Chapter 3:

Episode 3

AWU Alliance

“Will you f*cking stop that?!” Ze said as he swatted away Veena’s hand pointing at him.

“Is that really you? Wait!” Veena said as a thought came in her head and rushed closely to Ze and pulled his collar down-

“Hey! You sh*tass! What the f*ck do you think you’re doing?!” Ze said as he tried to pull away from Veena’s grasp. But Veena kept forcing Ze’s collar down, exposing his bare collar bone

“They’re gone.” Veena mumbled, surprised that she couldn’t find what she was looking for.

“What’s gone?” Ayumi asks as she looks closer at what Veena is looking at.

“His animal tattoos! They’re gone!” Veena said as she also looked at Ze’s shoulders, hoping to find the tiger and dragon tattoos, but there were none.

“Tattoos? Oohh! I guess you didn’t notice the last time we visited him. Those were just-“ Ayumi couldn’t finish her sentence

“Those were just stickers, Dumbass.” Ze finally said as he pulled Veena's hands from him.

“Why the heck do you even have those?!” Veena exclaimed, a vein ready to pop out any moment

“Just because.” Ze said as he shrugged and handed the bag of snacks to Ayumi.

“I told Ze that the student council might not let him in the school because of his appearance. You know that they check every morning at the school gate, right?” Ayumi said as she picked an orange juice box and gave it to Veena

“Well, that explains the total makeover.” Veena said as she took a sip of the juicebox

“I don’t really give a f*ck about that but Ayumi said I could visit the cats if I comply.” Ze said he scratched his head.

“Ahhh yes, the cats.” Veena said as she rolled her eyes at Ze

“Okay, enough about that. We have something more important to do, remember?” Ayumi asked, clapping her hands to get their attention.

Veena and Ze both looked at Ayumi and said, “We do?”

“The recruitment…” Ayumi said as she pulled out a piece of paper from her pocket.

“Ms. Harley gave me the whole list of the recommended students.” Ayumi continued as Veena and Ze took a look at the paper

“So, who’s next after Ze?” Veena asked, finishing her orange juice

“Argh.” Ze flinched as he realized who the person next on the list

“It’s Shin. Shin Wisteria.” Ayumi said as she pointed at the paper

“Hmm, there’s no Shin Wisteria in our year.” Veena said as she scratched her cheek, thinking hard about who the next recruit.

“Same. I know almost all of my batchmates, but I don’t recall any Shin in our year.” Ayumi said with a shrug

“So, that means…” The two girls said simultaneously, and both looked at Ze, whose face was all scrunched up in annoyance

“Yes, he’s a second year.” Ze said as he scratched his head with one hand

“You know him?” Veena asked as she raised one eyebrow at Ze.

“We’re seatmates, but the sh*thead rarely shows up in class.” Ze said with a facepalm

“Oh! That makes it easier then.” Ayumi said with a smile, but Ze looked at her, knowing he does not like what she’s going to say

“What is?” Ze asked as he tilted his head, and Veena’s face lit up as she realized what Ayumi was trying to say

“It’s your time to shine, Ze! Because it’s your turn to recruit a member.” Ayumi said with an intimidating smile as Veena snickered at Ze.

“F*ck.” Ze said with a scowl

Now that recess is over, the three students finished cleaning up their clubroom and returned to their respective classrooms. To Ze’s dismay, he was assigned an important task, and that was:

‘How in the holy f*ck could I even recruit that shi*thead?!’ Ze thought as he scratched his head and planted his face on his desk. The question kept spiraling in his head as his imagination took in.

On his left side, a mini Ze devil appeared and said “Oh screw that task! It ain’t our problem.”

Then, suddenly, a mini Ze angel appeared on Ze’s right side and said, “But it is our problem. It’s the club’s problem, and Ze is officially part of the club.” The two beings kept bickering as Ze just stared at them, especially at the mini Ze devil, and the mini Ze devil noticed this.

“What?”Mini Ze devil asked, “I don’t know why, but that look awfully suits me instead of a robe and a halo.” Ze said bluntly as mini Ze angel nodded in agreement.

“Back to the topic, let’s say you agree to do this... how should you go about it? Blackmail? Death threats? Bribe? Torture?” Mini Ze devil suggested

“Let’s just do it like any normal person would: just ask Shin.” Mini Ze angel suggested instead as the three Ze’s looked at their seatmate, Shin who’s playing with phone and legs on his desk.

Shin noticed that someone was staring at him and looked at Ze and said, “Huh?! The f*ck do you want?”

