Chapter 5:

Demon Hunters Part 4

Assassins Who Cleanse Sins Away

It was daytime at Starmite Town while a man was working at his job, he noticed a newspaper that was dated back to September 20, 1835, which an article about a woman's death and her daughter survived a robbery attack.

Corey: "No... Amelia's dead?!"

Co-worker: "What's with you?"

Corey: "You know the girl I told you about her right?"

Co-worker: "Yeah you told me when you lived in Rhinestone City you fell in love with a student then, later on, you knocked her up with a child and you left her."

Corey: "I had to leave her because of two reasons 1. I didn't want to be a parent yet and 2. I didn't want to see Amelia hurt if people found out that I was involved with a student so I didn't have no other choice."

Co-worker: "So what about her anyway?"

Corey: "She's dead and I just found out today here look at this newspaper article."

Corey gave his co-worker the old newspaper article.

Co-worker: "She died?"

Corey: "Yeah the article said that she died protecting my daughter."

Co-worker: "I see I can tell she's your kid she looks like you."

Corey: "Yeah you know boys look like their mothers and daughters look like their father."

Co-worker: "So what are you going to do now?"

Corey: "I'm going back to Rhinestone City and see my daughter."

Co-worker: "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean you practically abandon your kid and there's a possibility that she doesn't want to see you."

Corey: "I don't care I have to see her at least before he shows up..."

Co-worker: "Who?"

Corey: "Oh no one..."

Corey takes off the goes to Rhinestone City to see his daughter for the first time but then in the meantime, an unexpecting visitor goes to Christiana's house and knocks the door and she answers it.

Randy: "Oh hello are you Christiana?"

Christiana: "Who the hell are you?"

Randy: "I'm Randy I'm your father."

Christiana: "No you're not."

Randy: "Huh?"

Christiana: "My father is Corey Phoenix and you're not him honestly that is the lamest scam trick I have ever heard so get lost."

She closes the door and went to school while Meadow was standing at the window looking puzzled wonder who is the man claiming to be Christiana's father. In the meantime Christiana was at school finishing her class time before going to the faculty room to be assigned to be teacher's aide for her fifth-period class then Meadow appears.

Christiana: "You sure love stalking me don't you."

Meadow: "I'm here just to ask you something."

Christiana: "Can't it wait?"

Meadow: "I guess when do you finish school."

Christiana: "Once it's 2 O'clock."

Meadow: "Fine I'll go back."

Christiana: "Wait, Meadow..."

She pulls Meadow to her and kisses him.

Meadow: "What was that for?"

Christiana: "Because I love you."

He blushes then disappears later on it's late in the afternoon and Christiana and Meadow were walking in the city looking for Randy.

Meadow: "Something bothers me about that man..."

Christiana: "What do you mean?"

Meadow: "Why would he wait until now to come to see you and claiming to be your father?"

Christiana: "I don't know but clearly he knew my mother so I have to go ask my Aunt Jody."

Meadow: You have an Aunt?"

Christiana: "Yes. She's my only relative left who is alive."

Meadow: "I see..."

Before they left, they were stopped by a local man.

Photographer: "Hello young lady how would you like to take a photograph on this new thing called a camera?"

Christiana: "Photograph?"

Meadow: "Camera?"

Photographer: "Oh yes it will only take a few seconds to take the picture but it will take a minute or two to have the photograph to develop."

Christiana: "Fine..."

Photographer: "Fantastic! Now let me take a photograph of you and your boyfriend here. Okay, one two three. Just give me a minute to develop the photograph."

Meadow: "Fine..."

The photographer went to his shop.

Christiana: "You seemed shocked when I told about my aunt."

Meadow: "That's because I assumed that you had no other relatives."

Christiana: "That's because my mother had no relatives and my father did, an older sister and a half-sister."

Meadow: "Half-sister?"

Christiana: "Apparently my grandmother had an affair with a friend of my grandfather's when he was in Layira for a year."

Meadow: "Then?"

Christiana: "My grandfather had no idea about the affair until my Aunt Marcia went to their house and wanted to meet her birth mother."

Meadow: "I wonder how your grandfather reacted about it?"

Christiana: "Who knows? That's all I know about them."

While they were talking the photographer came back.

Photographer: "Okay here you go huh? Wait a minute that's strange your boyfriend didn't show up on the photograph.'

Christiana: "That's because he didn't want to take the photograph."

Photographer: "Oh well I take another then and throw this one away."

Meadow: "No. I want to keep this photograph."

Photographer: "Well okay and don't worry I won't charge you for the photograph. If you two don't mind if I take two photographs one for you to keep and the other one to promote in my store so everyone in the city would like to have their photographs taken."

Christiana: "Whatever..."

Photographer: "Oh wonderful! Okay, one two three. Okay, give me a minute to get the photograph developed."

The photographer went into his shop and Christiana and Meadow continue their conversation.

Meadow: "How did your father even meet your mother anyway?"

Christiana: "From what I've been told my mother was a 9th grader and my father was a faculty member at a different high school."

Meadow: "Faculty member?"

Christiana: "You know someone who isn't a teacher but has a school-related job."

Meadow: "I see..."

Christiana: "My father was a typist but he was also a substitute teacher when a teacher is unable to attend school. So, when my mother went to that school to do an errand for a teacher, she met my father then afterward they started dating for a year. Sometime later on my mother was pregnant and after she told my father he left without leaving a letter or anything it's as if he vanished into thin air never to be heard of again."

