Demon Hunters Part 5

It was a cold night in November and there was a man with a fox demon in its demon beast form eating a person.

Malik: "How many times I have to tell you? You annoying mutt save some for me understand."

Fox Demon: "*Growls*..."

Malik: "It's a good thing I know how to negotiate right kid."

Niles: "You said if I bring people here, you'll let me go right?"

Malik: "You shouldn't trust demons' kid we lie all the time anyway I want you to bring me a hunter."

Niles: "Hunter?"

Malik: "Yes I heard there is one here, a vampire I always wanted to eat the flesh of a vampire."

The next day came and its lunchtime at school.

Sarah: "Hey Christiana!"

Christiana: "Hey..."

Sarah: "Wanna go out and have lunch with us?"

Celia: "It would be great if you came with us."

Marcie: "Yeah!"

Christiana: "Sorry I made plans already."

Marcie: "It's understandable."

Sarah: "Yeah I bet some of your classmates already asked you to go to lunch with them."

Celia: "Totally one of the upperclassmen looked at us funny because we came up to this hallway."

Marcie: "Probably because they didn't want us up here since we're freshmen and not juniors."

Ana: "We better get going!"

Sarah: "Alright bye Christiana!"

Marcie: "I'll see you at gym class later!"

Girl Classmate 1: "Will those freshmen learn their place?"

Girl Classmate 2: "Yeah it's bad enough we share gym class with them."

Christiana gets up from her chair and goes to the lunchroom and sits next to one of her classmates.

Christiana: "Fitchpatrick I noticed you're sitting here by yourself."

Niles: "Yes my friends suddenly moved away so..."

Then she remembers her only friend from childhood who she hasn't since in years.

Young Christiana: "Why are you at my house again?"

Young Henry: "Because I know you and I know that all you had to eat was croissants dipped in chocolate and cake."

Young Christiana: "It will be the last thing you say before I kill you girls don't like to be called fat."

Henry gave her a plate of food.

Young Christiana: "Because you're the only person I can tolerate."

Young Henry: "When will your mom be back?"

Young Christiana: "About twenty minutes."

Young Henry: "What is that on your wrist?"

Young Christiana: "Bug bite..."

Young Henry: "Liar..."

Henry took her hand and turn it to see what was on her wrist.

Young Christiana: "You got me it's a vampire mark."

Young Henry: "I thought they exist in books."

Young Christiana: "Well they're real..."

Young Henry: "Then cover your wrist with a ribbon so your mom won't see the bites."

Young Christiana: "Why? She'll just think it's bug bites."

Young Henry: "You can never be too sure of things."

Henry covers her wrist with a ribbon and it's back to the present.

Christiana: "For some people, they are better off without friends."

Niles: "Is that so?"

Christiana: "Yes and I can tell that you're not one of them."

Niles: "Oh if you want to, we can hang out after school and go window browsing*."

*browsing in the store not to buy anything.

Christiana: "I suppose so... but I have something to take care of first."

Niles: "Alright we can meet at the Fontanilla park."

Christiana: "Fine..."

Christiana gets up and leaves.

Niles: "So pretty I wished I asked her out on a date instead of a hang out as friends."

Christiana: "First I have to make an important email."

She pulls out her mobile and emails Johnathan and Nancy then they heard their phones ring while Nancy is at her house and Johnathan is at the cafe.

Johnathan: "An email? Unknown number?"

Police Detective Nancy: "That's weird I don't get emails around this time."

They both read their emails from Christiana.

Christiana: "I need you to come here at Rhinestone City here is the address I want you to meet me at 99374 Milloway Street ~Christiana."

Police Detective Nancy: "How did she get my number?"

Johnathan: "How did she get my number?"

Then the two got in two different train carts and went to the city that shines like rhinestones to meet Christiana after arriving at the city at 3:30 in the afternoon they both noticed each other at the train station.

Police Detective Nancy: "Johnathan! What are you doing here?"

Johnathan: "I should be asking you the same thing."

Police Detective Nancy: "I got an email from Christiana."

Johnathan: "Me too."

Police Detective Nancy: "We'll have to find out why once we meet her at this location."

