Journey To The Border- Mesuda Village Arc

As they started to make their way to the border of Echilia and Mithhar, Honō and Witz began to argue about her impatience.

“Witz you’re to much of a child at times” remarked Honō irritated at Witz for her inability to wait for ice-cream.

“Oh shut up you’re too serious Honō learn to chill a little” laughed Witz as she made her ice pun.

“Good pun” commented Ash while standing between the two as they bickered with one another.

“Well cause of your impatience Witz, we know nothing now about the mission” complained Honō sipping his coffee trying to calm done.

“That’s a good point” said Ash slowly getting less enthusiastic the more he commented on their bickering.

“Uhh men. Use your common sense if he gave us, two A ranks and a B rank this mission the beast are either A or lower but since we only barely bet an A rank before that means it’s then B rank or lower but bears tend to be that of a higher rank so more then likely we’re looking at probably a pack of like 5-6 bears of a B rank” explained Witz as she looked at the two men like what she said was common knowledge.

“Whoa, Witz great explanation” remarked Ash as he put his hand up for a high five.

“That makes sense but do we know that for sure? No, no we don’t and well it’s hard to prepare to hunt for a prey we don’t know the limits or numbers of” reasoned Honō as Ash still waited for Witz to return the high five.

“Fine I get what you mean but you’ll be fine, you always are. Sure look you handled the A rank in Zallo just fine” argued Witz finally giving Ash his high five causing Ash to smile as he thought he was going to be left hanging.

“Ya a broken shoulder and a concussion, super fine wasn’t I” snarled Honō as he finished drinking his coffee.

“Can you two stop fighting already, you’re both acting like kids” stated Ash growing tired of the two’s argument.

“Sure I’ll drop it if he will” replied Witz as she shrugged her arms in response.

“Good, now that, that’s over then Honō can I ask a few questions?” Asked Ash as he sighed a sigh of relief as they stopped arguing.

“Sure” responded Honō as he sipped another coffee.

“Why do you refer to beasts as prey and a mission as a hunt” questioned Ash confused on where Honō’s new coffee had come from.

“Oh that he comes from a family of hunters, like how you do blacksmiths. So he’s been doing this since he was a child causing him to form a few habits” answered Witz very quickly to Ash’s question.

“Oh um ok uhh next question then, how do you always have a coffee?” Joked Ash somewhat confused about why Witz had answered the question instead of Honō.

“No comment” laughed Honō after a short pause.

“Phew, so Ash should of mentioned this earlier don’t bring up things regarding why he hunts or anything about the past” whispered Witz to Ash, happy that the earlier question didn’t seem to affect Honō too much.

“Uh how come?” Asked Ash confused on why he wasn’t allowed to ask them kinds of questions.

“He has some trauma from a few years back that he still hasn’t gotten over” whispered Witz trying to make sure Honō couldn’t overhear them.

“Ah sorry for mentioning it” apologised Ash curious on what had happened to Honō but respectful enough not to pry.

“Thanks for understanding Ash” said Witz as she gave Ash a heartwarming smile.

As Ash smiled back at her she began to go a shade redder before turning away and walking on ahead of the two men.

It took the group the rest of the day and night to cross the border of the two nations. Thus beginning their journey to Mesuda village.