Meadow: "I don't understand why a teacher would want a relationship with a student? Honestly what was going on in your father's head?"

Christiana: "You're the one to talk let's not forget you had sex for the first time with a twelve-year-old girl so you have no room to talk about my father."

Meadow: "Your right and..." He wraps his arms around her body and whispers to her ear as he slips his hand on her thigh under her skirt. "You enjoy every moment when we made love together for the first time and we can do it after we go back home..."

Christiana: "Well...Well... Mem Mem you quite a horny wolf beast fine once we go back home you can please me for as long as you want."

She takes his hand off her then the photographer came back.

Photographer: "Here you go young miss and this time the photograph shows both of you."

Christiana: "Thanks..."

The photographer hands her the photograph.

Photographer: "Don't worry I won't charge you for the photograph I am a man of my word."

Christiana: "That's kind of you after all not a lot of people would say that."

Photographer: "That is true young miss but I want you to tell all your friends and everyone else in the city so they can get their photographs taken here."

They continue walking then notice something isn't right.

Meadow: "I see that man took a good photograph."

Christiana: "I can tell hmm? We're being watched."

Meadow: "I can tell..."

Christiana: "Well you deal with it I'm going home."

Meadow: "Why?"

Christiana: "Because I'm tired and I don't feel like it."

Meadow: "Fine..." Meadow walks towards to the person watching them wondering who it is. "Who the hell are you?"

Corey: "I'm wondering the same thing."

Meadow: "Hm?"

Corey: "Don't tell me your Randy with a new face."

Meadow: "Randy?"

Corey: "I thought I told you to never go near my daughter."

Meadow: "I'm not Randy."

Corey: "Huh?"

Meadow: "My name is Meadow."

Corey: "Meadow? Sorry, it's just that I'm not sure what my daughter looks like now I just assumed that girl you were with was her. I only know what she looked like when she was a little girl. I'm just trying to find her before he could but I don't know if that girl you were with is her."

Meadow: "Do you know your daughter's name?"

Corey: "Yes her name is Christiana."

Meadow: "I know her."

Corey: "Really? What does she look like?"

Meadow: "Here."

Meadow shows Corey the photograph of Christiana.

Corey: "She's so beautiful just like her mother. It wouldn't surprise me if all the boys chase after her. I probably would have chased those boys away."

Meadow (Thinking): "I would kill any man who would try to get in her pants I'm the only one who would get in her pants."

Corey: "How come you were with her? Are you a friend?"

Meadow: "I'm her boyfriend... *mutters* so to speak..."

Corey: "Huh?"

Meadow: "Nothing."

Corey: "Her boyfriend huh? Well, I see she did get something by Amelia besides her hair."

Meadow: "What do you mean?"

Corey: "Dating an older man I mean I can tell that you're a young adult."

Meadow: "Oh... (thinking) if only he knew I'm a lot older than I look."

Corey: "Amelia was something else."

Meadow: "How come you're talking about her? It's not like you still love her."

Corey: "I still do love her even though she's dead...I could never love anyone else but her."

Meadow: "Then why did you leave her sixteen years ago?"

In the meantime, Christiana went to visit her Aunt Jody for the first time in years. She went to the front door and knock on the door.

Aunt Jody: "Who is it?"

Christiana: "Your niece..."

Jody opens the door.

Aunt Jody: "If this is some kind of prank, I swear I'll... it's really you... C-Christiana..."

Christiana: "Who else would it be?"

Aunt Jody: "Oh my... I haven't seen you in years you've surely have grown a lot."

Christiana: "I have I didn't really notice."

Aunt Jody: "I just can't believe I-"

Christiana: "Do you know a man named Randy?"

Aunt Jody: "I don't all I know is that he is your mom's ex-boyfriend."

Christiana: "Oh..."

Aunt Jody: "You'll have to ask Hillary I know she still lives here."

Christiana: "Can you tell me where?"

Aunt Jody: "Last I heard she lived at Whitelight Street."

Christiana: "Fine..."

She left her Aunt's house and went to Hillary's house.

Christiana: "Hey..."

Man: "What can I help you with?"

Christiana: "I'm looking for Hillary Willmans house do you know which one is it?"

Man: "Yes it's the polka dot house over there."

Christiana: "Thanks..."

Christiana walks up to the house and knocks on the door.

Hillary: "Who is it?"

Christiana: "Take a guess."

Hillary: "If it's a saleswoman I'm not buying any of your cra—"

Christiana: "I guess you don't remember me huh?"

Hillary: "Oh my god! Christiana?"

Christiana: "Yes..."

Hillary: "Oh my god! I haven't seen you since you were a baby. Oh! You sure have grown a lot especially your breast you know your mom barely had any and I'm surprised you have a lot. Oh, come in come in."

Christiana: "Thanks..."

They went inside the house and walked to the living room.

Hillary: "You look just like your dad but you have your mom's hair."

Christiana: "Do you know a man named Randy?"

Hillary: "Oh god... Yes, I do... Why do you want to know?"

Christiana: "He came to my house claiming to be my father and I know it's not true."

Hillary: "Oh brother... He's Amelia's ex-boyfriend well I wouldn't call him her boyfriend because they only went on one date."

Christiana: "And?"

Hillary: "Amelia was right about his reputation he can't keep his hands to himself nor doesn't take no for an answer but the strangest thing about him is that when a girl dates him that girl disappears and never heard from again; however, I'm glad that didn't happen to Amelia."