While Johnathan and Nancy got in a taxi and went to the location to her in the meantime, Christiana went home and changed shoes.

Meadow: "Where are you going?"

Christiana: "Nowhere special but I want you to do something for me Mem Mem."

Meadow: "What is it?"

Christiana: "To go in your coffin."

Meadow: "Why?"

Christiana: "Please Meadow." She unbuttons her white blouse shirt and pins Meadow of the wall. "If you do, I'll do whatever you want to do and you don't have to use that power of yours since I'll do that thing you make me do willingly."

Meadow: "Fine..."

Christiana: "Good Mem Mem." She buttoned her shirt and Meadow went into his coffin waiting until the nightfall then she heard knocking on the door. "It's about time they got here."

Johnathan: "Is this the right place?"

Police Detective Nancy: "It should be but I don't see her."

Christiana: "Finally I was wonder what took you two so long."

Johnathan: "What are you doing in there? That must be your school uniform your wearing it's strange I'm used to seeing you in those other clothes you usually wear."

Police Detective Nancy: "I want to know how did you get my mobile number?"

Johnathan: "I'm wondering that too."

Christiana: "Reliable source."

Johnathan: "Why did you want us to come here for anyway?"

Christiana: "I need you two to babysit."

Police Detective Nancy: "Babysit?"

Johnathan: "Who?"

Christiana: "Meadow."

Johnathan: "Why on earth would we agree to that?"

Christiana: "Because Meadow would just stalk me if I leave without him so he'll be in his coffin."

Police Detective Nancy: "Just where exactly are you going?"

Christiana: "I can't tell you that."

Johnathan: "Why not?"

Christiana: "If I did tell you Meadow will have a tantrum and bust out of his coffin."

After that, she left her house to go to the park while Johnathan and Nancy were puzzled about what happened.

Johnathan: "She's hiding something."

Police Detective Nancy: "Maybe one of us should follow her and other one stay here."

Johnathan: "How do we decide this?"

Police Detective Nancy: "Rock Paper Scissors."

Both: "Rock! Paper! Scissors!"

Police Detective Nancy: "I win."

Johnathan: "Oh great..."

Police Detective Nancy: "She couldn't have gone far so good luck."

Johnathan: "I can't believe I'm doing this babysitting a vampire..."

Nancy left the house and followed Christiana to the park then she spotted her and a boy sitting on the park bench.

Niles: "You know not a lot of people are interested in figurine dolls anymore ever since the creation of plastic dolls no one likes the original thing anymore."

Christiana: "Is that so?"

Niles: "Yes those dolls are so lifelike almost like they were a real person especially the glass eyes it's like that person's real eyes looking at you and reflecting on who you are."

Christiana: "You know they used to use real people for those dolls."

Niles: "R-R-Really?!"

Christiana: "Of course not the eyes and mouth can be deceiving don't believe in what you see and what you hear because you may not like what you saw or hear."

Police Detective Nancy: "She's on a date? But I don't understand why she wants us to watch over Meadow for?"

Niles: "Look this is the doll my mother gave me."

Niles takes the doll out of his backpack.

Christiana: (mutters) "What the hell..."

Niles: "It looks so real doesn't it."

Christiana: "It does."

Niles: "She told me my father made this doll before I was born, he was a natural of creating figurine dolls it was almost as if he was meant to do it. But sadly no one wants to sell his figurines in their stores because they were too lifelike and think it would scare people. Then my father spiraled into depression and killed himself when I was ten."

Christiana: "Oh..."

Niles: "I hope that one day I can make figurine dolls so I can follow my father's footsteps and be a doll maker like him."

Police Detective Nancy: "That doll freaked me out ugh... I hate those realistic figurine dolls. Huh? A black shadow blur? And it's next to that boy no less but why?"

Niles: "Shall we go? I know some stores that have figurine dolls."

Christiana: "I guess..."

They went into the topaz plaza and went into an antique shop and looked around.

Niles: "Look at the pretty doll there I think it's a one of kind doll."

Shop keeper: "It is but no one cares about figurine dolls anymore you know out with old in with new."

Niles: "How much is it?"

Shop keeper: "How about this kid? I give it to you for free."

