Chapter 10:
The Storm Within
SOMEWHERE ANCIENT
In a steep and dark forest, two figures were battling each other with one bearing a golden staff while another held a titanium looking spear. The battle between these two was intense as they mercilessly destroyed the forest that they were in.
The one with the golden staff but in a womens voice "Your end is inevitable Kami!" Before she flew up to the sky and violently landing onto the ground, sending a powerful wave that caused the staff wielding fighter to be taken aback.
They immediately recovered, revealing themselves to be Yu Kami but more younger.
"I will not allow you to corrupt the islands with your selfish desires!" Said Kami. He then lifted his spear up into the sky where a giant bolt of lightning hit the spear, covering it in a enchanted-like modification. "You have disrespected the lands for too long!"
The two took it into the sky where they continued to act reckless in their attacks. The staff wielder aggressively attacked, causing some of the armour that Kami had on to break off, exposing his skin.
Yu roared as he lunged in with the spear. The staff wielder used the staff to shield herself but unexpectedly, the spear broke into pieces with the now seperated shards falling onto a river where they were being washed away.
She roared in anger and shock by the loss of the weapon. She then turned to Yu with murderous face where she briskly took out metallic like pins that she placed onto her finger and proceeded to jam it into Kami's chest while he was temporarily vulnerable.
Yu ripped her hand out, the pins falling off her finger but the woman continued her assault as she used her long nails to dig fresh wounds gaps into Kami.
Kami had enough and ripped out the handle part of the spear, revealing a long blade-like chain which he used to wrap the woman.
He shouted "THIS ENDS TONIGHT!" Before he chanted something causing the woman, still chained, to burst into bright light. Her particles rose up into the sky to whatever lied above.
Seeing that it was over, Yu was free to relax as he freely fall onto the soil of the partially destroyed forest. He looked at the wounds that the woman had given up and not wanting to experience anything fatal, he stood up and headed to a nearby river.
After a couple of minutes of searching, he found river that had a waterfall that also had golden sparkles existing within.
Regardless, Yu placed his feet onto the water, feeling its cold wave as it felt tickled by it. He carried some water to where the wounds were, cleaning them one by one, starting with the one at the bottom.
His hand was covered in blood and therefore, he placed his hand on the river where it disappeared in mere seconds.
He proceeded to do the same thing with the next wound and then finally to the giant wound where the woman lodged the pins into him. After a couple of hours of cleaning, Yu was clean from blood as he was quick to bandage the open wounds.
He rose up and was about to leave when he suddenly heard crying coming from within the waterfall. Curious, Kami walked within the waterfall, finding a newborn child crying on what appeared to be something resembling an incubator.
Upon seeing Yu, the baby begun to calm down and reached its arm out, as if he was its father. And not wanting the child to cry, he lifted the baby up and doing so, the child began to express a little smile.
And seeing the child smile made him smile as well.
He was about to leave until he saw the little blood stream that he had washed off began to make its way to the incubator-like object and within seconds, what seemed to be a cocoon becoming a butterfly, another child was born, also crying.
Kami was shocked by what he was witnessing. And like the previous child, it begun to reach its arms out as Kami had confirmation that the newborn children in front of him exist due to his blood.
Exiting the waterfall, two different beams appeared from above with their shapes resembling the sun and the moon. The sun-shaped beam was emitted towards the first born child while the moon-shaped beam was emitted towards the second born.
The two newborns closed their eyes as the beams transferred them their energy.
After the transfer was complete, the two shaped beams vanished, never to be seen again. Yu was left stunned by the event that were unfolding in front of him. As he left the river water, it began to react.
Yu along with the newborns watched as the water acted chaotically, as if it was forming another newborn child but something was causing it to act this way that was difficult to explain.
Out of nowhere, a storm appeared with elements such as lightning, thunder, wind and rain circling around the waterfall.
Suddenly, a silhouette for each appeared. These were warriors that existed before Yu.
The silhouttes spoke, all in unison, "It is time!" As they lifted their hands and emitted the same beams onto the final bloodstream of Yu Kami's as it reached the middle.
Yu and his children watched in suspense as the final child took form in front of their very eyes while the emitted beams began to amplify the newborns arrival.
Each silhoutte saying something, seperately.
The silhouette of lightning said, "With the swiftness of lightning, I grant you thee."
The silhouette of thunder said, "With the roar of thunder, I beseech you thee."
The silhouette of wind said "With the might of wind, I gift you thee."
The silhouette of rain said "With the tears of rains, I give you thee."
Then suddenly, the water from the river formed something that moved like a snake as it wrapped itself around the almost born child.
The water says "And with the resilience of sea, I summon you thee."
Together, all four silhouettes and the water itself, said in unison, "Arise, Tempest Ocean!"
The child was fully created and in doing so, the water carried the child to where Kami was where they placed them on the ground.
The child didn't seem to move much while it had its eyes closed. The silhouettes looked at the child before they turned and returned to whence they came.
AT YU KAMI'S QUARTERS
The first and second born children were already dressed and had grown small puffs of hair while they played cheerfully with their father.
While a mage was inspecting the third child who had woken and looked at them with no emotion visible.
Kami left his children with one of the soldiers while he dashed to the mage. He asked "Well?"
The mage responded, "They were there for a reason, Yutarus." The mage then took out an old giant clothe that showed images, "It was said that the creator of the islands would bear a child... A child that the five mighty warriors would entrust their powers into... For you see this child here... He is destined for greatness... But he is also destined for chaos..."
Kami could see the mage was somewhat intimidated by the childs appearance.
"When the time comes, Yutarus, your son will decide what path he shall choose."
Kami looks at his son who now stares at the ceiling, still with no expression.