Christiana: "Really?"

Hillary: "Yeah a few days after that date she met your dad and well before she knew it she was pregnant with you inside her but I don't really know the rest after that so you'll have to ask your aunt about that."

Christiana: "Anyways thanks for the information."

Hillary: "Oh! Christiana, I forgot I'm sorry for your loss... Amelia was a great friend."

Christiana: "I appreciate your condolences..."

Christiana left Hillary's house and went back to her aunt's house.

Aunt Jody: "Did you find Hillary?"

Christiana: "Yes..."

Aunt Jody: "Oh good but why did you want to know him?"

Christiana: "Because he came to my house claiming to be my father."

Aunt Jody: "Oh no..."

Then she remembers what Corey told her a day after he left the city.

Corey: "Listen Jody I don't want my daughter to know anything about Randy."

Aunt Jody: "Why? He seems like a nice guy."

Corey: "Trust me Jody I think he's dangerous he threaten me to leave Amelia before she was pregnant and I think maybe he might have been the one who told the teachers at her school that she's pregnant."

Aunt Jody: "Okay I believe you after all you're my little brother."

Christiana: "Somethings bothering you is it?"

Jody snaps out of it.

Aunt Jody: "Oh nothing's wrong."

Christiana: "Tell me about my father."

Aunt Jody: "Hm? What do you want to know?"

Christiana: "About him and my mother."

Aunt Jody: "Oh! Well, I can say what Corey told me about how he met Amelia it seems so long ago."

Then a flashback to May 3rd, 1827.

Amelia: "How many times I have to tell you, Randy? I will never ever go on another date with you as long as I live!!!"

Randy: "Why not Amelia?"

Amelia: "After what you tried to pull it's obvious that you want lust and nothing more."

Randy: "But..."

Amelia: "Look I want a guy who wants love so get that in your head."

Teacher: "Amelia?"

Amelia: "Yes ma'am?"

Teacher: "I need you to take this to Stormy Academy for me I believe this package was sent here by mistake."

Amelia: "Ma'am what about my next class? I won't be able to be back on time."

Teacher: "Don't worry I already told your P.E. teacher that you'll be late."

Amelia: "Okay and Randy don't even think about stalking me there either! I better hurry because today is a free day and I don't wanna miss it."

Amelia left her school to deliver the package to the school that was the west part of the city then went into the school and trying to find the faculty office.

Girl Student: "Are you lost?"

Amelia: "Yes."

Girl Student: "I can tell by the uniform that you're from the public school."

Amelia: "I am I'm looking for the faculty office."

Girl Student: "Oh. All you have to do is go down that hallway and it'll be at the second door towards the end."

Amelia: "Thanks!"

She walks down the hallway and enters the faculty office then she noticed a man.

Corey: "How many times I have to tell you students that this room is off-limits to students?"

Amelia: "That would be the case if I'm a student here."

Corey then looks up and notices Amelia then realizes how beautiful she is.

Corey: "Sorry about that it's just that some students here come here just because I'm in here."

Amelia: "It's understandable after all you're a student here too right?"

Corey: "Actually I may not look like it but I'm really a faculty worker."

Amelia: "Then you must be a lot older than you look."

Corey: "I'm not that old I'm just twenty-three."

Amelia: "That's too good to be true you look like you're a student still."

Corey: "I kind of get that a lot ever since I graduated high school people find it hard to believe that I'm not a student."

Amelia: "I see." She looks down and blushes then realized she still have the package. "Oh! I forgot why I came here I believe this was sent to my school by mistake."

Corey: "Thanks."

They both chuckled and looked down on the ground blushing.

Amelia: "Anyways I-I-I better get going my class just started and I don't want to be too late for the class."

Corey: "Y-Y-You know I can help you get out of the building so you won't get lost."

Amelia: "O-O-Okay..." They both nervously walked to get all the way to the door. "Um... t-t-thank you."

Corey: "No problem um...what is your name?"

Amelia: "A-Amelia... Amelia Collins."

Corey: "What cute name for a cute girl. My name is Corey Phoenix."

Amelia: "Well it's nice to meet you."

Corey: "Likewise...anyways do you want to go out and get some coffee sometime?"

Amelia: "I love too when?"

Corey: "How about Friday afternoon at the Creek Cafe?"

Amelia: "That sounds great."

Corey: "So it's a date?"

Amelia: "I mean we don't have to call it that if you want to."

Corey: "It's fine I don't mind it being called a date."

Amelia: "Bye! I'll see you on Friday!!"

Amelia runs to the train station as Corey waves to her goodbye then she manages to get back to school only a few minutes late for her class.

P.E Teacher: "There you are Ms. Collins."

Amelia: "Sorry I didn't mean to take so long."

P.E. Teacher: "I know you're a student worker but work on your own time."

Amelia: "I'm sorry the teacher I'm assigned to suddenly gave work at the last minute."

P.E. Teacher: "I told her not to do that but she keeps on doing it and you've been late for class for almost two weeks."

Amelia: "I'm really am sorry ma'am."

P.E. Teacher: "Since today is a free day you have two options play ball or sit out."

Amelia: "I think I'll sit out since I practically ran here."

Amelia sits down on the bleachers and her best friend walks up to her.

Hillary: "Your hiding something."

Amelia: "I am not!"

Hillary: "See! Right there you're blushing your totally hiding something so tell me!!"