Niles: "Really?! That's great!"

Shop keeper: "Let me put that in a bag."

Niles: "Oh! Thank you so much!"

They left the store and were walking to the train station.

Christiana: (thinking) "I wonder if he'll take me to that certain spot were all those people died."

Niles: "I'm glad you could come with me to look at figurine dolls."

Christiana: "Yeah..."

Niles: "Um... Do you want to come with me to the amethyst plaza on the diamond tower?"

Christiana: "No thanks... I have to get going anyways."

Niles: "Okay I'll see you tomorrow at school."

Christiana left to go home and Niles felt relieved that he didn't take her there.

Niles: "Oh good! If I took her there that thing will kill her."

Christiana: "Now I know where those people were killed at, luckily the newspaper said that those deaths had one thing in common, Fitchpatrick. I know you were following me so come out of hiding."

Police Detective Nancy: "How did you know?"

Christiana: "I knew the moment after I left the house."

Police Detective Nancy: "I didn't know you going on a date?"

Christiana: "It wasn't a date."

Police Detective Nancy: "I saw you two with my own eyes."

Christiana: "Well the eyes of a person can deceive them by just assuming it's one thing and not the other."

Police Detective Nancy: "What do you mean?"

Christiana: "It means what it means."

After that, she went home and Johnathan was waiting on Nancy's call.

Johnathan: "What's taking her so long to call a phone?"

Christiana: "Alright you can leave now."

Johnathan: "Huh? You're back already?"

Christiana: "Yes and now you can come out now, Meadow."

Meadow: "Finally I don't understand why I have that coffin and I don't even use it."

Johnathan: "I thought that was your bed."

Meadow: "That's a stereotype vampire doesn't use coffins as beds."

Christiana: "Just to find the place where those students were killed at."

Christiana: "It's the Amethyst plaza at the diamond tower."

Meadow: "Shall we go now?"

Christiana: "Let's not tonight how about tomorrow night?"

Meadow: "Don't forget what you promised me."

Christiana: "I only said that so you'll go in your coffin."

Meadow: "You owe me."

Christiana: "Fine."

Coffee Shop Clerk: "You know you can't just drink coffee to solve your problems."

She tries to put alcohol in her drink.

Coffee Shop Clerk: "Hey! I told you before no alcohol in this shop."

Woman: "I can do whatever I want to!"

Coffee Shop Clerk: "Not in this shop! Your banned from this shop!"

Woman: "Fine!"

Meadow noticed the woman leaving then follows her.

Meadow: "Come with me to the ally."

Woman: "I didn't think someone like you would interest in me. Huh?"

Meadow used his power of manipulation.

Meadow: "You will take your arm out and let me drink your blood the last thing you will remember is that you committed suicide." The woman takes her arm out and Meadow drinks her blood from her wrist. "I figured she had vodka in her system I didn't think I can still hold my alcohol since I'm dead. After all, my mother can drink about 17 bottles without getting drunk though I thought to be like my father who's a lightweight."

Afterward, he was about to go home until he heard screaming nearby at the Amethyst plaza.

Teenage Boy: "What the hell is that? AAAAHHHH!!!!!"

Just as he got there it was too late and the demon left already then, he noticed how the boy died with a big scar on him.

Meadow: "Damn! I'm too late but what kind of demon would kill like that? This is very strange I have never seen a kill like that."

All: "Yes, ma'am."

Mrs. Chaperon: "Did you find out which one is working with a demon?"

Christiana: "Yes it's Fitchpatrick."

Mrs. Chaperon: "Really? Mr. Fitchpatrick, there's just no way."

Christiana: "It's true it's the reason why his friends are dead."

Mrs. Chaperon: "I see well I'll let the Trails know you have gotten the bounty."

Christiana: "I appreciate Piper."

Mrs. Chaperon: "Don't forget we're in school you shouldn't call me by my first name."

Christiana: "Of course Mrs. Chaperon."

Mrs. Chaperon: "I can't believe you and Meadow took out Josie the dream demon and Randy the immortal."

Christiana: "Actually Meadow wouldn't let me take her out he said it was his fight to finish."

Mrs. Chaperon: "Oh maybe he said that just because he truly loves you."

