Chapter 2:
Too Far
In the 8 years of romance genre that Rev had in his life was, 4 years of trust he built for Gianna and once they finally tied their worries and happiness together, with their vows and ride forwards to the newer journey, Gianna couldn't get pass of her mistakes from the past. But she never let it surface and cause Rev any further frustrations. The new bride and groom had many issues because they were together for 4 years and yet had a wall in-between, somehow Gianna carried her wall; still around her, but this one time she let one man enter inside those.
With all the time spent together, brought themselves, a gift of miracle, they were ready to make the two, now three. But when the real ruin shouldn't have taken place, just when Gianna was ready to let go of her delusional mental state, "She cannot become a mother, in this state." Gianna wept all the way from hospital to home, just when she thought she was ready to take the hardest decision ever for any woman, she wasn't able to start the privilege. "You only mentioned that the pain was temporary. Gianna your own mother is a doctor, how can you never let me take your concerns, you must have been in so much pain." Rev blamed his works, himself and what not, but the issue had started even before they both met.
Gianna suffered from bone cancer, even if the medicinal world was developed in this new century, the cancer was only cancer here, she was in her fourth stage of it. The thought of having a child was certainly not recommended not only for the child but also for the female body as well, plus it's not like they lived in 19th century to ensure that the society won't accept their problems. The year old bride and groom was in turmoil. Gianna did all the therapies, and every possible way to shut her brain but she was defeated by her 19-year-old teen self. An optimistic brain only worked on Rev's side. He gave up his job and spend next left years Gianna could spend with him.
One night on her patient bed, Gianna called Rev to joke around with him. She asked him to try again to be three or four, so that if she leaves, he will have the kids by his side. Both looked at each other with laughful faces, "You leave, and you live here in my heart." That's all he could think of, the cheesiest line he could think of, but for a person who is glued to the white sheets can get emotional of any little promise. She asked him if he could share the bed with her today, which was cramped up for two, but somehow he forgot the words of decline for past 3 years. He knows that any coming day will be a day of his own, alone only, so anything Gianna wants she has by her side.
On the very next morning, Gianna gave up the visible pain for three consecutive years, and left Rev in the state he was no longer optimist, or pessimist; rather his set of minds had gone bizarre. Because, last night he dreamt, he and Gianna traveled their adventure further, with all wrinkled faces and skin everywhere and they both had spent another 50 years together. Optimist? No, his mind played it over and over; again, and again to see the possible ways to erase the 14 years of Gianna suffering. Certainly, he joined the lab back, and started a new mission to play with time.

"You could just get an AI assistant and for the government worker it's even free. I don't really mind people calling me your assistant but you are enough rich, man!" Dario was bubbling around having small talk with Rev, because he needed to keep checking on him, sometimes the lab had such a pin drop silence that Dario once thought Rev was dead for real. Since the new machines got not a single *tuk-tuk* sound from typing or you need a pencil to work on the paper but Dario's lab room got his own assistant all the time with him, he actually don't really know how to work in silence.
"You do know that anything that reached Tabithha, she will sue me for causing any bad bug inside her database, plus I don't like to be any part of the system. I am completely doing this for my own gain, I don't work for the government anymore, if you do remember." Rev was intensely focused on what he was doing to reenter his codes and reopen the new method of stalking his wife from the past. His mind got into the habit of unconsciously answering any question Dario asks.
"I still don't understand how this is any way beneficial to you man." Dario was probably not good with motivation but he was sure to stick to the plan of 'negative thoughts train', when things looked completely nonsensical to him. But he was right in this, if all the technically seeing and approaching every possible way, Rev will change the course of the past, he will definitely change the future; the present. Any micro timely change caused in the life of Gianna will 100% hit the present and probably this whole lab will perish in that micro change.
Was a love-sick scientist not see the overrun of the output of his interference in the past. And why the hell does it have to be so technical, when he only needs to win over some love he could look for, or was initially his to start with? He believes that his share of love is still not full from Gianna yet.
It could have been easier if he found someone after a few years after Gianna left and just dwelled on fate and moved on. Simpler ways out, why not let the dead live in peace. Dario believed that even Gianna's ghost must be still around because this idiot could not let go of her and she unknowingly cannot reincarnate into a free bird maybe, only one animal type that got wings and reassembles peace. He also had doubt why the government was not irritated by this man?
"Sometimes I think Gianna possess your body and she speak out loud my overthinking by you, Dario." Rev said stopping his work and face fully to Dario to have any sign not on reality.
"Heh? Overthinking? But you said she was an angel." Dario was bored from all the work on repeat.
"Who said angels can't be negative?"
"I mean you described her such a life support of yours like she was an angel sent from above and now you are saying few points in counterview." Did Dario miss something? Was she just an angel in looks? Although he doubts how Rev scored such a chick.
" She was more of a lifesaver than supporter."