Amelia: "I can't tell now I'll tell you when school is over."

Hillary: "Fine...ugh you sure like to hide things from me."

Amelia: "I don't hide things from you."

Hillary: "Yes you do you're doing it right now."

Amelia: "Ugh! Explain to me why I'm stuck with you?"

Hillary: "Because we're best friends and you love me."

Amelia: "Yeah...Yeah..." After sometime school ended and Amelia and Hillary were walking to the train station. "Why are you walking with me this way? Your house is in the opposite direction."

Hillary: "I know but I want to know what your hiding."

Amelia: "Okay fine I'll tell you because if I don't I'll never hear the end of it."

Hillary: "Yay!"

Amelia: "I have a date Friday afternoon."

Hillary: "Oh my god! Really?! With who?"

Amelia: "You don't know him."

Hillary: "Does he go to another school?"

Amelia: "You can say that."

Hillary: "Come on Amelia we've been friends since middle school you gotta tell me."

Amelia: "Okay... He's an older guy."

Hillary: "Older huh? Is he a man?"

Amelia: "Yes he is."

Hillary: "Oh I'm so happy for you but be careful."

Amelia: "How come?"

Hillary: "I'm not sure if this is true but I heard older men are experienced."

Amelia: "You mean..."

Hillary: "Yeah older men know how to get a girl to be in bed with him well that's what my adopted older sister told me but I think she just told me that to scare me or something."

Amelia: "Oh.."

Hillary: "She even told me that older men who are married now days commit adultery with younger girls and again I think she's just trying to scare me so I wouldn't date older guys."

Amelia: "It's fine..."

Hillary: "Oh you don't look so good I'm sorry if I spooked you I was just looking out for you."

Amelia: "Thanks Hill... I appreciate it."

A few days went by and it's Friday afternoon and Amelia was on her way to her date.

Corey: "There you are."

Amelia: "Sorry I was late."

Corey: "You weren't late you got here in time."

Corey glazes at Amelia seeing how beautiful she looked.

Amelia: "Is there something on me?"

Corey: "No! nothing at all."

Amelia: "I was wondering since you were looking at me."

Corey: "Oh! It's just that you look so beautiful."

Amelia: "Really?! Because I didn't dress up, I just put on a nice shirt and some pants."

Corey: "It's kinda weird I'm used to seeing you in your uniform."

Amelia: "Yeah shall we go in?"

Corey: "Ladies first."

Amelia: "What a gentleman."

They went inside the café and sat down at the table and order their drinks.

Corey: "I'll have a coffee with no caffeine and with milk please."

Café Clerk: "Okay how about you miss?"

Amelia: "I'll have black coffee."

Café Clerk: "Okay I'll both your orders in a minute."

Corey: "You drink black coffee."

Amelia: "Yes."

Corey: "Aren't you a little too young for strong coffee?"

Amelia: "Hey! I'm used to it."

Corey: "It's not good for you to drink that kind of coffee at your age."

Amelia: "Oh really?"

Corey: "Yeah try coffee without all the caffeine in it."

Amelia: "Okay."

The café clerk came back with their coffee.

Café Clerk: "Here is your coffee sir and here is yours miss."

Amelia: "Thank you."

Corey: "Thanks." Corey grabs Amelia's cup and poured the cream and milk in the coffee then sirs the coffee. "Tada now try it."

Amelia: "Alright but it'll probably taste the same." She took a sip of her coffee. "Oh wow! That tastes really good!"

Corey: "See it's much better without the caffeine."

Amelia: "Well... it looks like I'll never doubt you again."

Corey: "So how do your parents feel you know going on a date with an older man? Because you know some people think it's wrong but I believe that age doesn't really matter when it comes to dating."

Amelia: "Actually I don't have any parents..."

Corey: "Oh no! Did they abandon you? I mean that is an awful thing to do."

Amelia: "No! They didn't abandon me!"

Corey: "Were you adopted?"

Amelia: "No... my parents died in a car crash when I was nine..."

Corey: "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have brought it up..."

Amelia: "It's fine. I barely remember it anyways I just remember my mom leaving the house to take my dad to the hospital after that it was the last time, I never saw them."

Corey: "Now I feel really bad I shouldn't have asked about them if it made you sad."

Amelia: "It's fine really I swear so...what about you? Are you from here too?"

Corey: "No not really. I'm from New Trailway."

Amelia: "Really? Where all the painters go there to be artists'?"

Corey: "That same city and state."

Amelia: "That's amazing it must be a bigger city than it is here."

Corey: "It is but I never been to a city that shines so beautiful like rhinestones until now."

Amelia: "I see."

Corey: "My big sister came here before I did, she told me how wonderful this city is."

Amelia: "You have a sister?"

Corey: "Well an older sister and a little half-sister."

Amelia: "Half-sister?"

Corey: "You know siblings with the same dad and different mom or same mom and different dad."

Amelia: "I know what half-siblings are."

Corey: "Anyways my mom had an affair with a friend of my dad's while he was away in Layira for two years. I know what my mom did was wrong but she couldn't help it he kept breaking his promise to her to come back home to see her. Then the next thing she knew she was pregnant and after she gave birth to my sister, she took her to an adoption agency so my dad would never know about the affair until I was nineteen and my sister came to see our mom. Her name is Marcia and she ran away from her adopted parents and she wanted to know her real parents and my father may not look like it at the time but he was furious after finding out about the affair. After meeting her he started beating my mom for what she did I wanted to stop him I and my big sister tried but we got hurt by the process. My big sister couldn't take it anymore and left then my dad took it too far one night he hit her and lost her balance at the staircase and died so I called the police and my dad went to jail after I buried my mom I left and came here."

