Chapter 111:
Lucky Draw [100 word stories]
Hyperrealism is a genre of visual art in which a subject is rendered as close to (an objective) reality as it may get. I used to loathe it. Our perceived reality is always subjective. I also believe the style speaks of great skill, not great vision. My eyes do a fine enough job of capturing reality.
But recently, my opinion has changed. Contemporary abstract art is visionless and AI can render realistic images far more efficiently than a human hand can. In a system that no longer values true skill, what is more radical than continuing to hone your own?
