"What happened?" Dario asked when it was finally the time he felt they were back to some real stuff to work on. " I'm unable to access Gianna's health report."
"And why so? It shouldn't be that difficult... Or you forgot the basics of hacking?" Dario never once looked down on Rev as for 'intelligence of Rev'. He believe a guy who even couldn't think straight enough to give up a title everyone strives for, much be genius and genuine. It was not mocking, it pure intention to look out for a friend who is a mentor and a life long moral support. Rev can be mad, but it was not being 'unknowledgeable' was something any under-ranker could think of Rev. He made no friend, so does he never made an enemy, at least out of good intentions. Rev was an emotional fool for Dario. But he was reaching for something that was meant to be out of reach, way too far.
"I don't understand. The health tracker was always on, you know after I got to know Gianna, she always had those wristband on; always. And you also remember it was that time when there was a fight took place between android and iOS, because of those articles that circulated around the policies of privacy and in the end, it was left of people's choice to handle the system themselves and what not? You remember?" Rev likes to study, even though he was 7 years old when all the above happened he still remembers it as it was yesterday. With a plain look and unwavering eyes Dario said, " Sorry, I don't remember. I wasn't even conceived at that time. If only I was in my mama's belly, I would have at least remembered the zest of it. Puff!" Still with no sign of expressions to change, Rev calculated, " Right! It was even before your birth. But I somehow remembers those days, it was first time seeing a riot, maybe because of it."
"Yeah, right genius! If you try hard enough you could remember your past life and how your parents changed your diaper's." Dario sighed but heard Rev laughing, "Hehe... that can't be. Can someone still remember there past life? Wait... can they?"
"Dude!"
"I know, I know it's just a thought, not the reality. But I just don't feel like it will be easy to access the health history here."
"Yeah, from what I remember, the tech war was too fresh for my sophomore years."
"Right, you came from US, although the whole riot caused nothing to conclude. It became the same and the customers where given back all the tension for themselves. Privacy or not, was no concern for the tech companies, it was just that hologram were so new to use but the new generation was ready to adapt it was the people from the century before. Even thought technically they brought holograms in daily use." Rev's habit, he somehow explains this like a textbook.
"Like I want to remember all of it." Dario scoffed and continued, "... Then the war happened."
"Yeah!" Rev lowered his sight of vision. Dario lost so much to the war, that the dude came out numb to everything. And to Rev he only opens up but Rev thinks there is more to it that holding Dario back like he doesn't want to walk further to the path they walked till now. And respecting Dario's choice Rev never stepped ahead as well.
Then, something clicked. "Holograms!"
"What?" Dario chimed.
"Holograms. They had all the data in access just for the display. Father, I mean Gianna's father was a big android fan and it will be easier since they never switched the company. How can I not think of this." And so Rev got glued to his chair, couldn't even understand the time turned down the level of brightness. It was dark, he wasn't even aware when Dario left. When the canteen staff knocked on his door and even took back the sealed tray of dinner. What's the hurry, you ask? Time, was it ever in the control of a mere human. Centuries past only one thing stayed, which is the time. People changed, faces too, war happened. Cunning ate, the innocent personality trait diluted to devilish somehow. But time walked the same pace, no faster or slower. But the average human's age, still couldn't catch the pace and still thinks the time is running ahead.
Afterwards, Rev also doesn't remember how he end up sleeping in his couch, snoring away the worries to be got caught up with the delay.
But then again, "If you observe your surrounding, take a breath and just breath in the happiness, just be in the moment. Everything is a distraction you need a cause to focus. And you will walk hand-in-hand with time." 'What?' Rev voice came back muffed to him, like he was talking underwater. If he speaks he'll die by lack of gaseous form of oxygen.
"This rehab is for every being who is left with deep scar than the visible one. I want to help everyone to forget there worst and accept all the flaws." Just then Rev woke up. The underwater made him suffocated. Was it dream? No, it was as those blur vision and a woman speaking was too real; surreal.
"How did you do this? You basically walked into the technology brother Rev." Dario walked towards Rev from the screen and hugged him. "What are you talking about?" Rev asked.
"Don't you remember? You asked me to monitor your activity and somehow you connected your vision to all the devices Gianna had sensors on. And you reached her rehab session." Dario explained like why is Rev asking something he said himself.
"WHAT?"