Amelia: "Oh My God! My so sorry... I didn't think you had it ruff."

Corey: "Hey it's nothing to worry about it was a long time ago."

Amelia: "Yeah."

After some time they continue on talking and were having a good time together.

Corey: "Are you serious?"

Amelia: "Yes I swear Randy kept trying to get in my pants honestly I think that's what guys think about nowadays."

Corey: "Not all guys."

Amelia: "That's true you've been a gentleman this whole time."

Corey: "Yeah anyways I forgot to ask how come you got here on time? I kinda expected you to be a little late since you have school today."

Amelia: "Actually I don't it's always the first Friday of the beginning of the month that I don't have to go to school because it's a free day."

Corey: "Really? I'm convinced that I think you skipped school today *laughs*."

Amelia: "I'm telling the truth!"

Corey: "*laughs* Relax I'm just teasing you."

Amelia: "Oh ha-ha very funny."

Then a couple of hours went by and they left the café and went to the train station.

Corey: "I had a great time."

Amelia: "Yeah me too."

Corey: "So... um... Do you mind if I kiss you?"

Amelia: "Um...! I-I don't mind if you kiss me." They closed their eyes and Corey kissed Amelia on the lips and Amelia felt overwhelmed and heart tightened not realizing that she loves him. "Oh wow! That was something..."

Corey: "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable."

Amelia: "It's fine I mean that was my first kiss so..."

Corey: "Seriously?"

Amelia: "Yes anyways my train is here."

Corey: "Wait! Before you go what's your mobile number."

Amelia: "I don't have one."

Corey: "Oh... I was hoping if we could go on another date sometime."

Amelia: "When?"

Corey: "Sometime in the weekend okay?"

Amelia: "Okay!"

After the weekend flew by it was Monday morning and Hillary wanted to know what happened last Friday.

Hillary: "So how did the date go?"

Amelia: "Hillary it went incredible I didn't think that I..."

Hillary: "You what?"

Amelia: "Had my first kiss."

Hillary: "Really!?"

Amelia: "Yeah."

Hillary: "That's great Amelie's!"

Amelia: "He even asked me out on another date."

Hillary: "When? When?"

Amelia: "I don't know yet-"

While they were talking a student from the academy walk towards them.

Academy Student: "Are you, Amelia Collins?"

Hillary: "Hey! What are you doing here? Are you lost or something?"

Academy Student: "No. I'm here to give a note to some girl name Amelia."

Amelia: "I'm Amelia."

Academy Student: "Here this note is for you."

Amelia: "Thanks."

The student hands her the note and the student left then Amelia read the note and found out that it was from Corey.

Corey: "I had a wonderful and I was wondering if you want to go on a date Saturday night if you do then meet me at the gem light square at 9 O'clock if not then don't come ~ Corey"

Hillary: "Is that a love letter I see?"

Amelia: "N-N-NO!! Of course not!"

Hillary: "Then why are you blushing then?"

Amelia: "Well..."

Hillary: "I had a wonderful and I was wondering if you want to go on a date Saturday night."

Amelia: "Hillary! Stop it!"

Hillary: "So he's asking you out on another date huh?"

Amelia: "Yeah..."

Hillary: "Why did he just ask you for your mobile number?"

Amelia: "You know I can't afford a mobile let alone a telephone."

Hillary: "I'll ask my mom to buy you one but it'll probably be around Christmas time though."

Amelia: "It's fine Hillary I kinda don't need one right now I'll get one after we graduate."

Hillary: "You are getting a mobile besides maybe your date will become your boyfriend someday."

Amelia: "Ugh.."

While the week went by Amelia was thinking about if she wanted to go on another date then she made her decision when the weekend came by.

Corey: "I guess she made her mind up."

Amelia: "Surprise!" Corey yelled as he fell on the ground while Amelia was laughing. "Sorry I couldn't help myself I had to scare you."

Corey: "It's not funny I thought I had a heart attack."

Amelia: "Okay I'm sorry it's just that the train was delayed for almost ten minutes and I thought that I could scare you."

Corey: "The train was delayed?"

Amelia: "Yeah supposedly there was a dog that almost got hit by the train I was in luckily the conductor stopped the train before the dog was hit."

Corey: "Oh I see I thought you might have...well..."

Amelia: "You thought I wouldn't want to see you again."

Corey: "Yeah..."

Amelia: "Well shall start our second date then."

Corey: "Before that here, I got you something."

He hands her a mobile box with a purple mobile with a teal ribbon.

Amelia: "You got me a mobile you didn't have to do that."

Corey: "I figured since hopefully we'll be seeing each other more often I thought you should have one."

Amelia: "You know my best friend has been telling to get one but I thought that I should get one once I graduate."

Corey: "You need one now since of all of the abductions lately and plus you're a young girl you'll never know what will happen to you and you won't be able to reach the phone booth in time if anything happens. I think your friend wants you to get one so she won't have to worry about you because you live alone. You know it's almost as if she's your sister."

Amelia: "Yeah like an annoying protective sister."

Corey: "Shall we go to the movies."

Amelia: "Indeed we shall."