Mini Ze devil finally said, “Okay, let’s just kill him.” “Make it a slow and painful death, please.” Mini Ze angel said

Ze shook his head as the two beings disappeared and remembered mini Ze angel’s advice ‘Just ask’

‘Okay, here it goes’

“Hey! Do you want to-“ Ze started but

“Okay, take your seats! Class is about to start.” He got interrupted by the teacher

‘What sh*tty timing,’ Ze thought

Classes went on, and the whole time, Ze kept sneaking glances at Shin to the point that’s a glare. Without a doubt, Shin felt Ze’s piercing gaze.

“-And that concludes our discussion for this class. Enjoy your lunch, students!” The teacher said as she exited the room

“Finally! Now where was I-“ Ze stood up and looked at his side only to find out that his seatmate had already gone out for lunch.

“That F*cker!” Ze exclaimed with frustration

Meanwhile during lunchtime

“Hmm… I wonder how it's going.” Ayumi said as she took a spoonful of her lunch.

“How’s what going?” Veena asked as she took a bite of her sandwich

“Oh! you know, Ze. I wonder if he could convince Shin.” Ayumi said as she shrugged

“Let’s just hope Ze doesn’t kill him first.” Veena said as she took another bite, and Ayumi nodded in agreement

-Back to Ze-

“I’ll kill that bastard.” Ze’s thoughts were spoken aloud as he frantically searched the whole school for Shin.

The students are leisurely enjoying their lunch time. But there’s one student who’s practically out of breath and not enjoying his lunch time

“That sh*tass! Where the f*ck did he go?” Ze said as he panted, trying to catch his breath from all the running from the school. Ze looked up in every direction, and the only thing he noticed was a girl with an ahoge carrying too much bread and buns on her hands, and as Ze already predicted, she couldn’t carry them all.

‘Tsk. That sh*thead could wait.’ Ze thought as he approached the girl and took some of the food from her, and of course,e this action surprised her

“Wha-?!” and before she could say something, Ze already beat her to it

“I’m not stealing your food, okay? It just seems you need help, so I did.” Ze said, holding back the cursing ‘cause he wouldn’t want to scare the girl off.

“Oh.. Thank you. I’m Eru, by the way.” Eru gave her thanks as she smiled at Ze. And the two started walking to where Eru was heading at

“I know.” Ze said as he tried to look left and right, hoping to spot Shin

“Eh? How did you know, Ze?” Eru looked at Ze, shocked that Ze knew her name, but Ze was just as shocked, wondering the same.

“ ‘Cause you’re popular,r and how did you know MY name?” Ze asked as he pointed his finger at himself

“Well, I should know my friend’s seatmate, right? And besides, I always see you when I go to see Shin.” As Ze heard this, he stopped and realized the direction they were going to was:

“OI! Eru! What took you so long? I’m so hungry!” Shin said as he rubbed his tummy.

‘Found you, you f*cker!’ Ze thought as he approached Shin, and since he couldn’t use his hands because he was carrying Eru’s food, he used his leg instead and kicked Shin right at his leg. ‘There! So you wouldn’t run off.’ Ze thought as he smirked

“Hey! You little! What was that for?” Shin said as he grabbed Ze’s collar close to his face and was about to land a punch on Ze but

“STOP! You two!” Eru shouted at them and suddenly-“GROWWWLLLLL!!!!!” both boys blushed and embarrassed by their stomach’s growling

“There’s enough food for everyone, so stop fighting and eat,” Eru said as she gave some buns to Shin, took a seat on the bench, and started eating

The two boys listened and took a seat on each by Eru’s side and proceeded to eat for lunch

There was an awkward silence as the three of them tried to finish the bunch of bread and buns.

“So, why did you kick him?” Eru said, trying to break the ice as she pointed to Shin, who was chomping the buns

“I did it so he wouldn’t run away.” Ze said as he took another bite of his bun and continued his explanation.

“I was trying to recruit him to our club earlier but that dimwit ran off before I could utter a word.” Ze finally said as he finished his bun and looked at Shin, who was maybe at his 7th bun, chomping like he’s been starving for months. ‘What an appetite, tsk. Tsk.’

“A club?” Eru asked, and Ze explained the whole ordeal about the club, exactly what Ayumi had explained to him when they were in his apartment.

“Not interested.” Shin finally said, after finishing who knows how many breads and buns

‘Welp, I tried.’ Ze thought as he rolled his eyes

“Can I join?! Sounds like fun!” Eru said, smiling while clapping her hands. Eyes full of excitement

“Of course. There’s time for club activities after classes. Let’s go to the clubroom together.” As Ze said this, Shin quickly looked at the two who were busy discussing things for the club.

*RING! RING! RING!*

“I guess lunchtime is over. See you after class, Ze.” Eru said as she stood up and waited for Shin, but he remained seated. He was mumbling something, but Ze and Eru couldn’t hear it.

“Dude, can’t you say it more loudly?” Ze said as he cupped at his ear trying to hear what Shin was saying

“I said I’ll join too!” Shin said as he blushed, red reaching to his ears
