

Johnathan: "I got an email from Meadow."

Police Detective Nancy: "What does the email say?"

Johnathan: "The email says that the demon is gone and to go to 730 Wall Street."

Police Detective Nancy: "Oh alright everyone let's go we don't need to be here anymore."

Police Officer Zack and Charlotte: "Okay."

The police officers and Johnathan left Matt's house to go to Claire's house after they got there she had already died.

Johnathan: "May this innocent soul rest in eternal peace in the afterlife in heaven."

Police Officer Zack: "What's the cause of death?"

Police Detective Nancy: "Heart Failure."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Wait a minute…" She takes out a photograph of the missing woman. "That's her!"

Police Detective Nancy: "What do you mean?"

Police Officer Charlotte: "Her brother reported this woman missing a couple of days ago."

Police Detective Nancy: "I see…we'll have to let her brother know."

Police Officer Charlotte: "Alright I'm gonna go and inform her relatives."

Charlotte left the house to go back to the police department to find where Claire's relatives live to inform them.

Police Detective Nancy: "We better call an ambulance."

She takes out her mobile phone and calls the ambulance. In the meantime, Meadow went to an old friend's house.

Misty: "How long has it been since I last saw you?"

Meadow: "20 years…"

Misty: "I see Marcus wasn't kidding about you being a vampire you haven't aged at all."

Meadow: "I've been this way for about 300 years."

Misty: "That long huh?"

Meadow: "Yes…"

Misty: "I think that's how long Marcus was alive."

Meadow: "Misty… I sent that bitch back to hell."

Misty: "Oh! Thank God! Maybe now he can rest in peace."

Meadow: "Yeah…"

Misty: "How did you manage though? After all, she uses someone you truly love the most to kill you."

Meadow: "She tried to…"

Misty: "She tri- oh my God! You really love Christiana don't you."

Meadow stood there in silence and was blushing.

Meadow: "After I sent Josie back to hell I saw Christiana in a beautiful wedding dress. She looked so beautiful and I wanted to hold tight and never let her go. We even exchanged vows to be…"

Misy: "To be married."

Meadow: "Y-Y-Yes…"

Misty: "Then marry her since you really love her."

Meadow: "Marry?"

Misty: "Yes marry as in giving her a ring and asking her to marry you."

Meadow: "Oh…"

Misty: "You know if Marcus was here he would find it hard to believe that you have a girl that you love."

Meadow: "I'm leaving."

Misty: "There is no need to be embarrassed about talking about Christiana since you truly love her."

Meadow leaves and goes to a jewelry store to find a pair of rings.

Store Clerk: "Hello sir how may I help you?"

Meadow: "I'm looking for a pair of wedding rings."

Store Clerk: "We have a variety of wedding rings and we even have a new kind of ring: gemstone rings with different types of gemstones. So what kind of wedding rings do you want?"

Meadow picks up two black and silver wedding band rings one with a small red ribbon and another one without a ribbon.

Meadow: "These rings will do."

Store Clerk: "Okay then the total will be 60 currencies even."

Meadow: "Here…"

He hands over the money.

Store Clerk: "Would you like the rings in a box?"

Meadow: "No."

Store Clerk: "Okay then sir have a good night."

Meadow left the store and went back to the hotel as he went into the hotel room he saw Christiana finishing packing her bag and was ready to leave.

Meadow: "I see you're ready."

Christiana: "Well, of course, are you?"

Meadow: "Here…"

He gives her the ring with the ribbon.

Christiana: "Why the hell did you give me this?"

Meadow: "Because… I want you to be my eternal lover…"

Christiana: "Are you asking me to be your wife?"

He stood there blushing out of embarrassment.

Meadow: "Y-Y-Yes…"

Christiana: "Well, of course, I'll be your lover for eternity."

She puts the ring on her left finger and goes up to Meadow and kisses him passionately as he holds her tight in his arms then tries to take her clothes off but she stops him.

Meadow: "Why?"

Christiana: "Because we have to go to the train station to catch the next train back home. Now, will you be a good vampire and wait okay."

Meadow: "Fine…"

They left the hotel to go to the train station but they had to stop by to see an acquaintance.

Johnathan: "I feel so bad about that man it reminds me of what happened to Melaena I already lost hope of finding her and she's probably dead…huh?"

Just then Christiana and Meadow appear to him.

Meadow: "Don't worry we're not here to threaten you."

Johnathan: "Then what are you two doing here?"

Christiana: "Just to tell you that you can take care of all of the demons here."

Johnathan: "Why is that?"

Police Detective Nancy: "Because she is from the city that shines like rhinestones."

Johnathan: "Were you here this whole time?"

Police Detective Nancy: "I was just passing by and I overheard you three."

Johnathan: "Oh but what do you mean by the city that shines like rhinestones?"

Police Detective Nancy: "I looked in the file system of citizens in this city but there wasn't anyone by the last name of Collins here so I asked a friend who is living in that city since he is a police officer there and he told me that there are two people with that last name: Amelia Collins and Christiana Collins."

Johnathan: "So is Amelia your relative?"

Christiana: "She was my mother."

Police Detective Nancy: "My friend told me that Amelia's deceased but not her daughter."

Johnathan: "What about your father?"

Christiana: "I don't have one in a way he's practically dead to me."

Police Detective Nancy: "How could you say? He's your father how else you would have been born into this world? You shouldn't say something like that about your own parent!"

Christiana: "Would you still say that after knowing that your own father wanted you dead before even seeing the world for the first time?"

Police Detective Nancy: "What?!"

Johnathan: "Seriously?!"

Christiana: "My mother was still a high school student and my father was just a typist secretary at a different school then soon they fell in love but soon after that my mother was pregnant with me. My father wanted her to have an abortion but she refused. He told her he wasn't ready to be a parent then one day when she went home from school he left her without leaving a note or anything."

Johnathan: "How despicable?! What kind of father would do that? Just because he wasn't ready to be a father…"

Christiana: "It's nothing to cry about it's no big deal."

Police Detective Nancy: "Anyway, people from Lake City do visit Rhinestone City they say it really shines like the beautiful rhinestones and gemstones at night but I haven't seen the city yet though I always wanted to see the city that shines like rhinestones."

Johnathan: "I see but she hasn't explained why she's leaving."

Christiana: "Well… A young girl such as myself needs her education."

Police Detective Nancy: "You're starting back school but school already started."

Christiana: "No my school starts next week all I can say to you two is to deal with the demons here so long maybe our paths will cross again."

After that Christiana and Meadow leave and make their way to the train station then enter the train to go back home.

Meadow: "What's wrong?"

Christiana: "This city… It's not what I expected it to be…"

Meadow: "What do you mean?"

Christiana: "I overheard rumors about this city having mysterious places and I wanted to see if they were true. Why else would I choose this city to take a vacation? Anyways I guess what I hear were really rumors after all…"

Meadow: "I see well at least we'll be going back home."

They share a kiss then Christiana lays her head on Meadow's shoulder as they wait to go home after a few hours they return home.

Meadow: "It's good."

Christiana: "To be back home."

As they left the train they saw the city that shines like beautiful rhinestones their home: Rhinestone City.