They went to the movie theater after a couple of hours they went to get dinner at a restaurant then afterward went to Amelia's house and went upstairs to her room and made love.

Corey: "I'm sorry."

Amelia: "For what?"

Corey: "For you know going all the way I mean you must have regretted it."

Amelia: "No I don't I'm glad my first time is with you after all I know in my heart that I will never regret it."

After that a year went by and Hillary and Amelia were walking home from school.

Hillary: "You are so lucky Amelie's."

Amelia: "Oh really."

Hillary: "Yes you have a handsome boyfriend who is such a gentleman."

Amelia: "He is really great."

Hillary: "Hey does he have any friends or any brothers?"

Amelia: "His friends are at his hometown in New Trailway and he only has sisters well one sister and a half-sister."

Hillary: "Aw no fair I wouldn't mind having an older boyfriend."

Amelia: "Well to tell you the truth I'm gonna go with him to meet his sister."

Hillary: "His sister? Shouldn't you meet his parents?"

Amelia: "His mom died and he rather not see his dad ever again."

Hillary: "Oh anyways I'm gonna spend the night at your house."

Amelia: "Why?"

Hillary: "Because you can't be trusted to be left alone anymore."

Amelia: "Oh ha-ha very funny Hill."

Hillary: "It's a gift."

They went inside and Amelia changed clothes before going to meet up with Corey.

Amelia: "So what do you think?"

Hillary: "Cute but let's take the ribbon off."

Amelia: "Why?"

Hillary: "See you look great."

Then someone knocked on the door and Amelia went to open the door.

Amelia: "That must be Corey! Hey, you're here!"

Corey: "I thought I should pick you up."

Amelia: "How sweet are you!"

Hillary: "So this is the mysterious boyfriend I've been hearing about."

Amelia: "Yes... Corey this is Hillary my best friend."

Corey: "The famous Hillary I'm glad I got to meet you, thanks for watching over Amelia for me."

Hillary: "It's no problem she like my other half."

Corey: "I see she tells me that your protective of her."

Hillary: "I have to after all she doesn't really have anyone else before she met you of course. So, tell me do you have any friends I would like to meet since Amelia got the right idea to date an older guy?"

Amelia: "Hillary!"

Corey: "Sorry my friends are at my hometown and I don't really have any here though some staff members ask me out for drinks and I always turn them down."

Hillary: "Aww..."

Amelia: "We better get going."

Corey: "Yeah we should it was nice meeting you, Hillary."

Hillary: "It was nice meeting you too and don't even think about having sex here tonight cause I'm staying the night here."

Corey: "Huh?!"

Amelia: "Let's just go!!"

Corey: "Hillary seems nice."

Amelia: "I'm sorry about her she always finds a reason to embarrass me."

Corey: "I think that is what best friends do."

Amelia: "No doubt about it."

Corey: "Well it's a good thing that I'm letting you meet my sister."

Amelia: "Why is that?"

Corey: "Because I met your sister so it makes sense even though Hillary is like a sister to you right?"

Amelia: "Yeah you have a point."

They went to Jody's house and knocked on the door.

Jody: "Who is it?"

Corey: "Your only little brother."

Jody: "Oh come in! I'm just in the kitchen."

They walked inside.

Corey: "You shouldn't leave your door unlock you never know when a criminal will walk in."

Jody: "I knew you were coming so I left the door unlock."

Corey: "Anyways I bring my girlfriend here to meet you."

Jody: "Oh! The famous Amelia I've been hearing so much about..."

Jody walks in the living room looking surprised after seeing Amelia.

Corey: "I figure that you would like her after meeting her."

Jody: "Core can we talk upstairs?"

Amelia: "Is there something wrong?"

Jody: "Oh nothing's wrong I just want to talk to my brother for a bit. It's nice to meet you Amelia really it is."

Jody pulls Corey's arm and takes him upstairs to talk.

Corey: "Why are you taking me up here?"

Jody: "Are you out of your right mind?!"

Corey: "What?"

Jody: "Dating a high school student! Are you crazy?!"

Corey: "No."

Jody: "Don't you know what will happen if anyone finds out about you two!"

Corey: "No."

Jody: "You can lose your job or worse!"

Corey: "I don't see the big deal."

Jody: "What?!"

Corey: "Age is just a number why should it matter when it comes to love."

Jody: "It does in this case!"

Corey: "Listen, Jo, Amelia and I have been keeping our relationship a secret, no one knows about us being together anyways plus we always go on dates on the weekend where no one from her school or mine would see us."

Jody: "What if something happens to her?!"

Corey: "Huh?"

Jody: "What if you did something to her that you can't take it back?!"

Corey: "I don't know..."

Jody: "Speaking your older sister I'm happy for you but speaking like a mom just be careful."

As they were walking downstairs and noticed Amelia almost falling.

Corey: "Amelia!"

Jody: "Hey are you okay?"

Amelia: "I'm fine just a bit tired..."

Jody: (thinking) "I hope she's just tried."

Corey: "Are you sure that you're okay?"

Amelia: "I'm fine really! I just feel a little nauseous that's all."

Jody: "So Amelia how does your dad feel about you dating an older man?"

Amelia: "Actually I don't have a dad or a mom...they died in a car accident when I was nine it's just been me, myself, and I."

Jody: "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know."

Amelia: "It's fine really it's no big deal about mentioning them I don't mind talking about them."

Jody: "I see."