Mrs. Chaperon: "I better let you go back to class before anyone gets suspicious."

After some time, the bell rang and school was over then Niles noticed Christiana leaving.

Niles: "Wait! Collins!"

Christiana: "Hm? Fitchpatrick. What do you want?"

Niles: "I'm sorry about earlier you know."

Christiana: "There's nothing to apologize for."

Niles: "Oh.. Hey! Do you want to go and see the glass dolls at the shop with me?"

Christiana: "I suppose but I have to go home first."

Christiana: "Let's meet at the same place we did yesterday."

Christiana was walking home while she was emailing Johnathan and Nancy.

Christiana: "It shouldn't take them long to get to my house."

Meadow: "Your back."

Christiana: "I'm going out and I want you in your coffin."

Meadow: "Why?"

Christiana: "Do you want me to play with you again like yesterday?"

Meadow: "I'll go in..."

Christiana: "I thought so."

Then Nancy and Johnathan knocked on the door and Christiana let them in afterward Meadow went into his coffin and she locks the door.

Christiana: "By the way, this key is the only way he can get out."

Johnathan: "Again with the babysitting."

Christiana: "I have something to do and I can't have Meadow stalking me."

She walks out and went to the park then hours later it became night.

Johnathan: "What could be taking her so long?"

Police Detective Nancy: "She could be still on her date."

Meadow: "SHE WHAT!!!!" He hits the coffin hard with his hands.

Police Detective Nancy: "Jesus F***ing Christ!!!"

Johnathan: "Don't use the savior's name like that!"

Police Detective Nancy: "Well he scared the life out of me!"

Johnathan: "So?"

Meadow: "LET ME OUT!!!" He hits harder and harder trying to get out.

Police Detective Nancy: "Find the damn key!!!"

Johnathan: "I think it would be better if we keep him in there."

Meadow: "I'M GONNA F***ING MURDER YOU BOTH IF YOU DON'T LET ME OUT!!!!" He keeps hitting the coffin as hard as he can so he can get out.

Johnathan: "Okay! Okay! We'll let you out."

Johnathan grabs the key and unlocks the coffin.

Police Detective Nancy: "Now calm down and let's think okay. When I saw her yesterday she and a boy were nearby a star-shaped tower."

Meadow: "I know where. She's at the Amethyst plaza." He vanished away in an instant.

Johnathan: "Why would they be there?"

Police Detective Nancy: "I don't know but we better hop on a train and get there. There have been three murders there."

Johnathan: "That spells demon!"

They left Christiana's house and got on the nearest train to get to the Amethyst plaza meanwhile Niles and Christiana were walking to the plaza then Niles stop walking.

Niles: "Look! I'm not gonna do this anymore okay! I won't let that thing kill any more of my friends!"

Malik: "Big mistake kid."

Malik's nail grew sharp and killed Niles by stabbing him in the chest.

Niles: "AAAAHHHH!!!!"

Malik: "Well...Well... Aren't you a cute one? Too bad I have to kill you."

Just as Malik was about to attack her Meadow suddenly appears and breaks Malik's nails with his sword.

Christiana: "Did you bring my sword?"

Meadow: "Of course."

Meadow hands Christiana her sword.

Malik: "I finally found you hunter but I assumed you work alone since when did you work with a cutie like her."

Meadow: "I guess you haven't heard about my lover then."

Malik: "Lover? (laughs) That's so funny I haven't laughed like that in years. You know it will never work out once you're really hungry you'll kill her in an instant."

Meadow: "It won't happen."

Malik: "Anyways you're not the only one with tricks come out here."

Malik snaps his fingers and the fox demon beast appears in its demonic form.

Fox Demon: "*Growls*"

Christiana: "What is that?

Meadow: "A fox demon beast I have heard of them but this is the first time I have seen one."

Nancy and Johnathan managed to get to the plaza.

Police Detective Nancy: "What is that?!"

Johnathan: "Some sorta beast I guess."

Malik: "Go on attack!"

The fox demon was about to attack then Christiana walks up to it to pet the fox.

Christiana: "You don't want to attack, do you?"

The fox was puzzled as she pets the fox's head.

