Arrival At Mesuda Village - Mesuda Village Arc

After they crossed the border of Mithhar and Echilia it took the group another day of walking and carriage rides to arrive at Mesuda village.

“So this is Mesuda Village, it’s kind of a dump” stated Witz as they entered the village.

“Well it’s certainly different then any village in Echilia” commented Honō as they looked around Mesuda village.

Mesuda Village was a dark gloomy village stuck between the great forest of Mithhar and the ocean. The buildings in the town all seemed to have been abandoned except for a cabin on the outskirts of the village by the ocean and a large church in the centre of the village, which had a large group of people standing outside of it as a man stood at the doors.

“How about we go over to the crowd at the church and see what’s happening or maybe even find out more information on the beasts” suggested Honō as he stared at the townspeople outside the church.

“Sure we can introduce ourselves as well while we’re at it” said Ash looking at Witz as he waited for her opinion on the situation.

Witz nodded in agreement and began to walk towards the crowd in front of the church to which Honō and Ash followed. The people of the village seemed pale, nearly monotone in appearance as they stood like statues frozen in front of the church. It looked as if the church was holding a service as the man on the stairs seemed to be a priest preaching scriptures from a black book with a golden image of an “X” on the cover.

The trio stood for almost an hour before the service had ended and the crowd began to disperse back into the streets of the village before disappearing into their homes. The trio walked up to the priest that had preached on the stairs.

“Hello we’re the guild members from Echilia sent to help with the beast problem” explained Witz in the most mannerly voice that Honō or Ash had ever seen her use.

“Ah I see, let me bring you to the bishop then” said the pale preacher emotionlessly before turning towards the door of the church and letting the trio inside.

As they walked with the priest towards the back of the church a girl paler than can be, walked past them towards the churches entrance on the verge of tears.

“Hey what’s this bishop like?” Asked Honō curious after seeing a girl cry as she walked from the  direction where the bishop supposedly was.

The priest replied with silence as he continued to walk towards to where bishop was.

“Not very chatty are you” said Honō as he began to worry about what had happened the girl and what kind of man this bishop was.

They had stopped outside a door before the priest plainly spoke,”the bishop is in the room ahead” then opening the door, letting them into the bishops chambers. The bishop was dressed in a black colouration of the typical bishop’s white attire.

“Welcome to Mesuda village, I assume you are to be the guild members from Echilia?” Questioned the Bishop as he looked the trio up and down before showing a slight face of disgust as he looked at Honō and Ash.

“Yes that would be correct your holiness, I am Witz Meka daughter of the current leader of Echilia and these are Honō and Ash trusted members of the proud Meka guild” answered Witz as she greeted the bishop, once again with more manners and respect then she had ever shown before.

“I see then there is no need for you here for “VX” will save us” said the bishop as he eyed Witz.

“Sorry your holiness but we must stay until the threat is gone” replied Witz with utmost respect.

“Fine then you may stay in the inn then until the so called threat is gone” stated the bishop as he dismissed them from his chambers.

As they made their way back to the entrance they began to talk. “Witz I had no idea you could talk so respectfully to someone” teased Ash as he nudged Witz with his elbow.

“Shut it that dude gives me the creeps, also was it just me or did he really want to get rid of us” said Witz as they began to exit the church.

As they exited the church they saw the girl from earlier sitting on the church steps crying her heart out.