Amelia: "Sometimes I can feel that they are watching me in heaven seeing how I'm doing."

After sometime Amelia and Corey left Jody's house and are going about to Amelia's house.

Jody: "I hope she's just not feeling well and not something else. Ugh! My brother can be reckless sometimes!"

As they were walking Corey decided to tell Amelia what happened earlier.

Corey: "Hey Amelie's."

Amelia: "That's funny I usually let Hillary call me that."

Corey: "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-"

Amelia: "Relax I was only kidding. So what is it?"

Corey: "I was going to say sorry for how my sister reacted is just that she is a bit overprotective of me."

Amelia: "It's understandable since she is the oldest."

Corey: "I know anyways are you still nauseous?"

Amelia: "Just a little bit it might have been something I ate."

Corey: "You know I was thinking about us."

Amelia: "Yeah?"

Corey: "I thought that once you finish high school we can date out in public and we don't have to worry about anyone finding out about us since you'll be seventeen before then."

Amelia: "I can't wait to show off my man."

They stop for a second and shared a kiss after that it was Monday and Amelia and Hillary are at gym class and Amelia wasn't feeling too good.

Hillary: "Hey are you okay?"

Amelia: "I'm fine I just-"

She throws up on the ground.

Student 1: "Ew!"

Student 2: "AH! She threw up on my shoes!"

Gym Teacher: "What's going on here?"

Student 1: "Amelia just threw up."

Gym Teacher: "Ms. Willmans take Ms. Collins to the infirmary."

Hillary: "Yes ma'am come on Amelie's..."

Hillary takes Amelia to the school's infirmary.

Nurse: "Hello girls is there something wrong?"

Hillary: "Yes ma'am Amelia suddenly threw up at gym class."

Nurse: "Okay Ms. Collins I'm gonna ask you some questions okay."

Amelia: "Okay..."

Nurse: "Is this the first time you vomited?"

Amelia: "No..I was throwing up for almost the entire weekend."

Nurse: "Okay have you had any craving?"

Amelia: "Yes."

Nurse: "Okay one more question, have you had a visit from Ms. Flo?"

Amelia: "No I haven't had my period lately."

Nurse: "Well that pretty much answers it. I believe that you're pregnant."

Amelia: "What?!"

Nurse: "But I think you should go see a doctor to confirm it. If it's okay with you can I make you an appointment with an obstetrician-gynecologist today?"

Amelia: "It's fine..."

Nurse: "Would you like me to go with you to the doctor's?"

Amelia: "Sure..."

A few hours later and Amelia along with Hillary and the school nurse went to the obstetrician-gynecologists and afterward Amelia to the pregnancy test is waiting for the results.

Hillary: "What are you gonna do when the test shows positive?"

Amelia: "Nothing I'm gonna have the baby no matter what."

Hillary: "You know my parents and Cattie believes that I would have a baby before you do wait till I prove them wrong."

Amelia: "You sure know how to liven things up."

Hillary: "You know if you are really pregnant, we'll have to tell my parents."

Amelia: "What?! Why?!"

Hillary: "Because you'll need someone to help you go through with this and my parents are the only ones we can turn to right now. Besides if Cattie finds out she will tell them anyway so we might as well tell them now before they find out from someone else."

Amelia: "Fine..."

School Nurse: "Amelia?"

Amelia: "Yes ma'am."

School Nurse: "Your test came back positive you're pregnant."

Amelia: "I see."

Hillary: "I'm gonna be a godmother."

Amelia: "I suppose so."

Hillary: "What do you mean suppose so?"

School Nurse: "The obstetrician-gynecologist would like to talk to you about how to prepare for motherhood."

Amelia: "Okay."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "Miss Collins?"

Amelia: "Yes that's me."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "It seems that you've been pregnant for about four weeks. So, are you sure you want to keep the baby? There is an option to put it up for adoption if you want too. There is an option for abortion but I rather not ask you that I do believe a child should live even before it grows from a fetus to a baby."

Amelia: "No ma'am I want to keep the baby and raise."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "You're still a growing girl and you want to keep it."

Amelia: "Yes! I have thought of being a mother when I'm a grown woman but I didn't think it would happen so soon."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "Okay then you'll have to come back here every month once you're a month pregnant to a routine check-up. Once you have a pregnant stomach, you'll be able to have an ultrasound to see your baby. In the meantime, you should know that you can't drink any alcohol or smoke cigarettes because it will cause a birth defect on the child or death."

Amelia: "It's fine I don't drink or smoke anyways."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "I can tell but I have to tell this to every woman who is pregnant. Anyways you don't need to overdo it with any activities."

Amelia: "Oh okay."

Obstetrician-Gynecologist: "Well that's all you need to know for now."

Amelia: "Okay thank you."

After that, some time went by and it's almost nighttime and Amelia couldn't wait to tell Corey the big news.

Corey: "I should let you know I can't stay the night tonight."

Amelia: "How come?"

Corey: "Marcia wants me to help her do wedding invitations tomorrow."

Amelia: "Invitations? Who's getting married?"

Corey: "She is."

Amelia: "That's wonderful! So, I'll get to meet her?"

Corey: "Yes but it'll have to before the wedding though it'll be about nine months when the wedding happens."

Amelia: "Speaking of months."

Corey: "Hm?"

Amelia: "I found out that we'll have a little visitor soon."

Corey: "Huh?"

Amelia: "Corey...I'm pregnant!"

Corey: "What?!"