Johnathan: "What the-?"

Police Detective Nancy: "What is she doing? Whatever that is could kill us all."

Meadow: "She's taming the beast."

Johnathan: "Is that even possible?"

Meadow: "Not really it's nearly impossible for a human to tame such a beast the last time a human tamed a demon beast was a 100 years ago but she's the first one in years to tame a demon beast."

Christiana pets the fox's head and scratches its ear.

Christiana: "Aren't you a good girl? That's all you want is to have someone pet you huh?"

The fox demon beast is already affectionate towards Christiana.

Malik: "You disgraceful mutt! You belong to me! And you do what I tell you to do!"

Malik takes out his whip and tries to punish the fox demon but the fox had enough of him.

Fox Demon: "*Growls* *Roars*"

The fox demon attacks Malik and plans to eat him.

Malik: "Don't you dare! After all, I have done for you!"

Fox Demon: "*Roars*"

Malik: "NO!!! AAAHHHH!!!!!"

The fox demon eats Malik and behind the tower someone witnesses what happened.

Ana: "What is that thing?! Anyways now I know enough about her let see if anyone at school will be praising her after I tell them who she really is. Huh?"

Mrs. Chaperon appears and used memory dust on Ana.

Mrs. Chaperon: "You will think what you saw was just a dream after I finish these words you will fall asleep."

After that Ana falls asleep on the ground and Mrs. Chaperon picks her up and takes her home then the fox demon walks to Christiana giving her affection suddenly Ray appears to take Niles away from the living world so he could move on.

Ray: "Another demon related death this doesn't make my job any easier."

Christiana: "Aren't you adorable when you want attention?"

Ray: "It's her again."

Johnathan: "What are you doing to do with that beast?"

Christiana: "I don't know yet..." As Christiana pets the fox she turned her head and notices Ray. "Who the hell are you?"

Ray: "Huh? You can see me?"

Johnathan: "Who are you talking to? There's no one there."

Police Detective Nancy: "There is someone sorta I can't tell all I see is a black blur."

Johnathan: "A blur?"

Meadow: "That's the lord of death."

Christiana: "Lord of Death? You mean the Grim Reaper."

Ray: "Actually I'm death itself so, in a way I'm not a reaper every once in a while, I come to this world and collect the people who died and take them to where they belong to. What I don't understand is that you can see me? Normally the living can't see me unless it's their time to die and clearly you're not going to die so I don't understand why you can see me unless you're spiritually aware."

Meadow: "Spiritually aware?"

Ray: "You know people who possessed a gift such as seeing the dead. I know you can see me no matter what Meadow because you already died but that girl is a different story. Even that police officer doesn't even know she can see me but not clearly."

Johnathan: "Who are you talking to?"

Police Detective Nancy: "A ghost? Maybe? I'm not sure who it is all I know it's somebody."

Ray: "That woman must have been spiritually aware her whole life but must not have awakened her power until now. Anyways, Christiana, you must have inherited the gift from your family since you have no problem seeing me."

Christiana: "How did you know my name?"

Ray: "You were on my list nine years ago but since your alive now that means Meadow didn't kill you."

Meadow: "How did you know I thought about killing her?"

Ray: "Again it was on my list my notebook it always writes the name of people who might or who are going to die anyway I have to take this boy away from here." Just as Ray left he took Niles to heaven. "This is where you go."

Niles: "I didn't think I.."

Ray: "Be in heaven."

Niles: "Yes after all I did."

Ray: "You didn't do anything that demon tricked you I didn't know what was going on." Niles went to heaven and Ray was puzzled about what happened a few minutes ago. "There was a possibility that maybe Christiana's family on her mother's side were spiritually aware; generations of her family able to see the dead. The police officer could be the first one in her family who got the gift?"

Afterward, Nancy was looking for Niles' student identification while she was doing that Christiana and Meadow left.

Police Detective Nancy: "I better inform his parents about his death anyways you should go home before somebody gets here. Huh?"

Johnathan: "Looks like they already left."

Police Detective Nancy: "Yeah but they could've waited until I was done talking."

Afterward, it was morning and Meadow just woke up and noticed Christiana was still here.

