Chapter 4

" Man! You are out of this league, I mean how did Gianna chose you. Oh! Look at that sexy body and handsome most face he got." Dario got a weird habit with Rev. First is to judge him and second is to criticize him. But when Dario saw the picture of Gianna for the first it was when the project was in it's intermediate stage, it was Rev's late 30s, at that time Rev convinced the higher ups that he will never work any project related government but his own personal, because they caught him using the lab for personal use. That's when Dario entered in Rev's life, because a senior scientist was stripped off his title and was working with some rookies, it was weird feeling to share there space with a failure. Nobody was aware of the reason why a born genius was in the attic of a wonder architectural system. 

Without giving any "proper" sh*t about the situation, Dario saw it an opportunity to work with a person with immense knowledge. But now he is the only close relation left for Rev, so even when Dario lost the meaning of respect to Rev after knowing he left everything for a woman; who isn't alive now, boiled Dario's blood. People are plotting sh*/ty ways to kill the people under the name of  better development, only to earn  the hike in there salary.

After few years, Rev got all sorts of instruments and his own room in the lab, for no reason. Because the temptation of the quality of product in hands was too much, Dario pushed Rev to accept the offer, not reading the hidden underline intentions in his offering. Rev had it on and on, over the years. He was so used to being used, that he could write a '101 of how I was deceived', but that dude just made a worth enough attempts now not to be seemed bad yet get his ways out. Well, that is something to discuss later. When Dario first saw how Gianna looked like, all he said was, "She looks sad," even though it was a picture of Rev and her first time sharing the promising rings. After so many years of being alone, Rev had his 8 years of relationship, he had with Gianna played and replayed over an infinity now. In those few moments, he realized Gianna wasn't genuinely happy. Even though he knew it was because of her worries getting caught up, his guilt was replaying that scene thinking 'If only I had reacted those part in more support instead of annoyance, things would have been different.' Even though her condition was worse even before the year they both met. 

"I don't understand Gianna, she choose you. Like it's a comparison between steak and those eggplant replacement came up in past. Damn, I hated it when people were against meat. And here I literally get the same vibes. Maybe I'm quite right to say Gianna was crazy, lunatic perhaps-" He paused his audio just when Rev exhausted and burning glare landed on his forehead. Rev speaks less with words, that doesn't means his other senses will speak less, a glare landing on forehead was as dangerous as a laser beam digging a hole in the skin. Sometimes for no good reason, Dario picks up the path of destruction just to check that Rev's emotions are alive enough. And so, today is the day as well, is what Dario determined to do. "What wrong did I say? Huh? Gianna was a little lunatic, you had told so many times that even in happiness all she could find  was being threatened. I don't understand how you could never put any sense in a common thinker. We are scientist, we have so many therapist and psychiatrist, you could just-" "Dario, stop. You are crossing a line. I understand, women's emotions are not your cup of tea, but stop where you meet the line." Rev got up from his seat and walked towards Dario, well no, not to hit him, but to reach the fridge behind, he wanted some water to drink.

"But you never tell me, why did she always had worries, you always put it in the past memories box, dude, I want to know, what happened. Spill the tea, yo!" Dario was nearly a decade and half younger than Rev, just for the generation different made Rev's mind to keep Dario besides him. "It will bring many worst memories." Rev said. Also, it's not really time for a flashback.

The ground started vibrate a little, and in a blink the room started shaking like crazy; an earthquake was a possibility. But it's only the lab that was trembling not the view outside. Another experiment somewhere in the lab must have caused a little destructive scenario. But it was Rev's system that was the cause of tremble to the whole building. His blue holograms all around where glitching and lighting was changing color in all sorts. It was a time of emergency and the only ways to stop was to reboot the system. That means he might have to redo everything that got him reach this further in the past.

"If only you listened to me, and handed over all your research till now, I wouldn't had gone to such a length Rev. I traveled to the same timeline, so many times, because of you. And almost killed a man."

"You were right, she is after you. That's why we are not working on the project from past three days. I thought your depression came back." Dario nonchalantly started muttering words just to ease Rev's anger. Rev had done the same at an infinity times now, and just to loose all the hard work for woman's pride would be too pricey. Rev somehow located a bug in his system a few days ago, he also knew that it wasn't a simple one. Someone is trying to hack into the system. All he had to do was wait for few days to continue his work. Dario had his bot, so Rev got his brain trained to not to share any useful part of project in planning for future to be shared with Dario, although the guy is trustful but not the world. When he knew the project was about to accelerate further, Gianna's habit of overthink clings to Rev, he cannot help but to sense the troubles around him because of it. A good overthinking that can lead to find a solution rather than demeaning the word - overthinking, and putting all your decision's blame on technicality, is what also makes one coward, your decision in the present will always be right, it will be regret to past and opportunity to future.