Amelia: "Actually I've been pregnant for four weeks and I had no idea about it until today."

Corey: "Have an abortion..."

Amelia: "What?!"

Corey: "Get rid of the child..."

Amelia: "No!! I'm not!"

Corey: "Then give the baby away for adoption."

Amelia: "No!! I'm keeping the baby and raising it!"

Corey: "You're a child yourself how can you manage a child of your own?"

Amelia: "I can if I try."

Corey: "Amelia I-"

Amelia: "Corey there is nothing you can say to convince me to give the child up. I want to have your child have you ever thought of being a parent."

Corey: "No I haven't because I'm not ready to be a parent and neither are you."

Corey left Amelia's house and she feels hurt afterward Corey went to Jody's house.

Jody: "Corey! What's wrong? You look like you were in a heated argument."

Corey: "I was...Amelia and I got into a fight..."

Jody: "A fight? What were you two fighting about?"

Corey: "Okay so don't get mad me for what I'm about to tell you..."

Jody: "What did you do?"

Corey: "I got Amelia pregnant..."

Jody: "You WHAT?!"

Corey: "I didn't know and neither did she."

Jody: "How long is she?"

Corey: "Four weeks..."

Jody: "Oh God! I told you that you would do something to her that you can't take back."

Corey: "I didn't mean for it to happen it just happened even Amelia had no idea that she was pregnant for four weeks."

Jody: "Tell her to have the baby up for adoption."

Corey: "She won't do it...She made her mind up and keeping the baby."

Jody: "Alright then since she won't give the baby up then leave her."

Corey: "What?! I can't! I-"

Jody: "She can hide the fact that she's pregnant but that will only last a while then when she has the pregnant stomach people will be asking her who the father is. Do you really want her in that position?"

Corey: "I can't leave her! She's carrying my child."

Jody: "You don't have a choice! Just tell your boss that you have to leave because of an emergency and that you won't be able to come back."

Corey: "I-"

Jody: "If anyone finds out that you're the father then they will assume it was rape and arrest you maybe even taking the baby away for her. Do you really want to see her crying her eyes out because of this?"

Corey: "I don't but I can't just leave her without saying anything."

Jody: "I think it would be for the best if you leave this city and don't say anything to her."

Corey: "Fine..."

Then the next day Amelia was walking home from school talking to Hillary on her mobile phone.

Amelia: "Hillary you don't get it this was our first fight and over a baby of all things."

Hillary: "Maybe he didn't mean anything of what he said it was probably the heat of the moment."

Amelia: "Maybe..."

Hillary: "I'm sure he probably blew off some steam."

Amelia: "Yeah anyways I gotta go."

Hillary: "Alright then I'll email you later bye."

Amelia: "Bye." Amelia went inside her house and felt something off then picked up the spare key that was on the table. "That's weird it's the key I gave to Corey...What's it doing here?"

Then she walked upstairs and noticed the clothes Corey had were all gone then she went downstairs and collapsed slowly on the ground crying because the man she loved left her. Afterward, it went back to the present.

Aunt Jody: "From what Hillary told me your mom cried for days it hurt me to see her that way then after sometime after you were born you might already know she started drinking wine to cope with her sorrows. I know she didn't drink every night but when she thinks about my brother then she'll drink. I hate to see her like that so I had to tell her."

Then it was December 1st, 1832 and Jody went to Amelia's house for the first time in a couple of years.

Amelia: "Jody! I didn't think I get to see you."

Aunt Jody: "It's been a while."

Amelia: "It has."

Aunt Jody: "Where's Christiana?"

Amelia: "Taking a nap hard to believe that my four-year-old daughter is already independent I mean she fixes her own food, get herself dress, and combs her own hair it's like she doesn't need me."

Aunt Jody: "She will need you it just has to take time anyways I came here to talk to you about my brother."

Amelia: "What about that bastard?"

Aunt Jody: "The truth is that I told him to leave."

Amelia: "You WHAT?! How could you do that?! What were you thinking?!"

Aunt Jody: "I was thinking of what was best for Corey."

Amelia: "No! You were thinking of what was best for you! An older sister wouldn't tell their younger sibling to leave that person at all. You are selfish and I don't want you to come near me or this house again."

Aunt Jody: "Amelia, please! I-"

Amelia: "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!"

She left the house and Amelia drop-down crying then heard footsteps.

Young Christiana: "Mother...Who's Corey?"

Amelia: "He's a wonderful man and he's your dad."

Young Christiana: "I figured as much that I did have a father."

After that, it went back to the present.

Aunt Jody: "Your mom had every right to be angry at me. She was right I was being selfish but who knows what would have happened if he stayed."

Christiana: (thinking) "I knew it would be boring but not that boring."

Aunt Jody: "Anyways I never told your mom this but I did tell your dad about you the day you were born."

Christiana: "Is that so?"

Aunt Jody: "Yes and I guess they really were made for each other since Corey was hoping that Amelia would give birth to a girl and she wanted a girl."

Christiana: "Looks like I got what I came here for."

Aunt Jody: "Okay then you're welcome to come back and visit."

Just as Christiana left Randy slipped in the house.

Randy: "So that girl was right that bastard is her father."

Aunt Jody: "What are you doing here?!"

Randy: "What a touching story but since your related to him I guess all I have to do is to use my ring on you. I don't usually use it in a middle-age woman but I guess you'll do."

Aunt Jody: "AHH!!!!"