Meadow: "You don't have school?"

Christiana: "I do but I wanted a kiss before I go."

Meadow: "Why do you have a ball on your lap?"

Christiana: "That's not a ball it's only Harmony."

Meadow: "Harmony? Wait that demon beast?"

Christiana: "Yes I gave her a name I figured she liked the name since she said mi when I said it."

Harmony: "Mi!"

Harmony in her fox cub form gets off Christiana's lap and went to eat a slice of apple pie.

Meadow: "I thought the furball only eat humans."

Christiana: "Don't call her that. Apparently, she loves apples and peaches."

Harmony: "Miii!"

Christiana kissed onto Meadow's lips as Harmony finished eating and hops back onto Christiana's lap and cuddles on her.

Christiana: "How adorable."

Meadow: "Get rid of that furball."

Harmony: "*Hisses*"

Christiana: "Are you jealous that I'm giving her attention and not you?"

Meadow: "No."

Christiana: "I sense denial on you." She picks Harmony up off her lap and gets up. "Now Harmony I have to go now."

Harmony: "Mi..."

Christiana: "Will you be a good fox demon and wait for me until I get home?"

Harmony: "MI!"

Christiana: "Okay then I'll be going now."

After Christiana gets off the train and went into the school building and sat down on her desk then when she opened her school bag and Harmony pop's out and she took her out of her bag and all the girls were overcome with joy to see how cute Harmony is.

Girl Classmate 1: "Oh My God! That's the cutest stuff fox I have ever seen!"

Girl Classmate 2: "Yeah it is! Where did you get it?"

Junior Teacher: "Alright class settle down! Class is about to start!"

Christiana: "Excuse me teacher but my pet fox followed me to school do you mind if I take her home."

Junior Teacher: "Alright then Ms. Collins."

Girl Classmate 3: "Where did you get a pet like that?"

Christiana: "An old friend gave me this fox so I don't know where she got her from."

Before Christiana was leaving school to take Harmony home Ana arrived just after the school bell rang.

Freshman Teacher: "Ana you're late!"

Ana: "Sorry I had a hard time getting out of bed."

Girl Classmate 1: (whispers) "Oh please we all know that's not true."

Girl Classmate 2: (whispers) "Yeah she was probably tried to steal some girl's boyfriend again."

Girl Classmate 3: (whispers) "Or maybe she tried to sleep with him."

Freshman Teacher: "Quiet down everyone I have sad news today last night a student from the junior class has died it was Niles Fitchpatrick."

Ana: (thinking) "Fitchpatrick?! I had a dream last night that he died and he's dead today that's weird."

Freshman Teacher: "Now let's have a moment of silence for another student at this school who passed away this week."

Ana: (thinking) "This is crazy! What if what I dreamt was really a dream but it really happened?"

Freshman Teacher: "Alright now let's begin class."

Ana: "Um... Teacher my period just started and I need to go to the bathroom."

Freshman Teacher: "Hurry up and go to the bathroom."

Ana: "Thank you." She left the classroom supposedly going to the bathroom but really went to get some fresh air. "No way! I must be psyching myself out what happened to him must have been a coincidence." Then she spotted Christiana leaving. "Ugh! Of all people it had to be her..."

Christiana: "Now Harmony you shouldn't have done that you know you can't go with me to school."

Harmony: "Mi..."

Christiana: "I bet you didn't want to be apart from me isn't it?"

Harmony: "Mi!"

Christiana: "Don't worry Meadow's the same way so that means you love me very, much don't you?"

Harmony: "Mi! Mi! Mi!!!"

Christiana: "How about this I'll take you to a certain place in the city where no one knows where it's at hm?"

Harmony: "Mi!!"

Ana: "Hey! Who are you talking to? Ah! What is that thing?"

Christiana: "That's my pet fox cub."

Harmony: "*Hisses*"

Christiana: "She can sense evil and sin in people looks to me you're not what you seem."

Ana: (thinking) "I can't stand her ugh one day I'll find something to bring her down or at least make her life miserable."

Christiana turned around and walked away; Ana stood there with her hatred of Christiana grows more hoping that one day that she could get rid of Christiana for good.
