Chapter 1:
Jurassic World: Genesis
Author's Note: The story is not formatted like a traditional novel.
1. The story is technically in third person by a narrator.
2. When a character speaks, their name will appear before what they say and it will be followed by a colon. For example? Shu: this is not a normal dinosaur.
Chapter 1: The Arrival
Narrator: The year was 2030, and humanity had done the impossible—revived dinosaurs. Scientists called it the greatest discovery in history. The world called it a potential disaster, Superpowers like China, the U.S.A., Russia, and India rushed to claim control over these creatures for military purposes. But when global tensions escalated, international pressure forced governments to abandon their plans.
That’s when GenX, a powerful bioengineering corporation, stepped in. Led by trillionaire visionary Larry Parker, GenX took sole control of the project. But Parker had no interest in war—he wanted to build the greatest theme park on Earth.
Welcome to Jurassic Genesis.
A massive island resort on Isla Norka, deep in the Pacific Ocean, A place where dinosaurs once again walked the Earth—not as science experiments or weapons, but as attractions. The world was invited to witness history.
Narrator: With the grand opening just days away, Parker extended an exclusive VIP invitation to five experts—each chosen for a specific reason.
1. Shu – A former military soldier, hired to assess the park’s security. If dinosaurs were truly contained, he would know.
2. Ken – A paleontologist, brought in to ensure the dinosaurs were scientifically accurate. The park prided itself on realism.
3. James – An animal trainer, there to test if dinosaurs could be conditioned like modern animals. Could they be controlled?
4. Harley – A biologist, assigned to study their adaptation. Were these creatures stable, or were genetic mutations causing unforeseen problems?
5. Dawn – An archaeologist, invited to consult on ancient ecosystems. If dinosaurs were back, what else could humanity bring to life?
Narrator: As the five experts arrived at Isla Norka, they saw massive crowds gathering for the grand opening. Families, reporters, celebrities—all eager to witness living dinosaurs.
But while the world celebrated, deep beneath the park, something was stirring.
Narrator: Five days had passed since the grand opening of Jurassic Genesis.
The park was a global sensation. Thousands of visitors marveled at the sight of living dinosaurs, and everything seemed to be running smoothly.
But deep within the restricted research facility, hidden from the public eye, something far more dangerous was happening.
21 June 2034
Location: Restricted Laboratory – Isla Norka
(Inside a dimly lit laboratory, red warning lights flicker as two scientists stand before a reinforced observation chamber.)
Dr. Convey: staring through the glass “This… this is beyond anything we’ve ever created.”
Dr. Henry: analyzing data on a holographic screen “We engineered it using the genes of Velociraptor, Deinonychus, Therizinosaurus, and many more. The result… is something entirely new.”
Narrator:
Inside the chamber, a massive, unseen creature shifted in the darkness. Its breathing was slow and calculated, almost as if it were listening.
Dr. Convey: glancing at the temperature readings “It’s smart. Too smart.”
Dr. Henry: smirking “That was the goal. We didn’t just want a dinosaur. We wanted the ultimate predator.”
Narrator:
A low growl echoed through the chamber. The scientists instinctively stepped back. The reinforced glass vibrated as the creature’s claws scraped against the walls.
Then, it did something unexpected.
It stopped moving completely.
Dr. Convey: nervously whispering “Why did it—”
Suddenly, all the lights in the lab shut off.
A single red emergency beacon flickered on.
Then came the alarm.
WARNING! CONTAINMENT BREACH DETECTED.
Narrator:
Deep inside the restricted research facility, alarms blared. The red emergency lights flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls.
Then came the gunfire.
A rapid burst of bullets echoed through the hallways, followed by screams—screams that were cut off too quickly.
Inside the lab, Dr. Convey and Dr. Henry stood frozen, their breathing shallow.
Dr. Convey: panicked “W-What is that sound—?”
A deep, guttural growl rumbled through the air.
Dr. Henry: whispering, grabbing his pistol “Get your gun. Now.”
Narrator:
Something was coming.
A shadow moved beyond the glass window of the lab. Claws scraped against metal. Heavy footsteps echoed—slow, deliberate. It wasn’t just a dinosaur.
It was hunting.
Dr. Henry dove behind a counter, his heart pounding. Dr. Convey, trembling, rushed to grab the gun from a nearby security locker.
His hands fumbled with the latch. His breath was shaky.
Then—he heard it.
A low, deep growl.
Right behind him.
Dr. Convey: barely whispering “I-Is that you, Henr—?”
Slowly, he turned his head.
His eyes widened in terror.
A massive, shadowy figure loomed over him. The dim red light reflected off its scaled hide. Sharp claws twitched in anticipation. Its teeth gleamed as it opened its jaws ever so slightly—just enough to let out a chilling, unnatural snarl.
Before Dr. Convey could scream—
The creature struck.
A sickening crunch echoed through the lab.
From his hiding place, Dr. Henry heard the sound of tearing flesh—followed by a horrifying scream of pain.
Then—silence.
Dr. Henry shut his eyes, gripping his gun tighter. He was next.
