The Problem In Mesuda - Mesuda Village Arc

It had been a few days since the spar between Honō and Ash, when Honō and Witz were helping Ash unpack the last of his stuff from his move to Echilia.

“Thanks again you two for helping me unpack” said Ash grateful to Honō and Witz.

“No prob” replied Witz while putting down a box of Ash’s belongings into the corner of Ash’s new apartment.

Ash’s new apartment was a small yet modest size for a home, it had only three rooms, a bedroom, bathroom and living room, with a kitchen on the far side of it. The apartment was located about 15 minutes from the guild headquarters.

“As thanks for the two of you helping me how about I treat you both to some ice-cream In town” suggested Ash looking at the two friends he had made during his time in Echilia.

“Sure, sounds good” replied Honō as he sipped a coffee.

“Ya, ice-cream sounds great right now” said Witz with a look of depravity as she thought about the ice cream.

As they finished talking to each other they began to make their way to Rom’s Dairy the ice-cream parlour near Ash’s apartment. When the group entered the parlour they received a summons to the guild headquarters on their phones.

“Of all the times for a bloody summons” moaned Witz as she looked at the notification on her phone, still craving ice-cream.

“Oh well don’t worry I’ll still treat you to some ice-cream after” said Ash trying to comfort Witz with another promise of ice-cream.

“We better get heading if we’re going get some after” spoke Honō leading the them out of the parlour and towards the guild headquarters.

As they walked towards the guild the group talked about what the summons could be about and summarised it must be another mission near the great forest of Mithhar since that’s where nearly everyone in the guild had been getting a summons for.

When they arrived at the guild the place was more desolate then usual due to the increase in missions around the forest. As the group entered Armatura’s office they found him napping in his chair.

“Damn old man, gives us a summons right before we get ice-cream then is asleep when we get here” started Witz steaming from her ears nearly with rage as she full powered slapped her father awake causing a clap loud enough to pop their ears.

“Huh oh, Witz couldn’t you wake me up a bit gently” said Armatura unfazed by the strength of his daughters slap.

“No I couldn’t you summoned us right before we could get ice-cream” whined Witz with a sour look on her face.

“What age is Witz again?” Whispered Ash towards Honō behind Witz’s back.

“She’s twenty-three so only a year younger than us, yet she still acts like she’s five” replied Honō in a whisper as he sipped a coffee.

“Anyway as you probably all know there has been a rise recently in beast attacks throughout the continent around the edge of the great forest of Mithhar” stated Armatura itching his face where he had been slapped.

“Ya so I assume it’s another beast attack then, if so just say it and we’ll go handle it already” said Witz impatiently as she wanted to get the mission over with so she could get her ice-cream.

“It is a beast attack but the location is different then your usual missions, you see Mithhar has been getting the bulk of all the beast attacks due to most its land being forest. This has now lead to all of Mithhar’s guilds to be unavailable as they are handling multiple beast attacks throughout their nation and that leads me to our role. Our job will be to handle some beast attacks near the border of our nations” explained Armatura pulling out the written request from the Olym family, also known as the leaders of Mithhar.

“Oh so we get to take a trip to Mithhar” said Honō intrigued by the idea of going to see a new nation even if it was for work.

“Yes I guess you could look at it that way, anyway the village I will be assigning to your group is Mesuda village which is currently having attacks from bear type aether beasts” continued Armatura.

“Good now let’s head guys so we get back earlier” demanded Witz still irritated that she didn’t get her ice-cream.

As they finished talking Witz hurried the two men out of the office, to begin the journey to the border and later Mesuda Village.
